Really nice soups! Would be better if they gave a little more kimchi. The radish kimchi was delicious too. Would come again!!

Let’s Bap was one of the first Korean restaurants servicing the suburbs over 10 years ago.
Owners and cooks may have come and gone but it’s still the same experience.
What I love is the value – for around $13-15, you get a homely and hearty Korean meal, even with 1 or 2 side dishes.
It’s a minimal service – you grab a menu, order at the counter, and get your own utensils, water, and tissues.
* Kimchi Stew / Kimchi jjigae – I often think of kimchi jjigae as thin and acidic, but this version is incredible! It’s made with a base of pork broth, so you get the meatiness in the soup, and some pieces of pork. The kimchi adds more layer of flavour with its natural acidity and spice. Makes you wanna go back for more.
* Spicy Pork Bulgogi – decent slices of pork belly marinated in a spicy bulgogi sauce. I love how the flavour seeps into the bean shoots underneath which gets cooked slowly on the hot iron plate.
* Spring Onion Pancake – Has a good thickness, and is crispy enough (I prefer it super crispy). Great with the light soy dipping sauce.
As it has been from day 1, the extractors could do with a bit more power, because it can get pretty “aromatic” from the open kitchen. Even if the door is left open, it can get chilly on cold days.
My go to Korean restaurant! My favourite dishes are the Kim chi fried rice and the cheese tteokbokk! Both are very filling and very delicious! Price for the dishes are also very reasonable.
Let’s Bab is an excellent, no frill establishment serving very tasty Korean food. I used to frequent it back when I was a poor uni student and I still come to dine here whenever I happen to be in the area and crave some hearty Korean cuisine. The kimchi soup with pork is delicious. A perfect winter warmer. I also love the Tok Bokki; spicy rice cake with vegetables. You can get a good feed for under $15 easily here.
Nice, quick and (relatively) cheap Korean meal. Their Bibimbap is one of the tastiest around. If you order a set meal it usually comes with a side of agedashi tofu which is nice. Try their Samgye-tang to warm up your winter.

But it wasn’t a good day , sadly my sundub wasn’t tasty as usual.
Soup tasted water and spice, not flavour... maybe chef forgo to add stock.. so I added soy sauce and it was okay.

The service is good for a casual place. Food is great and very affordable. Been a few times and will be back for more. Very cheap so expect what you pay for. Only negative is lack of drinking choices.
Prices don't compare to the taste of the food. Everything was very enjoyable. So much flavour! Will be bringing more people here for sure. If there is anything they can improve, it could be the table settings, but honestly didn't bother me.
I've been a consumer for Let's Bab for years now. They services are good. The food are the best! The portion+food quality with the genuine price makes the visit very worthy!

I've been here a few times. The cheesy chicken hot plate is yummy but if you're looking for something a bit healthier you can't go past the hotpot bimbimbap. I get it with chicken and it's a tasty, balanced dish. When I look around the restaurant, everyone's head is down, fully focussed on their food. I take that as a sign that food here is pretty decent. The only negative is parking isn't the best eith 2 options of 1/2 hour street parking or railway station parking.
Deeeelicious! We loved it! I hadn't been in years but its just as tasty! I especially love all the little sides you get with your meal! Would be better if it was all Korean tho. Your fried tofu is amazing and the complimentary tea is wonderful! Thankyou!

Delicious and cheap Korean food! Yummy bibimbap and miso soup came with it for free! I will however say the service is quite poor. Food came out quickly but no customer service or even a smile! But you get good food for the price!
Semi-cheap and cheerful. Been coming to this place on and off when I'm after some cheap(er) korean food. The stone pot bibimbap is my go to as well as the fried tofu! Don't except some mind blowing korean food when you come here though. The place could be a bit cleaner as well and don't forget to wipe down the tables yourself with tissues.
My addiction with the stone pot bibimbab started here, many years ago, and although it might not be the fanciest bibimbab ever, and the meat wasn't as good as kimchi hut this time around...the flavor was still delicious.
I mean $13 for a giant bowl and some sides? How can that be bad? I still love the fried tofu, but I'll admit, the half lump of potato next to it did look a pretty sad.

