Stopped in here with my partner & her cousin showing a city boy like me Charters towers. I really appreciate Australian history well worth a visit had a slice of their homemade caramel cheesecake yep it's really homemade and a coffee. Make sure you check out the gallery at the back of the arcade well worth a visit
Great place for a first timer ordering; awesome customer service and presentation of food. Plenty of table s in and out. It's. Suitable for immobility and seniors require use walking assistant aids.
Beautiful architecture made dining a pleasure. We sat outside the cafe itself so they're was no table service and no menus available at the table.
Pot of Tea (tea bags) was nice, but took some time to serve. The cakes were nice too and were served quickly. We'd finished the food before the drinks arrived.
The historic Charters Towers stock exchange is the must visit place at the top end of Gill St. This magnificent building was in a bad state of disrepair prior to 1970 but has been bought back to its former glory over the past few decades with a new glass roof fitted in the 70's for what I believe was about $100.000.00 at the time. The Stock Exchange cafe sells fine food and coffee at great prices. The staff are courteous and will to answer questions you may have.
Had a lovely catch up lunch with my sister and sat outside in the breeze way......it was nice to see some of the locals pass by and have a chat.......the food was great......totally enjoyed the country hospitality.
Wonderful home made pies and pastries. Nice coffee.
