Review Sumo Salad - Chadstone

Terrible experience! Ordered a Buddha Bowl and they didn't have the plant based schnitzel so they substituted with falafels. The beetroot was super dry and so was the cucumber. The avocado was hard as a rock and not even properly peeled. It was missing ingredients like cabbage and cashews and when I questioned it they said sorry we ran out after they gave me my salad. Didn't even tell me before hand! Terrible customer service and a rip off! Won't be going here again! And this is meant to be a large bowl.

A Flavor packed salad bowl! As we're on not-so-strict keto diet, we often ran out of idea on what to eat till we came across Sumo Salad and saw Keto Bowl on its menu. We were intrigued to try as the bowl seems huge in picture but hmm, a slight overpriced for what i get in a regular Southern Style Chicken salad ($11.95). The Keto Bowl is priced at $10.95. We both enjoyed our meal as it is full of flavor from cheese and bacon, but we need more than what we get at the price. Oh and one more, the poached eggs in Keto Bowl were in fact microwaved and cooked through. Will give it a try again if they increase their portion next time.

Soup was nice however was a bit disappointed when the staff told me he was going to reheat it up in the kitchen as the soup was not warm. Meaning they have to microwave it .Waited for awhile and out comes in a double Cup with spill over. soup was way too hot after the microwave to drink too.Would be better if soup was already prepared warm And nice for customers with a proper and neat presentation

Got the beef salad and chargrilled cauliflower salad. SO SALTY. My mouth was tingling from all the sodium after. Not good. Friendly service tho.

Food is nice and the customer service is really prompt. Also, everyone who has served me has been really friendly and willing to give me recommendations. Update: I came back here again and ordered a takeaway medium-sized salad trio combination. I got beef and feta, creamy chicken and pasta, and greens. The containers surprisingly fit a lot. Not bad, good size.

Ordered the salad and had to wait for for 15min with 4 staff and no other customers. Took 10min before they realised they hadn't made the order and called us to confirm what the order was. When eventually made it, added wrong protein, then forgot to put the salad dressing. Very disappointed with the experience, not going back to them.

I always go here as I work casual in the centre! However, in the last week the customer service has gotten seriously poor. The employees have no common sense. One girl served a couple every flavour of soup and while they were talking privately left me standing there without service for 10 minutes. I told her I know what I want so I’d be quick and then she purposely poured my soup extra slow despite the couple still not having decided what they want. An absolute bummer, plus her colleagues were standing around just chatting while I waited there without service. Give your employees proper training.

Just picked up 2 takeaway salads from Chadstone, one Teriyaki Salmon grain bowl and one Lamb and Haloumi grain bowl....got home to find a Pepper smoked Salmon salad and a Lamb and Haloumi green salad with so much dressing on it my husband couldn't eat it!! Too far to drive to take it back, very annoyed!!! Sort it out Sumo salad Chadstone!!!

$14.95 for Thai Beef Salad with extra beef and I get it home and most of the beef is fatty, crappy meat that is not eatable!!!! Absolutely terrible. Took photos as it was that bad. Couldn't eat it. Just thrown it in the bin.

Team, you need to change your email address from customerfirstsumosalad to customerlast. I have emailed you guys 7 days ago and not a single acknowledgement of my email. Can someone please spare a few mins of their busy schedule? Thanks Anuj

Awesome, first time trying sumo salad and will definitely be back! Even my 4yr old loved it!

Great place for healthy and delicious options. The salads are flavourful, but not my go-to options. I love the toasted sandwiches and the wraps. The veggie wraps and sandwiches are delicious and fresh. Staff was very nice and friendly.

This place has a nice variety of salads to choose from, the servings are generous and the salads are colourful and have nice flavour. They also do soup and I got a beef soup. It was a little salty for my liking but had a good consistency.

Seriously the salads here are so good it’s hard to believe that they are good for you! My favourite is the healthy Mexican, chock full of goodness and super tasty! I often get a medium salad to take away for a quick and healthy lunch for hubby and me at home.

