Review Off The Hook Kosher Fish & Chips - Caulfield

Ordered through Deliveroo and the food was terrible. The fish portion was tiny and tasted old with little flavour. The chips were over cooked in old oil. The fish cakes were just not great, really dense and tasteless. Deliveroo were great and refunded our money.

Dirty, disgusting and a rip! Fish and chips weren't fresh and cooked in old oil. The best part about my lunch was the coke. Just one of those places you regret ever walking into

Avoid online order and if you go in check you have what you ordered before you leave. Just ordered this using deliveroo (turned up in a timely manner). Overview: -fish meal: salmon, Mediterranean topping, chips, salad $22 (forgot topping, forgot salad) that left average fish/chips, I'm not marking down for the fact they forgot stuff, this score is for what we ate (2/5) note: chips don't travel well, so may have been a 2.5? -tartare sauce (wife said less tart more tasteless, I personally liked it but then I don't normally eat it) -tomato sauce 50 cents (0/5 forgot) -can of drink (5/5) -fish burger $10 (bland 1.5/5) only writing price as they have options and the others that were over ten bucks may be better. -4 potato cakes ($4), had run out so instead of letting us or deliveroo know (previous restaurants did this) they gave us 3 banana fritters instead. Stunk out the whole house. FYI sweet does not equate to savoury. Put immediately in bin (0/5) -coleslaw (note this was ordered additional and was not the side salad that should have come with the salmon meal), it's coleslaw, I don't know what to say other than the cabbage was fine but the sauce lacked tang (2/5). Paid Total ($56) Less: Deliveroo fee ($5) excellent service Less: Online tip for rider while ordering ($2) Less: Tip to rider on delivery ($2 cash) So food alone: Total ($47) I calculate missing salad, mediteranean sauce, tomato sauce and 4 potato cakes would be like ($8)... So I'm judging only the $39 worth of food we did get. 1/5* Hope you have better luck, there's too many options out there now, that we won't order from here again (we don't require kosher but if you do then it may be an option...). This place isnt great. The chips are kind of oily and taste like the fryer hasnt been changed in a while. I also got a fish burger and the bread was rather stale. Ive given it a go a few times but realised there are much better options around.

Order through Uber eats. I'm not one to complain bout food but the fish was dry and old!! Oil was dirty. Best part of my meal was the coke. :/

I am not one to complain but this "meal" was terrible. Barramundi burger was stale and lacking. Salmon cakes were missing the Salmon and chips were withered and dry. Disappointing would be an understatement.

First kosher fish and chips place I've eaten at! More chips than fish but both were good. Nowhere to sit inside the restaurant and limited seating available outside.

Delicious food and excellent value for money! Try the Asian Salmon next time you're there. Will be back :)
