Visited this wonderful venue today for lunch without a booking for two. Greeted at the door! Rustic building full of charm (and heaters - bonus!). Between the entrees, mains and specials, there is an abundance of filling, wholesome meals to choose from. Do not eat breakfast before you go. We watched the other plates go by (some from the $15 special menu) and suffered some serious food envy along with amazement at the amount of food on the plates. Couldn't fault the taste of the food. Definitely going back; next time will be for their $35 high tea (two day prior notice required). Would love to see their summer menu too. If I was closer, it could easily become my regular. �
I would love to give this place a bad review so I can keep t to myself. We have been five times including Christmas dinner. Service is always just right as they say in the classics , the food has great tast and texture,squid tentacles, stuffed mushrooms , roasts, ribs, pasta and steaks are great. The wine particularly the merlot is damn good. When they fall short such as the time they were slow with the ribs because of demand, and when the rare steak was overdone and the chef refused to serve it, complimentary wine was provided as an an apology.
What a gorgeous little gem is this restaurant, we just had a lovely meal of Barramundi with lemon butter, it came with Potatoes and a great salad totally delicious. Our starter was a yummy tasty Bruschetta.The Old fig tree cocktail was so good , I ordered a second ,the ambiance , so cosy and alfresco under a conopy of fairy lights and in the background a guitarist playing some good sounds only to finsh with homemade Sticky fig pudding & Strawberry cheesecake (owner and his mother's recipe ) No more to add ... Congratulations we will be back �
Had lunch today and all I can say this little hidden gem is amazing. The staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions. The food was incredible great value and the servings left us full and unable to move lol. We will be back to enjoy this place again
Just finished having our work Christmas Dinner. What a lovely night. The function room was lovely for our 40 guests and the buffet meal was delicious. Thanks to the staff and chef for a great night.
Beautiful location. Great prices. Amazing food and value for money. Six of us girls went for a friend's birthday for Saturday lunch. The staff were great. Highly recommend The Old Fig Tree Restaurant to everyone 👍👍👍
Had lunch here today with a friend and it was amazing, great location and atmosphere! We both got the $15 lunch special of marinated chicken and chips with salad and it was beautifully presented, well-cooked and fresh. The chai latte was lovely and the dessert was absolutely awesome (think it was called crispy mint tart?). Service was wonderful, laid-back but friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be coming back soon, 5 stars! �

Had a very enjoyable dinner here on a Friday night. Was early so cant comment on the ambience but the staff was very friendly. I had the roast of the day which was very tasty. Highly recommend
Lovely place. Great service and the food was excellent. I had the $20 roast for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only criticism I have is the toilets. It is in the car park and shared by Ironbark Brewery and the restaurant. The condition of the facilities left a lot to be desired.
Couldn't fault the food or service at the restaurant and will be back, once the facilities have been upgraded.

I think the food was very expensive for what you get. I ordered pasta for the day and the porsion was very small. It tasted well, but nothing was done presentation wise.
We keep coming back .Very nice setting pleasant friendly staff and very nice food that is reasonably priced

Very nice setting and atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Scones were quite nice but a bit too crumbly and not as light as hoped for. Coffee was enjoyable. Nice cafe to relax at.
As soon as we take the turn to the driveway leading to The Old Fig Tree, I just knew I'd be in for a wholesome peaceful lunch treat. My family was equally delighted if not more. The quaint atmosphere, with breezy outdoor seating and sunlight sifting to the semi-outdoor seating with overhead vines was like a scene out of a rustic novel. The food has a warm soul and the portion sizes are filling. It very much shows that the seating, the atmosphere, the food, the service is all put together with a lot of love and warmth. Thank you Old Fig Tree. You will definitely see me around a lot!
Nice environment & scenery. Hard to fault with the services provided by the staffs. Attentive & always with a smile on their face.
Entrees are great tasting! The mains are just huge in portions! Quality is good but the quantity may be slightly more overwhelming.
We had 2 frappes which tasted a bit too milky which makes the actual main flavours (mango & caramel) a little underwhelming & the ice are not too evenly crushed which makes drinking with the straws that bit harder. Overall dining experience is great!
Just had an amazing lunch at The Old Fig Tree restaurant in Caversham. Brilliant gf choices and also understanding of separation of food for coeliacs. Fantastic value for money. Staff awesome. Ambience 5☆

OMG THIS PLACE WAS AMAZZZZING!!! The food was amazing the staff were amazing, the atmosphere was so romantic, even in the middle of a hot day.
Air-conditioned so it was cool inside, the light was dim and set for a romance... We ordered the lunch special grilled chicken veg with mash but swapped it out for sweet potato mash that was beautiful, had a very yummy sauce and staff were very accomadating with the change of mash followed by the sticky fig pudding ..... OMFG!! to die for would be an understatement... It was amazing, sweet no doubt, but it was a well matched sweetness to the fig... We are going back there for many more lunch dates, the pretty lady was more than impressed with our date, says a lot, you won't be sorry booking your next lunch here.
The food was great, ambiance was nice, especially outdoor seatings whereby you can unwind underneath vines shade while enjoying the meal. There is a small playground as well on the side of the restaurant for kids to play. A must stop place whenever touring around swan valley.
What a vibe! The food was sensational (though, I'd have liked the belly crispier), the restaurant full and was such a lovely afternoon. We did not have children and, although there is a lawn area, I'm not sure you'd be able to enjoy the feast, if you were having to stand close to the kids and road....
We went on a Saturday & had their specials. Hubby had the sirloin & I had the pasta. The shiraz jus with the steak & the white wine creamy pasta sauce was full of flavour. All the staff who attended to us were friendly. We will definitely return to try items on their permanent menu.
Love the outdoor setting although we did not sit outside as the weather was too hot. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was great
