Brilliant, Wonderful and amazing ! Peking duck is spot on and great value. Beef satay and onion is just amaze balls.

Been here before 10:30 am, only buns are available. Rustic China' s type of Bao are served. Manage to get tea served as well.

Food is not so bad but the lack of good customer service scared the heck out of me. The owner treats you like if she doesn't want you there. Glasses and plates are dirty and have stains, the food i ordered had a bug. As we arrived, the owner threw the menus on the table, other tables had dirty dishes on as if people left but no one bothered to clean up. Food is expensive and we asked the owner some questions about the food and she only showed us a sign on the wall but it was written in mandarin i guess...by my looks is pretty obvious i don't speak mandarin.Avoid if you want to be treated with a bit of respect.

Just had dinner with group of friends, super impressed by Peking Duck. Highly recommended!

Not worth going to at all, would honestly rather not have dinner at all than have to go through the experience I had there. No customer service at all. We ordered two servings of dumplings and only received one serving which was clearly frozen dumplings and had no taste at all. My friend order a drink which we could see in the fridge however they said they didn't have it. The giveaway is when you walk into the restaurant there is a fish tank there that is so dirty, I'm not sure how the fish are still alive. A restaurant that doesn't care and quite honestly should just shut down.

The worst part of this restaurant is that occasionally its very good, it makes it even more disappointing when its so terrible. I have permanently given up hope. 1.5 hr wait for sun choy bow that was almost entirely celery and was only enough to fill two of the four lettuce leaves. Braised chicken and vegetables that tasted almost exclusively of salt. Special fried rice that was in no way special with only tiny cubes of processed bacon and no other meat. All of this for very high prices.

The soy milk was lukewarm. Chinese doughnuts was over moist. Millet congee was hard and cold to swallow. Only one staff and rest was not interested. It is dirty with unwashed dishes from last night. It is not hard to provide a simple Chinese breakfast. This place was a massive failure.

Went there for lunch and we felt that we were imposing on the owner, possibly we were the wrong type of person for the place. Given that this restaurant is in Chatswood and Chatswood is a thriving competitive centre for Chinese food, the quality of the food was particularly ordinary. Further, we had a late lunch and the messes left by other diners were not cleared from the tables and we felt we were in some dodgy back-alley "neon-light" flashing place. Avoid.

LITERALLY THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!i was treated horribly and pushed out of the shop and refused to be given any steamed buns becase i wouldnt buy more than 2, not to mention they told me i could only pay by cash when the lady before me PAID BY CARD, the owner is rude and uninterested in creating even decent service to customers and i dont mean to sound bad but i felt victomised for being caucasian, due to OK service given to the 2 other asian ladys in front of me. THIS IS NOT OK. seriously not worth the service even if the food is alright. JUST DONT BOTHER !

Duck was pretty tasty, but service was poor. Waited over an hour for the second dish to come out. Dirty plates were left on the table for ages.

terrible service!!!!!!!!!!!! Staff attitude is outrageous!!!!!!!!! Would not return for sure. Definitely will not recommend to any of my friends. Hope they can see this message and change their attitude in the future.

Ordered the whole duck and found out the portion was ridiculous. The pancake was ok, where the sauce was not so good. The cucumber was tooooo thick. This was a normal roast duck more than a "peking duck".

Not good.wont come back again.Very disappointed 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

Very disappointed about the food quality
It’s not yum and not fresh at all :(:(
Long story short; get the Peking Duck...and well the rest is a roller coaster; you feeling lucky?!

But read on if you want the "Long story".....

This restaurant specialises in the "Beijing style" of Peking Duck or some would say the more authentic version. Unlike the Cantonese Peking Duck which is just all skin the Beijing versions serves the duck meat and skin together which in some ways is a more wholesome bite, but some would say less sinful as your getting less crispy duck skin :)

Overall...Peking Duck cravings satisfied! Very satisfied!

