Went there for the first time with my girlfriends for lunch today and ordered the seafood platter for two..the food was delicious..the service was amazing and the staff were so friendly..and the beautiful view. Perfect place to dine at in the redlands..thankyou guys for your amazing service
Thank you so much. I would highly recommend The Lighthouse. The venue was amazing, the room was set up beautifully and all we had to do was show up. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The meals were amazing, everyone at our party highly spoke of their main meals. Thank you also to Melissa the Functions Coordinator for organising such an amazing, hassell free party. Highly recommend
Even if the food was bad (it’s great), the booze rotten(it’s good) or the staff nasty(they’re friendly) it’s worth going there for the sea salt and wind. The views are sublime.
A pub that butts up to the bay, very special!
We had our wedding at The Lighthouse Restaurant and could not have been happier. Melissa the Functions Manager, Shauna our waitress on the day and all of the bar and restaurant staff could not have been more helpful, patient and accommodating of us, our guests and our requirements. Down to the very last detail The Lighthouse was professional, equipped and flexible. I’ll never have another wedding here BUT I will be back again and again for many years to come x
That is my favourite spot!
Coffee in the morning, excellent seafood for lunch ;), so many diners too!
Friendly staff, food is amazing with beautiful presentation.
Super friendly staff who were very accommodating of my vegan diet. The food was amazing! Beautiful location!
Firstly check the tide. Time your meal so that the tide is in because Cleveland mud smells and brings sandflys and watch the wind as well. That done this place is really good. I had the calamari but the octopus cerviese was the pick of the entree. The seafood linguine was very good but the sand crab lasagna missed the mark despite it being really good in other times. Not a bad wine selection and reasonable priced. So 2 x entree 2 x mains a couple of gallows of wine $160. 2 hr well spent. Attentive staff was good too
Restaurant visit: Great food and location (thumbs up to the kitchen team). Worth a visit.
Front of house service is a letdown - inexperienced and slow (thumbs down to the management).
If you visit, plan to stay for a while and enjoy the view.
Coffee Shop visit: a great selection of treats from the window but service [again] is a huge letdown.
I ate lunch at the Cafe there with friends on a Sunday. I ordered from the Cafe menu, they from the fish and chips takeaway outside and brought it in. I had the Garlic and Chili Prawns, which were large and delicious and came with two small pieces of Ciabatta to dip in the oil. I would have appreciated more Ciabatta as there was plenty of sauce to mop up. The bar offered an adequate selection of wines but the young man serving looked bored. Lovely view and sea breeze but I'll go to the Restaurant next time, not the cafe.
Amazing quality food for a good price. Amazing Spinach and Feta pastry was my favourite thing there. And even on a rainy story day had a great atmosphere and great service. ☺️☺️☺️
We have been going here for years. It is very good to see how the restaurant has evolved over time. Staff are very courteous and always willing to serve the customers - this has been consistent throughout. The location is what makes this place so good. While the menu is not overly laden with variety, what is served on the plate is generally very good. Parking can be a problem at times but all in all, it is a good restaurant. Highly recommended!
Food was good but pricey. The oysters - highlight of the entire meal! They were fresh and sooooooo yummy. Three of us had 21 oysters and that was barely enough for us. The lobster mornay was delicious but was small and pricey and the seafood platter for 2 was definitely worth it, with a whole mix of oysters, prawns, scallops, bugs, fries, calamari and sauces.
Outstanding customer service! Enthusiastic and helpful staff, great to see! Great location with awesome water views and good parking
Food was delicious also! Seafood platter for 2, doesn't seem very big but was very filling 👌
Overall, will definitely be heading back
We were visiting from Melbourne and we're staying in Brisbane and decided we would branch out to find somewhere different. I chose the Lighthouse due to its menu and I wasn't disappointed. We started with the potted crab and the green lipped mussels and shared between the 2 of us. Both dishes were very good, the mussels being a clear winner due to the lively flavours. Was disappointed we were charged an extra $5 for extra bread for the crab though.
