Review Sushi Bar Makoto Chatswood - Chatswood

Perfect place to indulge yourself with some not so healthy sushi options. The soft shell crab & chicken karaage were fried to perfection. And the cost was fair & reasonable. One of my favourite spot in Chatswood.

Quick service but we needed to ask for water and pickled ginger. Most sushi dishes were average based on the prices. Oyster omelette was delicious. Salmon tasted fresh. This place can get very crowded.

Very good and a popular place for sushi in Chatswood. Generally lots of seats around the train and fast service. Lots on the drink menu - I had the plum wine which was fantastic -$8.80. The udon was reasonably priced at $6.80 and was large. The sushi as a whole was fresh and tasty.

Easy to access sushi train joint to get your full of sushi, sashimi and Japanese cooked food items. Queue could be long during peak hours so do go early. It is a testimony to the value for money food on offer.

Sushi train style. Wide range of sushi, almost anything you can ask for. I prefer ordering off the menu in the off chance that they make it fresh. And ask for fresh wasabi, not the cheap packet stuff. A bit pricey but overall good quality. Not as crowded as before and some say the quality's gone down, but I think it's still good. The fish dishes and cooked food (nabeyaki udon) are recommended. We'll be back!

My go-to when I need a good Japanese fix. In my opinion this one of the best places you can get sushi in Sydney. The freshness of the fish is always incredible, and you can get a range of authentic Japanese dishes like udon, karaage and tempura among others. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly.

Pretty decent food; go for their aburi salmon sushi as well as the miso wagyu. Be prepared to pay $2.80 if you order hot green tea. Otherwise, pretty average service - it’s hard to get the staff’s attention and there are very few waiters.

It was my favourite sushi train when I was in high school , that was about 15 years ago but things have changed a lot after the recent visit I don't think I will go again . It was Xmas eve and I was craving for sushi . Not many seats available I was taken to the counter near kitchen seeing flies/ mosquito flying over the empty plates and I was sitting just right next to it , it wasn't a pleasure start , I requested the staff to clean up and I ordered seared salmon and searched scollop nigiri . I don't take these from the train , always order from staff , made to order . Orders arrived , all cold , had no temperature . Grilled and seared dishes are meant to be warm , it was Xmas eve I didn't even bother to say anything just paid the bill and left .
