This has got to be my favourite lunch place. I have always found the food wonderful and the staff wonderfully attentive. After my food has been delivered to me they always check back in to make sure that everything is ok.
First time there and we loved everything, food, the place and the staff. All wonderful. Thank you.
Great food & drinks, and lovely, polite & helpful staff.
My husband and I wondered into this little gem on the weekend and it was such a highlight!
The interiors were really cool and made you feel like you were actually in Japan.
The food was glad to say the best part. We had the octopus balls, Japanese pancake, beef steak, gyoza, mushrooms and school prawns and all of it was just delicious.
Id also like to mention that the staff are so polite and attentive. They explained the menus and were so lovely.
My new favourite restaurant in Chadstone! We will be back.
Visit all the time and even had my birthday here. Staff are always very friendly and helpful and food is great.
Extremely disappointed as ordered cocktail and it had two dead flies at the bottom of the glass. Asked far a new drink and he said oh I will make another one. When it came to pay I commented that we should pay half but they said 5 percent. Don't bother as we won't be back and would question their cleanliness!! NEVER AGAIN
Dishes served in a timely manner. Great variety of choices. Very friendly and attentive staff that provides helpful recommendations instead of just order taking.
The food was beautiful hot and tasty will definitely go back again...
Have been here a few times now. Amazing food and service every time
Amazing food loved so yummy and service friendly
Well seasoned food but did not have everything on the menu available. Very clean and welcoming environment but the outside heater was not warm when sitting slightly futher away.
A place great for the family. Prices are great with $6.80 dishes, meant the kids could eat at a very affordable price. Quality is great. Will be back again and again!
The tastiest Japanese tapas I've ever had! We come back each time trying something new. My favourites so far would have to be the Tori No Karaage, Cheesy Fries and the Mixed Berry Sangria!
Can't wait to come back again and try something new!
We recently had a dinner at Gyoza Gyoza in Chadstone. We were very impressed with the service as well as all food we ordered . We will be definitely coming back on more occasions! Thank you very much for an amazing service and delicious food.
Every time I have been here the food has been exceptional. The staff are quick, friendly, and efficient. We always look forward to our next visit and like to bring friend with us.
The place was quiet and service was very quick. The serving size was quite small so you have to order multiple dishes. The food was nice - enjoyed the yakisoba and ice coffee drink. The lotus chips was crispy. Came here with Liven 40% offer but don't think we'd pay full price (dishes ranging between $6.8-15). Overall good experience. Bonus: you get a free parfait after posting a review. Delicious and worth it.
Pretty great place to eat at if you happen to be by Chadstone. The menu is very affordable with most menu items being priced at $6.80 to $8. I highly recommend the fried octopus tentacles, the fried quail, grilled beef tongue, fried Ebi karaage, and beef tartar. They are all delicious, you'll prob need 6 dishes or so for 2 people to be full and 8 to 9 for 3 people. Overall, not bad for the pricing.
Had always walked past this place but never really give it a try. I must say this place is not bad for Gyoza and Izakaya style food. It’s probably not authentic Japanese but the food taste pretty good. I love their dessert selection and ample seating for groups.
Menu ordered: Cold Soba, Agedashi Tofu, Gyoza Mince Pork Garlic, Yakisoba Chicken, Pumpkin Koroke. Happy Tummy.
I enjoyed my meal here with everything of high quality. Loved the salmon sashimi and beef tataki. The day I went it was quite hot and not sure if they have air con or not but it was really stuffy and hot inside. Really unpleasant to eat in hot conditions. Other than that it was enjoyable. Will be back for food. Staff friendliness could be improved too.
Came here for some lunch after doing some shopping. Food was cooked perfectly, everything was seasoned well. Prompt service and friendly smiles. Highly recommended.
Similar to my experience at their CBD location, I found the atmosphere and hospitality here to be akin to that I experienced in Japan at traditional izakays bars.
The cocktail jugs are excellent value and while sweet, there's a good kick to them. For the food, the highlights were the pork gyoza, edamame and sashimi.
beautifully presented food and a good variety of things. affordable. we had a mistake in our order but the staff handled it very politely and were friendly and efficient. the drinks were lovely too
I came here with some girlfriends on Sunday for lunch and had a wonderful time! Not only was the service spot on, but all our dishes looked picture perfect and the cocktail jugs were just delicious (so cheap too!) I had the cheesy gyoza and it was unreal, will definitely be back
I was really impressed with the service at this restaurant. It was friendly, fast and efficient. The food was fresh, especially the beef yukke salad.
