Review Laurent - Chadstone

FOOD We ordered croissant and pan chocolate but they were almost empty. I didn’t appreciate. Nothing special. The donuts was nice. We ordered coffee and cappuccino but I don’t why I receive the coffee in a mug and cappuccino in a cup take away. LOCATION The location was nice but they put some staff ( a lots of tables and chairs ) on the side. It was no nice to see. SERVICE The staff was so nice. Absolutely I don’t suggest you and sure I won’t come back here!

The baked goods at Laurent are second to none, if you enter a store and see how busy it always is, that will attest to my conclusion as well. The citron tart is my favorite without a doubt, however you can't really go wrong whichever way you choose. I haven't dined in yet, only takeaway, the customer service has always been great. The staff do the best they can, even with a smile under pressures of the long queues. Great establishment.

A French inspired Patisserie with an amazing range of beautiful cakes and pastries. Located in Chadstone shopping centre. We had coffee which was served in beautiful cups that help make the coffee taste great. The cake we chose was beautifully made and decorated and tasted wonderful. Lots of space inside and some seating outside the shop. A great place to take a break from all the shopping at Chadstone.
Dr Eve's Health Emporium
Fantastic place for delicious food. Wonderfull croissants and swiss danish, pain au chocolat and variety of baguettes, sandwiches and pâtisserie. The large bowls of cappuccino and hot choccolat are simply devine and the best accompaniment to any of the delights you choose. The bread is also phenomenal-we loved sourdough baguette for smashed avo sandwich. We absolutely loved our time there. It is now our favourite place to go for delicious food at any time. Staff was fantastic with prompt service and speedy food preparation. The tortes are simply to die for...love this place and highly recommend it.

The products are good quality, but the pastries have been shrinking in size and increasing in price. Honestly, the cost of ingredients in a cafe is a minor % of the overall cost of running the business. A generosity of portion sizes will earn you more customers, with more loyalty and more revenue than anything you can possibly save by scrimping on a few cents less in ingredient costs

food was awesome, and there was quite variety of food item along with great range of coffee. Service was great, with super and very efficient staff. Value for money.

Freshly baked goods are to die for! I got to know about Laurent from their coles special chocolate tarts. Finally went to their bakery and had chocolate croissant , it was really good.

Plenty of room to sit during your shopping break. The staff and quality food won't disappoint you. Check them out if you haven't been there.

Always great pastries at Laurent. My go to for crossaint in the area. Classic done well!

Lovely, large and spacious venue with ample seating inside and outside.

As with the other locations I've been to, the Chai Latte is fantastic, very foamy on top and just sweet enough.
Evelyn Dempsey
Took a much needed break to enjoy some delicious sweets - my partner and I shared the escargot and a ham and cheese croissant. Perfectly flavoured and nice coffee too
Nicole Wamba
Thoroughly enjoyed my chocolate mousse cake and coffee eclair that I shared with my friend. Will be back for sure!

Finally got the chance to try the dessert cakes at Laurent after seeing them all over Instagram. They definitely satisfied my sweet tooth that's for sure!

There's a large variety of cakes on display which are immaculately presented and all look divine. We thoroughly enjoyed the two cakes we got. They were both very light, decadent and not overly sweet.

I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the mood for cake!

3.5 * I ordered the ham and cheese croissant to eat in and a coffee. Croissant is nice and served with a little side salad. Vibe is good and it’s always busy so we had to line up for a little while. I don’t really like the desserts though. I’ve tried four different ones and I haven’t been impressed by any. Stick to the breads and pastries when ordering here.

Pretty and cute place for afternoon tea. Lovely atmosphere where we can sit and enjoy your coffee and cake. Cakes are cute sizes and perfect to not over eat. Parents also loved new experiences. Definitely a place we would come back to have afternoon tea.

