This is a great little place, beef is tender and full of a rich stewed flavour. Soup is not bad, but the start is the noodles. All three together, mixed with some herbs and onion make this a great lunchtime meal! I will come here again and again!

When my bestie Pat asked me whether I want to try dry Noodles, it took me less than a second to answer with an up and down head node. He straightaway took me to Lanzhou and ordered the Special Beef Noodle under Dry Noodles.
Before we get into detail with the food, let's talk about the restaurant ambiance and other things. I fell in love with the color combination of Green and White. The seating is perfect and has utilized the space properly. However, the high chair seats which run in parallel with the walkway could have been avoided as it makes it hard to walk around when people have bags on their shoulders. The interior is maintained well, loved the green theme, and it is well-lit inside except for the seating. The staff is amiable.
It was my first dry noodles, and it was lip-smacking. Not too spicy yet flavorsome. You get to choose your noodles type and spiciness level. Don't forget to check their 'specials' window near the cash counter. Last time it was pork ears.
Couple of things I wish was a bit different; first, EFTPOS minimum is $25, which is a bit old fashioned in this time. I know there are a lot of ATMs around, but it's an inconvenience. The pricing is perfect but could have been better if they lower it down to $12. The seating may seem a bit tight-packed at times, and you can't complain much as there is a campus next door. I hope they are going to expand the restaurant to a more prominent place or do some rearrangement of seating.
PS: If you are into noodles, then this place is a must-try. They have many outlets across Melbourne, and I wish all the very best.
PPS: I am visiting them for lunch right after posting this review. Love to recommend this place to all of my friends out there.

Already know this place and been there since 2 years ago as a university student. The location is very close to Caulfield station, and even just a 2-3 minutes walk from the university. Usually it is really busy because quite a lot of students are having food there. Fortunately, the service is fast, even lots of orders from the takeaway delivery apps. The menu is very simple as well, you can choose the level of spicy, just depends on the your preference. Overall I think the food is good with a reasonable price, and the portion is big for everyone. Will be back when I go nearby.
Very good noodles. Always bringing friends here. The broth is light but flavourful and the noodles have a satisfying texture. The beef itself is well marinated and has a good strong flavour.
My favourite noodle bar. Its always good food when I come here. They don’t make you wait too long and their reward program is the best because you get free food when you come often.

Usual go to the store at the Glen . Good to know that the store also located at Caulfield .
It’s more simpler version and less vibrant than the Glen store ..
Also much simpler menu .
But meals are similar . Mix of experience and new staff.
Also pickup is much cheaper than delivery . A lot of delivery personnel during peak hours and bit of wait.

I have to say that this is one of the best noodle bar in Melbourne. I really like the special beef noodle. Fantastic. And its location is very convenient for train and trams.

This is my usual go to place if I want to eat out but don’t know where to eat. Really nice noodle and the spicy beef is so tender and delicious. Highly recommend if anyone wants to try out what authentic food tastes like in north- west China!
Been addicted to this chain and am having my 4th bowl this week at its Caulfield location. Feeling a bit disappointed because it doesn't meet the bar set by its counterparts. Still a decent and quick feed that I will come back to if in the area.
This place has the best dry beef noodles and there famous Lanzhou beef noodle soup is great. I also got a free side dish. I will definitely be coming back.

Small casual Chinese noodle bar with a small menu. It was my first time trying Lanzhou due to my boyfriend’s recommendation. I’d say it lived up to my expectations, food came out fast and hot. Would recommend this place to others!

The restaurant is next to Caulfield station. It provides Yummy food and great service. The noodle is made in a traditional way, the taste almost same as I have ate in Lanzhou.
Nice noodle! I tired the beef noodle, you can choose the thickness of the noodle, which is quite good. The soup and beef are tasty, good for student. It’s just the seatings are a bit high, a bit hard for me to climb up. Other than that, it’s quite good. I found my second hometown!

I love coming here so much! They literally only serve one main dish which is the noodles. You can choose however the thickness of you noodles which are all hand made !

Excellent noodle soup! Authentic as! Efficient service, great choice for northern Chinese, whose diet are primarily flour based. If you feel homesick stomach wise, this is the pace to head.

The taste is good and the noodles itself with different sides are awesome. But the disadvantage is the there is only little beef in the bowl and the side cold dish are just normal.

This is a great little noodle bar in Caulfield. They only have two types of noodle bowls though a hot and cold one.
I've only had the hot noodle bowls and it definitely doesn't disappoint. The broth is fresh and does come with a lot of garnish and natural favour. The only real criticism I have is that I wish it came with more meat. I do highly recommend coming here and it does tend to get quite busy.
