Pricey but the food is reasonable, they know how to make runny eggs, an increasingly rare thing. The chilli jam in the egg and bacon roll is pretty good too. Coffee was good, but I had an extra shot. Friendly staff.
The shop is located in the Empire Village on the side that faces Beecroft Park. We got a table outside and had a look through the menu. The food items looked quite interesting. They also had cabinet food inside by the counter.
I tried the smoked pork belly with a malted milkshake. I quite liked the milkshake. The pork belly was also quite nice with crackling and well cooked and seasoned beans. We also grabbed some donuts from the cabinet for takeaway and they were quite nice, particularly the pistachio one.
I quite liked the cafe and the proximity to the park was nice if you were wanting to have a walk before or after the meal.
You find bakery hot food prepared on the premises and enjoy them in a restaurant-style ambience. There are a whole lot of hard and soft drinks to choose. I ate a big hot chocolate muffin. The pastry was soft and tasty and the rich creamy filling left me satiated. Good place for some good food.
Coffee is great and the food is ok but the staff do not understand allergen content on their menu. I had to reorder my breakfast 3 times because they were not sure. They should just ask the chefs to add it to the menu like every other cafe in Perth.
Avoid the baked eggs. Way too much passata.