The mirror glaze and presentation of this raspberry mousse was beautiful...the taste was also nice, but I would have liked a stronger kick of raspberry...all in all I am quite satisfied :)
Srslyfoods
Love the pastries, the pies, the coffee, great services, and the avalability of the seats, so even there is a long line but the chance to get a seat is still high. The desserts were top notch.
The Roze Review
I’m so disappointed because I generally love Laurent and always order a coffee and a cheese and ham croissant. I wanted it toasted so was happy to wait until it was done but when I went to eat it, it was stone cold in the centre. By then I had already taken it away so I couldn’t get it re done. The coffee was good at least.
Rasita Ramsaran
When I proceeded to eat the cake (which is supposed to have a biscuit brownie base), I discovered that it did not have the brownie base. How do you forget something like this if it’s part of the recipe??
Denise
Delicious cafe for breakfast. Had the ham, cheese and tomato croissant - properly one of the best I’ve had! The apple turnover was also so good and the chocolate hazelnut cake had a mousse like texture and was divine. A very beautifully set up cafe!
Foodbaby
Amazing cakes look forward to coming back to try them all. Always busy even on weekdays! Rolls are average and overpriced you only really come here for the cakes

Pretty desserts and tasted amazing. Was busy and hard to find a seat which is a testament to how good this place is. I liked the macaron one better although both were good.
GoodFood4Me
A very busy cafe. The line went right out the door when I was there. The service at the register was excellent. I asked about an ingredient that I was anaphylactic to, and the lady took the time to check in the folder and show me. Table service was also good. Prices are always high at this cafe and the food was just ok. Three meals were ordered. The pie was tasty but the pastry was too buttery, more like shortcrust and the salad was very ordinary and was not eaten. The chicken and avocado was also ok. The chicken was saturated in too much mayonnaise. The beef and salad focaccia was warm in the outside and cold on the inside. I had to ask for more hot milk in a jug as the coffee level in my cup was way too low. Two large coffees and a chocolate milkshake were ordered along with the three meals totally $55. Expected better if we are going to pay this amount.
Sunny Days Melbourne
We always love their cakes and slices. The quality is very consistent and the variety of slices available can be mildly overwhelming.

My fave is the citrusy lemon tart. Sweet, sour and zingy lemon curd encased in a beautiful shortbread crust. Nothing is better than that.

This branch of Laurent is always busy so service does take a hit when this happens.
Y
Nice place for families and friends to enjoy coffee, tea, or some sweet or savoury goods.
The desserts looks beautiful, all displayed in front of you as you walk in.
Alfonso
A classy place for some classy Cake. The selection there are highly exquisite and is a great place for a nice sit down for some afternoon tea or for a take home cake.
Joy
I really like this place, especially the berry danish. The colours and decorations are quite nice. I will definitely recommend it to friends.

Laurent has always been our go to for birthday cakes or afternoon tea.

The service is usually ok however after this afternoon's experience I'm not so sure we'll be back in a hurry.

My wife placed our order of pastries and coffee and returned to our table. We were at Laurent with our family.

After about 20mins of waiting my wife noted that a waiter was walking around with pastries similar to our order. After observing the waiter walk across the room for the seconf time, as the waiter came passed our table my wife raised her hand and indicated that he may have our order. The waiter in a condescending and rude tone looked at my wife and then said "uh no actually this is definitely not your order! This is for someone else". After walking around he came back to us and asked us for the receipt and then said "OK this is your order" and put our pastries down.

I asked him to apologise to my wife for his rudeness to which he said "nah not my fault the table numbers were incorrect" and walked off smiling.

I was about to make my way to the counter and complain but my wife asked that I let it slide.

This wasn't helped by the waitress who brought our 4 coffees placed them down without letting us know what was what probably because she was forced to serve us due to the previous servers poor customer service skills who was no avoiding our side of the room.

We had our coffees grabbed our pastries and walked out. Disappointing.

Rating out of 5 (5 being the highest):
Food – 3
Ambience – 3 (Recently renovated and very good)
Presentation – 3
Service – 0
Environment – 3

Nice and elegant. Good looking and delicious foods. Friendly staff and joyful ambience. Nearly every time have a cake and some drink there if shopping at chadstone

Beautiful raspberry tart & great presentation. Tasted delicious when warmed. The tart is buttery while the custard is not too sweet.

