Hi to all at vutu. I went for my 1st visit to 2 brothers brewery today to have a couple of beers and some food. Well I was so happy that your food truck was there. My partner who is Vegetarian had the vegan curry. I myself also enjoy veg/vegan food. suffice to say the flavours and the warmth of the spices was incredible. I myself had the lamb and salad. WOW, just wow, unlike any spiced lamb I have had. Incredible flavours, washed down with a cold beer. Even the salad dressing was full of flavour. I could not fault. We will definitely be visiting you at Kooyong Rd. 2 thumbs up.!!! super friendly staff! Thanks so much for the best lunch.
This is a hidden gem with the tastiest Nepalese cuisine around ! Their curries are really fresh and flavoursome , the chilli momo's are to DIE for , great value for money + the staff and owners are really friendly and helpful . Pay no attention to the twats and trolls giving this a 1 star rating all at the same time. Just a bunch of low lives trying to bring the business down with false reviews . Come try for yourself. You will not be disappointed ;) !
Vutu delivered on time, but I would have waited an extra hour for the food they dropped off. Flavors I could smell the moment the food arrived, and carried through and built to be a perfect meal. Will be eating here again.

What a surprise that was! Wonderful for the taste buds and food palate..would recommend any time
One of the best nepalese restaurants I've been so far in Melbourne. Typical nepalese dishes that reflects what we eat and how I've grown up eating at various occasions back home! A must go place.. Definitely made for sharing.
Best Nepali food outside Kathmandu. A must try "everything" on the menu.
Hands down the best Nepalese restaurant. Always loved the food here. Momo's are great, my all time fav thukpa during a cold night and allo achar. Damnn, got no words. Simple, passion for food and quality is definitely there
Ordered the home alone and bara off UberEats, huge serving, and absolutely delicious meal! Will definitely be ordering again. Seafood curry was spicy and had a tonne of flavour and the mungbean pancakes were huge and very filling. Can't wait to try more on the menu! Thanks :)
Vutu is a family run business that specialises in Kathmandu Street Food. Like the meaning of the word, the small eatery is mostly made up of the kitchen stove or ‘cooking area’. As soon as you step inside, there is a definite welcoming and friendly atmosphere, everyone is smiling and the whole place smells delicious!
Tried this yesterday for the first time. Amazing food, tasty and fresh ingredients. Lamb and chicken were cooked to perfection. Will definitely order it again!
I think the food here is absolutely great, but the portions are too small and too expensive and some of the prices are too high and somewhat disproportionate (the $100 family meal is ridiculous). Watching the owner walk out and leaving the chef and one other to manage an influx of orders, both in store and phone, with a new customer having to wait far too long for food, means three customers including ourselves not returning. Having to order more food to feel satisfied and over spending is not my idea of value for money street food. Brilliant food, lovely people and hopefully a reassessment of portions and pricing will ensure this great business thriving into the future.
Have walked past this place so many times and said we need to try there... Finally went there and definitely worth it. We had the momo, chatamari and lamb curry- so much flavour and so fresh. Can't wait to come back and try something else
We've ordered delivery twice from Vutu and both times have felt like raving about it. The food is delicious, flavourful, and so much more interesting than your run-of-the-mill Nepalese dishes available at Indian restaurants. The Momo is my favourite - we ordered lamb, and they were juicy and so tasty. The chatamari was yummy and I can totally imaging buying these from a food truck over and over! The huge range of gluten free and veg options is brilliant too, and rare for easy take-away. Will eat again!
First time having take away from Vutu tonight. Had an amazing and full of flavour chicken Sekuwu. Can't wait to come back and try some other food from there.
Staff were lovely, cooked super quickly, the food is homemade and delicious. They did the perfect amount of spice in my chicken chow mein and I am such a fan, definitely coming back!
Staff were lovely, food was amazing, especially the goat curry which was delicious. Lots of other things on the menu we wanted to try but there were only two of us! Definitely recommend.
Tried this yesterday, got takeaway and the containers they use (not plastic) are great because the food was still warm when I got home.
I went overboard and tried Sekuwa, Momo(wife's favourite), Bara & Chatamari all of which are 'street food' . Also tried the goat curry which was delicious and fragrant with a sneaky heat to it. The flavours were genuine and all dishes had a fresh taste about them, though might be a little salty for some palates.
We went there tonight and stayed seated at the bar. It was great! We had our private space, a good view into the kitchen and the food was really good! The staff is very friendly , helpful and fast! Great experience- best Nepalese street food in town
A friend took us to this place tonight. It was delicious! And the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the menu.
There were many vegetarian options. I really recommend the three mushroom dish; it was incredible. Also do not miss the carrot dessert. I would never have thought to order a carrot desert but you will definitely not regret it.
I stumbled into this place and was VERY impressed. The staff were extremely friendly, taking the time to explain the different menu items and gave their honest recommendations. We ordered 3 curries, goat, chicken and lamb, and it was near impossible to say which was the favourite! It was the most tender meat, with flavours that activated dormant taste buds!
We also had dumplings, which came with a delicious zesty sauce. The menu has great vegetarian options too, so I'll be coming back to try their lentil soup (there's 2 kinds) during these cold months.
They suggested dessert, so we accepted, (given the success of the meal so far!) and had the carrot pudding. This is something I would usually skim past (normally vouching for something like chocolate) but the owner said it was her favourite, so we tried it and I couldn't eat it fast enough! I actually normally gate carrots, so it's really saying something about the dessert!
All in all- great service, great food.
Plus they deliver! I'll be back with mates.
Wow, what a variety! Lovely smells and spices. Great clean and friendly environment. Awesome food, Highly recommended.
Thanks Vutu :)
for a lovely meal
Got a chance to taste the food at the Moving Feast in Canberra.
Delicious food, great prices.
The mutton curry with pulao rice was fabulous, though the meat was a little bit chewy it's what you would expect with mutton.
The nepalese dumplings were delicious, even better with the sauce!
If you want to experience the taste of Kathmandu street food, Vutu is the place to be. Highly recommended for those who wants to try Nepalese cuisine.
They have wide selection of menu including kids menu. They do have a few seating arrangements. Mostly they deliver at your door step. They also so the catering according to your needs.
At first I was hesitant to have Nepalese food as my past experience has been that they tasted exactly the same as Indian food, however having friends that have previously been there and on their advice I went.
In all honestly I was surprised. The food did not taste like your typical Indian food, instead it was vibrant, full favoured and delicious. I learnt the true meaning of traditional Nepalese food and was surprise to see other Nepalese people eating there.
I would recommend everyone to attend and try their 'True and Traditional' section. The Momos (I had lamb), the Bara (had chicken) and their Chatamari were excellent with the portion size being large enough to feed a family.
You will not be disappoint.
Great food, amazing customer service, true Nepalese flavors, large serving sizes, good value for money, quint little eating area, friendly staff who were attentive and explained the menu options thoroughly. Recommend for something different to try.
Never having tasted true Nepalese food before, this was just so good, worth the 40 min drive to get there, Mish suggested a couple of things first time up, which was very helpful. Flying solo, next time will take a few more people to enjoy the treats of Nepal .
Delicious and the Buffalo meat is great and different. i much prefer to Indian as its much lighter and different. I loved the carrot desert and i don't like deserts!
Amazing food. Home alone special is one of the best value meals you can get
Limited seating so best for take away and deliver. Super tasty reasonably priced
