Service was epic. Ice cream was proper delish. Reminiscent school vibes were cool as. Super into this place. The only bad thing is I live down the road!
Best icecream, we love coming here after Tuckshop burgers (or before, don't judge)! The flavours are all delicious, and I love trying the substitute teacher flavour every month. If the salted coconut is on the menu, don't think twice. Seriously the best flavour ever!
A nostalgic trip down memory lane, this american style old school ice creamy produces delicious and creamy flavours of house made ice cream that is regularly rotating.
We were on the hunt for ice-cream and/or sorbet as we live in the area and OMG! What a find... I had the hazelnut and fig ice cream and it was the most scrummy thing I think I have ever had… full of flavour and big pieces of fig, it was proper!
My partner had sorbet and I can’t remember what his was now but it was terrific.
Shout out to a quality place making quality products as this was like the ice-cream our mom makes which I thought couldn’t be compared to, but wow, this is the real thing.
Also, the guy serving us, the owner, was speaking proudly about how his wife is a great chef and makes the ice-cream herself, which added to the experience as who doesn’t love a man that speaks so lovingly about his wife? Winning.
We will be back and referring to all our friends, fantastic place.
We know this place from tuck shop take away which is a few stores down. Apparently it’s the same owner so we can bring the food there to eat.
The staff is very knowledgeable of the ice cream and is able to ‘sell’ their product. Originally we don’t have plan to try the ice cream but he raves that the ice cream is home made and not as sweet as store bought.
We ordered mint chocolate chip and coffee which the name was quite fancy, something like ‘bomb Jesus’.
True to it’s word, the ice cream is just mild sweetness level, very lovely. The mint taste is very strong and we love it. So is the coffee, there is nuts in it though. We don’t mind. The kids totally loved it.
It’s different from other place and has selling point. Will definitely come back again if in the area.
I have been coming to Sundae School ice creamery from day one but its taken me for ever to write a review because I didn't want to share, but it is really SO GOOD !
WARNING !!! its only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday which is a huge problem because you can really get addicted and can not possibly get a fix till Friday again, and even then you have to wait till 3 p.m. !
We are talking serious, authentic home made, enormous trouble to maintain the most flavoursome ice cream ever ! and the flavours are wild and fabulous.
Liquorice has been one of my favourites, but the banana and bacon was also fantastic. Their alcohol flavours are amazing, and I do tend to lean towards the crazier combinations, and they have new flavours every week, and since you don't know which ones they are going to drop, you have to try what they have when they have it, so what I'm really saying is that you have to have more than one scoop.
The other thing you need to know here is that they make their own sauces and toppings, so nothing is out of a handy plastic bottle, and each of these toppings and sauces are a little bit of paradise in themselves. You're talking about people who are serious about their craft.
Their namesake sundaes only come with vanilla ice cream so you can really appreciate the sauces and toppings - NO EXCEPTIONS ! and me, who never orders vanilla because it is much too ordinary, had to admit, yes, it can be delicious, especially with ANY of the sauces that are offered.
These people are serious about quality and flavours and I appreciate their dedication, especially when the results make me so happy.
Don't fall for Clinton's severe school marm demeanour, he's really a pussycat
Read about this place and sounded great, it was even better than that. Amazing ice cream, if you love ice cream and seek quality hand made stuff not crappy factory stuff then youve found your mecca. I just wish it were 7 days so i could go any time i had the craving....
Great set up, friendly service (fantastic explanation of the menu), and the ice cream.... THE ICE CREAM! Possibly the best i've had.
As a coffee addict i couldn't go past the bom jesus, coffee with chocolate and nuts and other things through it, so yum!
Highly recommend if you love GOOD ice cream :)
What a treat to have this incredible ice cream shop open in the neighbourhood!
The ice cream sundae is my go to for a weekend treat that's big enough to share with my boyfriend.
Also love the unique flavours that you won't find anywhere else!
Will definitely be a regular for the awesome ice cream and super friendly service :)
The flashing neon ice cream sundae sign on the front window is the first thing you notice and boy, does it bring a smile to your face. It’s very much reminiscence of an ice cream parlour from back in the days, and your inner child will most definitely be summoned out. There’s a list of flavours behind the counter, and Clinton Serex (the mastermind behind Tuck Shop Takeaway) is there personally to explain all the flavours to customers. With options of milkshake, spiders, ice cream sandwiches and the namesake, sundaes, I was tempted to order one of everything. Common sense prevented me from doing so, and I decided on the Bom Jesus (single origin coffee) ice cream sanga and a scoop of Sprinkles (vanilla coated in 100s & 1000s).
My verdict? Two thumbs up! Delightfully creamy and soft consistency, and flavours that jump out at you. There’s no artificial rubbish whatsoever, and the taste speaks for themselves. The homemade vanilla cookie was a dream too; crunchy without being too crumbly and this holding its shape well, and possessed a delicate vanilla flavour and sweetness.
I only wished $5.50 would get me a much bigger single scoop!
Creamy, delish ice cream. Prices are a bit steep and serving size is small but that is all excused by how great the flavours and quality. Must eat at.