Would certainly recommend this for a Japanese dinner or lunch especially with the wide range of sake they have available. The food and ambiance is very Japan like.
Great job on an amazing restaurant and great dining experience.
Elegant little store just before the entrance of Chadstone fashion capital. Upon entry the store it nicely lit with spotlights at the seating area. The menu is filled with oriental meals based on japanese cusines. Quick and fast service. Very well mannered staff who were helpful at answering questions and knowledgeable with the menu and suggestion. Please view photos attached. Portions were large and definitely good for sharing. Overall great experience. Food tasted lovely and authentic.
The Salmon Sashimi is really fresh and tasty, and that is the reason why I have order two sets; the soft shell crab salad is amazing as the combination of the crab and sauce was perfectly matched; we also have sensational experience with Tori Karaage and fried Chicken wings; finally our main danish were hot udon and fried rich, they were both delicious. To sum up, I highly recommend this Japanese Gypsy bar to your guys!!!
Tried out this place today as it was absolutely hot day outside. The service was amazing and the staff explained the Zomato gold with great detail. Ordered the wagyu steak, pork belly, noodles and the pan fried gyoza and they were absolutely flavoursome and tasty. Will recommend people to come and try this place out :)
Really good food and well priced. Came here for dinner with a few friends and everything was perfect. Had a few Japanese cocktails and food was cooked well and was also well presented. Really enjoyed!
Been to this restaurant many times over the last few years. Widecselectio of food & drinks. My favourite dish here is the cheesy scallops. The wafu steak is one of more popular dishes on the menu that most people order, although the sauce is very nice, the meat is a bit bland.
Anyone who likes cheese should definitely go for the cheesy chicken kaarage and Okonomiyaki! The spicy chicken salad is also pretty good and the seasoning is balanced well. Very convenient location for hungry shoppers in Chadstone.
Food and drinks are pretty decent however it’s quite stuffed since there’s no air con inside 🥵🥵🥵 Not gonna be back anymore until winter
环境很不错,服务也很不错,音乐也是喜欢的,吃的也很棒,份量不大但是让人可以有不同的选择。很喜欢的地方,会和朋友多多来的。
The chicken skewers are awesome, the mini burgers are nice. With a free ice cream, I Will come back next time.
I enjoyed my session with a 1L jug of Orion beer and a few snacking plates.
The beer was refreshing, but didn't hold its effervescence and the head quickly dissipated. It's probably better to have it straight in a glass, so you avoid the double pour.
The chicken kaarage was a perfect accompaniment to the beer - it come out hot, fresh and crisp. It was well marinated and came with a dollop of mayo.
Pork and garlic gyoza wasn't too bad either, pan fried on one side and still a little juicy in the middle.
Edamame was seasoned with coarse salt and is a traditional snacking plate.
So this is what the 4 stars is for. I wouldn't come here specifically for a dinner but for these chillout drinking sessions it's not bad. It's exactly what I expect from an izakaya.
Love their Soft Shell Crab Mini Burger. It isn’t as mini as thought. The burger was soft and the crab is very crispy. Today tried Ebi Karage, it is surprising nice. Amazing staffs that give good recommendation!
I went here with my family and really enjoyed the food! I ordered a serve of the udon noodles, salmon salad and for my beverage I had an iced matcha tea. The quality of the food was esquisite, and did not disappoint! However the portions were too small for its price.
Good food. Good place for huge crowds. Service is efficient and friendly.
Nice food, nice music and friendly staff - can't ask for much more than that really. Would recommend
Went to this restaurant for the first time. Joe welcomed us and helped us in choosing the correct order. We ordered for cheese chicken karage, Yakisoba noodles and lemon mojito. Trust me, the food is mind blowing. Mocktails look so tempting in the menu that you feel like having it. They are amazing too. Should definitely give it a go. Worth the price.
The staff was polite, friendly and we were made to feel like a valued customer. Because we were allocated a seat near the main entrance, the thoughtful staff closed the door to ensure we were kept warm and comfortable throughout the dining. It was in general a pleasant dining experience and we will definitely come back for another round.
The food was amazing . The pork and cabbage gyoza is a must try. The salmon tartare with lotus chips has an amazing texture and taste to it . Definitely coming back next time !
Ordered 5 dishes to try today, nothing is disappointing. Calamari burger is simple yet delicious, nth is overwhelming, lotus chips is amazing with the salmon tatare, gyoza is genuine, steak is alright, but nothing special about it, for the price is fine. Yukke is great, it doesn't taste raw as I expected, special dish u should try out. Recommend the lotus chip and burger the most. Might need 2 dishes for a person portion, but it's great, u get to try more dishes when they make the portion smaller. Ended our meal with parfait, both matcha and roasted tea ice cream are great, intense flavour with minimal sweetness. (Whisper: it's better than calia which costs more and need to wait for 2 hrs before u get a table)
Went here to try out their Teriyaki Chicken Bento and seriously it was so good for its value! Nice and filling meal for less than $10. So worth it!
