Review Grill'd - Chadstone

GossipGirl XOXO
Grill’d is my fav burger shop in Melbourne. I tried all the beef burgers in the menu. My fav is Summer Sunset, I love the charred pineapple, juicy and tangy just well balanced the favors. And my second fav is Mighty Melbourne, love the fires egg with runny yolk, so delicious and of course the beetroot. As to side, my fav is the zucchini chips, but sometimes it’s too soggy! And very friendly and helpful staff every time. Go back again and again

I had a vagyu burger with bacon and some fries. Cost $28. Bacon was burnt/black, fries below average. Fries must have been sitting there for some time as they were cold. I will definitely not be back

We always have a great experience at this Grill'd. The staff are friendly, the food comes quick and tastes great. The heater's outside are great for winter!

Service is always spot on and exceptional, very friendly helpful staff and they all are very nice to my dog and bring her water to the outdoor tables which are quiet and relatively private away from the main road. Highly recommended

Burgers were standard for Gill’d. Good location. Reasonable cleanliness. Most recently went there on a busy Friday night. Kitchen was pumping out the burgers for dine in, takeaway and Uber customers. After 30 minutes we enquired about our burgers and after some investigation they realised the order was lost. They were very apologetic and addressed the issue straight away. Good job mending relations with a disappointed customer. Will go again (but will keep the receipt in case order gets lost again on a busy night)

The last few times I’ve been here, I’ve been disappointed. Visited on the 7th December. Very lacking customer service, we felt unwelcome. We got the zucchini chips as well as regular chips and two burgers. The zucchini chips were so burned we didn’t eat them. My burger was also burned, very poorly presented and very lacking in flavour and major components.

This place serves disgusting over-cooked chips. I have given feedback but they don't care. Beware.

I ordered a vegetarian burger and received a beef burger! Such poor service considering your burgers on your vegetarian menu are named completely different to the meat ones. Not good enough!

grill’d has the 👏 best 👏 chips!! hands down, they are always soo crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and absolutely coated with that delicious herb and salt seasoning. service is friendly with a smile, it’s just the burgers are a bit pricey in my opinion. wish they had cheaper vego options with more salad than anything - lettuce should be a must in any burger tbh.

I super love the summer sunset burger. What a great combination (avocado, beef, pineapple, etc. )

But don't try their plant-based burger, it's disappointing!

Grill’d does a VERY good low carb burger and sweet potato fries. Its packed with flavour, holds together well (not like most low carb buns out there), restaurants are comfortable, service is friendly, prices are good. A solid option if you feel like a quick bite to eat.

Great place for burgers, they're clean and tidy the food is always fresh, the staff are very friendly and patient when you are indecisive about what you are ordering.
Food always comes out quickly.

The sweet potato chips over cooked! The sweet potato chips over cooked! The sweet potato chips over cooked! The sweet potato chips over cooked! The sweet potato chips over cooked! The sweet potato chips over cooked! The sweet potato chips over cooked!

Usually a fan of this branch. Went around 9:15 pm today (the branch is open til 10:30 pm). We were the only ones ordering at the time. The service was slow and came home to realise the sweet potato chips were burnt. Really disappointed and won’t be returning here again!

Not gonna lie, this is one of the best burger places in Melbourne. We had the Simply Grill’d and that was simply amazing. The balance between the bread, meat, and veggies, and the flavour of the sauce, was truly something that would make you believe it’s not the last time eating there.

So i visited this place after my roommate strongly suggested.

Place- It is a cosy place play with a decent ambience, perfect for a lunch or evening snack time!

Food- Tried the classic beef burger, the patty was juicy and evenly cooked. The flavours added up and I really enjoyed that simple burger.

The spicy salsa salad tasted quite good! We ordered mushroom parma and bbq brisket as well and they tasted not bad though they looked ordinary. The staff were friendly so the overall dining experience was great!

Definitely a good place for burgers in Chadstone. It’s a great spot to hang out, but the tables can be a bit sticky.

The service is quick and the staff are nice. The burgers are pricey but definitely filling. Many good options for meat-lovers, vegetarians and even vegans. I love the sides the most.
EatsOfMelbourneAus
You can always find the best burgers at Grill’d, and theres no other burger place that compares in my opinion. Thank you for always providing the best service and tastes going around 💕💕

Really nice and light dinner for weekend. I love salad like this way. Fried sweet potato is super good for taste. Nice staffs and friendly recommend food for us.

The store here is like no other Grill’d I’ve seen around Melbourne. The interior is quite light and airy, with plenty of space available. My usual order is the Zen Hen burger on a traditional bun, which was very flavourful. Of course, I had to order their chips too, and it came out fresh and crispy. Loved it with the sweet chilli mayo sauce.

