This place is not temporarily closed, it is currently open! My friends and I come here every Monday for a lovely Korean meal and Soju. The owner is a energetic and generous host and always treats us well! Highly recommend their fried chicken!

I absolutely love this place. The food isn't the kind of Korean food you'd find in the CBD or in many Korean restaurants, it's very homemade and feels like it's been made with love. The ahjumma who served us didn't speak a lot but was very nice and polite. A lot of local Koreans came while we were eating and ordered takeaway. We ordered half fried chicken and half yangmyun chicken and this was honestly the highlight for us. Crispy, hot and fresh. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered japchae and rice cake & dumpling stew, both of which were also great. Great little restaurant, I really look forward to bringing more friends here.

Having lived in Glen Waverley for more than 2 years, I do get excited at the idea of feeding myself in a different suburb. Might get lucky and find a hidden gem before the paparazzi takes over. Also worthwhile to find a place that is convenient for having long conversations with a long lost friend. Lost would best describe this particular friend of mine.
Pretty decently priced for it's portion! I was so full and the side dishes were delicious too. Couldn't stop at the side dishes :p Would come again! It was comfortable eating there as well.
We wanted to try a different Korean restaurant and found this place located opposite from Clayton station. We saw a few tables having korean fried chicken so we decided to order the original and spicy fried chicken, tteokbokki, a korean casserole and spicy stew
Although the tteokbokki was under entree, the portion was decent and the spices were just right. The spicy fried chicken was crunchy and the sauce could be slightly more spicy. The pickled radish served with the fried chicken was crunchy, sweet, and the refreshing cubes tasted great.
I was pretty full just eating the KFC and tteokbokki, so I didn't have much of the casserole and stew. However, there was a generous amount of ingredients in the casserole stew.
Overall pretty satisfied.
It was early Fri evening that I've decided to venture myself to Clayton for a Korean meal. I ordered the Kalguksu (literally means hand knifed noodles). It was a nice portion but I was a bit disappointed it didn't have any dumplings or even some minced meat on top for price of $14.90. Side dishes were plentiful. Service was good.
If you want to learn the real meaning of finger licking good then look no further. Their signature spicy soy and garlic crispy fried chicken is the bomb.

Love their spicy soy and garlic fried chicken. The KFC (Korean fried chicken) is fried beautifully and so tasty. Best fried chicken this side of town.
This place is of average setting, nothing fancy. The dishes are slightly pricey however tastes good. My favourite are the crunchy side dish with mayonnaise which I don't exactly know what it is. I always ask for refills but after one refill they will start charging you 50c a plate which I think is a bit of a turn off. Korean restaurants are known for side dishes, don't really feel it should be charged especially their food is already not cheap. So despite the food being tasty, it's not a place I will visit often, not good for value.

Seafood soup - Very tasty however would recommend not to put crabs in as it is pretty messy to eat on a small table. Fish and broth were very tasty
Spicy Beef Ribs - Very tasty, full of flavors and the ribs were very tender.
Dok bok Ki - Nice, Authentic taste.
Bibimbap (korean mixed rice) - Nice and authentic taste.
Stir fried potato noodles - it was alright.
Positives - Quick, no frills service. Most dishes are very good and authentic. Fried chicken is highly recommended.
Negatives - portions are small, may end up quite pricy. They are now charging extra $0.50 for additional small dish of condiments which were free in the past. Ordered 6 dishes and total bill was $153.
My friend recommended this place for korean fried chicken. However, we went there to try other dishes. I love the spicy baby octopus and spicy galbi jjim. The side dish that had mayo was my fav, it was crunchy and a bit sour. Service was alright.
So far the best Korean fried chicken I had in Melbourne! Crispy chicken with delicious sauce. A little bit pricy but happy to pay for the good food!
What a great shop in the burbs. Have been several times now, to date have tried the Kim chi fried rice - full of flavour, the chef's recommended pork with Kim lettuce wrap (assemble & wrap yourself), the seafood & the Kimchi pancakes, and silken tofu soup. To be honest, I could not find a fault in any of those dishes, all were tasty and right amount of salt/oil. Saw a lot of people order the chicken, but between the two of us, it would be too much food. Want to come back with a few more people and order the big stews & Korean fried chicken.
Loooooooooove the fried chicken here. Amaaaaaaaaaaazing! I would travel across the world for the fried chicken. I would only go for the chicken though. It's a bit of a wait - but it's definitely worth it!
Korean Fried Chicken for the win! We decided to go to a local restaurant in Clayton; Hudadak. They offer hearty Korean dishes along with a few flavours of Korean Fried Chicken. We tried the half half with original and Ganjang Soy and Garlic flavour. It arrived along with the all so familiar steel bone bucket bin and pickles to help you digest your meal.
Had to wait for almost 30 minutes for our yangyeom fried chicken to be ready but its worth waiting for. I personally feel that it tastes better than any other ones i've tasted in melbourne including the newly opened nene chicken place!

Chicken is fantastic, but that's it. If I could rate the fried chicken alone it would get a 10 in taste but for 10 quite small pieces it's expensive but feeds two easily. Everything else on the menu is very average
Very good food. The fried chicken plain and sweet and spicy is amazing. The cold noodle soup is also good. I would give it a higher rating but the service sometimes isn't good. But Its still worth checking out.

