Review Flower Child Chatswood - Chatswood

Tasty food. Good portion. Lovely decor. Friendly service. However the tables are tightly packed and prices on the slightly higher side. Would recommend the lamb, French toast, asparagus and prosciutto on croissant. Iced mocha nice but milkshake too sweet.

First time here. Strongly suggest to have a note book for their staff, ordered spicy mushroom burger and was served mushroom toast instead. The taste is good but just not I wanted. Also, I'm wondering what is the meaning of (3) beside hash brown? Assume that was 3 pics, as all other prices are without (), but I got only 2 pics here. Unfortunately, we don't have time to wait for replacement.

The place is inside the shopping centre which I wasn’t aware of, but if you get a seat inside the venue then it’s lovely. The breakfast was pretty good! I love that everything on the menu is a little bit different! Coffee was great too! My only criticisms would be; it’s quite pricey and It would be better if you could have a mimosa with breakfast at the weekends.

So yummy and delicious! The food looked amazing and tasted incredible too! We ordered the Hazelnut French Toast and the Miso Cured Salmon Toast. And it was scrumptious. Large portions and presented so beautifully!

Such a lovely cafe at Chatswood. The interior design is beautiful and atmosphere is great. Food is delicious and well presented. Service is quick and staffs are super nicely. It’s a busy cafe especially at weekends. So get there early to avoid the queue. Highly recommended.

🥑 miso cured salmon on toast 🥗 breakfast bowl 🍳 classic eggs & toast 🏠: @flowerchildcafe 📍: Chatswood, Sydney 📝: Visited the Westfield Chatswood branch of the famous Sydney brunch cafe, Flower Child. The interior design by Luchetti Krelle features hanging greenery and potted plants strewn throughout the space. It brings a warm and earthy atmosphere to the shopping centre. ❤️: Love a good old Cured Salmon and Avo on Toast, but what makes it special here is that the salmon is miso cured. The amount of avo on it was insane 🤣🤣, no complaints though coz we like it that way!

We visited flower child warringah branch last week and was so impressed with their French toast there that we came to Chatswood branch to just have it again. But the French toast here was not crispy on the outside as we especially requested. The sauce has changed to Nutella which somehow tasted a bit dry and bland compared to the toffee sauce in warringha branch. The chocolate hazelnut crumbles were also not as flavorful. ( BTW there was a review with similar comments by Maggie Jian recently). The serve of the ice cream topping here was also smaller. The croissant in the other dish was not warm and the texture was chewy but not fluffy inside and crispy outside as a freshly toasted croissant should be. However We enjoyed the perfect beef burger and chips. The coffees were also excellent. Overally the dishes were nicely presented. We live in the area and if they improve on their French toast and croissant , we’d be back more frequently. The service is friendly and setting is calm and relaxing.

Good coffee ☕️ Great serving size 🥘 and everything was done well on my brekky platter (I highly recommend).

Pairing goats curd with sausage for breakfast is a genius. Eggs were poached nicely and the salad was not too heavy or rich. My friend ordered the crispy salmon and the pomegranate grains salad was beautifully done. Highly recommend these 2 dishes. Although price isn’t really the friendliest, you do get a good serving size.

Love this cafe! Beautiful decor with greenery throughout, you certainly don’t feel like you’re in the middle of a shopping centre when you dine there.
Coffee was amazing (from The Grounds) and the food was beautiful inside and out.
Service was quick and efficient too.

Amazing dishes and beautiful cafe. Been here twice and the food always are above my expectations. Great presentation for the dishes with attentive service. The place is a little crammed and can get slightly noisy as it’s inside Westfield but worth going to. Usually there’s a wait time but since it is in Westfield you can entertain yourself until a table is free.

Pictured:
🌱 lamb bowl 🍲
☀️ Big breakfast

The big breakfast was filling with the chorizo having a deep flavour to it. The lamb bowl had a deliciously warm and fragrant lamb meat. Would recommend both dishes.

Tried the tiramisu waffles, bowl of fries and cappuccino.
All was great even though we had to wait a while for the table. Staff were nice and decor too. Good portion size for the price.
I would recommend and I would come :)

Yummy!!! And great coffee!

Nice food and nice vibe for breakfast and lunch. The wait can be long on the weekend and food wait can be longer. The staff are ok.

