Blu c cafe. Alot of exceptional and positive changes! The head chef is great! Serves delicious and attractive meals!

Good selection of meals, pleasant surroundings, reasonably priced. Good quality of a high standard. I had chicken Ceaser salad, a very good sized meal. My wife had the burger, home made Pattie n chips & again a good sized meal, she couldn't finish it. I would definitely eat there again.

Food was great and at good prices, but the mocha tasted like a chocolate milkshake.

Don't be in a hurry if you decide to eat/drink here. Disappointing service several times. Hot food can be 50/50, rarely worth the wait. Despite looking delicious behind glass, desserts in the display cabinet are not fresh. However, cold drinks like iced coffee and smoothies are great.

Honestly can't rate this place high enough! Their menu is full of variety, their prices are very affordable and the meals are tasty. I am looking forward to bringing my husband and eldest here, but me and my youngest love it! Relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Cheers guys 👌

I ordered an iced coffee, and the chicken schnitzel burger. The burger was soggy and the chips have that much salt on it, it’s barely eatable. The iced coffee is just cold milk with some cream on top. Although they looked good the presentation did not live up to what I just ate today.

Clean and friendly staff . The omelets are awesome. The view is great also

Normal cafe food with lots of choice. Nice views and polite staff. Do a good all day breakfast, good coffee and brownie points for having HP sauce!

Favorite local Cafe. Good atmosphere, okay prices, decent meal sizes and great drinks. Right across from the beach, with lovely views, and helpful staff.

Came here with a client and had a soft drink. Very close to park and beach, service is friendly, prices are reasonable. Exactly what you would expect from a little cafe near the beach.

well, i have just read the past comments about this cafe. my wife and i had morning lunch there today and could not fault it. the service was good as was the meals we both had. we have been going there for a year now and have had no reason to complain.<br/>the past comments to me seem a bit harsh. Everyone no matter who they are make mistakes, if you are an impatient person or want a higher class meal go somewhere else. It's a cafe, go to a restaurant and see how long you may have to wait, and the meals are not always as good as you would like them to be. for my mind i'm happy to go there and enjoy a good meal with good polite staff.<br/>sam/nancy from christie downs

I had worked a hard morning and was out for a hearty lunch. The Cajun chicken burger sounded pretty good so away I ordered. The size was decent with a nice taste to it. A nice view of the park from where you eat also. There is no real items that jump out as special but not a bad cafe for lunch while in the area.

Bought a voucher from "Deals.com.au", that entitled 2 people to a coffee each plus a choice of Omelette, Croissant or a 2 pancake stack.Took my Mum there for lunch yesterday and I have to say, that we were both disappointed. We decided on the mushroom omelette, which took 20 minutes to get to us, despite there only being 3 other customers in the shop.When it finally arrived, it was small in size and sitting on one half of the plate. There was no toast or any type of garnish. Just a bland, thin looking omelette. (See the photo below). It was hot and quite tasty, so points for that but the presentation was very unappealing.We were still hungry, so ordered the 2 pancake stack to share and paid the extra. It was quite nice but we thought it was  expensive for what we got. The coffee was fairly hot and tasted good. Service was slow but friendly.It was a very cold, windy day and obviously something wrong with the front door because it kept blowing open - the owner had to keep putting a lounge chair in front of it - then move it to let people in. Perhaps fixing the problem would have been a better solution?The café is only a 2 minute stroll to the beach and has so much potential to be a great place with beautiful views. The owners just need to lift their game a bit. I wish them luck.

Would have to say this would be the worst cafe down south. I had a hair in my dish but the female chef came out in a huff and puff saying its a micro fibre from the towel. If that's the case then give me my meal back? God knows what she done with it but no refund or drink offer was done. I know for a fact it was a hair. The Asian lady (one of the owners) was standing there dumb founded. Here is a tip for you!!! If a customer has made a complaint .. Do something about it! If you want consistence customers coming back and positive reviews. Because all these bad reviews are a hint to you that you need improving.

Fish & chips. Delicious!!x sorry could take a photo just had to eat on the spot. fantastic cafe with great service. definitely comming back again. 5 stars !

Cheap and tacky. I had bircher muesli and I was literally unable to fi ish it. it wasn't bircher muesli at all, it was a cereal served in a jar. very unimpressed. absolutely cheap and I wonder be back. if you want yummy food, go to agathas. avoid blue c at all costs.

Wow what to say.... It woul.... Wow what to say....<br/>It would have to be one of the worst meals I have tasted and I think mouth full from each dish was more than I could handle.<br/>Quite funny when the staff don't even look surprised when told what the food was like<br/>WARNING DO NOT EAT HERE!!!<br/>If you have to just order hot chips but be warned they can't cook those either

Yummy. We went there on the 12/9/14. Had purchased a groupon for two main meals and two glasses of wine.<br/>Was a lovely meal and fast service. Definatly going back for the all day breakfast.