One restaurant that I never get tired of is Hudadak. Ever since a friend brought me there, I bit into the Soy and Garlic Fried Chicken ($30) and I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have tried other restaurants' Korean Fried Chicken, but this is the one I get cravings for.
Craving for some Korean food, I dragged my boyfriend down to Hudadak for some late night dinner. A small local restaurant; with a very casual atmosphere and welcoming staff. The first thing I noticed when entering was how humid the place was, it needed better ventilation inside because it got really stuffy within a few minutes of sitting down. They're a typical Korean Restaurant with the typical Korean menu (Clay pot soups and rice, sizzling BBQ hot plates, bulgogi etc), they're signature dish would be their Korean Fried Chicken. I haven't had them before, as they're a bit on the pricey side, but I have heard of good reviews on them. So they are on my ' to-try ' list. © Copyright. Oh I LOVE KFC. This has to be the best KFC in Melbourne. You don't go to Hudadak for the ambience or service, so don't be put off when you walk in.
Sit down and order a basket of any of the KFC and you wont be disappointed. Although, I do think the plain one is a tad dry. I LOVE the honey soy!! SO addictive.
A $30 basket is enough for 2, but you may want to order another dish or so if you're realllly hungry.

Great fried chicken. This is not on Clayton Road, it's just down Haughton Street, which runs off Clayton Road next to the railway tracks.
I went on a Sunday night about 6pm. At first there were only a few other people, but it filled up quickly and looked like a popular place with young Korean Australians.
Seafood and kimchee pancake
The pancake dough seemed a little undercooked in the middle. I'm not sure if this is how the dish is meant to be though. Also, as with a lot of Asian dishes - capsicum and onion are a large part of the ingredients, despite not being in the dish name. Most people don't mind this since these two ingredients are so universal, but as someone who doesn't like either of them it was a bit disappointing.

I tried this to see what a Korean beer was like. It's extremely mild, with no bitterness and almost no taste from what I could tell. But at least I know now.
Plain Fried chicken
This is outstanding. Each piece is crisp and tasty on the outside, and tender on the inside.
Combined with steamed rice and kimchee, it's fantastic.
I'd recommend this to anyone and will go back to try the other two varieties of fried chicken they offer.

This place is open! After having tried a lot of the KFC (Korean fried chicken) places in Melbourne, hudadak wins hands down. Sweet and crispy :D. For traditional Korean fare try other establishments in the area. But for the KFC don't hesitate and order. Beer and KFC is a match made in heaven. Also their other items are amazing. Couldn't get a picture of the stew as everyone dug in srtaight away. Tteokbokki is lit! Highly recommend it. Also btw everyone it's open. I think zomatos having issues.
Amazing fried chicken!!. I and my husband felt like having Korean food on the night and decided to go to one of Korean restaurants in Clayton area where we have never been. We had a look on Urbanspoon and decided to go to Hudadak to have their yummy-yummy looking fried chicken.
The restaurant does not look great from the outside at all (We wouldn't have tried if there weren't good reviews on Urbanspoon...) but we have surprised how amazing they are.
Everything we had was quite tasty. What I have surprised the most was their steamed rice (lol). Most Korean restaurants serve very soft sticky steamed rice but their rice was firm enough and just amazing!!
We will definitely go back there again to have their tasty soy garlic fried chicken and steamed rice:)
There are times when u just wanna order one of their hot soup in boiling hit pots then wash it down with a bowl of hot and sticky Korean steam rice! Ma sit sso yo!
Favourite Place. The best Korean Fried Chicken, always order Half YangNum and Gamjang Chicken. Even Hubby is addicted to their Corn Cold Noodle, sometimes it was just so so spicy though!!!

Dangerous chicken. TOO DELICIOUS.. One of the best places for Korean chicken. My mouth waters just thinking about it. xD The bibimbap in a stonepot and ddokbokgi is also really nice. Service is alright, nothing I'd complain about, but those who are a stickler for these kind of things might have to turn their eye the other way this time since the food is pretty damn good.
Most amazing fried chicken always tender and juicy. The service is amazing and the place is always packed, people wait for it to open! It looks shabby from the outside but you'd be surprised
Best fried chicken ever had especially with the little dish of salt and sesame seeds. My wife and I go here every couple of weeks, she loves the cold noodles. It's a nice relaxed small restaurant where staff become friends. Good service, friendly and cute staff always with a smile on their face. Bit of a hidden gem near Clayton railway station
Was looking for a Korean restaurant locally and spontaneously came to try it out with hubby. We are so pleased with the nice and quiet place to enjoy our meal. Food is wonderful and fresh. We ordered the seafood pancake and two rice dishes. So happy we found somewhere close by that we can enjoy great food in a nice and quiet environment. Will definitely be coming back lots!

Found this place from this app, was really happy with the food. We really enjoyed the spicy cold noodles, makguksu (buckwheat cold noodle) and fried chicken! Might say its the best naengmyun I had in Melbourne for awhile. Good portion for sharing amongst 3 people 😁 Service was great with friendly staffs.
Good food, reasonable price. The space is quiet and cosy. Suitable for small group of friends to catch up and talk without music background or noises. Will come again.