Laurent never disappoints. When is it going to open a branch in the west though?!
㊙️ The Traveling Foodie
Always being a classic . A bit on the expensive side of town. Ample seating out and in.

Pastries are the main focus.. and deserts but Melbourne has seen a lot of top desert places in recent years.

Good that quality is well maintained ... coffee is above average ..

Still an old favorite but time for a refresh.
HungrySquirrel
I especially love the almond croissant and chicken foccacia from this place. The coffee and selection of cakes are good too. My only complaint is the noise level, which is usually pretty loud (especially when they are packed).
Rram31
So I went to Laurent bakery at 9am in the morning and I ordered the berry Danish pastry and there was a baby cockroach embedded in the custard cream of the danish. Please zoom in to have a proper look at the insect because from afar you may mistake it for a raspberry seed. This infuriated me because it shows a lack of proper hygiene standards, especially given that Laurent is supposed to be a high end bakery. I will never buy another danish or any food item from here ever again.
Levina
This is my go-to cafe for a quick brunch, light lunch, or a quick pre-movie coffee and cake. I’ve tried almost all of their desserts and my absolute favourite is the Raspberry Frangipani. Its light, crumbly base, smooth custard filling, topped with fragrant fresh raspberries is simple decadent.

For an easy meal, I highly recommend their spinach and ricotta quiche. So light yet filling at the same time.
Stelly
I’ve only ever bought cakes for takeaway from Laurent, but never really dined in. On this occasion, I tried the Rubis (white chocolate mousse, raspberry “cremeux” insert, lime & almond flourless sponge). Definitely recommend this one if you enjoy light and fruity, not too sweet desserts. The mousse was smooth and fluffy, and the raspberry insert was sweet, tart and delicious.

First of all, there is NO price on the menu.
I ordered a FRESH orange juice and it costs me $5.7.
It tasted exactly the same as the $3 1liter orange juice from Coles.
I asked the waitress and she said we don’t squeeze juice we just pull out from the big bottle.
And the castle cake is $9.10. It was not bad but definitely not worthy.
I won’t come again.

Sunday afternoon, the place is half full. It has taken me 12 min in the queue to order a coffee.
Sat down, the table was dirty from previous guests, asked the waiter for a rag to wipe it down, she brings it to me and hands it over so that I can wipe the table........ obviously totally inexperienced.
Not exactly what you would expect when you pay top money for the French experience.
Disappointing.
ChrisM
Lovely pastries and cakes. Coffees are not the best unfortunately. Seriously needs more staff on weekends. Queue is out the door and only 1 person taking orders.
Chester
Set in the busy Chadstone shopping centre, Laurent is a great place for shoppers to reenergise from hauling their loot and for husband/boyfriend minding when they need a break! With its stunning ambiance of a modern cafe, Laurent's signature menu items are it's Parisian pastries and bakery items that is set on display to allure hungry (and craving) customers. Laurent brings back memories of the bakeries in Paris.
Sinfully Delicious
While shopping at Chadstone today I thought I would try this place to escape the masses as it is hidden from the rest of the food areas of the mall. Sadly I was disappointed. This lamb sandwich and coffee set me back $20.45. They charge extra for dining in. The strong flat white was terrible and milky. The sandwich tasted better than it looks. They have a good range of sweet treats on display in the cabinet so I would only recommend that u stop here if ur looking for a sweet fix. There are so many better options available at Chadstone mall for coffee and lunch.
Vivian
Pricey Little cafe but serves up great cakes and my fave ever the mushroom croque monsier . This is my go to sandwich at any Laurent ! We always head here when we are craving a nice sit down snack
SeriousFoodie
I order cakes from Laurent all the time. this is my go to place. I have ordered cakes for birthdays, parties, work functions, presents... very nice cakes.
Gourmet Explorer
This review is only for the desert in Laurent. This chocolate cake has strong chocolate taste and very smooth. The hazelnut on top of it add some extra points to it.
Willtravelforfood17
The queue here on weekends is pretty long and you have to seat yourself and queue to order. The person at the table next to us ordered a drink and the waitress brought her the wrong order. The waitress also brought me the wrong juice. The desserts are very pretty and taste good but are also expensive and small. I would have preferred more lemon curd in my lemon meringue tart but the pastry was buttery and nice. The coffee was average.
The Spice Adventuress
A great choice for baked treats, fresh bread, pastries, cakes and coffee while shopping at Chadstone. Special mention to the salmon quiche and the cappuccino.
Veena Balakrishnan
I went for breakfast, the food was amazing and hey have huge collections of pastries to munch.
The only thing is that they had pre made breakfast which wasn’t that much of variety.
Bun's Food Diaries
Grabbed a hot chocolate, chai latte, castel cake and black forest cake after dinner. It looked like a great place to sit and chat as it was so spacious inside. Staff were polite in taking order and delivering food. The castel cake had a nice crumbly texture while the black forest was your ordinary mousse cake. I like how they have mini versions of their large cakes so you can try before you buy. Both drinks can be described as 'gentle', which I am fine with as I prefer lighter flavours but could be considered not enough by others.