The place is very beautiful. However, the food is just fine.
I LUV BUBBLE TEA AND BTS!!!
The meals are amazing. Super decorative ,well served, great service and more! I 100/10 would reccomend and come again soon. #flowerchild

I visited this cafe for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. I ordered the Mushroom toast and it comprised of Shimeji and field mushrooms sauteed in truffle oil, edamame pea puree & kale chips served on grilled sourdough with a poached egg & ricotta whipped with honey and thyme.

It was a delicious and satisfying dish that I would be happy to eat again. The menu had the typical brunch dishes like French toast and several toast options and a few interesting burgers.

The cafe is located inside the Chatswood Westfield and I found it to be slightly strange to have brunch amidst the bustle of a shopping centre.

It’s a busy cafe with a persistent queue and we were politely asked to leave once we had finished eating. Whist I enjoyed the food, I would personally prefer to have brunch in a more relaxing environment.

Best service and staff, highly recommend the beef cheese burger!!! And has amazing coffee. However need to make the coffee more hot. Also has a nice atomosphere. !!

Apparently the cafe is inspired by the Grounds of Alexandria and (arguably) has better dishes than the actual cafe & potting shed. Very busy and pretty ambience in Westfield Chatswood - service does well to keep up with the rush. Delicious savoury dishes; all components of the crossaint worked rlly well together (subtle sweetness from the crispy crossaint, salty prosciutto, crunch asparagus and creamy egg benny). Roast beef was also done tender on a soft pillow of peas.
Super tasty food worth the hype
Cynthiaeats_
Stunning café interior which totally gave me The Grounds of Alexandria vibes. Food was definitely worth the travel and I particularly liked the selection of pastries I was lucky enough to taste. Sticky Chai Pannacotta was rich and had a lovely silkiness to it. I loved the presentation but thought that the pannacotta could have been a lot bigger. The 12 Hour Lamb Shoulder looked incredibly inviting on the plate. Well balanced flavours, lamb needed more moisture. Lastly, the prosciutto and asparagus solders was a simple but delicious dish. The croissant was buttery and flakey and altogether the flavour combination worked beautifully.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

My thanks to Flower Child Café for the invite.

This was such a charming place with beautiful decorations and a great atmosphere. The flowers everywhere definitely matched the name! Flower Child French Toast was larger than expected and very filling with a rich chocolate pecan topping. It honestly was a work of art that I almost didn't want to eat 😅😅 Banana mascarpone was light which paired well with the fluffy French toast without making it feel overwhelming. Fresh fruit on top completed a wonderful dish! Southern Fried Chicken Burger was large, crunchy and quite good as well!!
Latte Queen
Love this place, very aesthetically pleasing and delicious food. On weekends there can be a hefty wait time though, so the best time to go is on a weekday in my opinion. I also love their little takeaway coffee area, which is super convenient to just swing by!

This is a delayed blog post. I have walked past Flower Child Cafe a number of times while I've been shopping in Chatswood Westfield. I've always made a mental note to check it out as it looks like a mini oasis. The restaurant is caged in but you can see from the outside there's nice greenery and decore within.

I couldn’t fault this place. Cool vibe and friendly staff! I opted for the French Toast and it was a bundle of goodness! So much flavour and amazing taste. The Canadian mayple syrup gave it the authentic taste I was craving