This place is decent. The kimchi stew lacked a little flavour, the portion sizes were a bit too small?
However, the sweet chilli chicken was really nice and portion for seaweed salad was bigger than i expected for its price.
Used to come to this restaurant often. Decided to come here again for dinner. They serve quite cheap but yummy Korean food. Taste wise is somehow a little different to how it used to be, but it is still quite tasty. When busy, it can be a little difficult to get seats.
Consistent quality since my first visit a few years ago! My favourite dish is the beef bulgogi - nicely marinated and comes out sizzling all the time. The servings are really generous, and I love the side condiments, especially the fried tofu. Food is served very quickly too. Good Korean food in the burbs'

After reading The Whippeteers review, we headed to this place expecting to have great food and it indeed didn't disappoint me. This place is the right choice to those who are looking for student pricing, generous serving size and delicious food. Loved the bibimbap and kimchi fried rice.
Bit dirty, bit shabby. Cheap eats for students.
BUT The Whippeteers have been coming here for years. We've had friends working here. Even been taught how to make the SECRET SAUCE for their Bi Bim Bap (lots of Sprite lemonade mixed with Korean chili bean paste etc. No Joke).
The prices have gone up, the portions smaller but we still love this place!
Our favorites include: stone bowl Bi Bim Bap. Octopus balls. Fried tofu.
My favourite restaurant in Caulfield. Prices are reasonable, service is good and food is yummy. My only complaint would be... maybe that they only accept cash which can be pretty inconvenient. I love the bimimbaps here and the soups are decent too. The all meat dishes are only so-so though. Like the ambience in the back of the restaurant.
I have been more engaged in physical activities lately, namely bodycombat classes all thanks to a friend's suggestion. This can be a rather strenuous exercise and one that I did struggle with initially. After a few classes, I my coordination skills and endurance had increased - makes me glow with pride when I more definition around my thighs and arms hehe.
Went with a group of 6 people on a monday night, wow its pretty packed of people. Its majnly for uni students who goes here because its actually really cheap for the quality and portion size. We w8 for 5 min to get a seat. Service was fast food was amazing. Every1 at the table enjoyed it. I ordered the crispy chicken wing and the sizziling beef. The beef was really tender and soft with jam pack of flavours.

No frills eatery with a mixed bag of d's. Delightful, delicious, sometimes disappointing, dainty dinners. It all comes down to what you order. The service can be uninterested, to the point where you think a smile would be illegal within the bounds of the eatery, but that's nothing new in a busy get-your-own-cutlery place designed for a high turn over at a low profit per capita. Some ingredients are fresh cooked and worthy of a second helping, whilst other ingredients can have that watery or packet like flavour. Gladly for most part it is the first.
I have the beef bulgogi which was fresh and sizzling, served on a hot plate, with an accompaniment of rice, fried agadashi tofu and miso broth. Perfect portions and very tasty. My partner had a sweet and sour pork which had nothing but bland dry pork, but still came with the side dishes that were , like mine, very tasty indeed. Our children also loved the takoyaki balls which were well cooked and some extra fried tofu with mayo sauce and seasoning. The sauces were what kicked the dishes into gear, something that brought the dishes together.
Would happily come in for a feed again, even if it does make me feel like I should be going to uni again.

This is cheap, tasty Korean food. I was very satisfied with the food here. Yes, it's kinda run down, service is non-existent and it's dingy BUT for an $11 meal, you can't expect fireworks I guess. Also, it was packed and we just managed to grab a table, so that tells you it must be pretty decent. If you want quick, cheap, tasty Korean's, then go here. If you want a nice, relaxing meal out, then definitely don't go here.
Great value for money. It boasts an extensive menu, and you can get yourself well-fed for a very cheap price. The sizzling plate dishes are perhaps among the most worth it, as you get a generous serve of rice, a mound of meat on a sizzling plate, miso soup and several side dishes for around $11-$13. Free tea too! It must be a godsend for the TAFE students nearby. Order and pay at the counter and collect your own cutlery and drinks, so definitely no frills with that sort of thing. The standard of the food has dropped in the last little while, but it's popularity hasn't faltered in the many years since I first went there.