This place is incredible! Went here for brunch and got coffees, an escargot and an apple filled croissant.
It did take a few minutes standing in line to order, but once seated the coffee and food came out very quick and tasted amazing. Awesome atmosphere and great staff.
I will definitely be going back next time I’m at Chadstone!
Alyssa Borr
Pretty and delicious pastries, yummy hot chocolate and coffee; this cafe is one to eat at! The scenery is great, new seating arrangement is nice, staff are good. The drinks are at standard price, but the food is pricy, spent $50 for a meal. Overall, we would come back again. 👍
Leon
One criticism for new Laurent Chadstone - not much to choose from sandwiches in the morning.
You've made the store larger and choice smaller.
if you open at 9.30 you should be fully ready at 9.30. And cosistency lacking sometimes you get marshmallow with babychino and sometimes not.
Julia.eats
A cafe hidden away in a corner of Chadstone. The cappuccino was surprisingly nice, and the tart and cake were delicious as well. The only thing is that there are only so many seats within the place, and it’s often busy and crowded.
Kellykle66
Food and coffee was good but customer service was horrible!!!!! Employee was very rude, I just wanted to confirm with her which bread I wanted by pointing and she gave me a look for that!!!!!!!!!
One time I went here, they brought my coffee and almost 30 minutes later, they finally brought out my food (which was only a pre-made sandwich that needed to be toasted) and they only brought it out after I had came up to counter asking for how long until my food was ready. My assumption is that they had forgotten about my food.
Overall, great food but GET NEW EMPLOYEES PLS
H&J0329
Good place for catch up and afternoon tea. The cake was nice and not too sweet. But it was too busy on the weekend, they forgot my coffee 😥
Split The Bill
Great place for a coffee and treat catch up with friends. I had a cappuccino and a pear tart. The pear tart was presented beautifully and the pantry crust was good and thick.

Log cakes are so rare in Melbourne.... what is Christmas without a log cake? Laurent does them so well, with so many different flavors, you are spoilt for choice. We went for vanilla this time. Sponge & cream was really light, yum!
MF
Service was bad as we sat near customer that knw the waitress there so they sat together and chat and joked loudly which really unproffesional and inappropriate.
Emily
While pricy, Laurent always delivers top quality cakes. Their drinks are a bit of a let down - received a hot chocolate in a latte glass and a latte in a mug which was odd. Hot chocolate was like hot water.
Ling Yap
The Chaux pecan is presented well in a puff topped with a carved shaved choc and filled with pecan hazelnut cream. Yum! The flat white is ok...Not hot enough for a cuppa. Overall costs $10.35.
Cookielessvee
Well designed cake. Cake is rich and overpowering that a slice will be enough. The hazelnut pieces compliment the pastry and chocolate in so that makes it not too sweet.
Joshua Wallace
Visited this place for the first time early in the morning and it was still pretty busy, ordered a mocha and some savouries. Despite the slow service the food is worth the wait and the price tag (hefty, 8.50 per cake) if you can spare the time and the money
Dam Burger
Impressive cakes. Not table service need to order at counter so a little pedestrian and cheap in that regard considering the prices of the cakes. But very yum cakes and service from people who bring the cakes out tot the table was very pleasant!
Thekarinart
Laurent provides one of the best pastries, cakes and bakery in Melbourne - world! Love their cake signatures, yet the prices are fair enough for the high quality standards. Stay awesome, Laurent! J'adore!!

