Driving through unfamiliar surrounds on the way up north, we happened past Raffi’s and stopped for a coffee. After seeing all the delicacies in the cold cabinet, we ended up staying for a bite to eat. Service is leisurely, the coffee is strong and the food is tasty and presented nicely.
Accidentally discovered this place. The ambience is very rustic, service is prompt.Tried the turkish coffee along with haloumi wrap and falafel wraps.Good place to have a quick bite.
Raffi has put his heart and soul into his amazing restaurant. Everything in the store is handcrafted by him and all of his dishes are created to perfection 👌🏽
Raffi warmly welcomed me into his restaurant and created myself and my 3 friends a three course banquet. 😮 It was to die for & bursting with flavour!! His food is created with so much passion and attention to detail.
You can truly taste the love he puts into his food.
The place serves awesome food. The service is humble and the place itself looks beautiful. In short words a must place to visit for yummy food
So pleased with the food, people and environment created here! Great service with the food being served quickly, whilst still delivering taste! Would recommend to anyone who is looking a local cafe that has good service and food!
Fun Persian-Turkish fusion breakfast and lunch spot- would love to come back for dinner. The Sufuk (Turkish sausage) was excellent, and the pomegranate juice is excellent!!!
Perfect blend of modern food with lovely flavours and amazing ambience. The place was super cool. In love with the ambience. Perfectly decorated every corner. We were there for breakfast over a weekend. Ordered for a vegetarian platter and mushroom with haulomi sandwich. Both of them were scrumptious.

Located on the quiet end of vict ave @corner of penshurst st, raffi may not get the same exposure as other food establishments on the retail side of chatswood. Shame really. If our breaky experience here is anything to go by, we would return to try their other offerings either @lunch or dinner.
As ones who are unfamiliar with turkish armenian food, we approached this with an open mind. Turned out that it was hardly needed. You know it when you stumble on something good.
Must try! Vegetarian breaky 4/5 consisted of grilled mushrooms, tossed spinach, onion, poached eggs, on feta pancake with eggplant dip. Each element was cooked without fault, ermmm the feta pancake 'might' hv been prepared beforehand (not sure), the eggplant dip was a nice surprise, smoky creamy, goes well with the pancake. A nice touch which i realized closer to finishing off the plate was that the pancake has been cut into nice little squares. All the better to soak up the egg yolks.
Warm yoghurt with poached eggs garlic n mint named aptly dish from raffi's mom kitchen was enjoyable. A simple well executed dish that any loving mom would cook. 3.75/5
Best order their hot fresh mint tea (see pic on my dineline) to accompany your breaky. Give them a go peeps.
It was the bestie's belated birthday brunch. We dropped in, intrigued by the colours and the promise of something exciting and we were not disappointed. We ordered Raffi's breakfast, which was beautifully presented on a lavish platter of colours, a cornucopia of fragrant aromas. Our jaws actually dropped on first sight. The produce was fresh with zingy tabouli, the sweetness of pomegranate, the lingering taste of dolmades, the refreshing nature of the hommus, baba ganoush and tzaztiki with pita. What a treat! :)
Great food but slow slow service. Lamb shoulder was melt in the mouth and the almond custard and pear dessert was light, fragrant and delicious.
LOVE this amazing restaurant. I think it says something about a place when the food can make you happy.
Simply wonderful, thoughtful, authentic and lovingly made home cooked dishes and personal (often quite hilarious and quirky) service. I have never had a bad dish here (try the pomegranate chicken main), and always make sure you leave room for slow-poached quince, saffron icecream, rice pudding or caramelized figs to finish... the desserts are perfect. If you are in a group, the banquet is one of the best value experiences I have had in Sydney, and the ambiance is such that you can book a private corner for a date or have a big gathering feast along a decorated party table and it still feels just right. Thanks Raffi!
WE LOVE RAFFI'S!!!. Always love the food there. The decor is very original, warm and inviting. Raffi is a bit eccentric but it all adds to the charm. He makes you feel right at home. I recommend the slow cooked lamb shoulder and the grilled eggplant with spicy lamb mince- they're our favourites. The homemade drinks are refreshing- love the sour cherry & rosewater. If I could budget for it I would love to eat there every week!! The deserts are worth saving a little room for!
Authentic, awesome food and excellent service!. I am in love with the decor, the food and the personal service that Raffi's gives me. I am in love when i go here. Its just superb!
Delicious. Atmosphere is unique and the food is delicious. If the service improved, this would be the perfect low-key hang out.
Raffie is a Persian cuisine that you will enjoy every bit of it. The environment is also very friendly, cosy and interesting. The chef (owner) was a bit serious at first, then become very friendly he brought us a unique extremely delicious jam we had with tea also he sang and played guitar for us. It was a great memory. Since then we have tried more until COVID-19 pandemic shutdown!
Super nice atmosphere at Rafi’s Persian restaurant. A cosy setup with a nice selection of original dishes. Try the mixed three course menu for the best tastes. Deserts a bit too sweet, but assuming close to traditional style.
Came here for breakfast/lunch last Sunday. Basically left us speechless...that and we were too busy savoring every bite of what was placed in front of us. The flavor combinations were perfect, the food was presented beautifully, the service was amazing, and the place itself is so beautifully unique. Kudos to the owner/chef who has clearly put his heart and soul into this establishment. Will certainly be coming back here, perhaps on a weekly basis!
It looked a bit shady walking in and sitting down with all their mismatched furniture, but the place is well looked after and the food was so good. The zatar herb bread was so much better than what I thought and what it looks like. It gets messy to eat..but that makes it all the more enjoyable.
Good place, quirky with an interesting and very tasty menu. Happily tried the middle eastern breakfast option (yum), while our son had their more traditional eggs benedict. Our food was delayed (as advised when we ordered) while we waited for the chef to come back from market. The bags bulging with fresh produce was reassuring and indicative of the quality here.
4.2 Interesting decor, friendly quirky owner/chef and great food. We enjoyed the Mezze Plate which was very generous and had a great variety of food. BYO and licensed which is great!
A really quaint little restaurant. It's a fair way from the hustle and bustle from Chatswood, but definitely worth the walk. We had breakfast here and it was pretty great and a change from the standard breakfast brunch fare (which, tbh is pretty good and competitive in Chatswood)
One of my current favourite places to go with immaculate foods! The Vegetarian Breakfast is superb! I did ask once for something Vegan which they happen to make something up for me and as you can see in my photos, they did a great job! More photos on insta: @rezzie3
