Review Cafe Sapore Chadstone - Chadstone

Located in Chadstone Shopping Centre near Daiso. Had the Big Breakfast and coffee. Food was very tasty and good. The 2 managers, Kim and Kein, were very attentive and capable. Place clean and airy. Will come again.

Reliable, fresh, fairly priced and tasteful meals. Elvis the past owner was a character, and nicely the new owners have maintained the quick and pleasant service. Only draw back is you are sitting in a walk way in a shopping centre, but if you don’t mind that definitely it’s a great alternative to a fast food court.

Located in Chadstone, this cafe is an open place with a row seating. Zucchini and corn fritters served in balls. A crisp outside with a soft centre. Well paired with the cumin yoghurt and corn salsa. The poached eggs are perfectly cooked. A good combination of flavours. Lemon pepper calamari are perfectly seasoned. Lightly crumbed with a tender calamari. The lemon adds additional flavours. Rocked salad is paired on the side to refresh the palette Linguini carbonara - sauceless but well seasoned. Linguini is aldente and seasoned with cracked pepper and chuncks of bacon pieces. The parmesan is quite strong in flavour. Overall a nice cafe.

Really comfortable place to sit and rest when you're at Chadstone. Nice menu that they can change to suit your requirements. Great people to seat you and help with your order.

Service is very nice! Risotto is absolutely delicious! Rice is tender, the sauce is great! Chai latte also good.

One of the best cafe's in chadstone. I had the smashed avocado breakfast. Was nothing special.

Great food, service...easy to find seats too. But public hols do charge an extra fee. The matcha green latte is a hit! Even the almond croissant is nice. Dine in adds a dollar or so. Take away is cheaper.

Today we were served by the nicest , most polite server at Cafe Sapore. Ayesha, went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of because two of us have very high standards for food . We just wish that the menu was more flexible. Most of the wait staff are good here.

bad customer service, rude staff

We booked a table and it was confirmed. But upon arrival the store was actually closed. Please update operating hours. Very disappointed.

Cafe Sapore is the perfect place for you to dine while you’re shopping at Chadstone.
As a frequent Chadstone visitor, I loved finding this place and their amazing food!
One of our favourites was their seafood linguini - it was so delicious and filling!
The wagyu burger is another great option - and the fries were crispy too!
Don’t forget to complete your meal with a glass of aperol spritz or if you fancy something non alcoholic, look out for the Doctor C on the menu!

Cafe Sapore is a new cafe conveniently located in Chadstone Shopping Centre. It’s the perfect place for a pit-stop during a big shopping day! The venue is large, spacious and open, with plenty of seating area. The staff were very friendly and hospitable.

We had the Porridge, Seafood Linguine and the Salmon which was a special that day.

Their famous Seafood Linguine was quite nice and had a good amount of seafood. It’s not overly heavy either which I enjoyed.

The Salmon had to be my favourite dish - the fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and tender, with a crispy skin. I loved the potatoes on the side, and the sauce brought it all together. A lovely meal for lunch.

I also enjoyed a cheeky Aperol which you can’t go wrong with!

Thank you for having me.

I ordered the Calamari, my mrs ordered the Pasta. We decided to share both dishes and both had a similar reaction. We ate the food because we were hungry - but in terms of flavour and recommendations, I don't think we would ever return - Calamari was very rubbery and the pasta was just bland.

Pulled pork Benedict & Wagyu beef burger were both delicious. Would definitely recommend.

4.5 Located in chadstone this was the perfect place to dine after shopping! The food here was simple yet cooked well and had good flavour

We opted for the Caesar salad, the seafood linguine and the salmon bagels

The bagels was a generous serving with a lot of smoked salmon , the salmon and cream cheese combo is timeless but what I loved most was the picked onions on top

The seafood linguine was the highlight of the meal, so much flavour packed into this dish I really did not expect it !

Thanks for having us in!

In such a huge shopping centre such as Chadstone, it's absolutely necessary to find decent places to rest, unwind and have some refreshments. Cafe Sapore meets all those requirements and more. Located on the upper floor in the designer end of the centre, the cafe is easy to locate and has plenty of comfortable seating. Directly under the open skylights, there is beautiful, natural lighting all around. The wait staff are lovely and helpful and obviously used to being busy, but they still are on top of everything.

We started with fantastic coffee (which is essential when out shopping) and a delicious fresh juice. Wanting something different, I ordered the smoked salmon Benny and it was just divine. Two perfectly poached eggs on crispy potato rosti, and topped with plenty of smoked salmon and a delicious and creamy Hollondaise. A side of avocado was perfect with this dish. The salty salmon was so good with the creamy sauce and egg, and the rosti added the necessary crunch to this delicious dish.

The French toast was our other choice, and once again we weren't let down. Two generous pieces of egg soaked bread were toasted until golden and came with the most divine berry and orange compote and mascarpone. Simple, but delicious. Nothing complicated to this dish, but so much flavour. A nice touch of spice really added to the flavour and I would definitely pick this dish again.