We also couldn’t stop ourselves from ordering other dishes too, so we got:
- Salmon tartare with lotus chips
- Tuna tataki
- Cheesy gyoza
- Cheesy corn
- Yukke (raw beef with quail egg)
- Yaki hotate (scallops)
Along with 2 beverages:
- Iced uji green tea with yuzu sorbet
- Cotton candy iced matcha with mixed matcha x hojicha soft serve
Everything looks and tastes delicious, the cheesy gyoza and corn were cheesy just like its name, the yukke was well dressed/marinated, the sauce on the tuna tataki was so yummy and the Iced uji green tea with yuzu was so refreshing.
Highly recommend this place to everyone and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
I really like the Wafu steak and the yukke salad. They taste really good! I love the ambience and vibes of the restaurant. The service was fast and excellent!
A Japanese restaurant that is trying to be a bit fancy.
The atmosphere and interior are nice and modern, many quite big. We've had sashimi, nigiri, and ramen. All the dishes were delicious and freshly made. Service was a bit slow.
For the price tho I expected something more extraordinary but the food wasn't any better than other sushi joints etc..
Overall a good restaurant that is a little overpriced.
Always satisfied with the food here 🙂 Fried rice was a bit salty but salmon tartare was amazing! highly recommend the salmon dish! like small portion of dishes which are reasonably priced
Good place and good food. Enjoyed all the gyozas. The soba noodles and the miso soup was perfect for the winter evening.
The shared/tapas plates are extensive, and karaage dishes (deep fried) are impressive - good to go with beer. There’s a good variety of drinks, and happy hour prices are cheap too.
My friend brought me here. The beef salad was as fresh as ever, and the other dishes kept me fresh. Very affordable. Lamb chops are a specialty, and my friends like the combination of grilled and Fried. The fly in the ointment is that some portions are a bit small. Like pork. All in all, this store is the one I would recommend to my friends.
The food here was really nice! Ordered the tempura but they gave us the wrong dish, so they ended up giving it for free which was so nice of them:)) The price was pretty affordable too. Would recommend going there for a light meal.
The food came really fast and was good. The waiters were really friendly and attentive too. The price is reasonable and the portions were just right. Really liked the fried rice and gyoza
Very nice Place with great staff and food. Would recommend to friends and family as can cater to small to large groups, including babies.
Always lovely food. We keep coming back.
Yum yum yum! Super friendly service and they work so efficiently!! Everything is teeny tiny and we love them so much! We had a great time dining here, will come again.
Went for lunch with the mrs, ordered ox tongue, cheesy karaage, oysters, surf clam, soft shell crab salad, yakitori and green tea with rose lychee soft serve. Ox tongue was soft and delicious, the cheesy karaage was really nice, actually liked it with cheese, surf clams were ok, oysters were quite small but nice, soft shell crab salad was the stand out of all the dishes, yakitori was very nice but again small and the green tea with soft serve tasted ok, should have gotten the soft serve on a cone. Overall food was great, service was excellent however was a bit pricey
Excellent Japanese gyoza, lotus chips, sashimi, popcorn chicken, etc. Too many to name. Really love this place a lot. The Japanese style parka it is yummy. A good value restaurant!
The Pan-fried gyoza with the fried rice was delicious. Good place to have dinner on a cold evening. The staff were friendly and helpful.Perfect place to have our gyoza cravings fulfilled.
Just popped in here for lunch. The menu was extensive and the food delicious. Our favourite were the gobo karaage and the chicken yakitori. The staff and the service was outstanding, very polite and friendly. If you like garlic, try the fried rice!
Great ambience. Clean and cozy place. Staff are very polite and lovely. And the food was wonderful. Really had a fantastic time. Thank you all!
We ordered a selection of gyozas, including the cheesy gyozas which are a must. We got beef for the cheesy gyozas and my pick of the other flavours was chicken and lemongrass. The Wafu steak is delicious too! The staff here are lovely, so helpful and amazing service. One of our favourites so we will definitely be back.