Brekkie. I'm very pleased to have found this little gem! They are new owners since May, so let's give them a chance, if you've waited a while go and ask where your meal is don't sit grumbling! I have found the staff/ owners to be vey courteous and friendly.

Walked in approx 10.30 on a Sunday morning. They looked pretty busy with all but one table full of people. We ordered our breakfast of a pancake stack and a full breakfast and took our seats. We were not approached by anyone until a good 40 minutes later as they seem to have forgotten our meal. Other customers even commented on the fact that we were still sitting here waiting for food when they had walked in after us and were finished their meals already. Other customers were having to clear their own tables. We ended up getting our money back and walking out as waiting over an hour for breakfast was beyond a joke. Will not be visiting again.

Mrs Pat Cox. My best friend & I went here for brunch March 8th, 2014 (Sat morn) about 10 customers & to say it started badly was an understatement. The lady serving behind the counter was busy (granted) but didn't event bother to look up, acknowledge our existence or offer us a quick or friendly remark like "Hello how are you, I will be right with you". We stood at the counter for a good 5 minutes & was just about to walk out when the obviously unenthusiastic young lady asked us what we wanted, it actually was a shame as the food (which was brought to us by the chef, lovely lady) was fantastic. Overall I REALLY don't think we will bother considering we only go out ONCE A MONTH & was "supposed" to be a treat for us. NOT.

I have either eaten at or had coffee at the blue c cafe on about 5 occasions mainly out of it being in a great location and convenience . On all occasions apart from once the service has been way below standard slow and with little consideration for the customer. The food has been very ordinary with my last visit ( and it will be my last) being served a salad that had slimy black lettuce which we returned. The orders are often wrong and the place looks slightly unclean. The only 2 positive things I could comment on are the location and the waitress on the 13th feb who was very efficient and more mature. Would never recommend it and the friends I have been there with feel the same. I think I gave it enough chances.....!

Visited the Blu C Cafe last Friday and found a knife blade in a piece of raw onion on my plate. Brought this to the attention of staff and requested a call from the manager, who wasnt on duty at the time. Never received a phone call. Sent them an email, no response to the email.<br/>Shocking service

Very Disappointing. When the Cafe offered an Our Deal we jumped at it as our previous experience with this cafe had been good, even recommended to others. I can not say enough on how disappointed we were with our experience. Service was poor and food even worse. The salt and pepper squid entree was ok, the chips that came with it being the highlight, the squid was soggy and very salty. We had the atlantic salmon and reef & beef for our mains, the salmon was raw and the steak over cooked and very tough, again the wedges served with the steak were the best part of the meal. We were not asked if every thing was ok, had to point out to the waitress that we did not eat our meals for the reasons listed above, she took the meals away and we did not see her again. When we asked to see the desert menu (part of the deal), we were told they do not have desert and the cake fridge had broken down (has been broken for a while based on other reviews we have since seen) so all they could offer was ice-cream or a biscuit, which might have been ok if we had enjoyed our meals, we passed on the ice cream and coffee. <br/><br/>For our $49 we got a nice bottle of wine and chips.

Awesome!!!!! Great Food & Atmosphere!. My partner and I, first tried The Blue C Cafe from a voucher we got. We kept an open mind (as with other part vouchers, some have been good, some not so good). Well..... We LOVED it! The atmosphere was great and casual, just how we like it! We missed out on E'Nuf Said playing there but had an equally great solo acoustic guitarist who was awesome! The food was more than generous size and we definately didn't leave hungry! My partner had the shanks and to this day....still raves about how awesome they are! We are booked in for dinner on the 23rd December for our Anniversary cause we loved it the first time so much! Like any work place, there is always room to improve and grow but I think these guys have 're-born' a great eating spot! Keep up good work and great food! See you on the 23rd Dec, can't wait!!! Very, very Disappointed. After purchasing an Our deal voucher I was very excited to try Blue C as I had heard great things about the cafe. Unfortunately I was very, very disappointed with both the food and service on this night (FRI 7/12/12). <br/>My boyfriend and I weren't greated by the waitress when we were standing at the bar/order and were left to open and pour a bottle of wine ourselves. After ordering we observed 'mates' out the back in the kitchen were you can see straight through (perhaps a screen should be installed) and it looked like only 1 waitress on hand this night. <br/>Entree's were served (massive plate of wedges) which was good but we were only given 5 minutes before our mains arrived!! I think we ate a total of 10 wedges between us. <br/>I had the Fisherman Basket - disappointed is an understatement. Food tasted like it was frozen and deep fried to the extreme. My Calamri represented a burnt circle. My boyfriend had the Scotch Fillet (Asked Medium-Rare). Steak arrived Well-Done!!! Also there was a knife point in the steak where the chef had checked but still managed to over-cook. Salad was disgusting with brown off-cuts of lettuce. <br/>Desert menu??? Muffins and ice cream isn't what I had in mind. But the muffin was the nicest thing I had tasted that night. <br/>Waiting ages for tables to be cleared, crap service. I won't be going back.