Awesome experience here at Chadstone Grill’d!

The staff were really friendly, especially the guy who took our order & started using Simon Says for every question after we ordered a Simon says!

I tried the beyond burger patty in a garden goodness for the first time! It didn’t taste exactly like meat but it sure was close. The texture was similar & the char you’d get on a meat burger was also similar. The burger toppings were tasty & fresh.
The sweet potato fries were tasty, had a good amount of seasoning. We had just enough herbed mayo for the to share size.
My boyfriend enjoyed both the chicken Simon says & the simply grill’d. He loved both!

The food came out in good time, we weren’t waiting long at all.

Grill'd is my wifes favourite take away/restaurant. There burgers are usually consistent between outlets. The burgers are very nice.

I had the Mighty Melbourne today but I have tried many pf there other burgers too. My wifes favorite is the Simon says.

There traditional chips and sweet potato chips are delicious.

Price is also on quite good.
The Dear Luncher
Years ago when Grill'd arrived on the scene it was pretty rad. There was just something about it. A new player, it was exciting. Then came the burger craze and Grill'd just became one of countless options around town. Just another burger joint, minus the brioche buns.

It had been at least a year since the last sampling of Grill'd. So how do they stack up in 2019? The verdict is that they are still a reliable burger outlet, you're still going to get a decent burger. However, as far as The Dear Luncher is concerned you can do a lot better for the price around town.

The chips are still outstanding. The signature rosemary recipe they roll with is terrific. And the chilli mayo is always The Dear Luncher's go to sauce when going here.

3.5/5.

This has to be the best burger place for families!
Consistently delicious burgers with healthy nutritious fillings - you don’t feel heavy and disgusting afterwards, which means you can come more often:)
We had Simon Says, Crispy bacon & cheese, mini me beef for Miss 5.

First time stepping into Grill’d I was confused to choose from the variety of dishes available on the menu. I chose hot bird with famous grill’d fries and sweet potato chips and pepsi. One of the best burgers I have ever had.
Flying Forward
What’s good about Grill’d is the consistency of the menu across the different branches.
This particular post out in Chadstone makes very good use of the large restaurant/deli it had taken over.
Lots of booths and with floor to ceiling windows, allows lots of natural light to come in.
What I also like is you have the option of going healthy, but they also have “unhealthy” options.

You want beer with your burger? They have it on tap – quality ales from Stone & Wood too.

• Sir Truffle - Wagyu truffle burger was very tasty with that deep, earthy truffle edge and a kick of herbiness from the basil. Very good burger.
• Moroccan Lamb – delicious burger with a light “lamby” taste, the tanginess from the tzatziki gives it a good lift.
• Classic Herb Chips – used to be my favourite chips, but this one fell short of expectation. Could have been sitting in the chip bin for a few mins, as it wasn’t as crunchy and the middle was soft, dry and stodgy. Even the herb mayo couldn’t rescue it.
• Zucchini Chips – I like the crunchy thick coating, but it doesn’t stay on the zucchini, so it falls off. Also half the chips stuck together from the batter, so I had to pull them apart and it just turned to mess. Tasty though, once you get to manage it.

Service was attentive, but maybe too eager. My burger plate had been taken away even before I finished the chips, so crumbs just fell to the table. Well, they’ll have to clean it up anyway.

Had the Sir Truffle waggu burger . This is the first time i tried out waggu and damn it I was instantly in heaven . The taste of that silky salty truffle oil dripping all over my hands was the best thing ever . It is one of the premium burgers of grilld but totally worth it .Also tried the south east pork belly burger , It took some time to get used to the taste and know whats happening but it was also totally worth it 😍
The Little Foodlet
Everything about the place is great - friendly service, open ambience, and delicious food (and not overly priced)!!

We ordered for four Burgers -
HotBird: A spicy chicken burger
Mighty Melbourne: Juicy Beef burger
Chilli Addict: A spicy beef burger
Sweet Chilli Chicken: True to it's name

We also had the Chips Share Platter, and the Zucchini Chips stole the show. They were an absolute hit. MUST HAVE!!

The burgers themselves are so flavoursome that you want to go back for more.

Loved the place. It is my definite favourite!!

Love their burgers, but so disappointing after having to wait 40 minutes and the staff didn’t follow up my orders. Not going back for a long time for sure...

I often rate Grill’d a full five stars as it ticks all my boxes. Delicious vegan options that are clearly labeled so on the menu as well as friendly staff. What more could you want?