Cafe Sapore is a pleasant place to stop and enjoy fabulous food and coffee with gorgeous surrounds and lovely staff. An oasis in the middle of our biggest shopping centre, and definitely the place to stop and refuel before hitting the shops again.

Sapore is an Italian cafe located inside Chadstone shopping mall. I came here on a invite for brunch and enjoyed my experience.
We ordered the seafood linguine, cinnamon French toast and wedges.

The seafood linguine was really tasty. There was a good variety of seafood; mussels, prawns, calamari and fish. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so flavoursome, I may have licked the bowl 😬.
The french toast was also good. The toast was thick cut and grilled to a nice crunchy texture in the outside. The vanilla mascarpone was the needed balance to the maple syrup and mixed berry compote.

Overall it was a good experience and a great place to fuel up when shopping at chaddy. Highly recommend the seafood linguine

A PLACE TO UNWIND AND ENJOY EATS AND DRINKS!

If you are looking for an open space dining experience for a break after a long day of shopping, this is the place to go! Located between shops in Chadatone, there is plenty of seating where you can relax and people watch whilst you enjoy your drink and dishes.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
When we arrived, we were immediately greeted with kind and friendly customer service! Service was also attentive and prompt and it did not take too long for our coffees, smoothies and dishes to arrive..

MENU AND FOOD
The menu was intensive with both breakfast menu running till 3pm and the lunch menu starting at 11:30am which is perfect when you want to have variety!
We ordered:
Salt & Pepper Calamari Salad- the calamari was so well seasoned and cooked to perfection!
Seafood Linguini- a delicious Italian dish with plenty of seafood pieces! The perfect lunch dish and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
Cinnamon French Toast- a delicious breakfast dish for the sweet tooth! Or a perfect dessert dish after lunch, which is exactly what we did!
We also ordered smoothies which were spot on!

A thoroughly enjoyable visit and experience!

Cafe Sapore, perhaps due to its location amongst haute couture fashion stores exudes class and sophistication. Everyone inside is conversing or reading and generally taking life in - as you would at a cafe. My partner and I ordered the Seafood Linguini and the Lemon Pepper Calamari Salad. The calamari was lightly battered and came with a well dressed salad with an assortment of leaves, which all worked so well together. So much so that the salad was just as good as the calamari - a welcome change from the nuisance that gets pushed to the side when it is a part of your typical pseudo-salad dish. The seafood linguini was exquisite - with a balance of salmon chunks, squid and mussels. It had an ingredient composition and a quintessential Mediterranean taste that served as a reminder of Italy's standing at the top of the culinary world. A relaxing weekend lunch for sure, and a haven for worn-out shoppers

Quite a nice cafe located in the middle of Chadstone. We tried a wide range of dishes including the chia porridge, salmon special and also the seafood linguine.
- chia porridge was really average and unfortunately the banana was quite limp and disappointing.
- the salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce and potatoes were a great addition
- the linguine was creamy and yum but nothing mind blowing

- I really liked the Tropicana smoothie though - very refreshing

Love the location of this cafe! Light and bright in the middle of Chadstone Shopping centre. Very convenient for me.

I tried the veggie breaky (made it vegan by removing eggs), and some AMAZING potato wedges. Loved those wedges! The Detox Juice was fresh and tasty too.
Would have loved to see some more vegan options on the menu!!

Staff were super friendly too. Definitely a great spot to catch up with friends or have a coffee break from shopping ;)

Thanks Café Sapore!

My least favourite thing about chadstone is trying to find a park in on the weekends! So how glad was I to find out there was a fully functioning kitchen and new brunch hot spot inside the centre! I came to chadstone early before the shops opened, so that I could get a good park and enjoy an amazing breakfast at Cafe Sapore before a day of shopping 🙊.

We were greeted and seated by the friendly staff straight away, immediately feeling welcomed. The French toast and avocado dish were definitely my favourite dishes - simple dishes but with small touches that really made them special. The pomegranate on the avocado was an amazing touch, as was the delicious fruit compote on the French toast.

Such a perfect cafe in a great spot - highly recommend to stop in on your next shopping trip 🥰

Ordered the cinnamon French toast and wasn’t really satisfied with my experience.
1. Something smelled stale (the stale smell that comes from cutlery or glass plates that haven’t been washed properly). This was really off-putting.
2. Little maple syrup. I love my French toast drenched in maple syrup but this French toast had too much berry compote and little maple syrup. Very very disappointing.
We came into the cafe around 3:30pm on 27th sept. We were offer a seat and before I place my order I had told the waitress that I am a Zomato gold member and entitle to enjoy the 1+1 deal. The waitress take a look at my phone screen and say OK. Half an hour later we were told they are closing soon due to public holiday. Fine... anyway we had finished our meal and drinks and so we heading to the cashier for payment then we were told they don’t accept zomato member on public holiday. I had read the t&c before I place order and even told the waitress and now you were telling me you don’t accept it on public holiday? They read the terms and condition on my phone and they too can’t find that we are not allow to used it on public holiday. They just leave me “ we don’t accept it on public holiday”.
This will definitely be the last time I visit this cafe and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Walking around Chadstone you definitely build up an appetite! Sitting in a busy food court with no space and food all over the tables is not my thing! Lucky for Cafe Sapore you can enjoy a good breakfast or lunch under the sky light in a spacious and clean dining area.