Nice Korean restaurant. Favourite order of mine here is the seafood ramen. They also serve some Japanese snacks such as takoyaki. The service is efficient and the food is fresh and delicious. Recommended.

I echo the sentiments of the other reviewers that this is a simple and no nonsense place that serves up solid Korean food. This place has been around forever and the menus certainly show their age (laminate peeling from all edges of the menu). You can expect all the usual Korean items on the menu; pancakes, sizzling dishes, noodles, soup, bulgolgi and bimbimbap. You can't go wrong with whichever item you choose but the winners are the sizzling plates (pork, chicken or beef) and the bimbimbap. On this occasion we ordered the seafood pancake, seafood with tofu hotpot, soba noodles and the sizzling spicy pork with rice. Accompanied with each dish is the usual Korean side dishes although you need to separately request kimchi (free of charge) as this is not offered ordinarily. The dishes were all suitably tasty, nothing to rave on about but just consistent and hitting that bang for your buck. I think the disappointment was the seafood pancake which was quite 'doughy' in taste. A good place for a quick and cheap feed.
Simple and no fuss place for a quick bite of Korean food. The place is usually busy because it's just across holmesglen. I had the sundubujigae (korean spicy tofu soup) and it was very good and reasonably-priced. My sister also enjoyed her budae jigae (hot sausage stew). Good place for Korean if you're in the area.
Have tried their spicy chicken bbq, hot chicken, soon doo boo and bi bam bab. Their hot chicken is really nice. However, their soon doo boo came with only a few pieces of seafood. Wish they provide more rices.
Second time here, beef teriyaki and beef bulgogi seems to be average. However, the portions were reasonable.
Let's burp! Went only for their cheese and noodles rice cake. It's listed under appetizers/entrees but is a main quantity which can fill you up easily. Other food is nice too but I had been spoilt by this dish.

A busy place next to Holmesglen station that tends to get overly crowded. They serve up decent classic Korean dishes at incredible prices. A great place for a quick, cheap feed!
Seriously impressed with the food here! Let's Bab has been an institution here at Holmesglen for years, so my only regret is not trying it out sooner!
Anyway, the food is definitely good value. Really tasty, authentic Korean food that's super cheap too! I tried their chicken bento, which consisted of rice, spicy chicken do si rak and some vegetables, with miso soup and tofu. The tofu was lightly fried so it was crispy but retained its soft middle. It was so, so delicious! We also tried their 'tebasaki', or fried chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce. The chicken marinade was rich in spice, complementing the chicken well. The chilli sauce added a dash of sweetness, resulting in some seriously good chicken wings!
The cons of this place include being very crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a spot. Also, the place itself is a bit cramped, so you may get squished against people from other tables. It can also get quite loud!

Been here a few times and this place makes very good food and isnt expensive. Tonight i had the baby octopus and mixed vegetables which was very nice. Had a generous amount of baby octopus and other seafood, in fact i couldnt even finish the dish! My new favourite dish i think ive found. One tip on this place, dont come at a busy time (friday night etc) as this place gets smashed and their food quality tends to go down
My local Korean shop for the last 10 years. This place has always served delicious and authentic Korean dishes. The standard has dropped a bit over the years, but food is still good!
Cold weather is perfect for Korean food. Stews, hotpot, Korean BBQ, the whole lot! I started going to Let's Bab a few years back, when one of my friend that lives in the area took me. Quick and easy meal ! Pay upfront and self serve on cutlery and tea. The best Soon Doo Boo in town. Tried everywhere else but you cannot beat the Soon Doo Boo ( spicy seafood hotpot with rice and a few side dishes ) here and an affordable price of $11.
Let's Bab is a small restaurant integrated into a strip mall on Warrigal road. They server both Korean and Japanese dishes and are the best bang for your buck when it comes to quick meals and food in general.
It is always busy in there, I haven't been there and not had to wait for a table. All their dishes are prepared fresh and have a great authentic flavour to it. If you can't get a table they have take out as an option. The only downside to this place is that it is cash only.
Been a while since I've been in the area so decided to try an old favourite. Had the bimbimbap which was disappointing with soggy overcooked rice. I'll go for the kimchi stew next time. Overall though the place is value for money with it self serve utensils and tea. Place is cosy and gets busy so grab a table and then order what you want at the counter.