My friend and I usually went out for breakfast on Sunday mornings. We decided to try this cafe after reading the reviews. We went in at 8am and were seated straight away and service was great (initially). I’ve ordered a mushroom toast whereas my friend ordered a vegan bowl. We also had a coffee each. Food was served promptly. My mushroom toast has 2 pieces of sourdough bread. Approximately 1/3 through the dish, I found a strand of hair and my friend and a lady dining from the next table told me to report it.
The staff insisted that the hair is from the mushrooms and just causally threw it away. There wasn’t an offer to replace the dish. My friend and the lady shook their heads when he’s left and said that he should have offered to replace it. We then requested the dish to be replaced. We’ve noticed that the replacement has only a piece of sourdough bread this time but didn’t provide any feedback.
When I went to pay for the meal, the same waiter insisted again that the strand of hair was from the mushrooms. I’ve responded that whilst I’ve seen dirt and mud from the mushrooms but aren’t aware that there are hairs in the mushrooms. Overall we were disappointed with the service as we felt that we shouldn’t need to request for replacement and should have be offered instead. I would have let it pass already and not write this review if they haven’t insisted that the strand of hair is from the mushrooms at payment.
We will not be back again and will not recommend this cafe. I’ve looked at the reviews again and saw that another lady has previously reported a piece of sharp plastic found in her 20 months’ old daughter’s bowl. I am concerned with the way the food are handled here.
Josie
Food is so so good! We got one savoury dish and one dessert to share - Brekkie bowl was a good way to start it off and the french toast(!) is a must try!! Only small hiccup is seating as they are obviously quite busy although the tables r too close to eachother
Wannabe Foodie
I have to say, I was a little disappointed with Flower Child. It’s so hyped up, but other than the decor, I wouldn’t call it remarkable. I ordered a falafel bowl and it came with only one falafel. The ingredients in the bowl were delicious on their own, but together, they didn’t make too much sense. The bowl was colourful but that’s all it had going for it.

However, the cold drip coffee was amazing.

Came here for my birthday breakfast and it was such an amazing treat! The interior is gorgeous but a little cramped. I ordered the 'strawberries & cream waffles' and they were probably the best waffles I've had. They describe it as: Belgium waffles with strawberry anglaise, strawberry jelly, fresh strawberries, smashed meringue & macadamias served with vanilla ice cream & Canadian maple syrup. It literally tastes like those cookies you get that you can dip into the strawberry cream. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth! My sister got the 'flower child trout toast' which is Beetroot cured ocean trout with soft boiled egg, avocado, compressed cucumber, dill chevre, target beets, beetroot hommus trout roe & puffed rice on activated charcoal sourdough lemon cheek. She really liked her meal. All the meals are presented so well this is a perfect place to get photos. Overall a really lovely cafe and highly recommend :) Was a perfect bday brekkie!

Food is great, well presented and worth the price
coffee is okay
a bit small for the environment, not really suitable for people with prams or babies
To be honest I struggle to see the hype with this place. I’ve been here a couple of times and ordered the lamb shoulder and the super bowl with them both being ok at best. Coffee was good but overall extremely overpriced and overhyped.
Emily
We ordered the lamb and cous cous, waffles, and açai bowl. The food is presented really nicely, and taste-wise was alright. The cafe seems to be a little overhyped and is known more for the aesthetics of the food presentation and interior rather than the actual taste or quality of the food, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However I feel like I expected a bit more considering the cost. A larger selection of hot foods would be favourable as well, rather than just the typical ‘health conscious’ foods like wraps and açai bowls.

I've only tried the fries and the lychee drink here so I can't really give this place more than a 3. I have gotten the lychee drink a few times because it is a refreshing treat. It's a very popular place in Chatswood so it is always busy.

The place is really pretty.
Stephanie Khoo
Kitchen is unflexible (as the waitress put it). Not allowed to swap the bacon for haloumi in the bacon and egg roll for dietary requirements - would instead cost an extra $4 to add haloumi and take out bacon which I thought was kind of ridiculous. Ended up ordering the granola which was okay. Coffee is probably the only thing I would go back for.
Strawberry_vee
Flower Child is a popular cafe situated in Chatswood Westfield. I ordered the Tasmanian crispy skin salmon and found the salmon to be kind of fishy... nevertheless it is a popular cafe so be prepared to wait.
Hannah
Beautiful breakfast & lunch spot with very instagram friendly food! Meals are generous and tasty, but the prices are quite high. Definitely worth checking out at least once
Yusuf Christian
I love the way they served the french toast and it taste really good with banana mascarpone and peanut butter on the side. It’s perfect!
But classic beef burger taste just okay.
Jennyabouttown
The decor feel like The Ground and I founded out later that Flower Child was inspired by The Ground.

Lots of people taking photos of the food and they do look good.

Ordered the crispy skin salmon with crocuses and it was great. Added textures of crunch in the form apples and walnut. A well balance dish.

My friends ordered the cheese burger and barramundi burger. Both were very good. The chips that went with it was crispy and perfectly accompanied the burger.

Definitely recommend it and will return again.