We ordered the tori no karaage, wafu steak and the yakitori skewers and the teriyaki chicken. They were all fantastic, the wafu steak was cooked to perfection and paired with the sauces - it was so juicy, tender and full of flavour. The tori no karaage is a must try, just be sure to squeeze some lemon juice onto it and have it with some cabbage. The yakitori skewers are also a must-try. The staff were kind and patient. Definitely planning on coming here again!
Very nice and cozy restaurant, love the food yummy and nice very good value of money. Great service and nice friendly staff. We tried a variety of dishes. Beef tongue, cheesy okonomiya, grilled corn, octopus ball sooooo yummy. 👌Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food and at affordable prices. Will be back.“ “What a lovely restaurant, good and service and atmosphere, definitely hope to go back. The goyza were YUMMY!!!“ traditional janapanese food so local favour good @ a good price. Size good for kid my baby ate a lot haha so good 😊 ✌️
After such a successful and delicious meal at the gyoza gyoza in Emporium, we thought it only made sense to see if Chaddy’s one was just as good, if not better. We loved how Gyoza Gyoza’s menu had pictures of every dish, and given that each plate was $6.80, this made it so much easier and quicker to decide.
Some of our favourites included the pumpkin croquette with their tasty katsu sauce, the crab claws which were hot and crispy, as well as their grilled steak with wafu sauce. The steak was tender and flavourful, and well worth the $6.80. Although it looks small in the photo, we managed to slice quite a few pieces out of it, which went very well with the rice we ordered too.
Wednesday nights have house wine for 6.80. We ordered the teriyaki chicken, chicken and lemongrass gyoza and wagyu beef and red onion gyoza. The fillings in the gyoza were delicious and we were very satisfied.
Come to chadstone gyoza gyoza, this place is really good and the environment is really good for no matter launch or dinner, with yourself or with friends. The food here is good and in a traditional Japanese style, such as the taste of its gyoza and especially the ice cream ! Really need to come here and try the food ! This restaurant is top of my restaurant list for every day dinner choice!
Nice place for quick cheap eats. Family friendly environment with friendly staff and fast service 👍 would recommend! The dessert choice is pretty diverse for a fast-food joint, for gyoza - grab the pork/garlic.
Gyoza gyoza is situated close to the bus stop in chadstone. The atmosphere was relaxing with some hip hop music. Food was made fresh so you’ll need to spare some time to wait for the service. The iced coffee was served in a beer mug, which was cute and fun. I also tried the char grilled rice ball today and it tasted great with some miso on top. My friend and I have been here a few times and their performance has been quite consistent. I will recommend you to come and try some contemporary Japanese dishes.
Gyoza Gyoza is a popular Japanese restaurant with various locations throughout Melbourne. They serve quality Japanese tapas-style food at a very affordable price! We were kindly invited to the Chadstone venue and we were extremely impressed with the whole experience!
Gyoza Gyoza’s menu is extensive - with so many dishes to choose from, there’ll always be something for everyone. Most dishes are only $6.8, which to me is a hell of a deal! Since each dish isn’t too big, you can try a large variety of different items, which I love!
We had a huge variety of dishes to share, including:
Salmon Tataki Salad - a very refreshing and light dish. The salmon was seared slightly and drizzled with lime mayo and salmon roe, adding a lovely creaminess. The salad was dressed in a delightfully sweet yuzu honey dressing.
Beef Tataki Salad - absolutely loved the flavours of the sesame sauce. Sweet and tangy, and the beef was very tender and soft.
Pumpkin Croquette - super crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy within. Served with creamy kewpie mayo, you honestly can’t go wrong with this!
Takoyaki - a Japanese tapas staple! Fried balls of goodness with a crispy outside and a creamy inside. Always a good choice!
Tori No Karaage with Mustard Miso - the chicken was very tender and juicy, and the batter was crispy. The mustard miso was delightfully sweet and tangy, and the almond chips gave a nice little crunch. Absolutely loved this dish!
Whitebait Karaage - this was so addictive! The whitebait is extremely crispy, and it’s served with wasabi mayo which makes it even better!
Cheesy Okonomiyaki - this is okonomiyaki on a next level! It’s served in a hot saucepan and covered with melted cheese and sauce. The cheese goes so well with the okonomiyaki and it’s the perfect combo.
Yakitori - an Izakaya classic. The chicken was very tender and the sauce was plentiful, sweet and savoury.
Yaki Hotate - the scallops were baked in a delicious creamy miso sauce. Very hearty, and perfect for a cold day.
Cheesy Gyoza (filling: Wagyu Beef and Red Onion) - a very interesting Asian-Western fusion dish! It almost feels like flavours of a cheeseburger, with beef and cheese and onion, and it’s surprisingly really good!