We enjoyed their French toast, eggs benny and chicken burger and these were all delicious and went down a treat!

Highly recommend visiting this place!

Another newly cafe addition to Chadstone Shopping Centre, a perfect rest stop after your shopping. We had:
- Baked eggs
- Avo + rosti
- Cinnamon french toast
Along with 2 juice
- Doctor C
- Garden green
The baked eggs has a good flavour, the rosti was nice and crispy and the french toast was fluffy. Although the avo + rosti dish could have a better presentation, it looks a bit plain and empty on the plate, but other than that everything tasted nice and yummy.
Would happy to be back and try other dishes on the lunch menu!

I really enjoyed my visit to Cafe Saporo. It's the perfect spot for a pre shopping fuel up or post shopping coffee.

Located in a prime strip inside Chadstone shopping centre, I loved how there was light streaming in from the beautiful windows on the roof & it was surrounded by luscious palm trees.

Soy iced latte: Lovely, slightly creamy coffee that wasn't too bitter.
Avo & rosti: The eggs were poached perfectly & oozed over the dish. I really enjoyed the pairing of slightly crispy rosti & half an avo!
Wedges: WOW, these are some of the crispiest, tastiest wedges ever! If you're feeling peckish I'd highly recommend sharing these with a friend, or just having a bowl to yourself.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The service was fast & the food came out in great time!

If you’re looking for a perfect rest stop from all your shopping and don’t want food court food, cafe sapore is the place to be. Their menu has extended variety from breakfast to lunch dish to choose from. We ordered baked eggs, avo rosti and seafood linguini. For drinks we had soy cap (absolute best coffee) and OJ which was freshly made. The highlight would be seafood linguini as the dish is packed of flavour and SO MUCH seafood. Avo rosti has perfect combination of salmon to rosti ratio and overall very tasty dish. We also loved the mixture of tomato sauce/ pesto and goat cheese in the baked eggs, definitely not a boring dish.

Great coffee plus the seafood linguine and French toast as delish!

Nice to not have to head downstairs and fight the crowds n the food court.

i ordered a really yummy pulled pork benedict! it was really flavourful and really filling. Tha cabonara was just right, not too creamy and not too salty. Would definitely recommend! Although on the pricier side, we used Zomato Gold’s 1-1 and it ended up being $31 for the 2 dishes and 2 drinks!

🍊 ORANGE YOU GLAD OUI ORDERED FRENCH TOAST?! 🇫🇷
.
What does Neil Armstrong put on his toast? 👨‍🚀
Answer - SPACE JAM 🏀
.
---------------------------------------------
📍 Chadstone, VIC
🏠 @cafe_sapore
.
🍞 Cinnamon French Toast $17.0
.
Straight from the fashion capital itself comes casual yet elegant Cafe that is @cafe_sapore! 😎 Great all day dining menu filled with your classics along with daily specials 👌🏽 large seating area for all sized parties and if you're just after a quick bite! 😊 From delicious pasta dishes to an eggs benny, they'll have you covered at any time of the day ⌚
.
✔️ DELICIOUS! 😋
.
I'm a pretty big fan of this French toast! They don't try to do too much with it but stick to simple flavours that work amazing with eachother! 😉 Pretty straight forward really, but when done well it's a damn good dish! I loved french toast itself 🍞 it was fluffy with a slight crisp outer layer for texture. The Berry compote was on point, not too sweet or sour! ☝🏽 The vanilla marscapone is always a winner for me because it carries the sweet and tangy flavours so well! 👏🏼 The stand out of this dish was the sugared orange slices! 🍊 They added fantastic punch to the dish overall and delivered a zesty sweet kick to the marscapone 👊🏾 stroke of genius if you ask me! 🤓 Well done!
.
💵 VFM - great value for money! With the cost of eating out going up in general across the board, this french toast is quite good value for $17 🍞
.
💡TIP - keep an eye out for a soon to be posted ragu pasta! 🍝
.

Great stop over for a nice bite. Chadstone directory does not show their location .

Its opposite TDE, Gorman, AJE, Nepressor and MJ Bale.

Good table service and simple menu.

The special are good to try Ie lamb pasta with cherry tomatoes (a bit spicy) and the classic seafood linguini (bit salty).

RATING 3.5

Sapore is located in a really convenient spot for a shopping pit stop at Chadstone - it's in one of the shopping isles rather than being in the food court so has a much nicer and quieter atmosphere.

Loads of seating and a comprehensive cafe style menu, they serve breakfast til 3pm which is fabulous! They also have a lunch menu and a good selection of pre-made rolls and sweet treats. The prices aren't cheap but it's what you'd expect to pay for decent food in the middle of the biggest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere.

We went on a weekend afternoon and were greeted with a smile and seated straight away. The service was attentive and the meals came out of the kitchen quite quickly.

