The Wild Swan restaurant was beyond expectations for our wedding anniversary, waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful, decor lovely and food delicious. The chef even wrote Happy Anniversary on our desert plates. I am hard to please but will go back again for something special, prices prohibit regular visits, but will try the brewery next door.
Amazing 5star accomodation so beautiful staff amazing food great i think this is the best I’ve been too outside Perth will be back tracey baker
We visited the estate early February with a friend from South Africa and had a wonderful time talking and tasting wine. I bought 2 bottles of The Pact Shiraz 2014 and opened one tonight. It would have to be one of the best bottles of Shiraz I have tasted anywhere in the world. Well done to the winemaker.
Nice food ,great service despite it being very busy . Also had breakfast this morning and was lovely. Fast and friendly staff
Great spot to catch up with family and friends. Kids loved the playground and pizza and the roaming hot chip sales. A few more vegetarian options would be good.

Fabulous food served with best wines on offer in Sawn Valley is the main attraction from this restaurant. We spent the time having breakfast & lunch here, and the food and drinks definitely live up to standard.
A few months ago, we had the praises of the Mandoon Estate and its casual dining restaurant - the Homestead Brewery - sung to us, so we decided to make a day trip of it to the Swan Valley and check this place out. We got there around a funny time (about 2 pm, hoping to avoid the crowds), and boy was the place was packed. Even at 2 pm in the afternoon, there was a massive queue already formed outside the restaurant. There was even a large sign with a clock hand pointing to the number of minutes making up the estimated wait time.
The chips are to die for!! I was expecting Mandoon to be quiet for a Monday lunch but it was actually quite busy! Spot on service, yummy food, delicious wine, and nice views overlooking the vines!
I was a big fan of homestead brewery- it was busy but we were able to grab a spot on the deck which overlooks the vineyard. We got the tasting paddle - a good selection of brews and a selection of share plates including morcilla & prosciutto croquettes, buffalo chicken wings (order these!), homemade malt & beer bread and a Vincenzo pizza. All items went down a treat! 🍻🍕
Went for lunch and we were seated outside on one of the high tables. Service was really good with water served almost immediately followed by the beer we ordered. The duck pizza was great.
W and I enjoyed lunch here today. They couldn't seat us as soon as we got there, but texted within 10 minutes with a table ready. We shared the rich and grainy bread and butter, and the togarashi squid to start. Both were very nice. For mains, W had the pulled pork sliders with homestyle chips, which he enjoyed. I had the black bean burger with paprika chips and chipotle aioli. The bun was soft and sweet, the beany patty was well-textured and flavoured. The chips were good too. We finished with the praline, passionfruit and chocolate dessert - tasted nice but seemed a bit too small to be charging $16. Staff were very friendly and the place had a good atmosphere and was very busy.
A lunch date at 12pm on a Wednesday. Had a few customers already, by the time we left at 2pm the place was buzzing. Gorgeous view across the vineyard. Initially the customer service was great. But with the increase in customers, we got neglected a bit. Ordered a few tapas, delicious! For desserts we had to go to the counter to order. But otherwise. I'd go back again, I can see it being very busy on a weekend!
My cousin decided to take us for lunch and chose a beautiful sunny but very cold day to do so ! We set off not quite sure where we would stop and happened across the Mandoon winery and Homestead Brewery and so had lunch.. Being chilly it was full inside so had to sit outside - no heaters brrrrr - but the sun was shining, the staff were friendly & although service was a bit slow it wasn't sooo bad as to be a problem !! And we had nowhere else to be !! I had the fish and chips - delicious, my cousin had the fish pie with seasonal veg - pie was rich & good but seasonal veg were very chat grilled brocolli stems which weren't good and my hubby had the pizza which he finished without sharing !! We had coffee and sat catching up and really enjoyed it .. The only downside was buses waiting for their charges of hen parties and 21sts (there were at least 4) to stagger back and they idled in front of the restaurant dousing us in their exhaust fumes .. They should wait somewhere else perhaps ?!?
Enjoyed a nice long lazy lunch here with fast, friendly service ensuring our drinks were always topped up. I tried their cider and I loved it! Everyone enjoyed their food, the burger looked amazing.
I had the beer battered fish and chips which came up piping hot and crisp. The beer battered chips are amazing!
Tried the white chocolate mousse with blueberry and shortbread and lemon which was decent.
