Review Miss Viet - Cheltenham

Modern decor, a slightly more upscale feel compared to your typical Vietnamese restaurant. Table service was efficient and food was tasty (pulled pork bao, spring rolls and duck hokkien noodles) - generous servings, definitely worth a second visit! 😉

Had takeaway yesterday and got the pork chive dumplings, pulled pork bao, crispy chicken rice paper role and a lemongrass vermicelli bowl. Flavour explosions everywhere, amazing sauces, high quality ingredients. We'll surely be back!

We live locally. We ordered via the restaurant website and unfortunately food was about 30-40mins late. However food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced given the good quality. Also serving sizes were excellent. Would order again and we highly recommend to others.

I ordered a roti bread wrap with satay chicken, it was delicious with tasty sauce. Pretty good for a local restaurant was very busy so is loved by locals. Will try the stir fry noodles next time .

Incredible food! Lovely staff as well! Phil the owner is always so friendly and makes great food suggestions!! I love the Pho and the Crab Bao's and of course the rice paper rolls! Jasmine is always so friendly when I come in there!

A gem for Vietnamese in the SE suburbs. We had the Tapas plate meal with a very wide selection and reasonably priced. Each was ample and very tasty, served by pleasant and helpful staff. Another "must add to the list"

Tasteful decor, prompt and friendly service. The pho was 6/10, however the chicken curry had too many dried potatoes which deteriorated the experience, the bread was dry and too crisp for my liking. However the menu had potential to warrant a return visit to redeem my first encounter.

All the food quite sweet. But totally is goodđŸ‘đŸŸ Nice and friendly staff 😉 Good to hangout with Friends. If you like Vietnamese food put this one in your choice!! Not bad to try😉

We ordered takeaway 5 dishes, all were found to be cold and bland 5minutes after we left. Rocking was soaking in sauce soggy and cold. Duck dumplings over fried and cold. It’s our first time takeaway for my birthday dinner during lockdown, very disappointing and we won’t order takeaway again

Good portion size, but it was very bland. I’ve had better pho

Friendly service and very good Vietnamese food.
Dumplings very good and beef stir fry very nice. I would have liked to see some fresh coriander on our meals or some fresh mint but otherwise good.

Miss Viet has a lovely layout and ambiance about the restaurant.
The waitress we really friendly and accommodating, as well.

Unfortunately the beef pho, didn’t taste like a pho to me, believe me I have it all over the world, not just in Australia.
It was a lovely broth for sure, but definitely it didn’t embody those Vietnamese flavours, that make pho what it is known for.
It was a tasty soup broth and the meat was nicely cooked, but being called a pho was its downfall.
That is why I rate it a 3.

Miss Viet Restaurant and Bar is located in the midst of the Charman Road shopping strip. The exterior is very modern however when you step inside the decor is rather interesting, the owner explaining it was driven by the French influence in Vietnam. The food was fine, the service a bit random and we could see it being a favourite with the locals.

Nice restraint with an excellent selection of Vietnamese food. The food is excellent, pricing is reasonable and the service is ok, but could be a little more sincere or enthusiastic. Recommended for dinner.

Such a lovely place in the middle of Cheltenham. Was a little disappointed that we had to sit at the window seat, only because the front door doesn't shut properly so a cold breeze hits us every time someone comes and goes because no one shuts it properly. But that's the only downside which is easy to fix. This restaurant is a tapas style Vietnamese menu and totally had me hooked. Had the spring rolls and the roti. I've eaten a lot of Vietnamese food but the roti was superb. Staff were attentive and had a lovely knack of asking us for our next course at just the right time. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front or there is a car park at the rear of the building. Takeaway available - which looked like was doing good business on a Saturday night. Thank you, everyone. I will return.

We love Miss Viet! It’s our favourite go-to local and it never disappoints! Food is very tasty, service is so quick and the staff are delightful!

Great spot for a quick bite. Flavours are not authentic or as in depth as the connoisseurs in springvale or Footscray! Worth the trip, I’ll say!

We had our annual office Christmas party here for the first time. We ordered various tapas to start off with and they were delicious especially the chicken ribs, the calamari and the panfried veggie dumplings. My main of bun cha was delicious and fresh and I loved wrapping my noodles, meatcakes and herbs in the lettuce leaves and dipping them in the nuoc nam sauce. Desserts were a little disappointing as the fried ice cream had a weird, thick coated outer layer and came with mushed up tinned mandarin which was overly sweet. The creme brulee was delicious and had a lovely hard sugar layer but the inside did not set and was completely liquid like a soup. When crowded the place is really noisy plus the booming music so it was a little hard to hear but otherwise service was good.

I really like this warm, cosy and very inviting little restaurant. And I especially love their big arm chairs around the back corner tables - they made for a very relaxing evening with friends. Super sweet and friendly staff and above average Vietnamese food. We enjoyed the rockling tacos (delicious, generous and fresh) and the lemongrass vermicelli noodles with a nice amount of chilli heat.

Had a work lunch here a few weeks ago. It was fantastic. We were a bit late on the notice for gluten free people but they were extremely hospitable and accommodated it with ease. The food was exceptional
Highly recommend

Came here with my partner for a spur of the moment Friday night dinner. We sat at the bar, as there were no tables left. This didn’t bother me at all, as I didn’t book. So if you go, book a spot.
Yummy food and quite the options to
Choose from, accommodating staff and buzzing atmosphere. Easy, casual, tasty. Would go back again.

When Miss Viet came into town, we were quite curious about trying out the other parts of the Vietnamese cuisine; besides it world famous “PHO”.

This is mainly because of the food...

Ambience is nice, and service is good - the guys are all friendly, but the food... it's a no for me.
Very basic, I was expecting all of those Asian flavours from both dishes we ordered, but didn't really taste like much! It is also pretty expensive for what it is.

We had noodles and lemongrass chicken, and both of them didn't impress. Dumplings were ok, but $12 for 6 dumplings... it's a bit too much if you ask me.

Nice ambience and good food coupled with good service makes it a great option for a local venue to go to. Pricing is on the higher side than what I would have expected. Food was of a good quality.

I used to frequent Blah Blahs quite often. The food was simple, delicious and cheap. Decided to try out Miss Viet when it opened. Unfortunately the only thing that seems to have changed is the pricing and the interior. Although there are a few new dishes, most of them are same as before but more expensive and smaller. Its disappointing because although the food is nice its not amazing. Hard to justify paying more for the same thing.

It is also really loud inside, we couldn't hear each other during our meal.

Tried this place last night for the first time. The place has nice ambiance and the staff were nice. We had a misunderstanding as we had booked their sister restaurant madam viet. Since we missed out booking they allowed us to stay for an hour prior to about booking. It wasn't their fault but we felt rushed, and it is not pleasant getting a bill before you ask for it, however it was generous to let us have that hour.

Food was nice, we made Bly got some entrees thinking it might be quicker. 4 entrees were very generous for 2 people , we couldn't finish it. The prawn spring rolls were yum.

They have seating arrangements for 5 plus people so I feel it's difficult to place groups of 2 and 3. Many people walked in and left.

If you want to try it you'll definitely have to book to avoid disappointment.

They have a drink and cocktail list which we didn't get to try.

We'll try again with a proper booking so we can relax and enjoy the place and food.
