Review Fudge's Cafe - Chirnside Park

Terrible experience.. What a shame to sit inside and have the management and staff clearly disobey the new anti smoking laws providing ashtrays for people to smoke at the entrance to the cafe as it blows in the door each time its opened. When I mentioned this they shrugged their shoulders and said to contact council.. I cant stand such arrogance and disrespect. I wont be back EVER. Jamaican Blue Get my Vote 5 *

Been a regular customer. Usually go there with family & we order food and drinks from there. This Sunday our son felt he wanted KFC as he didn't want any food from there. So we ordered food and drinks for everyone and we were waiting for our food to arrive. A lady, I am guessing must be the 'boss' from her arrogance. She rudely told us that our son cannot eat his KFC there. We had to pack our drinks and food and do take away instead. She was extremely rude! Never going back there ever again!!!!! Bad service!!!

Called in to Fudge’s Cafe, Chirnside, for a quick coffee and cake, was impressed with the service. Comfortable booth style seating, along with standard table and chairs. Good range of goodies available to snack on. We were surprised at the coffee, it was very good. Next at this shopping centre will call in.

They make a nice dirty chai so I'm told and can do an americano with a dash without looking at you funny. The portions of cake and muffins are good value for money and its not too noisy for actually being able to talk to the person sitting opposite you. Staff seemed friendly and happy to indulge my pre caffinated attempts at banter (so thats worth a lot). TLDR: Would go there again for coffee and cakes/muffins/cupcakes

Purchased a cold cup of coffee this morning 05/06/2017 paid by EFT i was charged an extra .50 cents for this. This equates to over 12 % increase and when you consider the bank would be charging them less than 2% I find this outrageous that they can do this.Last purchase I make from that establishment. Ripped Off

Stopped in at Fudge's for coffee today. The guy who served me was friendly and well mannered. The coffee itself was pretty average. Although i didn't ewt any food, i had a skim over the menu and it seems quite expensive. $14 for a ham, cheese and tomato toastie. I wouldn't pay that.

I got the burger with the lot and my goodness it came with a lot! The burger was probably one of the best I've had in a while. It tasted fresh & not too oily as well as being delicious.<br/>My sister on the other hand got smashed avocado & from the photo I posted you can see it wasn't that special. Especially when it cost $15 and my burger cost $16.9! 🍔

Was staying at the Yarra Valley Lodge and myself , husband and the little one thought to drop by for dinner here on a Friday night. First time, and loved it. The food was excellent and my daughter loved her chicken strips also the piece was reasonable . The atmosphere is wonderful and the 2 girls that where there that night was extremely friendly and welcoming. Also what I loved is you can grab a small bite to eat here at night (if you aren't that hungry ) where as some places don't do sandwiches for dinner .

I used to frequent Fudges regularly. Lately I have found their food quality slipping. Soggy spinach and overcooked poached eggs that are solid on their inside was my most recent Eggs Florentine. Their food doesnt reflect the description on the menu anymore e.g. their smashed avo and feta comes drowned in pesto even though it doesnt say so. Their coffee is good and their service is generally friendly and fast.

This café is a little like a downmarket Coffee Club outlet. The menu is limited and comprises standard fare (the usual breakfast dishes, burgers, salads, fish and chips etc) and is not very exciting. There are some vegetarian options - I had a Mediterranean focaccia and coffee - which were adequate. The décor is a little passé and utilitarian, and the service is fair, and reasonably prompt. The meals are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

$35.60 for myself and a 4 year old seemed a bit excessive for a cafe to begin with. Chocolate milkshake was missing the chocolate, Mexican chicken was missing the marinade and was dry as anything, I could have made a better salad at home. Needs to get up with the times and include dietary requirements on menu.

Had breakfast and found the food cooked to perfection. Very fast service. Coffee was hot. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend to others.

Bad service and attitude from the lady boss! She was rude. No one attended to our table. When I helped clear the table and passed the plates to her she sounded upset and angry. Also the restaurant was our regular hang out until today. We ordered food and drinks for everyone and just because our son felt like eating his KFC (3 tiny pieces tenders) he was ordered not to eat by the lady. So we had to pack all our drinks and food as take away and ate in the food court instead!!!

LITERALLY THE WORST POSSIBLE MACARONS ON THE PLANET. Not even sure you can call them macaroons. They were appealing due to their size and presentation, but let me tell you they were DISGUSTING. I had trouble actually eating them but only did so considering I paid $10.00 for four! Poorest excuse for such a renowned café biscuit. They were hard to bite through and chewy on the inside of the shell - too chewy. Way too much sugar. The ganache wasn't ganache and tasted like cheap melted chocolate slapped inside two Redskins. They tasted so artificial I could basically swear I could taste the food dye in them. Was also handed them in a take away container. What the! The only reason I even gave 1.5 stars is thanks to the absolutely lovely young man who served me, I have never felt so respected as a customer, he was friendly and courteous, and addressed me as ma'am - he should probably be working at the Savoy Hotel of something because he is too good of a representation for this cafe!

Roast Pumpkin Salad And Egg And Bacon. Best salad I've had!

Average. I felt it would be an average experience. The coffee was good the smashed avo had hardly any avo. It should of been called smashed pesto because that's all I could taste. But it looked smashed so they at least got that right. The guy at the counter called me "sir" 4 times in one sentence and we are probably the same age. Word to the owners: Don't dress it up, your cafe is a little shopping centre cafe. Focus on you cooking and relating to customers because they both need heavy improvement.

I think worst coffee and breakfast I've ever had! Way overpriced for terrible quality and equally bad service.

Hit and miss. I have been to Fudge's a few times. I have a excellent experience then the next time the staff are very rude, look up and see me waiting to place an order then continue cleaning. Very short, abrupt and make me feel like I interupt their day. I live in the area and I now look over to see who is working, and base that on weather I get a coffee and cake or not. Really nice coffee and desserts going to waste on poor service.

Great. I thought this place was great. There mushroom and chicken risotto is amazing and I will definitely be going back for more. Staff were also very friendly and make good coffee

Poor.. Coffee was ok but the food was poor. The toast was supermarket bread, the omelette was just egg with a clump of ham in the middle. Greasy. Have had far better food for a lot less in Fitzroy.

Amazing coffee and amazing atmosphere. Staff is warm and welcoming and makes you feel welcomed. The bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly

SO GOOD. Best new york cheesecake I have ever had, and the coffee was great too - just a bonus that it didn't cost too much. Definitely recommend if you're in the chirnside area!
