Review The Lucky Elephant Restaurant - Charleville

Late in Charleville after a long day and saw this place at 5 minutes before closing. The owner was no problem so we were happy. Best spicy noodle with egg and veges I've eaten in years and my friends massaman curry excellent. Super quick service, hearty serves and very reasonably priced. Lucky Charleville to have this place.

Found this excellent Thai restaurant and the food and service was very good. Vegetarian Spring Rolls (4 large) for entree, Green Curry with Tofu and the Sizzling Meat Platter for mains. Highly recommend a visit to this little gem in Charleville.

Unfortunately we were a little let down by the quality of the food here. We got take away honey chicken, spicy rice, satay skewers and coconut rice. The chicken was very dried out and the honey chicken was basically just batter.. Rice dishes weren’t too bad.

Got a takeaway from here tonight. Beautiful food, huge servings & a lovely young man behind the counter. Beef Thai fried rice, honey chicken & spring rolls 😋😋

We ordered a vegetarian red curry and Thai fried rice. Both were delicious and portion size was large. Ambience was not bad. Service was reasonably quick and was with a smile!

Highly recommend this restaurant- our motel suggested it and so glad they did! The portions are large and we took home leftovers. Had the yellow curry, chicken cashew stir fry and fried rice, all were very delicious! We’ve eaten a lot of Thai food over the years and we were very happy with our meals.

After a week in the outback eating at pubs and cooking on a camp stove, our night at the Lucky Elephant was even better than expected. While it was lovely to eat something other than pub food, it was also just lovely food. I would recommend anyone stop here on their trip through Charleville. We shared a main meal and had some entrees because the portions were so big and we couldn’t keep the leftovers.

Food was fantastic, easily the biggest servings I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant, couldn’t come close to finishing them. Very friendly and polite service. Meals weren’t served at the same time, all came out staggered but that wasn’t a big deal. And Friday night was super busy with lots of takeout slowing down our meals too. Overall we were very surprised and utterly pleased with the meals.
