Review The Marina Cafe - Church Point

Allan
Drove pass and decided to try this cafe . First thing I had problem was parking , there were parking available but the car space are so tight I has a hard time getting out of my car let alone how someone can get into theirs . Other than that the cafe has simple decor but nice , it was overlooking out to pittwater and Scotland island , certainly a great place to sit relax and have breakfast or lunch. The food was good nothing too fancy but enough. I would go back again if I can overlook the parking part.

Wow... The best hidden gem on the northern beaches. Amazing food, good coffee and stunning marina setting. The bacon and egg roll is the best I've had all year.

Food was nice but later having seen one of the waiters adjusting a meat roll by hand I was a bit concerned about their hygiene standards. Coffee was nice. Covid safety a real concern, the sign at the door states a mask inside is mandatory, shame the owner, some staff and visitors can't grasp this is a requirement. Appalling really, Safe work should be monitoring these businesses, they are allowed to operate subject to these conditions so you would think they would make an effort to keep people, including their own staff safe

This café has a lot going for it – a location right on the water (and some tables actually out on the wharf), free and plentiful parking right out front (unlike the pricey and overrun car parks down at Church Point), great staff, and wonderful food. We were delighted at just how good the dishes here were – the Asian-style salads and whole fish in particular were superb. Food was brought out fast, and the staff were superb dealing with a range of dietary requirements.

My partner and I had a coffee and a slice of cake here. The coffee and cake was great and the waitress we had was lovely, an American woman who was cheerful charming. One of the other waitresses was horrible. The way she conducted her self with customers was rude and abrupt. I watched her roll her eyes and huff in front of a customer that was confused about their order. She delivered our cake to us while chewing with her mouth open, with food on her face and between her fingers. It was blatantly obvious that she was in a bad mood and felt justified in taking it out on those around her. Despite the beautiful views and the decent food. We won’t be going back any time soon.

This is by far my favourite breakfast place! The quality of the ingredients and the way they prepare all things in house makes all the difference in the taste of the dishes. I strongly recommend the corn fritters with a side of bacon for a heavenly brekkie experience!

Not bad !! I took the special ( sword fish and it was delicious but the greens was really average ) the papaya salad with the spice jam and king prawn was also very good . The dessert are always really yummy and home-made. It is also nice as they are dogs friendly. ☺🐕

Good food at reasonable price with good views. Would have given 5 stars if service is a bit faster.

Uncompromising, I’ll asked was for a kids steak sandwich, they overpriced, and under delivered, a thin steak with some melted cheese and 2 uneven pieces of over toasted bread $20. Supremely disappointed 😔

Best. Muffins. Anywhere. No more needs to be said. But as well as a great cycling cafe also great to take my lovely elderly parents there or lunch with my wife. Great service.

Fantastic dining experience. Wait staff are very attentive, kitchen people are blazing fast with the food yet very consistent with taste. Food is always fresh you'll never feel shortchanged for what they charge. Serving proportions are just right for my appetite. My wife and son absolutely loved their desserts. The view of the marina on a clear blue sky is something to behold. This is a regular spot for us when around the Northern Beaches.

Me and my family went to check out The Marina Cafe last weekend. They have a very welcoming staff and the food was great. I like their open kitchen setup, everyone can see what's going on in there and you can see the chefs who are preparing the food. I personally like their Duck salad menu and would highly recommend it to everybody I know. The food prices are reasonable, the cafe is kid friendly and pets are welcome as well but only on the veranda. In our lunch experience there, I will give them a two thumbs up! Food is awesome, price is right, variety on the menu, family friendly, awesome staff and awesome place!

This restaurant has it all. Fabulous fresh produce, water views, and an ex chef from Longrain. A hidden gem on the Northern Beaches. It simply is a must.

We visited The Marina Cafe on a Monday in order to start the week off right! The cafe is very open and airy, with seating inside and seating across the carpark over looking the marina.

The waitress looking after us (and the whole cafe) was friendly and attentive. We ordered two skim cappuccinos and one Bacon and Egg Roll. The Bacon and Egg Roll wasn't on the menu but we had previously ordered it take away–it was $16 dine in and $14 take away from memory.

The coffees came out quickly and hit the tired spot! One was completely coated in chocolate (my kind of coffee) and the waitress joked that this was because she tried some coffee art but it didn't work! She was currently learning the skill so I thought her second coffee art was great. The cappuccinos were tasty and I'll be back for another soon.

The Bacon and Egg Roll was delicious - lots of bacon, lots of egg, lots of yum. The Marina Cafe make some tasty relishes in house, and there was a serve of relish on the side that was delicious! Also some spinach too, coated in a great sweet vinegar? Overall, top Bacon and Egg Roll.

I loved my morning start at The Marina Cafe and can't wait to return soon

Although we have enjoyed previous meals at The Marina, we were very disappointed with the food and service - particularly as the occasion was Mother's Day. Whilst there were 13 staff, they could not open a wine bottle for us or provide clean glasses. Our simple dishes of snapper and hand cut potato chips were overlooked and cold, and delivered out of sequence. When we complained we were assured the Manager would attend to us, however, instead we received the bill. For a Mother's Day off from cooking we left feeling very dissatisfied.

Great spot and fantastic food. What a wonderful little spot for a great Sunday Brunch by the water. My husband and I were told this place is under new management by a chef who has worked at Vulcans and Longrain and that the food was great. We were not disappointed, I had the omelette which was packed full of great ingredients and hubby had the fried eggs with trimmings with this delicious chilli jam.

As parking is quite easy, we have come back for lunch a couple of times, the snapper with eggplant divine, the squid and Asian salad was pretty good too, hubby cannot go pass the half wagyu and half angus beef burger, the chips were hand cut and very tasty - very heavy so be prepared!

We shared a cake for desserts, so fresh, the waitress said they bake them daily onsite ... you can taste the difference.

Some tables are by the water and lots have views. Staff are friendly.

Overall highly recommend it!