I’ve been twice to this beautiful cafe, and never got disappointed. My long black was exactly how I like it. The food was tasteful, colourful and well presented. Great job chefs. Service was excellent, and I didn’t wait long to get my food. A bit of Alexandria in Chatswood! Lovely! Keep up the good work.
Nupur Khurana
It's fine. The coffee is good and the food is good. The decor is good. Their french toast is quite good. But its way too expensive to make it your local.
Foodieperth
Loved the cocopop waffles here! The whole dish complemented itself, with the bready waffle, creamy icecream, sweet jelly and crunchy cocopops.
Alice
Not that much space but very special greenhouse-like decor 🍃🌿💐🌷🌻✨
Service not the most attentive but speed wise the food came out very fast. I find their pricing to be worth it because the portion is really filling.
Jen Yen
Ordered the açai bowl and tasted delicious! Wasn’t really a fan of the coconut they added on top but I guess that’s just comes down to personal preference.

Staff were efficient and accommodating, however the restaurant is extremely small and so crowded at all times of the day! It was quite difficult for my friend and I to converse as we could hear the loud, close conversations around us.

My friend also noted that she felt ill after her Tasmanian crispy skin salmon so perhaps it wasn’t fresh.
Cute cafe located inside chatswood westfields, a little hidden away, but not too difficult to find. Came here for brunch before work, there is a waiting list, especially on weekends, so be sure to get in quick! We waited about 20 minutes for a table for two.

They have a decent selection of items on their menu. We had the acai bowl and french toast. The acai was abit runny in texture - just needed to be thicker in consistency. But the fruits and toppings were fresh and very well presented. The french toast was very good! The fruits and the cream really balanced it out. Didn’t like how some of the sauce were spread on one side of the plate.. was abit difficult to scoop. Their prices are on the higher side of cafe food, especially for the acai bowl being $17.

Nonetheless, service was quick and friendly. They have a good selection of seating, and the cafe is in a little glass house within westfields.

A garden oasis in the middle of a shopping centre...that serves food? Welcome to Flower Child, a Victorian Conservatory styled cafe that's sure to create a memorable dining experience, even in a shopping centre!

Basically feels like the grounds but inside a Westfield! Really instagrammable interior and delicious food too so definitely makes for a winning combination.

This is a great place for brunch! Very delicious food!
Came on Sunday morning around 10:30 and waited for 10min.
Tables are very close to each other since the cafe is small.
Ordered French toast and it was great. I really loved the caramel butter.
The açai bowl was delicious too.
The chorizos in the big breakfast was so good!
Chattiebreakkieclub
Incredible service, had to wait 30 mins for a table but reasonable for a Sunday morning. .The food came within 10 minutes, looked amazing and tasted incredible. amazing staff
Luxx Food
Such a cute little hide out of a cafe. It feels like you entered an Alice and wonderland garden! Coffees good and food menu has variety, bit on a pricey side but as the same with all other cafes. Defiantly instagram friendly as everything is done so pretty!
Samer Khaled
I thought of trying their food but I got the wrong impression expensive prices food tasteless and unorganised place we will never go back again
Rebecca Guan
My first impression of flower child was its effort on the appearance of the place. It is very similar to vibes in “The Grounds of Alexandria”. Expect a waiting line during busier times such as the weekend. In regards to the menu, as a person with a preferred savoury breakfast the breakfast/brunch menu displayed a wider range of sweeter side which was a bit different. However, the coffee was great; a perfect smooth balance of coffee and milk. Overall the experience was good.
Thomas Mikhail
When I saw photos and the amount of followers this place had on instagram I was excited to eat here. My expectations were pretty high but when I finally got the chance to dine in, my stomach fell flat. The prices aren’t too bad but the food was rather disappointing. My lamb dish was cold and the chips weren’t amazing. The only highlights were the coffee and fancy plating.
Al&Val
Great little aesthetically-pleasing cafe. Staff were friendly and this place is always popular so it tends to attract many food Instagrammers. Overall, we experience some high-quality food that was very beautiful too eat (almost too beautiful to eat). However the food was a tad pricey (even for a standard Instagram-worthy cafe). Definitely recommend this place to go to if you've never been before but we won't be racing back any time soon.
Cecilia Van
I loved this cafe. I went there more than 10 times. It used to have very high rating in my heart. But it was sooo disappointing yesterday morning. I took my little baby there and we shared a poke bowl. My 20 months old daughter found out a piece of sharp plastic in the bowl! How scary was that. She was smart enough not to eat it. Although they made us a new bowl, I already lost my appetite. I couldn’t eat coz I was afraid I would choke by a piece of plastic. When I went to pay the bill, they offered me 10% off and hoped me to visit again. WTH?! I will never ever visit again and I will never ever recommend this cafe to any of my friends again!
Ankit Malik
Long wait for breakfast this morning .staff is polite. the food was superb . definitely cute and instagrammable Cafe. The coffee here is always consistently good the food is also tasty but the point of price it is slightly high.
Vanessa
Awesome and pretty food - love this place - it’s just so dayam busy! Usually have to line up and wait and then it can be really noisy in there - but staff are great and so is the food.
FluffyHamster
I was really looking forward to the food as it looked pretty and delicious in the pictures.
However dining experience was unpleasant. I must say that the food is overpriced for its quality. The food presentation is good but the recipe & food quality really need to be improved.
The food looked like the salad mix you could buy from coles or woolies. And in my eyes they were just simply mixed together.
The food tasted bland.I’m not sure if any dressing was added into our meals.
The good thing is their coffee. I will still be happy to buy takeaway coffee from this restaurant.