Very busy, located just outside DJs. Coffee was pleasant, enjoyed with a coffee eclair, + a takeaway Choc eclair, both very nice. Nice selection of sweets, will go again.
Nadia
Very bad coffee. First time I tried just a cappuccino which was basically milk. Today decided to get a strong cappuccino... well Vegemite tastes sweet after this coffee! It's very bitter and it was super hot that I actually burnt my tongue
Very disappointing

Ordered some lovely looking cakes here after a shopping trip, can be tricky finding a table here at times as it seems to be quite popular even with its late 90's decor. Cakes were tasty and rich and the coffee was nice and robust. Price is on the higher side of cafe's in Chadstone
Miss Sage Sugar
We both ordered some gorgeous cakes. I chose the ‘Charlotte Aux Fraises - vanilla sponge with strawberry mousse, rhubarb compote, and strawberry jelly ($8.65)’. Hidden inside this beautiful cake was a scrumptious centre of rosy mousse and rhubarb. I absolutely adored this creation…
Eat And Be Merry Crew
We tried two cakes. The chocolate mousse cake was easily the best. This was a simple chocolate cake - just chocolate on chocolate - but it was beautifully rich, smooth and not overly sweet. We loved the creamy mousse-y cake, the ribbon of chocolate that surrounded the cake and the crunchy meringue batons on top. Simply sublime.

I always think unless you go to a food court, having meal in the shopping centre is a rip off, so better be prepared throwing out cash painfully if you’re too lazy to walk to another end of the mall. This happened to me. After hours of non stop Christmas shopping (mostly window shopping so don’t panic hubby), I was starving! As a sweet tooth plus small lunch eater, I don’t want to walk all the way to the food court but just wanted to sit down and have some chai with a bit sweets.

A good place to waiting friends and kids love their cakes. Also a good shop to purchase a birthday cake. Coffee is good, but need to have water by ourselves.

Table for one - a term I have familiarized myself with these days and one that I find much enjoyment in for catching up on my reading. Laurent boulangerie has been around Melbourne since my first visit here 6 years ago and probably had expanded itself since then. Service is efficient and friendly, seating aplenty especially after the lunch rush hour. Too many tempting items on display, ranging from sweet cakes to slices of sandwiches filled with an assortment of meat and vegetables.
John.lewis
Avoid. Waited ages for a roast lamb focaccia. Overlooked and burnt when it arrived. Coffee was very good, but $17.50 for a pretty poor snack meal is too expensive.
Mi55Bee
They can get really packed most of the time due to tiring shoppers but its actually not a bad place for a small sandwich and coffee. I wouldnt go for the wait if you are in a hurry but certainly a worthy cafe
Lucas Murtagh
I was enjoying the foccacia until the HAIR! A long hair was in the middle of the roast vegetable foccacia. Put an immediate halt to the enjoyment.
Nikki
Sooo disappointing in taste, presentation would get a ten out of ten and you could not fault it but what happened to the good old days when taste was important?!?! The problem with a dessert looking so god damn pretty is maybe I got a higher expectation than mums pavlova that looks messy but knocks your socks off, I would personally save my money than go back again which is so disappointing because they are just so pretty!

4/5 Now that Chadstone has oodles of new places I have to admit I've never been here until today as was leaving through David Jones and thought mmmm croissants.

I got a few croissants, a chocolate one too and a coffee eclair and all were delicious. The coffee too was perfect and not burn your face hot; very good coffee.

For the price it's fairly exxy but I didn't like the ordering system as I was in line but others behind me were served first and it was pretty frustrating but when I was served the guy was friendly and smiling - very busy considering how many new spots are in the centre too.