A lot of the dishes are made on site so you know they're fresh, and the coffee is excellent - it's my go to for a caffeine hit when I'm at Chaddy and so convenient!

We had the wagyu beef burger with melted cheese and aioli on brioche - nice and fresh, a lovely light bun, and a good portion size with great chips.
The Zucchini and corn fritters were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, with a generous amount of smoked salmon and two poached eggs. This was another good sized dish and very tasty.
Finally we shared the sticky date pudding. Another house dish, hot, fresh and light with nice pieces of date throughout and a delicious caramel sauce.
PRO TIP - order extra sauce

Sapore is definitely worth the visit next time you're at chaddy and in need of a refuel or just a yummy treat and good coffee

3.5 ⭐️
I’ve walked past Cafe Sapore many times over the years at Chadstone Shopping Centre but haven’t sat down for a meal until now. It’s a great place to sit back and relax with great coffee and an expansive all day breakfast and lunch (from 11.30am) menu as well as heaps of ready made salads and sandwiches.

We had the Cinnamon French Toast ($17) which consisted of two thick cut slices of grilled brioche with mixed berry compote, maple syrup and vanilla mascarpone. This was by far my favourite dish and absolutely delicious. It’s a traditional style French Toast where you can taste the egg (in a good way!) and just a great crowd pleasing dish.

We also had the Avo & Rosti ($21) with potato & chive rosti’s topped with smoked salmon, avocado, poached eggs and hollandaise. This was yummy but a bit plain for me. Lastly we ordered the Pulled Pork Benedict but this mistakenly came out with with bacon instead of pork. We didn’t want them to remake it and have this dish go to waste so just left it as-is, it was fine but obviously not a reflection of the intended dish.

Overall it’s a great option for a sit down meal or just coffees while shopping around Chadstone. Definitely recommend for that French Toast!

Cafe Sapore -

This little gem of a cafe is based in the heart of busy Chadstone Shopping centre, and oh gosh the two things I have no self control over are food and shopping and let me tell you this is the best place for brunch!

The staff at Cafe Sapore were so lovely, warm and super attentive and all the food and drinks came out so fast I was very impressed!
The cafe is situated under the beautiful glass open roof, so it is nice and bright showcases the delicious dishes.

I had the:
Cinnamon French Toast: continuing my new addiction for French toast, it was warm, crunchy on the outside, and moist with the right amount of sweetness and great choice of fruits!

Big Breakfast: what a spread and great combo! The relish was a great addition with the eggs, and everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection! Sausage, bacon, mushrooms and more, winning!!!!!!

The baked eggs: the couple sitting next to me saw mine come out and ordered it, let me tell you the photos don’t disappoint. These baked eggs were soooo good, full of flavour, with a bit of spice and tasty veggies mixed through. Was the highlight of my brunch and highly recommend. 🍳

Coffees: THEY DO LARGE CUPS, because sometimes hungover sundays deserve a large coffee and ohhhh did it hit the spot 😍
Juice: the doctor C - this juice cleansed my soul 😂 it was so fresh and the perfect combination
Smoothie: the Tropicana - smooth, fresh and very tropical haha, the perfect side to my baked eggs

All in all, a delicious and lovely experience at Cafe Sapore. I’ll be dreaming about those baked eggs 🤩

Second time there with my Wife. We ordered the Veggie Breakfast and the Fritas.

Presentation: Very Impressive. Fancy
Taste: Good.
Service: Excellent, friendly, personable
Speed: Pretty fast. Didn't wait long at all!

Top notch food with top notch coffee And service!
We came in on a busy Sunday lunch and we were still so impressed with the service and quality of food. Definitely no microwaved food here, fresh quality with fresh ingredients. We had the special pasta of the day and it was just incredible ; the red sauce tasted like something straight from Italia or even at Nonnas house! The chef did a great job and deserves a pay rise after putting something like that together!
Coffee Snob
Today is one of many times that I have ran into staff from Sapore in the toilet whom still have their apron on and walk out without washing their hands! I definitely wouldn’t want anyone with such low hygienic standards to handle my food. Management should really get into this ASAP.
Burgers Of Melbourne
Ordered the open platter and a cocktail (because what other drinks gets you through a day of shopping) and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, in fact the espresso martini was one of the best I have had. Recommend!

This place is actually really good. Almost too good to be stuck in Chadstone! Next time you're hungry after big shop, stop in for a breaky or coffee!

I Wouldnt normally eat in a shopping centre but walking around aimlessly for hours chasing your ladies tail is hungry work! If you need to eat somewhere in Chaddie make it here, food is great, coffee was even better. Pleasantly surprised!

Café Sapore is located inside Chadstone away from the busy crowd. You actually get to have a relaxing break between shopping. Much better than eating at the busy food courts (especially on the weekend). I loved the atmosphere and the staff was great too!

They offer a variety of hot and cold drinks, quick bites and actual meals. It basically has everything you need for a calm lunch break.

I definitely recommend the Avocado and Rosti and the Nutella Milkshake. Loved them both!

Over all a good place to enjoy a break and fill up your tummy.