Today I went to the famous Flower Child café in Chatswood Westfield, located just about The District. I’ve walked past this place SO many times and it looks absolutely gorgeous from the outside, so I couldn’t wait to see the inside. The place isn’t very big, but it was super busy. I really enjoyed the environment and the cosiness of the place. How well designed is the interior? It’s like a scene from the secret garden, honestly.

I ordered a mocha and the Vegan bowl for myself (not something I’d usually get, but it was so colourful and aesthetic on Instagram that I just HAD to try it). My friend ordered the lychee and mint shake and the Prosciutto with the croissant.

I was super satisfied with the wait time; all the food and drink was delivered to us in around 5 minutes. Moreover, the presentation of the food was excellent. I found everything so nicely plated and there was nothing I could fault with. Having eaten breakfast less than 1 hour before this, I wasn’t super hungry, so there was food left over, which I just brought home in a takeaway box. I really enjoyed the falafel in the vegan bowl- a bit upset that there was only one though! ☹ The pumpkin dressing was spot-on and I really enjoyed the quinoa accompanying the rest of the salad. I tasted some of the prosciutto from my friend’s dish, which was finely sliced and the ideal amount of saltiness.

All in all, if you live in Sydney, you have to visit this cute café. Whilst it’s slightly more expensive than other cafes, it truly is worth that extra price!

If you want to have lunch here you should plan to go early unless you are happy to wait for a seat. This shows how popular this vibrant cafe can be. The overall experience here always delivers. The food is playful and worth the price tag which I'd say is good value. The coffee from The Grounds of Alexandria is always consistent. A definite fave in the melting pot of Chatswood.
Pinicolada
Overpriced for normal food. Slow service. Bookings essential which is weird considering I was here for weekday lunch. I ordered the coco pops waffle and the cheeseburger. The waffle is just the ones you get from the supermarket heated up placed on a bed of coco pops and a scoop of Coles branded ice cream on top. Shoestring fries were like the macca’s ones but not as good.
Rachel From @sydneyfoodfeels
Great atmosphere and friendly staff, I’m a regular of this cafe so tried a few of their dishes and every dish has been amazing. The only downside is the long wait time especially on weekends. Coffee is the best in Chatswood.
Robert Clarke
I go here frequently, it’s my go to cafe in Chatswood and hands down one of the best cafes on the North Shore.

The menu is full of fantastic options, I love the vegan bowl but the açai bowl, poke and burgers are all great.

Generally you have to reserve a place in advance for a booking (this takes 10-30 minutes and they call you when ready so you can go shopping in Westfield.