I'll definitely be going to Toorak one close to home to get my croissant fix this week!

Every time I swing by to Chadstone, I always love to come by here and get my usual mocha. They also have a great assortment of cakes and other goodies which are delicious! Yet to try them all.
Freddie
I really like this place! It is quite expensive but they offer good quality products. Their cakes look amazing and are in my opinion worth the money. I have had the pies here before which were alright, I wouldn't go for them again. I recently had the salami baguette with mozarella and pesto, it was really tasty and I liked the quality of the mozarella used. The staff is friendly and professional. I will come back here again if I am shopping around David Jones. Ps: they sell amazing breads here too - be sure to pick one up to take home!
Olive&Merlot
When we came out from David jones .. We found this French patisserie next to it .Full buzzing cafe ..we thought to give it a try 😊. We took hot chocolate & cakes .... As a wonder, no place to sit in and around soo we took a take away .. We went to food court ... We tried them they were mind blowing 😇😍😋.
Couple of people asked about the cakes.. from where we bought them , as they looked beautiful and delicious 🍰.Dont miss it try this beautiful place but I feel 🤑 pricey.
Leanne Son
Not the best cakes but are quite good to a certain standard. However Very Very UNFRIENDLY staff which is very disappointing. Won't come again. they should teach them to smile
PurplePlum
Love their cakes and often order one if I have a special occasion such as a birthday. Service is a bit chaotic as you order at the counter and the shop isn't really set up to do this efficiently.
Mrs Lavender
Heard Laurent for a while, finally had a chance to visit chadston store , what's impressive was the cake & begets are really yum , what bothered me was the crowd and the noise. I guess it was a bit hard for the staffs to be friendly in the shopping center . Also there wasn't a clear price list& product name , every time I feel a bit stressed to queue and order. Probably i will visit other store if I want a relax coffee time .
Confessions Of A Foodie
Good cakes and coffee, but was a little too sweet for my taste. It's fairly expensive, but it's a good place to go, especially when you're tired after or during shopping
Aussie Nawaab
Laurent is a famous name in Melbourne that serves up a variety of stuff. However, it is a bit pricey for my liking. I picked up a few deserts to sample and found nothing mind blowing about them as some people claim. They were ordinary deserts done a bit differently. Whilst they are great to look at, I must admit that taste wise they were a bit of a miss for me personally. 2 of the 3 items that I tried failed to impress me. Too many flavors going on at one time which get a bit confusing. Very pricey and bit overrated.
David Weng Yew Wong
had coffee with almond croissant and my 5 year old had ham and cheese croissant with hot chocolate ... lovely meal ... but counter staff was unfriendly
Foodie
Average coffee , cakes look great but you can't get them fresh they taste like they have being sitting there for a while. Won't be visiting there again

The perfect lunch is brought to us 5 minutes after arrival. We chose chicken and leek pies, ham and cheese croissants and a baguette with salads were very nice all served with fresh greens and dressing. However, the pies were not as good as they used to be.
But, it was good service and a good space for a wheelchair which I'm in.
Great coffee and an okay iced chocolate not quite enough chocolate taste ,but also with a selection of cakes to die for.
Anyway enjoyable lunch

We stopped by Laurent for some coffees after shopping at Chadstone on Saturday afternoon.
Mj.yeoh88
Good pastry but surprisingly average coffee. Went there for coffee + cake. Had the Castel which was a hazelnut based pastry and tasted delicious. The coffee I ordered was a soy mocha and was quite disappointed by it. Tasted insipid and bitter. Barely just drinkable. Ive had much better soy mocha/coffee (without sugar) that tasted far richer. Surprising for an upscale cafe that can't get their coffee right.

$10 min eftpos. What kind of coffee shop has a $10 min to use EFTPOS. Business must be great... but no thanks, said I.