I love Sumo Salad. The dishes are always so fresh and tasty. I love that there are vegan options available too. The Chadstone Sumo Salad is a little small, part of the food court, but always looks clean and welcoming!

This was our spot for lunch on a boxing day. Alot of healthy options and the large portion is quite filling too with the options of 3 different salad choices out of many.<br/>I got myself the pesto chicken with iron beef to keep it to a protein rich diet.<br/>It was a very satisfying meal, my only concern is its freshness on. A normal day as I turned away from it another day keeping that in mind. However my experience was very pleasant.

I love sumo salad , the food is always fresh and healthy at an affordable price . They also show calories and nutritional information which I like also . Sometimes they also do soup in the winter which is nice if you want a heartier meal. I do think the hot salads are a bit more of a hit and miss than the cold ones

A nice place to have a healthy food but in great taste. They offer a wide range of options both for vegan or not. I tried the power protein, and it was really good. The servings of regular and large is the same. Only the protein amount is more in large.

A good shopping centre lunch option, with either ready made or made fresh to order options. Warm Thai beef salad is a nice fresh option, and relatively reasonably priced for $11.95. Great for health conscious lunchers as Sumo Salad offer clear caloric intake figures.

My first tasting of Sumo Salad, will be trying them out more often. It’s a hearty meal and definitely a must try. I got the chicken salas, which I’m happy to note was halal, they have a halal certification and check with them for the halal options, since some of the chicken salads might have other stuff in them. I got a small portion which was a generous serving.

Years ago I had the Thai beef salad and it was lovely. Recently I went and ordered the same salad but it tasted... Average. I have to say it feels a bit odd to be munching cold refrigerated veggies while the meat is warm.

So many choices! We love a good salad bar. We had the pumpkin, spinach and ricotta tortellini & pesto chicken & avocado pasta salad. They were both quite good though the first was missing pine nuts. Creamy pasta salads I love. For $10 the serving was a bit small. Also I asked for 2/3 + 1/3 but I ended up with half of each pasta salad. Service was friendly though she didn't get the portions right.

Had the salad "grains and greens" after some shopping. The staff were friendly and the salad was clearly labeled as vegan which I appreciated.

Have you ever tried the freshly made salads at sumo salad? I think they are so much better than the ones in the window display. They taste a lot fresher
Cheeseburger Anyone? "Where's The Sauce"?
Overpriced? Yes! But i felt like a healthy option so decided to pay it..<br/><br/>Grilled chicken salad with avocado and light drizzle of mayo dressing. Why always scoop more lettuce and less chicken? Drives me nuts! <br/><br/>The salad was fresh and crisp and seemed clean and washed well. Chicken didnt taste processed which was good.<br/><br/>Overall i would of liked more chicken and less bitter capsicum and not half an iceberg lettuce .. <br/><br/>Its great that there is healthy options like this around though!!!

Shocking service. I never normally have anything negative to say about sumo salad outlets, I find it a great alternative to food on the run.. Until I visited the chadstone store today.. I ordered my salad and on paying for the food I asked the girl what' was the dressing in the salad, the second girl behind the counter glared at me like I was an idiot , after trying to make feel inadequate she continued to stare at me & give me filthy looks, I asked her what she was looking at , she said nothing to me instead just stared me up & down like I was an idiot for asking a basic question.... Rude immature staff should not be working in a customer facing indusrty... I won't return to that store..

Don't be fooled.... "The verdict:<br/>The Chicken Low GI Leafy salad is not truly low GI but low carbohydrate. This is a good example of how labels can be misleading – ‘low GI’ does not automatically mean ‘healthy’. In fact, search about on the internet a bit and you’ll find the Heart Foundation recently rated the Sumo Salad Chicken Low GI one of the three unhealthiest salads in Australia – mostly due to its saturated fat and salt content!"<br/><br/>Read more: http://foodwatch.com.au/reviews/item/product-review-sumosalad-a-healthy-fast-food-lunch-option.html#ixzz2gAGY22Wb