Loveeee this Grilled place. I love the setting here it's quite big and very warm and welcoming. It's nice how you can sit outside and have a view of everyone walk by. I always order the waghu wonder with sweet potato chips. It never dissapoints here it's all about consistency with these guys :).

I decided to use their online ordering system to see if it made any difference from ordering at the till. Verdict? Yes. The order was called out at exactly when I wanted to pick it up.

A big juicy burger and chunky chips for lunch. Can't go wrong. A bit expensive as a meal but great as a treat.

This was by far my favourite Grill'd. Such a beautiful layout and design. Staff here are so lovely and made us feel so comfortable. Love the addition of the bar with wines ect... Freshly made burgers were on point 👌

now this place knows what they are doing . very attentive staff, all tables cleared and cleaned quickly while people were queuing out the door. funny and friendly staff, there's a window which you can see the kitchen and the staff making food and they genuinely seemed happy and having a great time even though they were getting hammered with orders. burger was amazing, herbed mayo is what I love the most, must steal recipe hehehe
Dine And Dash
I ordered the sweet potato chips with chipotle mayo. The guy who served me wasn’t friendly or inviting. I found the chips to be undercooked, cold in the middle and crunchy on the outside. For $10 I was appalled. Won’t be coming back.

Situated in the heart of the shopping centre. This place doesn't go unnoticed and is very lively. They are serving some amazing burgers and at good price as well. We had Caesars palace which was surprisingly filling and good on the taste buds. Courteous staff but just that they are not serving sides with any of their dishes which is yeah a drawback for some. Otherwise a sweet place to visit

Delicious burgers just like all the other outlets! Lots of space to sit. Staff were friendly and meals came out relatively quick. Perfect before or after a movie.

I work in hospitality so I understand the pressures of being busy when understaffed, but I stood in front of the counter tonight for 3-4 minutes while a staff member ignored me. She was obviously at the end of her shift but it's nice to at least acknowledge a customer is waiting, and say someone will be with you soon. Told to wait in front of the counter. The lead/caller was literally screaming at her staff, very unprofessional. I felt I couldn't go up and ask if my order was ready because I would get yelled at also. When I received my food, my chips were cold and the burger was the worst I've eaten at any grill'd in Melbourne 😟 stale bun, cut with a thick top bun and teeny tiny base so that the sauce soaked through to my fingers. One small lettuce leaf, fairly burnt meat. I'd drive 20 minutes more to another grill'd next time, avoid Chadstone.

I know Grill’d is a burger place so call me weird but my favourite thing on the menu is their caesar salad. When I came to this branch for their caesar salad though, the bacon was charred and they were stingy with the lettuce. The egg also had a charred taste which led me to believe they did not clean their grill properly. The salad was also tossed together without much care. I’m hoping this was a bad day and not a standard. Also I am not loving the avocado chips which were bitter as they used unripe avocado and really strange. One should not be deep-frying avocado as it is meant to be healthy! In my defence my partner was the one who ordered it!

Nice burgers and chips that aren't to greasy and won't leave you feeling like you ate to much. They donate to charities and you can choose which one your money goes to. Lots of options on the menu and nice interior.

I loved Grill'd, but this place misses the mark by so far! The food is the same across all stores, so there are no issues there except for service here at Chadstone. Waiting in line for so long to order with only one on till. At least the girl on till was apologetic to having no chicken and no schnitzels (What? You guys have par levels and predictions for a reason). There was no greeting at all and I watched my food on the pass for more than 5mins before it was dropped off so average temperature by the time I got it. Overall just short staffed, but the blonde hair guy on floor did his best to check back and even offer menus to people being the only person on floor, he did his best. I wont be back for a while...

Walked out after waiting 10 minutes to be served by the 1 person taking orders, immediately after she picked up the ringing phone and asked me to wait to order. There were 6 people in the kitchen: 1 of them stacking sauce containers, all having a great time smiling and chatting. There were only a handful of other diners. Even McDonalds makes their customers feel a little more special.
Melbourne Food Man
Can't really review the food as all the stores follow the same requirements, however the service and wait time is pretty poor. Why have one person serving when there is a queue of 8 or more people with people that take 3-4 minutes to discuss what they want with the person serving, don't get me wrong people should really know by the time they are served what they are going to order, if a manager walking past sees this why can't they hop on another register to relieve the other queue? Takes longer to order a burger at this place than driving to chadstone and parking. Disappointed this has happened more than a few times.

The burger was good, cant complain about the food quality. Had summer sunset burger and their beef has that smoky taste and zucchini and sweet potato chips are good. The letdown was they ran out of chicken and egg that day, i dont know whether this has something to do with being a Good Friday.