It's so nice to find a pram-friendly café inside Chadstone with table service! This is so much nicer than all the food-court alternatives around and is in a nice, well-lit area of the shopping centre.

Great service and a big menu to choose from. The signature Sapore Salad was a hit, very flavoursome and filling. Added the crispy skin salmon which was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back next time I'm at Chadstone!
Juhi- Culture And Cuisine
I recently visited Cafe Sapore and thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

🔸️ Located in the ever busy Chadstone shopping Centre, Cafe Sapore is easy to locate and is filled with buzz.

🔸️ The staff are amazing but the service is slightly slow.

Here is what I ordered:
🥑 Avo and feta smash - a really delicious and well priced dish. The two poached eggs were really filling. As they always say, you can never go wrong with a smashed avo!

🥞 French Toast - I am not generally the biggest fan of French Toast but I really liked this one at Cafe Sapore. The combination of vanilla mascarpone, butterscotch and mixed berries is extremely delicious and should be tried.

🥤 Nutella Milkshake - The presentation can be worked on as the drink looks so bland for photos. I personally found the shake a little too milky but was good nonetheless.

☕ Iced coffee - Again, the presentation is very poor. I did enjoy my coffee tho.
The.Top.Lifestylee
On the avo smash the sourdough was really nice and tasted really fresh. the portion of avo was also really generous as well as the 2 eggs. The baslamic added a really unique flavour making this dish different to what weve had before and adding a really nice dressing for the rocket. however this dish didnt have much feta in the avo which was a bit disapointing and there was only 1 thin piece of toast for all the avo and 2 eggs. On the Rosti dish the portion was very generous with 2 of everything. the rosti were really flavoursome and had quite a unique flavour, the salmon added nice saltiness and the hollandaise was really creamy. the avo was so generous too giving half of an avocado on the dish. there was a bit too much of the hollndaise however, which made it a bit hard to taste the rest of the dish as it overpowered a bit and the presentation wasnt the best either with the large amout of sauce. The arancini were amazing and the tomato sauce with them was so Delish too! The atmosphere of this cafe was nice as it is in a shopping centre but a quiet area of it and the decor was all very nice. The staff were nice and willing to assist in any was you needed.

Yes Yes Yes is what I have to say about Café Sapore inside Chadstone. Away from the hustle and bustle of the food courts, Café Sapore is on its own with amble seating and table service. Offering hot drinks, cold drinks, quick bites and even sit down meals the team really have nailed the menu. You can even get a sneaky espresso martini which is a great pick me up between shopping :P

absolutely delicious breakfast this morning, perfect start to my Monday

located in the gorgeous Chadstone shopping centre on the ground level! gorgeous cafe with friendly staff and extremely quick service, i especially loved their indoor roof for shade as their is so much light coming in from the sky lights, the indoor roof they expanded out for us made us enjoy the experience more so there was no sun in our face!

i thoroughly enjoyed this cafe! I had a potato rosti stack with with smoked salmon, poached eggs and avocado topped with hollandaise!!! absolutely delicious!!! really generous portions and value for money!

Yes/no? No

Got the avocado and feta smash,
Wasn’t impressed.
Small serving sizes and it lacked flavour and the prices weren’t worth how much youre getting.

Wouldn’t return

A great spot to have a break from shopping at Chadstone. We ordered some scones with jam and cream, it was lovely that they were served warm. Coffee was good, this cafe should be a 4 but I do love my coffee art and believe that all cafes should take that extra bit of time to present their coffees better.

Food was reasonably good. I recommend the calamari salad and linguini carbonara, with generous portion. Not a big fan on the benedict though

As good as it gets in the middle of a shopping centre. Open style souvlaki is always a great feed after a long morning shopping. Staff work hard to keep things flowing properly.

Efficient service. Good food 👍 we tried linguini carbonara and risotto. Along with chicken nuggets and hot chocolate for our son. We would come here again.

We had dinner here on a coupon deal. The restaurant is in the middle of a walkway in Chaddy shopping centre. We felt we were being rushed as we arrived at 7:30pm for our booking and the restaurant was closing at 8 or 8:30. I had the pork schnitzel which was very nice. Unfortunately at that late point in the day there was little choice available for desserts. I had the lemon tart which was nothing special.
Chrissy Halden
Food: French toast was soft but not soggy. The sauce and berries were a beautiful addition to the texture and softeness of the toast. This dish made me smile.
Ambience: even though it’s in a shopping centre it has a calm vibe, everyone’s smiling, upbeat tunes and clean tables with nice furniture.
Staff: friendly. Jenna spelt with a J thank you, not a G is by far the most professional, bucket of personality and charisma kind of waitress that every venue needs.
Service: efficient
Gigi
Utterly disappointing.

I recently went for a dinner here with my family and it was truly a horrible experience. It began when we sat down. We had purchased a voucher and were excited to use it at this restaurant. We handed the waiter our two vouchers, which he took. Upon taking our seats, the waiter (who had a French accent) approached us and attempted to take our orders. Whilst doing so, he said a very snide remark and even asked if we had booked. This did not make sense to us, considering we were already seated. This odd encounter set the tone for the night. We did our best to move on and enjoy our night.

