I had the large, choice of three dish-honey tempura chicken, beef and black bean, and sweet and sour chicken with rice.
It was disgusting. I couldn’t eat it and I am far from a fussy eater. Life is too short, don't go there.

Practically inedible stir fry. Not Japanese and not Chinese. Cost cutting in warm stir fries by putting in mostly onion and undercooked carrots and drenching food in tasteless black sauce over cheap cuts of meat. Only give one small napkin and one fork. Do not waste your money.

i don’t know why this place has so many 1 stars. i got a ramen and pork dish and it was one of the most amazing meals i’ve ever had. freshly made, served a big portion. very filling and it tasted amazing. i will be eating here every time now. thank you!

Soooooo bad! I'm not fussy, couldn't eat it and had to throw it out... Will never make that mistake again. also had the rice paper rolls which are ok if you like eating rice noodles with very little else 🤨😫

I ordered the Sweet & Sour Pork and Honey Chicken, and it seems they forgot to put the sauce on them both. They had absolutely zero flavour.
I won't be back.

Ordered a Bento Box. In the picture it include sushi and sashimi but I ended up having salad leaves only. They should let me know when I ordered it instead of me finding it when I ate halfway because I have another toddler to look after.

I’m not sure if it’s Japanese or Chinese ???
I’m sure the staff were Chinese .. I can say the pancakes were fresh n tasty , the dim sims were dry , the sushi was ok .. not memorable
Staff were quick but rushed us a bit ...

I had oyakodon, it was freshly prepared and delicious.

I ordered a plate of pan fried pork dumplings from here the other day. Unfortunately the dumpling skins were too thick and the filling was underseasoned and a little dry.

Just a Japanese wannabe, don’t be fooled. Check out my pictures. Nothing like your typical Okonomiyaki, way too thick & nothing in the pancake but flour. The chashu ramen came out as Chinese bbq pork instant noodles. Initially we wanted to top up more noodles but they wanted to charge additional $5! Lucky we did not, would have raged paying for instant noodles! Utter disgrace they’re still in business cheating ignorant people of real authentic Japanese cuisine. I get it that one should not expect 5 star quality at a food court but one should at least be served proper food!

Itami is the stereotypical Japanese fast food in a food court place. The sushi here is better than sushi sushi, however you pay more per hand roll. The dishes are average size, but kind of expensive for what you get. I recommend the traditional Japanese dumplings!

The food here was worse than expected. The sushi here was LOADED with rice, maybe the rice takes up 3/5 of the sushi. I ordered the salnom teriyaki bento and again, it was overloaded with rice, it was nauseating to look at. my cousin ordered the yakiniku beef bowl and it was overloaded with rice, sauce, and beef. It was a mountain of food and even looking at it turned down my appetite. The sauce was bland as he says. I also had salmon sashimi that was absolotely not fresh. Lastly, the suki udon was very salty and the beef was just bad. The pictures may look appetizing but they do not maintain the same quality.

Probably the worst dumplings I've eaten for a long time. Not only were they not fried properly but the meat was underwhelming in flavour and the dumpling skins thick and dry. Definitely not returning.

I have tried two udon dishes at this place and both have had absolutely no flavour what so ever. Slow service too. Perhaps their other dishes are better but I’m not willing to waste my money to see.

This shop often give happy hour food in a box for $5.50. I was tried miso chicken with fried rice for &5.50, it was tasty and the rice was so warm and taste good as well, loads of chicken and veggies. It's really cheap for that kind of quantity & quality. Definitely recommend if you're in Southland and want fulfilling cheap food.

Standard wet dishes you find at Japanese food court outlets, which look inviting. I had the rice paper rolls, Peking Duck and a BBQ one. Very little meat, heaps of rice vermicelli to bulk it up, disappointing. No hosin sauce only sweet chilli. Stick to Japanese food, leave the rice rolls to the Vietnamese.

Hardly authentic Japanese. Had the Katsudon.. pork smelt and tasted off.. months old. Most likely defrosted and chucked in the fryer. Lacked complete flavour and taste. Avoid anything here.

Never eaten a worse bowl of udon/ramen in my life. The broth is made of hot water. It's like they blanched all the veggies and noodles in hot water then throw them all into a bowl of hot water. It was disgusting!

The vegetable dumplings were really good, freshly cooked, and was a extreme good value for money. The rice rolls was one of the best I've had for a long time.

Plus free sauces!!!!

I had a Curry beef don and a serve of the steamed dumpling the other day. The beef was chewy and dry, the dumpling skin was too thick compared to the meat proportion. And I was charged more than $15. Won't bother trying their food again.