Hugh selection to choose from, value for money, this place is my regular quick fix. It can be so packed at meal time so I 'd rather come after lunch or early dinner. Food recommended, Soondubu (Tofu soup), Sweet chilli fried chicken, Kalbi stew, also fried tofu is really great..
Great for a fast cheap Korean feed. Love getting a bi bim bap from here, always hits the spot. The stews are good too but wish they would offer more side dishes. If you come here around dinner time on a weeknight, it will generally be packed, but don't worry the wait isn't too bad.
Great value. Love their fried chicken and kimchi broth with vegetable and pork set dinner. Ambience is not great but it's typical with these sorts of Asian eateries. Hey, who's complaining, it's great for a quick feed. Will be back again.
Nom nom nom. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here, and I go a lot! Cheap as chips, big servings, fresh and quickly served (~10 mins). My favourites are the seafood tempura udon and spicy pork bbq hotpot & rice which are both served bento-box style, so you get a small salad, kimchi and tofu alongside the main. It's always chockers, which hey, is a good sign! Those little tables that they've put 4 chairs around though... they clearly only sit 2; having said that, it's hilarious watching people practically sit on each other in an attempt to squeeze in. Not fancy by any means and don't hold your breath for amazing service (you have to get your own cutlery, cups and drinks anyway) - or a smile! - but it's yummy and very more ish. You'll be back for more.
Where else can you get a substantial tasty meal and drink for under $10? It is situated opposite Holmesglen Tafe and it is my theory that good cheap eats can always be found near universities and tafes. It's my go-to when I'm feeling hungry but broke.

Let's Bab ! Translated directly meaning 'Let's Rice' ! Cute. In need of a quick & hot lunch, my brothers and I popped into Let's Bab. Fast, delicious, generously sized meals at very affordable prices ! This is what I call value for money. Soon doo boo jjigae Hot boiling soon doo boo jiggae ! Was still boiling away as it arrived to our table, and I actually had to wait a few seconds so I could snap a photo. You can see here that in that time, my brother attacked the fried tofu. I do have to say, that tofu was hella delicious. Golden cubes of deep-fried tofu drizzled with terriyaki sauce and kewpie mayo. Seafood Ramen Instant ramen in a spicy seafood broth. My wife and I love this place. We visited the place again last week. It is normally very crowded with people. Why? It has good food and yet cheap price! If I am back in my uni days, I would be a frequent flyer to this joint. My favourite is the bibimbap (mix of assorted vegetables, beef and egg - comes with fried egg in normal bowl or raw egg in hot stone bowl which will get cooked once you mix everything together in the stone bowl). Caution - the stone bowl is very hot! So far all the different set meals we've tried are really good. The Korean meals here are very authentic. Like most cheap joints, you'll be expected to pay at the cashier and get your own utensils and free water/tea. There are other cold beverages for purchase if one prefers.

We were deciding on a good place to eat and we decided to go in this one as this was the only one with with lots of people in it compared to all the resturant around. As we entered the place the atmosphere was filled with a beautiful korean aroma of all the traditional spices. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Most of all the food is super delicious after having the first bite it took us instantly back to korea .Each and every little ingredient on was dish was paid attention too while cooking hats off to the chef of this place we are definitely gonna be back love the food.and next time we will bring all our friends too . The meals came out quite quick . The prices are so reasonable and everything on the menu is quite self explanatory in case ur new to the korean food.This is a place which definitely has something for everyone. Must try this

If anyone is stuck for parking pls park in the parking lot near dan murphys and its a short walk from there as the parking in front of the resturant is only for 30 mins.