We were then served our food, which was sub par at best; bland arancini balls, rubbery scones and mushy risotto. The food, however, was not even the worst part.

Once we finished our meal, as our vouchers had already been paid for and we had not ordered anything additional, we walked out. We were abruptly stopped at the door by the manager. She had long brown hair and a Spanish accent. She rudely accused us of attempting to steal two meals, as she claimed she only received one voucher (two meals per voucher).

When we handed the two vouchers to the waiter upon arrival, we did so in good faith. He evidently made a mistake when handing them to his manager. We, however, were being blamed for his foolish mistake.

It is not the mistake that is the issue, it is terrible, insulting manner in which the matter was handled. The manager's accusations were loud and embarrassing, as well as uncalled-for. She demanded we show her the voucher receipt on my mum's bank account. This was, firstly, highly invasive and, secondly, unprofessional.

Another employer, with a red bandana on her head and auburn hair, decided to get involved. She insulted my mum, whom I believed handled the situation with grace as best as she could. This second employee was very defensive and went straight into attack. This behaviour further emphasised the waitstaff's low level of professionalism.

My mum eventually found the receipt, to the manager's begrudging satisfaction. We were finally allowed to leave. This incident left us shaken and very upset. We live locally to Chadstone Shopping Centre and visit it very frequently. We now avoid the area of this restaurant, out of fear we will be confronted with the aggressive, accusatory waitstaff.

This is very upsetting and I regret my mum purchasing the vouchers in the first place. I would not recommend you go to this restaurant. There is miscommunication between staff, the food is below average and the prices are unnecessarily high for what you receive.

If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Save your money: go somewhere else...anywhere else.

Went for a family dinner, very disappointed with management tonight! Food was average, lacked flavour !! Rude female manager! Other staff were good. I work too hard to just give my money to disrespectful people.

Good service, food came promptly. Portion sizes were decent. Calamari was the up there with the best and was tender and had a good amount of seasoning. The open souvlaki came with a good amount of meat and pita bread and dip went well with it salad was also good. The kids meal came with a generous size of food. Give the food court a miss and go to one of the best food places in Chadstone.

Went today and I wouldn't even give this place one star. Terrible customer service, man with attitude made us move tables when there were many tables available and after saying sit any where. Coffee was late and not that great. Sometimes I don't know how people run their cafes, learn some customer service skills seriously.

In the heart of the shopping area. Didn’t expect much, but this Cafe Sapore surprised me! It serves good quality food while waiting for your peers to shop around 😊

👌🏼Roast chicken risotto, Seafood linguine & the special of the day was their moist fish!

My business partners love Cafe Sapore, so do I. We’ve been coming here in several occasions and never disappointed. Great service...friendly, genuine and accommodating. Good coffee...a little bit weak for me but still nice. Good food...simple , uncomplicated selections. Too tired from shopping? Come sit down and have a good time here. 👍

We shared a ‘Raspberry White Chocolate Muffin ($4.40)’ for afternoon tea. I ordered a Hot Chocolate ($3.90)… My dining companion went with a large latte ($4.70) made with Genovese Coffee…

So many yummy pre made cake options perfect for a bit of a pit stop coffee in between bouts of shopping. The tim tam cheesecake is super delicious as are the other cheesecakes. Have never been disappointed with their sweets and they always taste fresh

Reasonably priced, very consistent high quality food. Every dish on the menu has its own special characters. Fantastic service and very friendly staff.

Cafe Sapore is located in the heart of the Chadstone Fashion Capital Shopping Centre. We were craving for some Italian western food after some long crazy shopping. There was a fair variety of dishes to choose from their menu, ranging from all day breakfast, pasta, risotto, grill, salad, pizza, sandwiches and baguettes. The food was delicious and each had their special elements, however it took a long time for the dishes to be served. The seafood linguine had a decent amount of seafood but there was still grit/sand in my mussels. The coffee was also average and didn't have a strong aroma or taste.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This place is one of my favourites in chadstone, the coffee is strong and always on point. I just had the avo smash for breakfast and it was probably one of the best ones I've ever had but you always have to add bacon!
The staff as well are absolutely amazing always friendly some are Italian and you get to hear their beautiful language before you start your day at work. I love this place I actually don't think words can describe how great everything is here ! Love it !

Have been there lots of times coz the good location. I love the seafood linguine and chicken rissoto. Coffee is good as well. Staff is helpful.

Quick and attentive service. I got the arancini, which was nice but not anything too special. For the juice you can pick the ingredients, I got orange, ginger, lemon and mint, which allowed a personalised touch.

Cheese cake tastes very bland but coffee is great. Service was just okay, however the waiter seemed doesn't know how to do cash register very well so it becomes annoying at the end.

