Review Oriental Dream - Chatswood

Overall food was really good. Only food that didn't make the five star mark is the fried spicy chicken. The sauce they used was really hot and salty and they are a bit too generous with it. Would still recommend the fried chicken without sauce though.

Great value for money lunch set! Love the bibimbap and soft tofu stew. Jenny, the lady boss there is warm & very friendly . Theyre also very generous with the banchan refill. She'll check & get them refilled even without being prompted! Fantastic service.

We came because of the reviews and we're not disappointed! Food and staff are very nice. All dishes were well cooked and fresh. 4 people + 1 kid ate very well for $100. Next time we'll definitely try the big seafood platters. I'm not entirely sure if you can find table at any time as the number of seats is not that much. So I would suggest reservation to prevent a frustrating trip.

The staffs are friendly and nice. The food is so authentic and delicious. I strongly recommended this restaurant for party. I had a birthday party last week and contacted this restaurant few weeks before the event and the staffs were so well prepared and organized. They had provided us menu and helped us to prepare the event in advance. The party was so successful and it mainly contributed by them. Without their help it would be so successful.

My friends and I came here last week and we loved it. The fried chicken was amazing and all 6 side dishes were the best. Extremely good service. You have to come here. I highly recommend this place to all who want to try out Korean food.

Fantastic hidden gem in Chatswood. We had spicy pork, wagyu beef and spicy tofu stew and shared. Everything was yummy especially cooked rice looks like cooked with good quality rice. All side dishes were tasty. I witnessed many restaurants concentrate on main dishes and side dishes are poor and don't deserve even try. But even side dishes in Oriental dream are fresh and good enough to support main dishes. Finally price is generally competitive. We will definitely come back.

Real Korean! Friendly staff and good value. Always greeted with a smile. Food is delicious, especially the lunch specials like Katsudon and Wagyu Bulgogi. Try the cheese and kimchi pizza - it's truly decadent washed down with a bottle of soju.

Only one side dish for a Korean restaurant... this is ridiculous. We ordered a dish that cost $40 dollars, and the portion is tiny, no bigger than the $15 stew. What a rip off. Will never go again.

Oriental Dream is my favourite Korean restaurant in entire Australia. I am Korean and I have been to so many Korean restaurants in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, just saying. All dishes are yum and satisfying. Unlike some other reviews I didn’t have any issues with hygeine i rather thought the place, utensil & ingredients are really clean compared to other restaurants. This restaurant does deserve better rating.

The rice dish was ok, but the spicy soup was not worth it at all, could have used maybe 3 dollars and made better ones at home. The fried chicken was very ordinary, average oily chicken as same as any other korean restaurant. Beef fries no good.

Even though the food was delicious, they seriously need to put effort in cleaning their utensils and keeping their environment clean(COCKROACHES FREE). <br/><br/>We were given dirty scissors and thongs. Then we found TWO COCKROACHES roaming around the table. The waiter was nice enough to move us to another table but the manager or owner did not even bother coming out to apologise. <br/><br/>Very dodgy business. I will never come back. What a disappointment!

Not very noticeable among the office buildings. Stopped by to pick up some takeaway for dinner. Ordered half a fried spicy chicken and soft tofu stew with seafood. The fried chicken took a while to prepare. The small restaurant was starting to fill up while I waited, all of the diners seem to be Korean & spoke the language (always a good sign when a place is popular with the ethnic group of the cuisine they serve). My order took about 35mins. The fried chicken was pretty good, the sweet spicy sauce made it very moorish. The soft tofu stew was ok, the tofu itself was smooth, but the rest was so so. May fair better dining in then takeaway.

It is a hidden gem. Their lunch special is super value and it taste quite good. Although the portion might be a bit small for big eaters. But it is hard to find a restaurant in Chatswood that is cheaper than food court. The side dishes are yummy as well.

I was passing and Korean was something I had not had for a while and had a yearning. I ordered my favourite soup - spicy tofu with pork. Whilst it was Ok the soup stock was not complex enough as compared to previous places and where was the egg? The side servings were also very small and very little kimchi.