Now onto the rest of the dishes....choose at your own peril. Deviation away from "Peking dishes" is well a dangerous path - like the Sichuan Eggplant; its sweet...the #+!~ and the Duck Noodles...oh man some of the worse food court food...?

Great place for my friends 19th Birthday, the food was cooked to perfection and the dumplings were some of the best I have experienced. The BYO option really suited our group and made it a very comfortable and pleasurable dining experience. I have no doubt I will be back in the future. Thank you Peking Duck.

Don't go for the service. The duck is the best. Other dishes are salty. a quick meal. The steamed buns at the front are good to buy home and steam.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! good food! but not that great, would not go back! The dumplings are good! as well as the chinese greens and the fried rice! but the service was TERRIBLE, there was a lady there who was extremely rude as well!!

Whilst the duck is acceptable, other food items are definitely NOT up to consistent standard. On our recent 3rd visit to this restaurant, the dumplings were probably over-frozen and the fillings and dough base of the dumplings were not even cooked when presented. They even charge diners for Chinese tea which is a rip-off practice (only acceptable for yum cha meals). I only had water but was still charged for tea. The Sang Choi Bow arrived before the main Peking Duck pancakes were served ! Service was painfully slow; we waited for almost an hour before any dishes arrived on our table. The boss lady appeared to be rather curt (read arrogant) and not too interested in our custom. Met some friends who also happened to dine here on the same night. When their table asked for the bill, they were told that the prices in the menu that they had ordered from are superseded and the prices are now higher. Why in the world were these superseded menus available for diners to select their dishes from? The waitress saw the customers ordering from these menus. Were their waiting staff also not aware of the price inconsistencies? This might well have been a genuine mistake but such unethical practice is misleading and deceptive to diners. We certainly won't be coming back. A rating of 1 is still far too much for this restaurant. I would have rated this restaurant a negative if the website allowed.

The steamed buns are the main reason I wanted to try the restaurant, and I wasn’t disappointed! The dough was really light and aerated, without being too dramatically white in colour which is always the result of using certain preservatives. The pork filling was superbly juicy and tasty, and even the vegetarian mushroom and chive bun was full of flavour. I’d definitely come back and even just buy individual buns to take away as a snack.

Poor service, average food. Preserved egg congee was tasteless. soy sauce and vinegar didn't really help with the taste. Chive dumplings were ok with soy & chilli sauce. Guess I should have known better than to order congee & dumplings at a place called "Peking Duck". Service was slow and didn't exactly make me feel valued.

High prices for the lowest quality.. very disappointed.. My partner and i came here and had 3 dishes: peking duck, honey chicken and homemade noodles with duck in xo sauce. The duck was lovely had great flavour and the pancakes were nice and light. However the soup that came with it had no flavour and was awful (we both felt quite sick). Similarly the honey chicken (which cost us $19.80) did not even look or taste like chicken. It tasted old and almost like fish in texture. And lastly the handmade noodles which definitely were not handmade and did not taste like it was made to order. It almost tasted like they precooked it and tossed it in a wok before serving. Our total charge for the 3 dishes was $70 !!! Definitely never coming here again

Why would anyone go to a restaurant called PEKING DUCK and NOT order Peking Duck pancakes?! Duck was sliced so very thinly, the meat was a little dry, it must’ve been a ‘skinny’ duck because there wasn’t much fat hence why it was a little on the dry side. Minimal oil, but still tender and the skin was fresh and crispy. Steamed pancakes were so very soft and delicate, put in some duck pieces, cucumber, spring onions and scoop in some sweet hoisin sauce into it and you’ve got yourself a party in your mouth. Chilli garlic beef. I have so much love for garlic and onion and anything that gives you horrid breath. The beef is soft and marinated very well. Slightly sweet soy sauce with a hint of chilli and a heap of garlic mashed into the soy sauce and then topped with even more fresh chopped garlic. You definitely don’t want to be talking to or kissing anyone after this because the garlic is so intense. The garlic aftertaste remains in your mouth for quite some time and you’ll need a few pack

What's the point of booking. We booked for table of 5. When we turned up there was no table for us. I wonder what's the point of booking!

