This old place with new owners is now doing fish and chips like I remember as a kid growing up in the 80s. Crisp chips and the burger was exceptional. And the staff were engaging and friendly as well. A rare treat might become a more regular gig for our family.
New owners, the shop is spotless and the best fish and chips in the area. I love the homemade burgers, fresh fish and great quality fish and chips. Highly recommended to anyone dropping by the area. A big thumbs up 👍🏽
The Flakes are golden and crispy. Chips are great! We did phone order, after we picked up the food and drove back to home, the fish is still crispy. That is awesome!
Not too oily! The oil is a bit old so points off for that, as it made the food taste a little more like oil. However, the calamari was not overlooked, not rubbery, and the chips were light. Hamburger with the lot didn't fall apart, the onions were lovely, and the cheese was processed cheese but melted really well. The patty was not too shabby , had some good flavour. For reference we came in for a quick lunch on a weekday . Worth a try, hope the standard is kept up. Didn't have any fish but it looked freshly defrosted and not manky at all like in some places. Ultimately I love fresh fish and chips, but have only ever found that in williamstown.
We re-visited Chadstone Fish and Chips, and must say, the meal was much better prepared and in good time than our previous experience. (I think the Boss was there!!) Notwithstanding this - all was good. The batter was nice and light and the fish not over cooked. The fries were well done, a good golden brown and crispy.
By far the best steak sandwich with the lot Ive ever had!!!

Delicious. Authentic suburban fish and chip shop with great selection of fish (Whiting!) and huge, fresh, hand cut softly battered calamari. South Melbourne market dim sims! Souvlakis are Greek style and perfect, fast turnaround... Easy 5 out of 5!
Fantastic fish and chips. Flake battered freshly, it's nice and moist. Potato cakes are yummy! Good value meal packs. Great value for money!
The best hand made potato cake. Burgers are full of flavour. My fav is the flake, tasty, crispy and always a good serving.

They've been very good for some time but over the last few months they have actually improved. Hitting it out of the ball park if you like. The hand made potato cakes are the best I've ever had and the rest of the menu excellent. Chip quality is of a consistent high quality, better some days then others but nothing worth losing that 5th star over. Keep up the good work!
We moved to Chadstone almost 4 years ago and for that time, Chadstone Fish and Chips has been a family favourite. The pricing is reasonable, the quality of the food is always amazing and I can’t speak highly enough about the customer service. The staff here are all so friendly and helpful no matter how busy they are. Highly recommend!