Worst customers service. I ordered coffe and got one cake to take home , while having my coffee l saw its best before date and it was tommorow's date . i went and asked the girl at counter how come you have best before date of tomm becoz i cant finish this cake by tomm . she said to me oh this is always like that but she refunded the money . 2 weeks later i went to laurent in camberwell , guess what their best before date was after 5 days ... so laurent in chadstone , they are hopeless. once more thing , one of their waitress dropped a fork and her hands were full so he decided to drag it with her foot until she entered kitchen.... grosssssss.. but never buy carrot walnut tea cake from them ,,, it taste bloody awful ,,, yuccckkkk
Esoteric
Overpriced and horrible. I ordered a babycino for my 2 year old and an iced chocolate for me. I waited about 15 minutes where i was observing all these coffees being made while staring at my iced chocolate and babycino just sitting there. When i walked up to the guy making the coffees i said i placed an order a while ago and he said it was coming soon?! Another 5 mins went by and when the drinks arrived the ice-cream had melted and it tasted just awful.
Please don't waste your money, the place is an insult to people's intellect and money being spent! Never going there again.
Zuna_ryuhaimeev
Rubis!. I bought Rubis and apricot and pistachio tart today. The tart did not look quite good because of the green colour of the pistachio (It's like looking at bleeding blueberries cake). The tart base was quite good, but overall it did not impress me for the price that I paid. However, I was impressed with Rubis, a marriage between white chocolate mousse and raspberry. It tasted really good! I recommend it :) Next time I want to try the sandwich or other gateau :)
Lucy
Delicious. They always have a wide range of croissants, burgers, sweets, anything french! The service could be better, but the food always has me coming back for more!
James.armstrong
Le disappointment. Coffee looks OK but average taste, my partner couldn't drink it.
The usual selection of food but not as fresh as it could be and the taste of the chicken roll was tired. Time to lift the game!
Nwity
Food always good and fresh but they're not afraid to charge for it! Service varies between lacklustre and awful. Coffee overly milky. "Fresh" orange juice was actually squeezed in the morning.
Tash
Great place! Came in on Friday night, ordered a late and a ham baguette. The service was fantastic. Very friendly staff which was nice after a long day of work. The coffee was amazing just perfect highly recommend
A.
Love Laurent's! By far the best place to eat at Chaddy. Have had everything from the ham & cheese croissants, chicken focaccia, a selection of meat-filled baguettes, croque Monsieur's, pies, lemon tarts & other small desserts. The coffee is alright but nothing great, would be a million times better if they used better coffee beans. Other than that the food is good and service is generally pretty quick and friendly.
Michelle
Desserts and drinks were okay... But just okay. My tea was the last item to come out - yes, after the coffees and iced chocolates. Too expensive for what I felt it should be worth. Won't be coming here again.
Daniel Goldenberg
Greate tarts. Already several times I bring "Rubis" or "Van Gogh" tarts to my wife instead flowers. Great look, amazing taste. She likes it and I am too. At list I can eat it. (I do not like to eat flowers)
Jenny
Horrible service. Distracted staff asked me to repeat my order 3 times but still got it wrong. Took her more than 5 mins to fix the order with a big attitude. Food and coffee were average, but given the price, it surely wasn't the dining experience I was expecting.
Emma Owain
Lovely food, but the service late night shopping on a Friday was awful. Rude and uninterested waitresses. Simple reheated vege tart took ages to arrive, and other tasks (eg cutlery stacking) completed before the tart was even removed from display. Water glasses were hot and still wet with dish washing water. And after all that the tart was cold almost all the way though! Not impressed especially given the extra price to 'dine' in.
Carlosjavier
Chicken foccacia is amazing but this clueless girl served me and took ages to put our order together; didn't know where anything was and I don't think she was even new.
SusieQ
Always good patisserie here. Coffee ok.
Ramieleatsshootsandleaves
Service was questionable. Coffee was average.
Tardar Sauce
Laurent do really nice salad baguette. Their coffee isn't great - strong soy latte's always seem like regular strength. Soy hot chocolate is ok. Is quite pricey considering the service & presentation of both the food/coffee (had half a sopping receipt stuck to the bottom of cup) and presentation of the store. The Toorak cafe is ok - although aircon is always 10 degrees cooler than it needs to be, so take a jacket!!
