My mum had the burger and chips which she said was delicious, while I had the sweet potato fries served with sweet chilli sauce and garlic bread. Garlic bread was tasty. Sweet potato chips were cooked well and generous portion sizes (great to share). 'Specials' increased recently from $15 to $20 which is significant.

Well how quickly things change. Food costs are as expensive as any RSL I have been to. The food is OK but be careful not to go to high as it will cost customers. The service is so typical of clubs who still have far to many middle management and not enough regular work staff, duty managers should observe staff and jump in and assist when needed. Front door staff should be far more outgoing and friendly. Also train new staff to serve the correct glass with what drink that is served. Cafe area needs more hands on works as this area takes far more work than all other areas ie, coffees cakes ect. Need to change with the times still operating the same way which is not best practice in the hospitality industry. F& B Managment Consultant retired of 40 years. Constructive comments only.

Slightly tired looking rsl which needs a make over. This includes the main dining room. Still. The food there was very good. Tasty and well cooked in this case a baked dinner at a good price.

This place is awesome. Everytime I come here there's another section I didn't notice before. Staff are the highlight, foods great, layout is relaxed and overall it's just pure quality!

Extremely rude customer service at its reception. The manager, a middle age woman, was extremely arrogant and condescending and had absolutely no professionalism whatsoever. The staff again at the reception lacked basic knowledge and could not even figure out what an Australian address is like. Shame on you. I do not recommend anyone to come to this place. I know I will never come back for sure. #shameonyou

The changes from the 1st July 2022 are terrible. Kids menu has jumped from $8.5 to $12. The ribs have been removed from menu. The salt and pepper squid was awful. This place doesn't care about customers only people who play pokies.

Nice. Last night of $15 steak and drink. Combo dinner will increase price after June.

Chatswood RSL is an amazing place to go for lunch and dinner!! It has amazing food in the IPOH club and it has the best food ever Awesome malaysian Roti Canai and chicken satay and who can forget the amazing teh tarik tea!! In Chit Chats Bistro the food is awesome and the food is delicious in the Shades resturant haha .. I've heard the bar food is good Friendly staff!

first thing you can observed when entering this club is the security bouncer look at you from head to toe as if your goin to a border patrol and the place doesnt look friendly and food likewise not much of a selection, no buffet style and not much of entertainment except karaoke, well as zombie line dancing and hungry machines as well

Fantastically friendly staff and great service kareoke is a blast for all ages 18 to 95 and the fundraising is promoted for many in our community ie Movember.cancer council. Highly recommend for functions or just a great night out. Oh by the way a answer to another comment having bouncers at the doors is not intimidating it is a nice peace of mind for you safety. If you have nothing to hide .hide nothing.

As always, great food and service. Mind you, it would've been a lot better if the air conditioning was working!

worse service from the front staff last night. had a family of 8 with a baby there for dinner last night. the front desk lady was so unfriendly we brought our money else where. yep... there r better places for us to spend our money mate so u better act quick n hire friendly staff!

Great food and service all round and a great looking club but the reason we came was the karaoke... So unfortunately I have to rate the club fair as the karaoke was TERRIBLE. Maybe get a younger host or better still hostess? To be fair the pensioners seemed to be having a good time but definitely not something anyone under 40 would want to be involved in.

Very disappointing service from three of your bistro staff tonight (2 female and 1 male - all young). They need to realise that they are there to work and not to socialise when they are serving customers and/or are around customers. We heard all about what plans they have on the weekend and that one of them was posing the other one off with talk about paleo/vegan (in those exact words). Not happy Chatswood RSL, disappointing and I hope your manager takes a look at re-training you.

Always happy with the food and service. Events are also entertaining! Highly recommended!

Being driven away, Shades was once a pleasant place to drop in after a late shift, have a quiet beer and do some writing. Saturday nights taken over by the poker league crowd now Friday nights destroyed by overly loud AND bad karaoke. Might be time to fimd somewhere more pleasant

You need to apologize to Claude 'The Mowerman' Harvey I'm so disappointed to hear of the way Claude 'The Mowerman' Harvey was treated at your establishment. He has worked tirelessly to raise funds for child safety.

I think it's a disgrace that you tell Bravehearts "yes" and then turn the Mower Man away he is raising funds for children! Shame on you!