The first time I've been to Chadstone SC and Grill'd was attracted by the label 'Healthy Burger'. I went on Wednesday so it was not busy and the atmosphere was pleasant to enjoy our lunch.
I ordered the Veggie Vitality which is new in the menu I think. My friend had the Summer sunset and she like d it but not special enough to recommend. My Veggie burger was full of fresh stuff however it would be excellent if we have some specific vegan dipping sauce for the burger. We also tried the combo 3 kinds of chips which was sweet potato, potato and zucchini. The chips totally was crunchy, brown and flavorful but oily which made we end up boringly to finish.
Overall, the burger was nice, the chips was fine I give 3 for it, the service was friendly, quick and willing to help.
I don't really recommend this spot for vegetarians and vegans however It would be extremely good to give it a go

Love Grill'd and am so glad they opened one at Chaddy. Been here heaps of times but they seem to mix their chips with a combination of fresh and old ones. Burgers are still great though.
VegoLover
Best vego burgers in Mel for sure, my fav is still the mushroom burger. You can also ask them to remove or change any ingredients. Initially the mushroom wasn't cooked long enough and cheese was still cold. They replaced it with a perfect burger.
The new avo chips are interesting. The batter is quite hard with quinoa and really filling.
Great atmosphere and a huge place inside. Located outside the shopping Centre.

A cheeky lunch at the recently opened Grill'd at Chadstone. Some sweet potato chips and some very overpriced onion rings (8 slices of onion)! A great beef and chicken burger both of which names escape me as there were too many to choose from. Good burgers and a nice chilled atmosphere.

Got the Shepherd's Delights on a gf bun with avo chips and a kombucha. Delicious chips, nothing like what I expected (but in a good way). Love that Grill'd now stock Remedy kombucha (my favourite brand). Best gf bun I've ever tasted and texture wise as well. Knocked down half a point because they don't stock the hibiscus flavour (what I originally wanted) and the burger was a little flat for what I was expecting so some more filling would've been nice. Best lamb burger out there though 👏🏻
The Happy Food Lover
For lunch today, I got the 'baa baa' burger with pineapple, and my boyfriend got the mustard and pickled burger, and we shared sweet potato fries.

My burger was really good overall! The lamb patty was cooked well, and I found that the pineapple added more flavour to the burger. I personally would have added more avocado, but it was stil pretty good. The sweet potato fries were really nice, especially with the sweet chilli mayo. Unfortunately, most of the fries were burnt.

I'll admit, this Grill'd has the best atmosphere I've ever been to compared to other Grill'd restaurants. The price of the meals are a slightly expensive, but for yhe the quality you get, it is worth it. The service was really polite and nice. I was surprised that one of the waitresses did ask how our meals were. I was surprised only because I haven't been to a Grill'd restaurant who asked a customer how their meals are!

Overall, lunch today was really good with lovely service. It would be rated higher if the sweet potato fries were not burnt at all.
Flaming Goose70
Friday dinner at Grill'd Chadstone and the place was oozing a great vibe. Massive delicious burgers which were very filling, however the chicken salad was all lettuce with nothing much else. The side chips were very ordinary. So if you're after a burger experience this is the place to eat. 🍔
Yanny
Burgers are good, service a bit slow. You can tell the beef Patty is good quality just by the taste. A bit expensive though, and if you order a burger, that's all you'll get, no little extras or side included... Kind of stingy for the price we pay. Kids meal didn't offer choice of juice... It was apple juice for all kids meal only... A bit strange

This place is a great new addition to the centre. Although it's not in any fancy new part it takes over outside and it's got a great spot for a burger or drink.

Interior is huge - we came last weekend (only just saw its finally on here) and staff were so friendly and wanting to help. A few roaming with menus and ideas on what to order / behind the counter lovely staff too.

We had a schnitzel burger and it was really good. Fresh, hot and lots of sauce on there. Chips are always fresh here and the best thing if you're a drinker you can have a glass or bottle of Mumm outside in the sun or a beer - genius for night time.

The little croquettes were good too - the little one scoffed them!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday several weeks ago, perhaps the first week it opened. The crowds were huge, the line out the front door was long, but turn over is high and surprisingly we got a table soon enough. It's been a few years since I last had Grill'd and I was very impressed with the range of bun available and the various delicious burgers. However, the big hit has to be the avocado chips! What a novel idea! Delicious, without as much guilt! Overall, this new Grill'd has a great atmosphere - buzzing - and a somewhat spacious and open feel to it. Service is quick despite the crowds, which is a bonus.