Definitely worth a visit!!
Rachael
Long wait for brunch this morning. Staff were polite but I think some looked a bit tired of the morning rush!
The food was superb. Bacon and egg burger had crispy bacon and luscious creamy eggs.
Waffles with crumbly coco pops, nuts and icecream at breakfast! Frankly it’s diabetes on a plate but once in a while such a treat.
The Nutella shake was great but after eating the waffles it didn’t even taste sweet anymore.
Lovely atmosphere.
Rachma Mctegg
I was too late to have breakfast menu as I really wanted to try their pretty french toast. They have what so called afternoon menu and it's available until 4pm. So i just ordered 3 cheese&truffle toasties, there truffle pate and some cheeses. And also ordered an iced latte, coffee was full bodied and strong. The cafe itself is in level 3 of Westfield Chatswood, located in the back took me couple of minutes before found it.
Sneha Shrestha
Have had this place on my list for quite a while and finally decided to check it out. This place is inside Westfield Chatswood and the decor is honestly so cute. It's decked out in floral, clearly inspired by the grounds of Alexandria and also serving the grounds coffee. Staff were very attentive and service was prompt. I ordered a cappuccino and the big breakfast which I could not fault. Really good coffee and such a delicious and filling brunch! Highly recommend this absolutely cute cafe!
Da Vid
Very busy little cafe so get there early. The staff were very friendly. So many delicious options available.

I ordered the big breakfast plate, definitely recommend.

After wanting to visit here for some time I finally did on a busy Tuesday morning. Securing a table inside was no problem surprisingly. It was a challenge trying to decide which of the beautiful dishes I was going to get but I settled for the French Toast and Nutella Shake. The French toast looked amazing like expected but I didn't quite enjoy it as much many other french toasts I have tried. The Nutella Shake was a let down as it didn't taste like much. Nonetheless, the cafe had a nice atmosphere and great service. Hopefully I will stop ordering French Toast everywhere I go.
William Webb
Long wait times, cramped seating, loud and bustling atmosphere. If only the cafe was outdoors perhaps most of the above wouldn't be an issue. Food does arrive quickly and the presentation is great however the quality of the actual meal leaves much to be desired. Pretty good coffee though so happy to do take away.
Kelly Nie
Great place for girls catch up. Staff are friendly. Food options were healthy and photogenic. It is normally very busy during weekend. If you don't want to wait too long, come during the week days.
Cool Beans Life
After seeing lots of amazing Instagram photos of this incredible place, we decided to check it out for ourselves on a Saturday morning. Chatswood is a 45 min from where we live but needless to say, the trip was worth it! We also got to get some shopping done because Flower Child Cafe is located inside Westfield – win-win!
Jenny Yang
Definitely a cute and instagrammable cafe. We had lunch here as a group of 3 on Easter Monday and had to wait half an hour for a table. Be careful of going too far while awaiting the table as we got there literally 2 minutes after receiving the text to be told that we got to the desk just in time as they were about to give the table to the next on the list! We were seated outside (still within Westfield) unfortunately as it was extremely busy. While the food was pretty and tasted great, service left a lot to be desired, thus the rating. It was very hard to get the waiters’ attention - we had to wait a while to order, and then it took a long time for another waiter to realise that we hadn’t been given any cutlery! The food is also on the pricier side. A nice place to check out for cute food, but probably not somewhere for regular visits.
Tanya
Came here by accident one day - we were walking past this lovely decorated cafe and saw the food being served from their kitchen (which is on the opposite side of the walkway in the shopping centre.) The food looked so pretty that I was intrigued to try it... I definitely did not regret it! Ambience would have been better if it was less crowded but other than the bustling vibes it gave the food looked beautiful and tasted delicious.
Sydgirl66
Luv luv luv this place. Fast fresh friendly and fantastic! The best French toast on the north shore! Not what you’d expect from a Westfield.
Will going back ASAP!
Xlittlecupcake
Apart from the 30min and staff incorrectly seating people before us, I cannot fault this place. This has to be one of the cutest and most aesthetic/instagrammable cafes in a Westfield and the food is fiyahhhhh 🔥🔥🔥🔥 definitely check it out if you’re looking for a nice brunch place :)
Haelynn H Kim
Great ambiance and friendly staff! It is often busy, but it is worth the wait. Great breakfast and lunch menus and an assortment of drinks and pastries.
Kristen Chan
A local favourite of mine. The coffee here is always consistently good and the food pretty. It also tastes pretty good though the price point is slightly high. Beautiful decor and the staff are always quite friendly
Eloise_rose93
Beautiful cafe with picturesque food. Very busy on a Sunday, but staff were very organised and arranged for a message to be sent to my phone as a table was ready. The food did not take long to arrive and the service was friendly and warm.
The açai bowls we ordered were some of the tastiest I have tried, beautifully presented. Perhaps too many almonds (used as garnish and also in the granola) but that’s just a personal preference. Also, very watery.
Overall, a lovely experience and I would recommend!
Tiffany
Everyone knows their food presentation looks good...the taste of its just an average, yet the coffee is good and staffs are well trained, friendly and efficient.
its a good place for coffee if happenes in the shopping mall
Lishuoyan0415
Worst experience ever. I don't mind the long waiting, but the service is quite terrible. They took my order wrong twice. We ordered two of the same drink, but we only got one. Also, while we ordered two different dishes, we got two of the same one. I had to sit there waiting for my order for a long time, but I got no apology and no explanation at all. The food is also quite mediocre.
Randi2042
Have visited several times, always happy with the good quality and beautiful presentation of food. Very popular place so be prepare for long queue, but they have a nice service that allow you to leave the phone number for contact when table is ready. So you can waiting while doing some more shopping around. If I have to say something that will be the space, a bit too close those table, maybe not a good choice if you want to have a quiet chat/catch-up with families or friends.
Nina Barlis
I always suggest this place for brunch, their food always comes out so tasty and I absolutely love their french toast. Definitely a myst try
C.L
Great place to have brunch with friends in Chatswood. It is easy to find this place, just located in Westfield and easily access from Victoria Ave.
Brunonono...
Besides the decor....