Despite it being grand final day chadstone was absolutely packed! So to take a break from the bustle we stopped by for lunch. We had the quinoa salad with grilled lamb and the chicken mushroom risotto. Both the salad and risotto hit the spot for us and we will be back to try a few more dishes and give you guys an update! Quick but a good visit :)

I have had lunch at this place many times. I have tried a couple different dishes and it has not yet failed me. I usually go for the homemade porcini mushroom arancini because it's cheap and you get 3. I have tried some of their specials before and really loved them. Once they had a pasta with tomato sugo which was amazing. The only thing I did not enjoy (which was a special) was the truffle soup (?) It was very thick but that was only once.
The staff were lovely here - no complaints about the service at all! However unfortunately the food wasn't as nice as I was hoping it would be. My soft shell crab burger had far too much basil and coriander (both of which I usually love), to the point where it was overpowering - not to mention the chips it came with were cold. That said, my partner enjoyed his pumpkin ravioli, which he said was lovely. I'd be willing to try Cafe Sapore once more, in the hopes that it was just an 'off' dish.

4/5 - I never get a chance to sit down and have a proper meal on my shopping days in Chaddy, but I had the best chicken open souvlaki today - being part Greek I had low expectations but the meal was literally enough for two people.

6 tenderloins, lemon, Greek salad, pita and sauce oh my gosh it was epic huge. Really tasty. Lots of seating if you have a pram around the perimeter and the coffee was spot on. Why I haven't sat down here in years... So good and will be back next week to try that huge Parma!

service was friendly & good. Such a busy place at lunch time which is a good sign. My duck pasta was very nice, needs a little more detail explaining it on the menu though. The calamari looked good, Will be back for sure!
Melbsgaleater
Not bad for a cafe in the middle of the centre. Very standard menu items which I suppose is expected, nothing special but nothing to complain about either (taste-wise). The staff, however, did not seem very welcoming or friendly which took away the experience a bit for me

I really like the sandwiches here. The chicken bacon one is so good. I could eat 10 lol. Always packed however some staff members are weird.

Service staff were a little sluggish. However we enjoyed the food, I tried the smoked ham hock with white beans. It was very tasty and the sauce went really well with the sourdough bread.

Went here for lunch today, really busy environment because the cafe is found in the heart of Chadstone. The service was okay, the staff were super busy so it was a little slow. The food was decent and decently priced, however it took way too long for the dishes to come out.
Nelly
The staff have always greeted me nicely. The menu used to be huge and unmanageable. Thankfully it's simplified but has done so at a cost,

They used to make their own hash browns, they used make beautiful fresh salads. Now it's a totally different story, because yes it's in a mall and people want/ expect their food quickly.

It's just the over simplification has turned the food into something really forgettable and yet the price is still the same. I can't but help feeling jibbed which is a shame as it used to be nicer
My Babes And I
My babes and I had a few hours to kill after dropping her sister off at Caulfield Racecourse for work. We don't often travel to the Eastside of Melbourne so we decided to drive a further 10 minutes out to Chadstone while we're here.
We started to get hungry just before 11 AM when I spotted a cafe whilst we were window shopping. The wonderful aromas emanating from the open kitchen, very friendly waiting staff greeting us with a smile and full table service won me over before we even got to see the menu. After seeing the high standard of service we were receiving, my babes and I couldn't wait to have brunch at Cafe Sapore!
I ordered the Cafe Sapore Big Breakfast and a Cafe Latte and my babes ordered a pre-made Pollo Turkish Pide with the avocado removed.
I received my latte within a few minutes of sitting down and our meals were served another 15 minutes after that.
I was impressed by how my Big Breakfast looked; simple, not too much and very appetising. The handful of bacon rashers and large cheese kransky were well fried to how I like it, the field mushroom sautéed in herbs was very fragrant, the tomato relish was flavoursome and the two eggs on a slice of unbuttered toasted sourdough was poached perfectly! The only downside for me was that the grilled tomato was a little undercooked but otherwise I highly enjoyed my brunch!
My babes really enjoyed her Pollo Turkish Pide. The sautéed spinach was creamy and helped moisten the slightly dry roast chicken within the toasted Turkish Pide along with the fresh tomatoes, basil aioli and melted Swiss cheese. Although I felt the avocado would've added an extra depth of flavour to the already delicious Pide, my babes used the remainder of the tomato relish from my meal, which combined well with the rest of the ingredients, as a flavoursome substitute.
From the friendly and efficient table service to the delicious and well presented dishes, there isn't much I can fault during our brunch experience. I wasn't expecting much from a shopping centre cafe but I was impressed that Cafe Sapore well and truly exceeded any preconceptions I had.

This was my regular, twice a week lunch hide out in the past under the previous management. He called himself Elvis & his brother. Until months ago, it was sold to a new owner.

I decided to give it a GO .... At last. Their ever popular calamari salad was .... Not bad but somehow, it's a little to tough. Guess, most seafood are imported mainly from China. I am one that never support imported seafood where oz seafood are best.

Coffee was as always good, service ... Is even better than before.

What we have here is a decent little Italian themed cafe in the middle of a busy suburban shopping centre. Nothing to get excited about but hey, it does what is says on the label. Above average service by young friendly waiters with strong Italian accents. Good coffee. Cakes not house made but fresh. This is a place I wouldn't go out of my way to visit but it comfortably ticks the suburban shopping centre 'quick pick me up' box.

