Traditional Chilean baked empanadas. Pastry was sturdy and held up to the well packed juicy beef filling inside. Nice amount of spice in the mix makes for a great lunch item if you're in the area.

Great spot! food is absolutely delicious. They do everything from traditional Chilean cakes to big party cakes. Not to mention the great assortment of Chilean goodies. I will keep coming back!

I absolutely adore this place! Unbelievably good cakes and coffee, the empanadas are delicious! The staff are always in a good mood and always make customers feel welcome. If you like South America, you will love Marcianos Cakes! Chicken Empanadas were amazing, Coffee was excellent and for the first time ever in my experience, the sugar was mixed and not dancing their own dance at the bottom of the mug. Best coffee I've had ever, and the tres leches cake was so worth the 40min drive to get here!

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but step inside to find a lovely, pristine patisserie filled with a wide selection of pastries and cakes. They make a good coffee too.

The beef empanada was really good, fresh and the meat was perfect. I had a cake too with custard cream, ham and dulce de leche... Was an absolutely YES for me. The cookies nothing from other world and the bread (marraqueta) too...

While I can't vouch for authenticity as I haven't been to South America to try the real deal before, I can vouch for the deliciousness of the empanadas and pastries here.<br/><br/>The beef emapanada was surprisingly big, and affordably priced at $4. Filled to the brim with beef, onions and eggs, it was delicious. In saying that, I personally preferred the crackly buttery pastry of the cheese and prawn fried empanada over the thicker and not so buttery pastry of the beef empanada.<br/><br/>Naturally I had to try the sweets, and the Marciano's Delight (half on half) and chilenito hit the spot. The former consisted of puff pastry with layers of dulce de leche, vanilla custard and strawberries - a delightful combination of flaky, creamy, rich and fruity texture and taste. The chilenito impressed with its crumbly pastry and rich dulce de leche too.<br/><br/>Lovely and down to earth service, reasonably decent coffee, and yummy baked goods. I look forward to returning to try out the rest of the cakes here.

After coming back from South America I found it difficult to find places that filled that foodie void. This bakery has been under my nose all this time specialising in South American cakes and on the side they also make some homemade pies, empanadas and sandwiches.<br/><br/>I had to grab myself a couple of empanadas which were monstrous! The cheese one had a flakey buttery pastry with melted cheese inside. Delicious. The beef one on the other hand had a standard pastry but was packed with beef mince, onion, eggs and olive. Great value at $4 a pop and was satisfyingly filling, comparable if not better than the ones I've had in Chile.<br/><br/>Their cakes were also beautiful, I'll definitely be grabbing a few of those beauties. They also do custom cakes also.

A small shop on Centre road near the Railway crossing which i have gone past numerous times. Thanks to the internet and looking for a cake I came across this place and was pleasantly surprised. The place has a wide selection of Pastries, Cakes and more traditional Empanadas with staff who are more than happy to assist you with any queries you might have. You can also order cakes for occasions with a day's notice. Ordered a few pastries and was Amazed by their Quality, Taste and Price. Will surely be returning to try other items on their menu.

Cakes are always fresh! Sponge cakes are fairly sweet though bit have a great traditional variety. You can tell how proud the staff are who sell them. Great prices too.

Marciano's Cakes, the best South American cakes. We always order the Marciano's Special which is half & half. It is layered with puff pastry, dulce de leche caramel, more puff pastry, custard, chant illy cream, fruit, sponge cake, more dulce de leche caramel all covered with coconut flavored meringue. It's a party in your mouth. All the different layers & all the flavor a go so well together & they are reasonably priced. Great for a special occasion. They have many other desserts & savory items at their store. A piece of South America in Clayton. staff are friendly & always happy to serve you.

People travel across the city to come here! A fabulous South American bakery that does the most indulgent cakes. Make sure you try any of their cakes that have custard in it, they are divine!

Amazing cakes and awesome service. Been a repeat customer for cakes. Must admit they aren't the prettiest of cakes thus the 0.5 off but for value for money as well as taste just thinking about them makes me drool. It's worth the trip if you're far away and also their empanadas are mouth wateringly delicious too.

Incredible service. I was in an incredible pickle for my partner's 50th birthday party. I had organised a cake, which had fallen through and needed to organise a last minute, same-day replacement that was worthy of such a big birthday. Most places I rang told me it was impossible. I work in Clayton and found Marciano's by sheer serendipity. They were unbelieveably helpful and professional - and organised a beautiful, large cake for me at very short notice. I literally waited while they fixed it for me. It was gorgeous and delicious. I would highly recommend them.

Oh my Gawd! So much Chilean yum all in the one place.. Have been here many times and have never been disappointed with any of the wares I've bought. Love the empanadas, the ohhh so delish cakes on offer ( so many to choose from), the pies, the bread ( I'm not sure of the name). This is the sort of place where you walk in for a pie, and walk out with a 3 course feast! Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves South American cuisine and/or cake.

Found this place completely by accident as a random meeting point with a friend. Staff really friendly, coffee delicious, cakes amazing and the empanadas were very tasty. Very good prices too. If I didn't live so far away, I'd be there much more often.

Delicious authentic Latin American baking. The empanadas are beautifully made, as are the authentic Chilean bread rolls. The cakes are a treat! Highly recommend for anyone who's interested in trying some authentic Latin American.

Deliciosa!!!!. Have lived locally for ages and passed this place heaps and never went in until it was featured in Coxy's show on chanel 7. .....<br/><br/>OMG the cakes were deliciosa..... Bought a selection of cakes to take to mum's place and OMG there were off the plates and into our tummy within seconds. All the cakes were divine, but my favourite was the vanilla slice and the strawberry sponge. <br/><br/>Am a regular now.... just worried about the addiction I now have with eating these delicious cakes and they are better than the cake shops in Oakleigh!!!

Where have you been all my life?. We found Marciano's by complete accident. The empanadas are great - meat, egg, olives, lovely pastry. For sweets - caramel soft cake roll, and a cabinet full of delights that I can hear calling for me from far away. Will return ASAP.

Surprise. My brother arrived for a surprise visit with cakes and sweets in hand. They were from Marciano's (which I did not even knew existed). All I can say is yum. The french style custard slice is amazing. The pastry is crisp, the creamy custard on the top amazing, the thicker custard on the bottom tasty and the caramel between the custard layers surprising and addictive. The caramel sponge roll is essentially a delivery device for the thick and sweet caramel. The custard horn was also a treat.<br/><br/>My brother said that the customer service was non-existent however with sweets as good as this, it does not matter.<br/><br/>We will be paying a visit soon, to discover what other delights exist.

Traditional Chilean Empanadas. Marciano's modest premises are set amongst a small strip of shops in Centre Road. They produce a vast variety of South American sweets, as well as bread & traditional Chilean empanada de pino. <br/> <br/>I'd been meaning to visit this place for ages, and finally stopped by to sample one of these authentic beef empanadas which at $3.50 are inexpensive and completely satisfying. The pastry is like that used to make a pie, but the filling of spiced beef mince, a segment of hardboiled egg and black olives is undeniably unique.<br/><br/>I'm yet to try out any of their sweets, but I hear they're well regarded for their elaborate cakes for special occasions such as birthdays and weddings.
