Review Shingle Inn - Chatswood

An OK, light, crispy, thin waffle, but bit on the expensive side at $14 (but comes with free coffee). Nice coffee, great service.

My partner ordered the waffles with chocolate sauce and ice cream the waffles were crunchy and a strange texture, he got his ordered fairly quickly. I ordered the all day big breakfast I had to wait more than half an hour for mine and when it eventually came out it was cold and my partner had well and truly finished his food. The lady was lovely and offered a complimentary cake of some kind and another chocolate shake but it don't make up for the horrendous service. The chocolate milkshakes though were nice though very chocolately but would not be returning when the fact is we spent well over $40 and had such horrendous service.

I ordered 2 large takeaway cappuccinos at the price of 10 dollars but was instead given 2 medium lukewarm coffees with the foam level completely wrong after around 15 minutes of waiting time. The short male barista had a really messy work station and being a barista myself that is such a pet peeve of mine. Though the counter girl was friendly, I won't be returning.

Very disappointing, expensive and not worth it. We had 2 coffees and eggs on toast both -40 $ bill. Service was quick and pleasant, coffee was good but eggs....I don't know how you even serve something like this. Ordered poached and got some kind of mess on my plate, 1 egg was kind of poached the other was hard boiled and broken and I m pretty sure it was only half of the egg...should have taken photo. Won't be coming back

Service is always friendly and professional, I'm always being greeted with a big warm friendly smile, coffee is the best you will find in Chatswood! I start my day with a coffee from Wiely everyday! Highly recommend.

Beguiled by the "decadent burgers" sign. Ordered a pulled pork "st Andrew", ended up with a limp $15 bacon roll. The flathead "sailor" burger is 3 tiny bits of fried fish in a bun, and less satisfying than an actual sailor. You get better at McDonald's. Hopeless.

Expect to do their work, clean their dirty table yourself and take the number stand from previous customer back to their cashier while the staffs were chatting away to glory. Coffee's ok.

After ordering coffee 25min later I got a cup of hot milk And waitress like somnambulate. Worst cafe in chatswood.

First time attending this establishment @ Chatswood, but have been to others. Honestly, this place is run very differently from the rest. This would be a place I'll stay away from if your on a hunt for breakfast/lunch.<br/><br/>Ordered my usual Eggs Benedict + Smoked Salmon and the misus order a Fritter and some coffee to boot. The Eggs Benedict was extremely salty for some reason and that was all you could taste. The eggs was very bland and the hollandaise was salty (probably from the salmon). The fritter itself was a disaster, it was very crumbly, and looked like it was mixed in with way too much flour. It had visible ingredients, but seriously, there no absolutely no taste to them. For the price they were charging, it was unacceptable. The only redeeming aspect was the coffee. At least that was ok... <br/><br/>The service was quite bad also and we were also over charged with the meals. We didn't realise till we re-collected our thoughts after the dismal experience. They even gave us the wrong receipt when we checked the item costs after we left the joint. <br/><br/>Won't be going there ever again.
