I had a lovely lunch there with my brother Perry. He had Chicken Schnitzel & Chips & Gravy. I had a delicious grilled chicken burger on Turkish bread. The service and food was excellent. Perry goes there most Wednesdays foe lunch and always enjoys it
Used to go regularly but lately had a bad experience. Told rudely we should have booked but as it happened we were only ones there in a room that would fit at least 100. Someone came in with a group and asked chef what time dinner was - he walked away from the man ignoring him . Stood for ages waiti

Amazing pub feed for the family. Chicken Schnitzel bloody amazing. Good prices. The staff are always super friendly. Great local pub. šŸ‘
Ordered a medium well steak, and it was absolutely oozing, I understand this is acceptable if I ordered it like this, but I deliberately asked for it medium well because I always get places undercooking their steaks and normally I have medium rare. This was inedible for me.. I'll be keeping to the A
Iā€™m with my social group tonight for dinner, really good service - we even preordered our meals online, so it was already there when we arrived!
Good place for a rest. Be mindful that no dinner on Monday night. Would recommend stay in Cessnock CBD which is more convenient.
Loved the food and service. Sad to see this historic pub looking so run down though.