The duck was nice. Kind of the same as the one you get in Beijing, China. Everyone seems to order the duck. The rest of the meal are ordinary.

Loved this place. We men the man who works in the kitchen, he was willing to serve us late - made a beautiful meal for us - he had great soul and made us laugh and our meal was divine. We would gladly visit this place again.

Waited almost an hour for stingy small portions and lurk-warm dishes when there were hardly any people in there. No acknowledgment on the wait, just plain rude and impatient waitress. The owners should be ashamed of their lack of service and empathy. Will definitely NOT return.

Shocking Service Had booked.... Shocking Service
Had booked a table for dinner on Mothers Day. On arrival, 5 minutes before booked time, we were told there were no tables available and it would be a long wait. There were other patrons there waiting for their booked tables as we'll. Not very happy.

Beware, it's deceptive. This used to be one of our favourite local restaurant. The food was honest, value was above average and service was efficient. We visited the restaurant last night for Chinese NYE family dinner. The special NY banquet menu offered shark fin soup, whole lobster, whole pecking duck, abalone slices and various other dishes, $388 for 4-6 persons. We clarified with a senior wait staff that the menu indeed included a whole lobster, she also led me to the live tank to handpick a lobster.
First course came, it was shark fin soup. Not a trace of shark fin at all, it didn't worry us though as none of us were fans of shark fin. The soup itself was pleasant enough though. Second course was whole pecking duck, sliced to serve. Then came the shocker, the lobster we hand picked had become mere a plate of indistinguishable shells with only 3 pieces of flesh. We flagged down the senior waitress and asked where the rest of the lobster went. She went into the kitchen for a few minutes and came out to apologise for misinforming us that this particular menu only included "a portion" of a lobster. The definition of "a portion" is up to the chef's discretion and she would like to offer us any dish from the a la carte menu as compensation. I stated my dissatisfaction and requested to have a larger portion of the lobster instead which she stated would be impossible, still insisted on offering us an additional dish.
Our table declined and made it clear that the reason we ordered the banquet menu was based on her misinformation and we just wanted what we ordered, not even a whole lobster at this stage but a larger portion so that everyone could have a least a piece of flesh. This lady remained that it would be impossible to offer us anything other than a dish from the regular menu. By this stage we had all lost our appetite. To this lady's credit, she remained calm and at least tried to make peace with us. Then she offered to compensate us $100 out of her own pocket, but we'd have to wait until close of business. I was surprised to hear that but replied ' we'll think about it'.
5 minutes later the owner/manager of the restaurant stormed to our table and accused us of making unreasonable demand. We politely asked her to refrain herself and stated we didn't make any demand, but she'd have none of it and continued to verbally abuse us. My mother asked her to leave us to finish our dinner and do not make a scene in front of a full restaurant.
When we asked for the bill at the end, guess what, it was $388, cash only. The bill was delivered by the same senior staff. I paid in full, in cash, did not query the $100 compensation, she then told me shed definitely give me $100 the next time I visit. I smiled and said there will be no next time.
Btw, the abalone slices were faux abalone....enough said

Not for the duck.... We ordered several dishes to share, one of them being the Peking duck of course. Ironically, the duck was a disappointment with its pale brown, not quite crispy skin. Traditionalists would not appreciate the thick slices of meat served for this dish. An extra order of a dozen pancakes will cost you $15 which is pretty damn steep. Our second course was the fried noodles with duck. They skimped on the meat and overdid it with the oil.
The other dishes were better, particularly the delicate steamed prawns and the golden tofu pillows, though not outstanding. The restaurant itself looked a little tired and worn round the edges but service was attentive and helpful.