Good meal. Surprising find in Christies.. I ate there a little while back. Was blown away by the value for money & the quality of the steak. Its rare these days for a chef to get a rare steak right. Friendly staff, good meals and nice atmosphere.<br/><br/>If I ever find myself hungry down south this is where I will head.

Lovely lunch. My husband and I tried out Blu C Cafe today for lunch. After viewing the menu online and then deciding to purchase a Living Social Voucher, we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with wine and coffee. Our entree was a selection of homemade dips with pita bread which went down very well. Mains were extremely generous to the extent that we had to take our dessert to go. It was one of the better Living Social deals that we have experienced. Staff were friendly including the chef, Luke who took time to come and have a chat. Being great foodies, we enjoyed him telling us his preparation of both main meals. The venue is quite modern and located very close to Christies Beach which helps when walking the meal off. As we were heading to the Cafe, we saw quite a few people of all ages enjoying icecreams. Thought there must have have been a great icecream shop around - to my surprise I discovered that it was another sideline of Blu C Cafe. Give it a go. You will not be disappointed. Just sorry I did not take photos - my lamb shanks were awesome. Thanks Luke and staff - you have a great thing going. Well Done.

Great Value. Tried this place using a living social voucher and was blown away by the value and quality of the food. Will definitely be going back to try more. Great atmosphere.

Not good. Recentley I went to the Blu C Cafe, and I was less than impressed. <br/>A few of us ordered at the same time, and then 2 of my friends came in about 10 mins later. <br/>Our friends food came out first, even though we ordered the same thing just 1 had different sauce. <br/>So that was a little dissapointing. <br/>So we got over that little thing, no biggie. <br/>We then went to eat our meals, and the chips were cold, stone cold. <br/>We told the staff behind the counter, and said sorry, i'll tell the chef, and that's it! no replacement or compensation! <br/>the chicken schnitzel was cheap even though we paid pub prices. <br/>Salad was bland and dry. <br/>Needless to say, I will never visit this "Cafe" again

Great meal. I am not related nor do I know the chef, I am just a fan of great quality food. hate to see a great place get a bad rap thats all. you are entitled to your opinion but im sorry you feel the way you do. we have now become regulars and we love it.

I was at the blu c café on the 18th of april for my mates birthday from about midday till they closed. at no point did we hear foul language at all from staff. the food was excellent and the price was great. we has quite possibly the cheapest drinks in adelaide for hours on end. guess some people are not happy unless they are complaining. to the owner well done keep up the goodwork we will all be regulars.

Great location, food and service. We are locals and have been here a number of times. Staff are always happy assist, the food has always been great and very reasonably priced. I have and will continue to recommend to friends.

Two thumbs up.. Go here regularly with mates. Staff are always friendly. Food is always promt and delicious. Steak cooked how one asks to have it cooked. Can't really fault the place.<br/><br/>Hot Tip; Get the Moroccan chicken when it's on the board!!!

The blue c cafe was recommended to me by close friends, and the comment good value for your money, after heading down to the cafe on a warm summer night, ordered two steaks, one well done, and one rare, and after a short wait and a cold beer, the meal arrived , and my great surprise was the best cooked steak I have had for sometime, and would recommend this to more friends, well done to the staff for very good service,and value for money. See you again soon..

Jake. Fantastic food thats good for the pocket, (i disslike paying a fortune for food), and the taste buds. Relaxed atmosphere with welcoming service, good for a romantic date and quick meal with the friends, great occasional live music, with cheap drinks on Fridays. I would recomend to all the family and friends, even those with kids, hence this review. Go the local.

Lovely Food. My family and I recently went to the Blu C Cafe for a last minute family dinner & we were all really pleasantly surprised with the meals! They were really fresh, cooked perfectly, decent serves, value for money & they all came out together at the same time (a pet hate of mine). Everyone ordered something different- the Salmon, Steak, Beef & Reef, Garlic Prawns & schnitzel & everyone was really happy - even my Mother who is sometimes hard to please! The chips and wedges were cooked to perfection as well! We were a bit cautious though, as we had been there previously for a coffee & they were cold - have since learnt that the girl who made them was new. But the chef's definitely know what they are doing. We're now planning to go back there for another family dinner soon - we'd recommend it for a good feed. They're also Gluten free friendly!