One of the best brewery/winery in Swan valley area. Homestead is part of the Mandoon winery. Love the ambience and the food. Service is brilliant. It is a great place to have nice long lazy lunches.

Off to the Valley for lunch last week we dropped in to one of our favourite casual eating houses – Homestead Brewery at Mandoon Estate. It was a pleasant sunny day and the place was crowded inside and out on the decking looking over the vines. We managed a table by the open doors so got the best of both worlds.
Mandoon was once a small family run estate, which expanded in September 2014 to a huge multi venue spot – just what I’d been wishing for!
It has a cellar door, function centre, fine dining restaurant and the excellent Homestead Brewery, with a massive beer garden for lazy afternoons!
I had a great lunch at homestead brewery with friends. This place was packed out on a Sunday but the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming.
Food was great- ordered the fish and chips which was flavourful but slightly oily. Others on my table enjoyed their meals. I had a taste of the sirloin steak and onion rings, delicious but slightly undercooked for medium rare.
I appreciated the wonderful and attentive staff who made an effort to check on us regularly.
Had missed out on some events held here before so I've been waiting on an opportunity to come try things out.
We ordered the beer tasting paddle and I had mussels. Everything was beautiful. Staff are attentive and patient, really easy to talk to.
Will definitely be back for more!
The Mandoon Estate is absolutely stunning. It was my first time coming here and we haven't even seen half of it! The homestead was lovely with an excellent panoramic of the vineyard. 🌿 There was an acoustic singer playing in the background - perfect volume and great sound! I was impressed with the beer and wine selection - something for each taste bud. We had a tasting paddle and loved all the brewski's, can't wait to try the wine next time. 🍻 The food was all yummy! Only thing I would question is the veges served with the scotch fillet, but hubby loved it. I look forward to returning. 😄
Wow! 5/5 for service! On a scorcher of a day too. And 5/5 for the chips! Lots to choose from in the extensive menu. We had chips, a Margherita pizza, a prosciutto pizza and pulled pork sliders, all very yummy. The prosciutto pizza could have done with a bit more goats cheese. And maybe some kind of sauce in the sliders, they were a teeny bit dry. Will definitely be back.
Friends & I went to the Homestead Brewery for Breakfast, the food was beautifully cooked & well presented, the Staff were delightful. This visit showed a big improvement on my last visit.

Lady FWO, after swanning around Melbourne in the past week was looking for a relaxed change of pace, so on Monday we went out to Mandoon’s Homestead Brewery for a light lunch and drink to take in the sunny, warm weather. As I have probably said before, the brewery is in a great location, part of Mandoon Estate with its excellent restaurant and wine tasting facilities, looking out across the vines, and with the added benefit of the amazing grounds – rolling lawns, playgrounds, beer garden, outdoor settings, deli and outside bar, it has everything you could wish for on a trip to the Valley. The brewery area itself scrubs up well – polished concrete floors, comfortable chairs, lounge area, a long easily accessible bar, and a fine veranda to sit out and catch the breeze.
Went here on a Friday night. It was great! Live music, nice food and good service. They also split bill which good for larger groups. Would come back.
Wow what a venue. Took my.... Wow what a venue.
Took my mum for lunch today and it was simply amazing, lovely venue, terrific friendly staff and amazing wine and food.
I had the roast beef mum the scotch fillet. The roast beef was a superb dish the beef was melt in your mouth stuff served on the most incredible potato mash, so delicious.
The scotch was cooked perfectly and really satisfied. All in all full compliments to the chef, a first class experience all round.
Highly recommend

Food was great. Good choices on the menu. Beers are great, I got the tasting selection. We went on a busy day and trying to find a table was hard, and the door staff weren't very helpful, they just left us wandering.
We went to the beer garden for lunch today and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was family friendly and there was plenty of space. The pizzas were yummy although $24 was a bit pricey. The roast rolls were not bad but more gravy sauce was needed as it was a bit dry. It comes with a salad which was basically a few miserable leaves. I thought the grounds were beautiful but the experience would've been even better if the rolls were tastier and not so stingey on salad. Beers were good.