The lamb was basically stone cold and stringy....idk if the kitchen thinks it's pleasant to eat cold un-rendered fat but hey what do we know, the salad was just bits of greens thrown on the plate, undressed and unseasoned; no a jus is not for salad...give us pub style roast veges over these any day....please venture over to the Orchard for their Sunday roast :)

Breakfast Board? Idk looks like a plate to me...? Cool everything is fine....thank you for baking the bacon....it goes a long way! That or your masters of draining pan fried bacon...we can't decide as your lamb was cold, which begs the question if there's an oven back there?

We didn't get the fries but they looked very good...how about putting the lamb into the deep fryer?
Ali Lam
Heard about this place from all the hype, looked forward to sitting where all those flowers were but unfortunately it was too busy (on a weekend) and we were seated outside quite far away from the actual cafe down in the middle of the walking strip of westfield. This made it difficult to flag down waiters however the food tasted good and was fresh with a twist here and there. I'd say go here to try it out but maybe drop by on a weekday not during peak periods.
Food_Rampage_AM @INSTA
Like fitting a square peg into a round hole, the child of grounds kept to its flowery concept of having lots of greens in a small space at westfield chatty. Low hanging pots w overflowing tendrils in a small space does not an oasis make. The quandary of showing one’s butt or one’s frontal torso to one’s neighbouring table when taking or leaving your seats might be taken as an open invitation. To what, i leave that to your fertile n flowery (but grounded) imagination.

Vegan bowl 2.75/5, not the best veg bowls around but not bad. Looks pretty.
Barramundi burg 3/5, quite tasty but wee dry. The buns were at least a day’s old.
Scrambled eggs 3/5, came out looking underdone but actually was not. Ditched the sourdough in favour of toasted brown.
Berry banana smoothie 4.25/5, OMG one of the best smoothie i have had the pleasure of slurping. Perfect balance.

Prices aint cheap even for chatty, service quick despite the crowd.

Having a nice coffee break at cafe very nice coffee shop. Due to the change over from lunch to dinner service they apologised that there was nothing ready but we were happy just to have coffee

Flower child beguiled the senses, but it was to efficient to reconcile.

Hyped up by my partner, located in the quieter side of Westfield Chatswood, we got in quickly and efficiently albeit with a 15-minute wait which really became about 5. With decor meeting the nexus between civilisation and a 1930s greenhouse, it was a little busy at 11:30 but there was still enough distance between each table to be intimate. A very linear setup which appeals to those who like a clear structure, but the single lane in and out can be hazardous. The chair and bench are equally comfortable and alternating table designs add a bit of variety.

My partner ordered the granola and I the eggs Benedict. The granola included fresh fruit, with particularly outstanding caramelised banana. The granola-yoghurt ratio was lacking but extra yoghurt free of charge can be ordered. Perhaps a bit too much in all but depends on your mood. Complemented by a creamy chai latte, a very milky addition which worked well with the dish.