Great for shopping centre food I've been here a few times and the gnocchi and tiramisu are very good and hearty dishes decent price great when you need fuel after a shopping marathon

Ok, so you have heard about my fixation with the Chadstone Shopping Centre and I have no plans of starting it off again. Let’s just get straight on to the review this time. I have noticed this Café a zillion times and make a mental note to visit it every time I pass by as it is situated right in the middle of the shopping centre with absolutely fantastic boutiques surrounding it….Ugg Boots Australia, being my favourite.

We are regulars here- stop by for lunch every couple of weekends and am never disappointed. New menu featuring more breakfast items is a definite welcome, though all day breakfast would be perfect. The salad options are great, and the food is always well-prepared and well-presented, especially for a shopping centre cafe. Service is variable, but in general quite friendly and efficient. Favourite place to eat in Chadstone, by far!
Bugalugs
Nope. Served drink in a broken glass. Pasta of the day had a TON of chilli in it without being told. All care factor zero.

This place can be hit and miss. Ive had delicious..and not so delicious experiences. Thankfully my most recent lunch was really nice. Topped off with attentive service, I would say this place is on the rise:)

Very poor service - shocking coffee. The barista on the takeaway area has no idea of the meaning of good service. He's extremely rude and unpleasant. Plus he has no idea of how to make a good coffee.
I'd heard good things, but they must've changed the barista - I won't be going back!
Kiwikate50
Downhill. This place must have changed hands. I used to LOVE coming here...for the food and the service.
Today the service was pleasant but slow. My daughters salad had slimy leaves all through it.
I won't be back.

Something good, but mostly BAD!!. I walked into this place as I passed by whilst shopping. It's in the middle of a wide shopping isle inside the centre. The location and set up of seating etc.. is good and so is the tall tree at the cashier. But....the bad was from start to finish. Here's what I experienced. I was greeted at the front by what appeared to be a 15yr old boy.. He seemed so young and fidgety. The place was half full (lunchtime Sunday). I found a place to sit, he quickly came to me with bottle of water and filthy dirty glass. They need new clean glasses here. I watched the very young waiters and tattooed waitress keep walking by me, taking orders off others...but not coming to me! Everyone else was in groups or partners, being the only patron on my own, they totally ignored me. After 15 mins, I called over a waiter..he said "sorry" (must've seen my frustration). I ordered a wrap, chips and coffee. As I waited, I drank the water, taste urine...yep, yucky recycled sewer tap water. Patrons at another table didnt have salt. The very young fidgety waiter came to me and asked to take my salt. But there was an empty table next to me with salt on it...and my food hadnt arrived yet.. so why ask to take it off me if there's a great chance I might need it??? Annoyongly, I declined and motioned the empty table next to me had salt!!! The coffee and food came promptly. Coffee, chips and wrap were good. But the handful of lettuce on the side was flooded from the oil. Whilst eating, they played awful bad music in the background...it was deathly sounding pounding club music. Most annoying. Patrons at another table didnt have salt. When finished I went to the cashier. A young male waiter was there with (Italian?) accent. After taking my money, he didnt smile or say "thank you". Out of common courtesy, even though I didnt like it here, at least I said "thank you". Left from here never to return.

Really enjoyed my recent experience at this cafe. I was in on Thursday and there was a really good vibe about the place. Everyone was enjoying themselves and looked like they really wanted to be there. I had the calamari salad which was really tasty (I was suprised to be honest to get this in a cafe in a shopping centre) my friend had the mixed grill plate which was pretty good too. Coffee wasn't too bad either. All in all a great experience. I'll be back next time I'm in Chadstone !!!

This is a great Cafe. Try it - it's really good.. I've been here 4 times over the last 3 months. Each time the staff are polite and attentive. The food is to a very high standard for a Cafe and all tastes fresh. I recommend the Sapore Salad - it's very good. The calamari here is some of the best I've tasted ever. Perfectly cooked. The coffee is top notch too - really good. The setting is nice - although it's in a shopping centre - it's located in an Aisle between some upmarket clothes shops. Good seating & access - very comfortable.

They have a large shade sail to keep the sun off you as the Aisle is lit from the windows above. It's got a surprisingly nice ambiance - not to noisy. Good enough for an informal business meeting even.

All in all, a great Cafe and service experience.

Bad service full stop. They got my order wrong, had to wait a long time and terrible service. Won't recommend it to anyone.

Poor service, very salty food, overall just avoid the place.

Ms P. Jansz. What a surprise? A dish I have had so often (Seafood Linguine) was a total disaster! The seafood was cold and tired and looked unappetising. I realise, I should have sent it back, but having never done this before, was too embarrassed!!
Also did not appreciate the girl stacking chairs around us while we were eating! Please don't tell me that the place has changed hands!!!

Crappy service. Walked out after 10 minutes of no service. Definitely won`t be back!

Bad chefs who loves salt. I have been a regular until recently they had "new" chefs. The food is so salty that its quite inedible. The pan seared fish has been coated - literally with salt. You spent so much money doing up your business and allow a few bad chefs to ruin your business.