Red Bean Sweet Gyoza - such an interesting concept that works really well! The red bean filling isn’t too sweet and works nicely with the crispy gyoza skin. The perfect way to finish a Japanese feast!
Finally, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and made us feel very welcome. The service was very quick and efficient too.
I would highly recommend checking out Gyoza Gyoza in Chadstone!
Thank you so much for having us!
I came in for lunch with a friend, the staffs were very friendly and greeted us with a smile. We ordered lamb ribs, zaru soba and wagyu beef gyoza. All were amazing with very reasonable price! Would love to come back to try its other menu
This is my first time coming to gyoza gyoza, however when I look at the menu it is the same menu I have ordered food from from another restaurant I went in Chinatown called Momo. Their dishes were very fresh, and quick to be delivered on the table. We have ordered a bunch of small dishes and grilled ox tongue was really tender and great with bit of salt and lemon. Agedashi tofu was soooo good, crispy outside soft inside with a very delicious soup. Yukke beef salad was smooth and fresh with delicious soy dressing. Everything was very good, highly recommend!
Service is very on point. Our favourite dishes if you’d like to experiment was the salmon tartare, Wagyu Gyoza and the tilapia with yuzu dressing.
Gyoza Gyoza doesn’t disappoint! Located just outside Chadstone shopping centre I often pop in after some shopping to get a nice Japanese meal.
I’ve been to Japan and can compare the food, it’s really good but some of the dishes are a fusion. Still awesome food and can’t be beat! Give it a try.
It’s a very nice Japanese restaurant located just at the entry of Chadstone-The fashion capital. They have a big menu covering a wide of traditional Japanese dishes, more importantly with very reasonable prices. You can enjoy the good food without spending too much. They specialize in gyoza as its name. They have steamed, fried with all kinds of filling options and sauce. If you are a dumpling person, this restaurant is a must try. I also recommend the green tea product here as well especially the ice creams, it is not that sweet so u don’t need to worry too much about the calories.
Nice place ! Good food . Some portion inconsistent between outlets but overall good in service.lots of varieties . Location is convenient and plenty of room.
First time visiting. Location very convenient! Customer service is friendly and the food is quite nice, the crab salad is good. Will come back again.
Amazing place with good pork dumplings. Very impressed with the hot soba and chicken anf lemon grass dumplings. Spicy pork belly was a little on the sweeter side but nicely cooked.
We’ve ordered the agedashi Toufu, Karage chicken with mustard sauce, kimono hoiru yak, begins korokke and cheesy okonomiyaki. I love the karage chicken with mustard sauce most other are very tasty as well. Gyoza Gyoza got a good variety of food and also drinks for you. A nice choice for afternoon tea. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining environment is comfy and you can definitely feel a hint of Japanese culture! Highly recommended! :)
The food was very oishi 😊 and the service was good although there were a few misorders. Anyway it is a place we will come back often. The place is good for small meals and good drinks!
Gyoza gyoza was a lovely restaurant, we had a lovely experience. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Food was delicious and a delight to eat! I will definetly a treat. Would 100% come again. Much thanks
Best japanese food for taste and value. Delicious fried veggies, poultry, red meat and seafood. Have been here multiple times and will always keep coming back thank you!
Went with friends for dinner, last minute decision with no booking, so had to wait... but didn’t mind it, as the staff were very friendly and attentive... offered to set us up for drinks first and then move us when a table inside becomes available... will definitely be back! 😊
Our second time visiting the restaurant. It is hard to find a good restaurant in chadstone. But this one is pretty good. We went there on a Saturday noon . We waited for about 10 minutes before seated. I really like pork belly. It is juicy and tender. Gyoza is good as well. My mum likes undon and the soup is little bit salty and tastes well.
The best Japanese restaurant in Chadstone shopping center.
Totally recommend to guys to come coz the dish price is so cheap starting about 6 dollars. U can enjoy many dishes at the same time. Additionally, the dishes come very fast only 6 minutes when the first dish is served. The staffs are so nice and polite.
Come here enjoy good food ^^
I love this restaurant can with the cheap price to try different kind of food. The food also yummy that make me want to come again and again. I very recommend the fire oyster, taste outside crispy and inside softy.
Great Saturday experience! Crunchy popcorn chicken with brilliant sauce. Edamame beans on point and great customer service! The wafu steak was very nice and tender & it was accompanied by a very nice dark sweet sauce.
Service was friendly and the food came out very quickly to feed a table of 8. The salads were refreshing, beef ribs were nicely charred and yummy. I would recommend the cheesy scallops, takoyaki and crab claw. Will definitely return.
