Yummy roast duck and pork. BBQ is very tasty. Traditional Hong Kong style. Amazing price. Bring your beer with you. Strongly recommend!

Great authentic Hong Kong BBQ restaurant, tables are clean and food is reasonably priced, the duck tastes amazing however the pork was slightly dry and the food was salty. Overall recommended if in the area

Tried the Roast Duck & Rice on the recommendation of the Waiter and it didn’t disappoint. Super tender with a sweet crispy skin and a tonne of rice for a very reasonable price

We originally came to Chatswood Chase to do some quick grocery shopping and have dinner before the New Year's but we didn't expect it to be closed because Coles was apparently open. We ended wandering around the place looking for another option to the food court. We somehow stumbled upon Winsure BBQ around 730pm. We actually thought it was closed or gone bankrupt because of the dated menus outside and tired looking decorations inside as well as the lights being really dim from the outside. After checking Google Review we decided to push on and enter the place. Surprisingly when we got through the sliding door there was actually a customer there and the chef that wears the top hat but doesn't appear to cook any of the meals as we later observed. After asking if we were eating in or takeaway he walked towards the back and I followed him for a bit thinking he was going to sit us. It turns out he went to the kitchen for some reason so we ended seating ourselves and got a menu each. We ordered the pork belly with preserved vegetables (one of my fave ingredients) hot pot and curry beef brisket hot put and a rice to share. The chef guy for some reason found it hard to understand what we were saying as we pointed what we wanted on the menu and slowly writes down our order. I mean it was excruciatingly slow as he had to peer at the menu for several seconds after I repeated it a few times and even pointing at it and spoke Cantonese to him. He wasn't noticeably rude, just your typical grumpy stern dad kind of service to customers. We are used to this kind of service at all these restaurants are like this. The curry beef brisket "hot pot" came out first. It was just in a normal plate rather than the hot claypot I was expecting. I guess why call it hot pot when it's not? The meal was decent enough I guess. It was lacking in some taste for me and had too many tendons rather than beef brisket so it made the experience a little worse. This dish also came out 15 or so mins ahead of the second dish so we have almost polished this one before the next one came. I didn't feel like the $16.80 price tag was worth it for this dish. The second dish came out with a bit of a wow factor if you look at my picture. Once again, there was no hot claypot but the presentation was so shockingly good as it was unexpected. There were just so many pork belly and a fair bit of preserved vegetables on the side and under it. The taste was simply amazing and very well made. I felt like this was freshly made whereas the other one was in a pot for however long. This dish alone brought up the rating to 4 for me otherwise it would had been a 3, so is worth the $16.80 price tag. The second time we tried the two bbq variety (bbq pork and roast duck) and the chicken bean curd hotpot. Once again, the hotpot fish did come in a claypot. I'm starting to think that they put the meal into a dish after cooking it in a hotpot. The hotpot dish was ok, lacking is some taste and they were pretty stingy with the chicken which is disappointing for $16.80. The two bbq variety was pretty decent in taste, actually reasonably flavoursome. It was a pretty small size though, for $12.80 I guess not bad relative to other shops. Out of the two dishes, I'll probably eat the two bbq variety dish again. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? This joint actually accept AMEX! Number 1, they actually accept card. Number two they accept AMEX. This solidifies this place as a must try. Finding a Chinese restaurant that accept this method is like finding a unicorn, seriously! Overall, I still believe this place is a bit of a gem find in Chatswood with a nice variety of food at different price point to suit anyone. There is a lot of choices and we will be back to try more in which I'll be updating this again. This place is one those bbq restaurants you'll go to once a week because it's cheap and it has all the dishes that you want to eat at a reasonable quality.

If looking for a good Chinese in Chatswood you won't be disappointed. Their Duck is my favourite and the crispy pork is delicious but you have to go early because I think is when is fresh and more crispy.

Can definitely improve on their hygiene standards and cleaner windows but I suppose this is their style. However they got the best canto good on Victoria Avenue and are miles ahead of the others

I bought half roster duck take away late this afternoon , the top level duck leg looks delicious, but the bottom is shocking, even have chills paste on it, definitely is from the different duck, thinking it could be from some leftover from other customers, making me felt vomit straight away, of course through away all the box. I’d like other people know my terrible experience ( photos approve it) , this restaurant definitely can not be trusted. Don’t buy any take away food from them.

Ordered some bbq pork rice charsiu and requested 半肥瘦 1:1 fat meat ratio and they ended up giving me dry and hard charsiu. Did not meet my standards however service was ok and prices were really good for lunch special.

Don’t go to this place. Terrible. <br/>Paid full price for a whole Peking Duck, but received half a portion of someone else’s LEFT OVER duck!! <br/>Easy to tell because the second layer of ducks on the bottom was a mess, had different spices to the one I ordered, and did NOT look fresh. You can still see the chili flakes on the left over duck which was NOT my order.