Just Awesome. Went to the homestead brewery last weekend with a few friends and we loved it. It was very busy and I can understand why. The Swan Valley has needed something like this and it doesn't disappoint. Great food, the octpus and the beef and black Swan pie are to die for. The beer is incredible, the other Swan Valley breweries should be worried about their competition, not only is the beer better than most, but the venue it is in is beautiful. And surprisingly the coffee was awesome. Didn't expect it going to a big venue like this, but they use typika coffee and no expense has been spared to get the best to the customers. The staff were friendly, lovely girl at the front door was full of information and helped us understand the venue and how everything worked, the bar staff were great and friendly (as well as the barista who answered any questions we had about the beer and wine even though he was very busy) and the wait staff delivered everything with a smile.
Highly recommended to anyone, familys, couple, doesn't matter there is something for everyone. Management should be proud of there staff and what has been achieved. Hope it stays this great after the "new venue" hype has died down. We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous premises. About time Perth has a great brewery in the Swan Valley. Drink selection good. Only feedback is food a little average. Second time to eat and think could improve. Pulled pork tacos lacked taste and may have been better presented in soft taco roll instead. Will definitely be going back for a drink.
Excellent location, ok food. Such a nice location for a group of mates or even a family with small kids. And we will definitely be coming back, however the food needs to improve for sure. It is just OK. If you were judging this place purely based on its food it wouldn't survive amongst the ever evolving foodie culture of Perth.
Charcuterie Plate. Selection of cured meats, sourdough, oritz anchovies, cornichons and caperberries.
It was a really lovely selection and tasted great. Although needed just a few more slices of sourdough. But thumbs up all the same.
What a beautiful place. Love it. Coffee from Typika so nice to have local roast. Everything about this place is really beautifully done I wish these people all the very best this is such a good thing for WA and Perth. Fine tuning with a few things as time he's on and this will be the best in the valley.
Really impressed by our visit today, staff were very helpful and food came out fast. They're still getting on their feet (have only been opened 3 weeks) but we really loved the experience! Beer and food was delicious. The view from the brewery is beautiful as well. Highly recommend.
Such a beautiful venue, so grand and impressive.
Breakfast was delicious, only criticism is that they won't make scrambled eggs...slightly random if you ask me.
Look forward to giving this place a try for lunch on a cold day with the fireplace blazing
Great atmosphere, good service and excellent food. Loved the triple cooked chips. Will be back for sure!

Returning to Mandoon on a Wednesday (after visiting the restaurant on their first day – Monday), this time we decided to try the brewery – first stopping at the cellar door for a wine tasting. Sitting on the verandah at a high bench we had a view across the vines back towards the original cellar door – now just the winery – and also across to the adjacent Sandalford vineyards. We had struck a beautiful Perth spring day, with the temperature in the mid to high 20s. The Homestead Brewery has 4 beers on tap at present, (with plans for more as well as a cider and a perry – which should be flowing in a month or so) – No.1 Belgian Pale Ale, Thunderbird Pale Ale, Black Swan IPA and Kaiser’s Choice Hefeweizen. As well there is the full range of the estate wines by the bottle and glass, and various spirits and soft drinks available. The menu ranges from bar snacks – nuts, olives and the like – through shared plates which include bacala and grilled polenta; grilled octopus with kipler and padron peppers; and wort marinated pork ribs with corn bread; to other dishes such as a grilled chicken salad and a Wagyu burger and then to larger dishes such as Belgian wheat beer mussels, pulled pork tacos with apple and fennel slaw, and beer battered fish and chips. Desserts included white chocolate and strawberry fondant and a hop bavarois with pistachio tuile and lime syrup. They also have a pizza menu which includes focaccia al stracchino; prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella; confit lamb, with red onion and feta; and pear, gorgonzola and rocket. On this day we ordered the triple cooked chips, the grilled octopus and wort marinated pork ribs, and followed up with the hop bavarois. The grilled octopus was very tender, well seasoned and accompanied by slices of kipler potato and peppers. It presented and was cooked extremely well. The pork ribs were melt in the mouth, unctuous from marinating in the wort from the brewing process, accompanied by a