My eggs Benedict lacked the tangyness I like in hollandaise sauce but with cured trout and a croissant encased I can't complain. Knife and ford preferred. The long black was too hot and I had to wait well into my meal before it was alright enough to drink. Also a lot of it!

The lowest point out of all the highs was the service. Too efficient - there was no time to settle in and appreciate the atmosphere, and the food came too quickly. In fact, after ordering the granola, my partner was told they didn't have any left; but then immediately after, another server came with her order. Perhaps a mixup between waitstaff and kitchen. Either way, take your time here - it's worth it.

All in all, a great north shore cafe but as far as Sydney as a whole, it's only alright. Come here if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way.

Waited 30 mins for a table but it was worth it! Once we were seated we were served pretty quickly and the food came out at the same time. The Eggs Benedict was good but would have preferred the bread as ciabatta or sourdough as the croissant takes away from what’s great about an eggs bene which is the hollandaise! It felt like we were just having a bacon and egg croissant. The coffee was really smooth and had a great flavour!

We waited for 30 minutes to try this cafe out & wow... simply wow... it was definitely worth the wait.
Our order came out all at the same time and was well presented, but not only that, it was also reasonably priced.

The service was pleasant and the staff was accomodating. They took our orders and was quite friendly.

Would recommend this place.
Min spend for a group of four plus a baby would be $125

I came here twice, once with a friend and it was Sunday so it was little busy. We had to wait for 30 min to go and set. I ordered french toast, I really liked it was worth the waiting time.

The second time with my sister and it was in weekdays but unfortunately this time we had to wait until 5:30 to order the food 😅😂 my sister loved the french toast and I ordered waffles which l can say that it was O.K ❤️

Good Place; coffee is nice and the cafe itself is gorgeous. However, nothing in particular stands out and prices tend to be on the higher side

Went for brunch with friends, nothing too exciting. Coffee is average. I ordered fruit salad. The presentation was good but the strawberries are not very fresh. Had a taste of friend's French Toast, the bread was soft and delicious. Maybe next time i will coming to try the french toast.

The Flower Child was an amazing experience ❤️ Located in the corner of the large Westfield in Chatswood it was already bustling with lively action!

• I ordered the Veggie Bowl and it was a refreshing spoonful. The falafel is extremely wonderful - it could be finished within a few bites because of how small and yummy it was.
• My friend ordered the barramundi burger (courtesy of her photography) which was dressed with sriracha sauce and it was delicious. It also came with fries. The batter was crispy and the bun was soft and fluffy.
• Service was quick and our food came out in no time. It was extremely fast + aesthetic
• The waiters are extremely nice and friendly ☺️
Would come back here again !

Lovely pretty place for brunch with friends. It gets pretty busy even during the week so arrive early and be prepared for a wait..

I had their vegan bowl - filling and tasty. Full of spinach, quinoa, pumpkin, avocado, the lot!

My friend had the eggs Benedict's and the portion size was on the smaller side for her.

Always a pleasure and will be back again soon!

I love this cafe’s acai bowls so much. They are delicious and every time I have had them they have been delicious. They never let me down. I wish they had more seating space however as I always have to wait in a long line to get a seat.

I absolutely LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Flower child. It's No.1 for all the cafes I've had brunch at. Their eggs benedict is to die for! The place is super aesthetically pleasing. The only downside is the wait, but if you get there early enough it doesn't become a problem.

A beautiful cafe that I'd definitely return to ! I can understand the hype about this place, because the service is AMAZING 😍 and the wait staff are so friendly ! You get the option to sit inside or out, but I recommend inside for the eccentric atmosphere and view ☺️

• barramundi burger: I don't order burgers a lot but I REALLY ENJOYED IT ☺️ the fish was really crispy and the meal was really filling !!

• vegan bowl: everything on the plate worked really well together, my friend said the falafel was the best thing on the plate 👌🏻 it was a good clean eat ☺️

went for brunch and only waited 5mins for a table; i ordered an acai bowl and a mocha and my friend wanted the waffles but they were out so she ended up ordering the french toast. the coffee came quickly and so did the food, the serving sizes were adequate. the atmosphere of the cafe was light and the sunlight through the windows provided good lighting. the acai tasted really good and i enjoyed the caramel sauce on the side of the french toast.
