Review Chat Thai Chatswood - Chatswood

Amazing food and taste. Experience the Thai cuisine and Organic Vegtables from the farm , Generous portions and variety. Try the yellow curry with soft shell crab if you want something memorable, and of course try all dishes. A special one is dessert . Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, a highly recommended place.

Ordered takeaway from chat Thai and ordered the garlic king prawns and pork ribs. Pork ribs were tasty and the sauce spicy but nice, but unfortunately there wasn’t enough, I think there were about 6 pieces. King prawns were also very tasty and good, the sauce was great! But again, only 4 prawns made it tough to justify the $30 for that dish. Overall a good tasting meal, just felt it was expensive for what it was.

3.5 stars experience. You can always rely on Chat Thai when it comes to Thai food. The food is consistent and service is average. We went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy. Highlight of our meal was the Crab Meat Omelette.

Thai food tastes heavy, we know it, but two of the dishes are unacceptable to us, the soup, the taste is too salty to swallow, the fish, it feels like it was taken out of the freezer and reheated, and keep eating fish scales, doubt whether the chef is qualified? One of my friends was allergic to "shrimp" foods, so we avoided all similar meals, but halfway through the meal, my friend started to have allergy symptoms. Even after returning home, the symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea appear, and it is suspected that the operation process of the kitchen is not hygienic, or that the kitchen utensils such as dipsticks and kitchen knives are not clean. The service staff in the store are not friendly. A few people gather around to chat and make trouble. When they ask for tissues and tableware, they have a stinky face, as if to disturb their chat at work? After reading the comment section, I learned that the store doesn't care and won't come again. I also recommend friends to "don't" come here. Don't spend money here.

Top class cuisine from the best authentic Thai restaurants in Sydney. There are new dishes on the menu recently with a mix of great curries and salads. They even have the legendary whole fried basa fish that tastes just like the original. Try the deserts for a delicious way to finish you dinner. Highly recommended.

Food was alright here. Enjoyed the crispy pork and the duck curry. I ordered two bowls of rice but the portions were completely different which was a little disappointing. Prices are not cheap.

Lots of choices on the menu. The food is tasty and fragrant and the restaurant is beautiful and feels expensive. The food is on the pricier side but it was worth it. We paid about $75 for 3 dishes + 2 drinks shared between 4 people and we were all full, so good value also. Located about a 10 min walk from Chatswood station. 10% Sunday surcharge and 1% card surcharge

Chai Thai is one of my favourite Thai restaurant in sydney, and the fresh spring roll is one of my favourite. The restaurant is super clean with great Service, the open kitchen is also an amazing feature. However, the duck is a bit smelly today so we really didn’t like it.

Food was good, but customer service needs to be improved. It wasn’t a busy night yet we got ignored a few times by staff who walked past our table and looked at us, then walked away. Have been to their other branches and this is the worst one. They need to improve their service.

I would just give a 1 star review but their pad Thai and chendol are quite good so they got back 1 star.

Service is very bad. Staff just turn back at you. And seem to be invisible. Sometimes we have to wait for a while at the door when it is not even busy with plenty of empty table but staff just doesnt seem to acknowledge us.

Food: been here since the first day the opened. Compare to there city brand, this one is a disaster. Curry and most of their soup dishes are way too salty, if you want a heart attack and hypertension, you are welcome here. And hey I ordered the same thing from their city store and it taste a whole lot better. Taste of food is inconsistent. The first 2 months, I forgive them because it’s new. But after 5 months there is no improvement. Pad ki mao/see ew sometimes has lots of sauce, the other time has not even enough sauce. Suki sometimes is too dry and others is too wet.

Will I come back? Yes if I just want a pad Thai to take away.

What a day of strikes! Visited this new plaza on a whim but was pleasantly surprised to see one of my fav Thai chains. Wait was abit given the size of our party (6) but def worth it.

Food was prompt and service was polite. I particularly like the crab meat omelette. I reckon it’s egg with crab meat and chuck into a wok of very hot oil. The result is a crispy cloud ☁️ of fluffy yummy ness!

Thumbs up and it no wonder they have been around for more than 30 years.

Very good Thai food, but a bit expensive for what it is. Sydney Westfield branch is cheaper. We had the fish red curry and pork ribs. Both delicious. The blue coconut rice is interesting and tasty. Went well with the red curry.

Extensive range in their menu. Yummy food and efficient service. Some items wasn’t my favourite like the hot and sour pork soup and their jasmine rice was a little soggy. But the rest was great eg fried whole snapper and Laos paw paw salad

Food taste good. We were just not impressed that when we asked for a glass of warm water( my elderly father was cold), they advised they have to charge for the price of a tea.

👏Went here for Mother's Day and they had a special where if you spent $50 you get a free itim sacu, we spent about $150 so we got 3!

I only got photos of a few of the dishes since we were a party of 9. Everyone seemed to be happy with the meals. My meal was quite spicy but I enjoyed it.

The service is pretty average, we had to ask for more cups and napkins since they only placed 4 on the table but it's no big deal. They were pretty nice in letting us dine as long as we were done within an hour since there was a booking after us.

Since the place is new the interior is very nice. There's a very cool leather bench along the window. Some tables are marble.

The menu looks a little different compared to other ones so I'm keen to go back and try some of the other dishes (especially dessert!)

I haven’t eaten here yet, but the kitchen
Looks great. I’m just warning that at this time, maybe while it’s new, the queues are crazy (we’ve just ordered takeaway after waiting an hour). The staff are harried, there are tables sitting empty waiting for bookings to arrive and it’s all a bit crazy. We arrived at 6pm thinking it would be quiet!

Was here for the grand opening to try their new menu. We arrived at 5PM and got in around 8PM. The food were on 50% off because of the grand opening promo and we tried nearly all of the new menu but because there's 2 of us, of course we just have to pick the most appealing ones.

Our bill came out around $70+ but it was very satisfying and extremely good meal especially that we won the lucky draw! Makes the night even better!

The wait staff are amazing, especially the lady that calls the queue, we were placed on bar table but we had to ask for bigger table since we were going to order 4+ items.

Everything was up to or exceeding our expectations except for the whole barramundi curry. It was creamy but not enough punches. We had this at randwick branch and it was filled with heaps more punches of flavour. Our add on dessert the dumplings was extremely good but the wait was around 20mins+ without any explanations and few follow ups but overall it was an extremely good experience and i can see this new menu have so much potential to be one of their signature dishes

Best of luck!

We heeded to the opening of a new Chat Thai restaurant in Chatswood Place during the Easter long weekend. They were offering 50% off the food menu so the queue was huge! We perservered and managed to get a table after 2 hours wait 😜
Food was great as usual 😋 I especially liked the desserts, different from the Haymarket store.
A sadly underwhelming experience. I haven't been to other Chat Thai's so perhaps I came in with the wrong expectation but buy and large the food was quite average (especially for the prices).

- We started things off with the Chicken Satay Skewers which were quite nice and I loved the peanut sauce on them!
- The Green Papaya Salad was tangy and refreshing but a little too spicy (I love spice but this much just got in the way of the other flavours)
- The Suki noodles were also quite good but nothing amazing
- The Green Curry we got with tofu instead of meat but was wonderfully full of flavour and delicious
- The Bitter Melon noodles were great of you like bitter melon but I hate it so didn't have the best time with it (but that's completely just a personal preference thing)

Overall everything was okay, service was nice and food was quick to arrive, however I didn't quite see anything all too special about the food despite how lovely everything else was.