Worst service ever. Do not go here. The way they treat their customers is appalling. Yelling at people because they ordered so much that they won’t have enough stock to sell for dining in customers. What difference does it make who buys your stuff, still make the same amount of profit. They may as well close down. Unclean and poorly maintained premises, I don’t even know how they pass the annual food safety inspection.

They are famous for their BBQ Pork - they only roast 1 whole pig a day apparently.<br/><br/> We ordered the BBQ pork with rice, BBQ pork with noodles and a stirfry rice flat noodles with beef. Although the service was very minimal, the food was delicious! The BBQ pork was crunchy and the fat to meat ratio was perfect. The flat noodles was nicely done not too oily and the noodles are seperatable.

It was 12:30 pm on Saturday, wanted to have a Chinese take away congee when other Chinese restaurants in Chatswood were very busy. <br/>I walked in “Winsure” Chinese BBQ restaurant. There were only 2 tables of customers. From taking my ordered till I paid for my food. They were very unfriendly & felt like I disturb them a lot. And the main thing was the pork congee had funny smell, apparently the pork was gone off! It went straight into the bin. What a waste!!!<br/>PS. This is my first time to put a negative comment to a business. They are “sure win” on our black list 👎👎👎👎👎<br/>

Came here and had duck & bbq pork. It was yummy. And there are a number of options in the menu. It’s a good place for some quick and nice casual food. I think I will go to the restaurant again : )

Completely indifference service, the chef at the BBQ counter was chatting to another lady the whole time I was there waiting, didn't acknowledge me for quite some time. It was like having customers was a hassle to him. Managed to get some char siu roast pork & soy chicken. The char siu was definitely very good, right balance of fat & lean, juicy to eat & just right hint of honey sweetness glazed. The soy chicken was not bad, but not clearly as stand out as the char siu.

Helmed by a pair of disgruntled and grumpy old couple, Winsure is a Cantonese restaurant popular for their tantalising displays of roasted delights which earns its reputation as the "best in Sydney." For once, I do agree that their roasted chicken and duck may simply be the best in town (much much better than the pretentious and overpriced Mr Wong and China Doll). Growing up in a city where I can close my eyes and get my fix on decent roasted delights, the roasted meats at Winsure are nowhere comparable to the godlike meats in Singapore, Hong Kong or Guangzhou. <br/><br/>I got my hands on their soy sauce chicken + roasted duck combination. The soy sauce chicken was tender, succulent and juicy and the layer of fat was adequate and complementary to the meat. The roasted duck, on the other hand, was tough and chewy. My good old teeth grew tired of chewing and biting after a period. What makes Winsure a cult-like restaurant for homesick Hong Kongers must be the little plate of ginger scallion sauce. It is the ultimate sauce to enhance the taste of virtually everything. It was a pity that the ginger and spring onions were not finely chopped and the occasional salt molecule made me squirm rather than eat with delight.

I have only had takeaway BBQ from here. This must be the only place in Sydney where MSG and additives are not used, or in very small amounts. Highly recommended.

It was lateish and many places were closing but luckily Winsure was still open. Not many people inside but the lady welcomed us in. She didn’t speak much English but we didn’t have too much difficulty ordering.<br/><br/>Got some vegetarian noodles and wonton noodle soup. Cheap and tasty. Both dishes were actually quite light, and as I like my food on the blander side, it was more up my alley. The veg noodles were great – a heap of fresh vegies on top of slightly crispy noodles. The wontons had pork and prawns from memory and were made well. Soup was also light and not salty so made for a refreshing meal.

Do not be fooled by the exterior. This is the BEST Chinese BBQ meat restaurant in Chatswood. Forget all the other ones, I have tried them all. This husband and wife team cook the best Roast Duck, BBQ Pork, Roast Pork, Soy Sauce Chicken and Suckling Pig in Chatswood and the North Shore by far. <br/><br/>The difference is that they apply traditional techniques and do not take short cuts in preparing their BBQ meat so the marinate permeates the meat. The skin of the roast duck is paper thin and crispy and their roast pork cracking is super crispy and light, not hard. The Soy sauce chicken is chicken poached in master stock till its juicy and tender. It is always cooked perfectly here. Secondly, they cook their meat throughout the day so you will always be in luck to find a hot roast duck or crispy skin pork throughout the day. <br/><br/>Talking about this restaurant is really doing myself an injustice as I like the fact that they are not overly busy running out of meat all the time. I like the fact I can order crispy skin pork anytime of the day.<br/><br/>The 4.5 is for their BBQ meat only as it's been 8 years of perfectly cooked meat without a hiccup.
