If you feel like rice, order for this place. Never see anything like it. Mounds of rice to substitute filling. Very disappointing. Paid an extra $1 (no biggy) for avo for the kids roll that had cucumber in it. Never stated that it wasn’t an add, just a replacement for the cucumber. Totally unimp

Would have rated 3-4 star if I had received the entire meal that was described on the app, or if the price was lower. Ordered teriyaki salmon through the Uber Eats app. The dish was described as coming with miso, salad and rice, and was $17.50. The salad was standard. There was no rice at all and

Sushi-Ya has been a favourite and reliable 'go to' for over 15 years be it their Artarmon or Chatswood locations. I can honestly say that I haven't had a single dish here that wasn't first class. Always fresh and always prepared perfectly. Value for money is great.

Cheap but disappointing. - I had sushi and sashimi. Rice was too cold, too big and too firm/hard for sushi and rolls. The quality of ingredients is below average ( vs. Comparable cheap sushi trains / takeaway shops, to be fair for its price point). Fish was a bit stink and not that fresh. my partn

We used to come here quite often when they opened more than a decade ago. They used to be better is all i can say. Heaps better. In all areas. Our latest dining experience at Sushi Ya was not as good as before. The service was sloppy and abrupt. It was hard to get attention and the service was minimal. I guess it might be a busy night or not enough staff on duty.

Used to be our go-to place for a very long time during mid-late 2000s. Thought I came back for a sentimental visit recently but sorry we are disappointed. There are too many better choices available now and they have not kept up with standards. Will give it 3 star.
