Their lunch special is very cheap and suitable for a student or a office worker, I love the deep-fried pork spare ribs and it’s a must-try.
Delicious and cheap. I eat here regularly. Reliable, little place frequented mainly by the Asian students the area. Casual not swanky. Curry laksa and char kway tiao are divine but have never been disappointed by any meal here and I’ve eaten here maybe 12 times by now. Service can be a bit slow as it juggles a take-away trade as well.
Favourite dumpling place in the area! staff are nice and quick service. Since moving to Melb I have tried different dumpling places but always end up coming back to Caulfield Chinese restaurant
Going with my friend twice here . Actually it's great taste and price here. Quite traditional Chinese food. The food is also quite enough for girl to eat.
I ordered the roast duck noodle soup and I thought it was quite good, given its price. It was definitely a big portion and I couldn't finish the noodles. However, the service wasn't up to the standard of the food. The waitress gave me another customer's unused napkin when I asked for one and I thought that was a bit strange.
Pretty good and relatively cheap Chinese restaurant near Monash Caulfield and opposite the Caulfield train station.
Delicious and quick Chinese set meals and they also serve a cheap but good grilled fish 烤鱼
I come to this restaurant a few times for quick dinner after class. The food is really nice, but just avoid when peak time, the food will taste different in busy time. I ordered fish fillet chilli oil and it's perfect dish for winter. The pork belly tastes good too.
Personally, I had a positive experience (seems to be the only one!). Simple Chinese and found it to be oily, but I find a lot of Chinese to be oily. Noodles had a lot of flavour and for the price went alright.
Caulfield Chinese is in Caulfield across the road from the station and a stone's throw away from Monash Caulfield campus. I was in Malvern for fit club and was hungry afterwards. I was going to head up to Box Hill by train but there was buses due to trackworks.I didn't want to have to wait ages just for one and then its full all the way. Nor did I want to have to trudge back into the city.So it was off to Caulfield we go as it is only one stop away. Upon exiting the station I saw that this place was busy with Asian students. The majority of them are Chinese who are enjoying a good meal here. All the other good places were closed on a Sunday.
Great combination Noodle soup.. There is only 2 places in South East Melbourne which makes great Combination Noodle Soup: this place, and Nudle Knox. Sometimes the quality degrades when the restaurant is REALLY busy, but at other times, its great
Everybody needs to try the salt and pepper chicken spare ribs!!!!!! I haven't come across anybody who hasn't liked it. It comes with the extra spicy option too. Service is alright I guess, can't really complain. I wouldn't try the other stuff on the menu though.. Maybe because I haven't tried it hahaha once you try the pepper salt chicken you wouldn't order anything else
Pork spare rib is a must try dish.I personally dont see anything wrong with their service.
Came here for a Groupon deal and the food did not disappoint! The service was really good too, it's just situated next to Caulfield station. Would recommend the peking duck also!
That was the nicest fried rice I have ever had. The banquet was amazing juicy duck and nice fresh vegetables.
The place is easily accessible off Caulfield Train Station and parking is easy with a nearby surface carpark as well as underground parking below the shopping centre (look out for Coles). Though it’s not a big place, it seems popular with the younger crowd perhaps university students. Food is tasty!
Really nice food. interesting location right on the train station opposite Caulfield Monash. Yummy peking duck too!
Got a voucher from Groupon and had the dinner last night. Though the place is not big, food is so yummy with enough portion for two. Super like the Peking duck. I could say it's better than some high class restaurants. And the deep fried banana is so tasty and crispy. Staff there are very friendly. What a little gem at train station.
The four course duck dinner was great from Groupon
Great lunch deal combos at $12.80 - a dish with a drink. I ordered the Spicy fish vermicelli and my friend ordered the Hainan Chicken. There's table service and the staff are generally quick with your orders. Food was reasonable, didn't taste too salty nor was it something to rave about. Given it's location and relatively quick service I'd recommend this for those who are time poor and want a decent meal.