We visited Homestead Brewery on the very first weekend they opened. It was a lovely warm day and we were greeted by a friendly staff member who gave us a quick run down of the Menu. We started by having small tastings of the 4 Beers they had on tap. I chose to drink the Thunderbird IPA which went down very nice and didn't leave that heavy feeling in my stomach that I usually find with craft beers. We took a seat on the veranda in the beautiful sun over looking the newly sprouting green vines whilst looking over the menu. The menu is great, you can order some tapas and cheese platters to share with friends over a few drinks. Light and main meals are also available, kids meals and a pizza menu where the wood-fired pizzas are made using house-made dough. Out the back they have a new, fully fenced playground with soft-fall and shade sails. The grassed area is huge, it has heaps of bench tables, is shady and is a great place to being a picnic rug and sit under the trees or in the sun. T

The Homestead Brewery and Mandoon Estate Restaurant are a very welcome addition to the Swan Valley. They offer the sophisticated vibe that the South-West wineries achieve so well. The big, big plus point for families is that it has a well equipped, fenced and gated playground which is covered by shade sails. The Homestead Brewery offers a chilled out vibe with bar tables on the verandah overlooking the peaceful vineyard. In the centre of the bar area is a huge open fireplace surrounded by comfy couches – perfect for a winter’s day. The menu is varied and well priced. They are open on weekends from 7.30am for breakfast. When we visited on the second day of opening there was no kids menu available as the chef was still in the process of putting it together. The kids were given an activity pack while we waited for our meals. The majority of mains are priced below $30. We ordered Pulled
I was trying to hold off visiting the new and improved Mandoon property for a few weeks, but the sun was shining this past Saturday and it was just the perfect day for a nice cold beer or glass of vino in the sun. It didn’t take much convincing for Mr. Spittoon and I to head out there! I have visited Mandoon Estate a few times since living in Perth and have always been fond of their Verdelho and Cab Merlot plus the lovely Irish lady who was always on the cellar door was an absolute pleasure to chat to. Over the past 12 months or so, Mandoon has undergone a MASSIVE makeover and upgrade. Their cellar door which originally opened in 2011 backed onto the working winery, which I loved but they decided to step up their game and are definitely now a major contender for the bigger wineries out in the Swan Valley since opening their new doors on monday 15th September 2014. With the new Homestead microbrewery, the new cellar door, the a la carte fine d
We opted to sit “out the back” in the shady beer garden. There are loads of picnic benches and its right next to the shaded playground – which was a big hit with Little Chef. There were a few soccer and crickets games being played on the expansive, lush lawns. It had a lovely family atmosphere.
You've gotta love a good dose of pub food after a day of sampling far too many wines. Mandoon Estate really captures the essence of the Swan Valley, a haven for families to retreat, where kids can be kids and where honest, wholesome local produce grows strong. Beef and black swan pie with steamed buttery vegetables Pizza, prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, basil, San Marzano's
Homestead Brewery is the new kid on the block, and is by far the most visually impressive of the Swan Valley breweries. Built as part of Mandoon Estate winery, no expense has been spared with the large, family friendly space containing high ceilings, sleek, modern finishes, and lots of shiny new German-manufactured Schulz brewing equipment in plain sight.
Living in Ellenbrook, we have a large choice of restaurants (and of course wineries!) nearby in the Swan Valley, however it’s surprisingly hard to find a decent breakfast. So many of the winery restaurants don’t open until late on a Sunday morning, and most of those that do open tend to cater to the tourist market with overpriced, pedestrian fare. Today we took a trip to the new Homestead Brewery in the Mandoon Estate in Caversham (just off Reid Highway) to see if they do things any differently. As soon as you enter the estate, it’s clear that this is somewhere special. Access is easy and there’s plenty of parking – not something to take for granted these days. The service was prompt and very friendly, and it was good to see a decent amount of staff early in the morning. I was expecting the coffee to be ordinary, but my cappuccino was just the right strength and very drinkable. The breakfast menu is relatively small but all of the meals are interesting and there should be something to please everyone. Items include house made granola with Swan Valley honey & Greek yoghurt ($11), Corned beef hash with fried eggs ($19), fried duck egg with sauteed mushrooms & brioche ($19) and baked eggs with chorizo ($17). I chose the buttermilk pancakes with Canadian maple syrup and crispy bacon ($16). No complaints here – the pancakes were light and fluffy, the generous serving of bacon was crispy as advertised and the maple syrup was real. Renay chose the toasted sourdough with feta, avocado & slow roasted tomatoes. This was a huge serving, made with top quality ingredients including super-creamy feta that reminds you how bad most of the stuff you buy in the supermarket is. So how much was this dish? A quite amazing $12. Where else in Perth can you get breakfast this good at such a low price?