Mains hubby had the NZ sole, a whole baked fish. He loved the flavours and said it was cooked beautifully. I had the Morton Bay bugs cooked in a Chilli and lime glaze and they were beautiful. Dessert I decided to go out on a limb and try their signature dish, the baklava with ouzo mousse. Please don't let the name turn you off (I nearly did), it was sensational.
Great service, very attentive and knowledgeable. Beautiful restaurant with heaps of room and lovely view of the sea.
This restaurant provided beautiful views as we ate our tangy tomato baby octopus and delicious fish and chips. Food was good but average, good place to relax and listen to ocean soothing ocean waves accompanied by seagulls.
My boyfriend and I came here for a lunch date on a busy, sunny day and were impressed by all of it. There were no tables available upon arrival so we went to the bar for a beer and white, looking out across the water. Then we were approached directly to let us know a table was available, which was also on the deck looking across the water. The menu was expensive, as you'd expect from a seafood restaurant by the water. But it was enticing! I bought the Tasmanian salmon and savoured every bite, which paired well with the capsicum puree.
The service was excellent and sincere, and the atmosphere made us feel as though we were on holiday. The building is beautiful and displays pictures of its history. There's also a gorgeous high roof to the deck with hanging lights that made the experience feel fancy but relaxed. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a treat.

We ordered a crab pot with ciabatta bread it was delicious very seafoody smell to it tasted great tho, seafood platter for 2 it was very fresh and cooked well washed down with a very nice moscato wine we also had pufriterrolls and buklava for desert the pufriterrolls where the pick of the 2 the buklava was ok still but just didn't have the taste and wow factor tho coffee and babychinos where great as well only downside we didn't get give a bowl for the seafood scraps and very slow clearing dirty plates and didn't ask for if we needed more drinks we ran out of water only minor problems really but could have easily got a 5 star if these problems didn't happen
We were fortunate to be seated at a table with a bay view. Wait staff were cheery and our oysters natural arrived within 30 minutes followed soon after by our flathead & chips and T-bone steak. The meals were basic fare, well presented and delicious. Will be back!
GLUTEN FREE - excellent. Absolutely great place to go for lunch. Four of us booked in for a Sunday lunch, had a table out on the balcony overlooking the bay - brilliant view. I imagine the setting would be fantastic on a balmy evening.
Service was snappy with friendly knowledgeable staff - they would need to be on the ball as it was quiet when we first arrived but boy did it pick up quickly, obviously it has a great rep.
One of us is a Coeliac so everything she eats has to be absolutely Gluten Free and she is also lactose intolerant - not a problem to this team, wait staff and chefs all over it and very knowledgeable. Excellent selection of GF options across the menu.
Excellent meals for all four. Definitely going again. Great place to dine.
Surprisingly nice place!
My gf and I went to get linch on Sunday. We first went to the Grandview down the street but weren't so turned on by their menu. So my gf recommended we go down to the lighthouse. At first, it looked like a cozy little place....we walked in and were greeted and seated at a nice table by the water (be it low tide). We wanted seafood....and the entire menu was only fresh and local seafood. They did have a few other options for non-seafood eaters.
We ordered raw natural oysters and calamari. Yum!
Mains...grilled baramundi and fish/chips with a side of green veg. Yum yum!
Desert....lemon tart with strawberry ferry floss! Triple yum!
We had three glasses of wine and a double dark & stormy. Total: $150. Not bad. Staff were friendly, helpful...toilets were clean....clientele were also nice and upmarket....not too many bogans.
There was also a small cafe attached to the restaurant...which had some tasty treats in the display.
Anyhow...I would return and would recommend! Enjoy!
An absolutely stunning view! Seeing the lighthouse and the water in the sunset was amazing. We ordered a takeaway Fish and Chips Platter for 2, was cheap and great serving size. Loved it!

I throughly enjoyed my meal at The Lighthouse Restaurant. My partner and I dined in with another couple at 7pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was vey busy. The service was actually quite quick and he meal divine. I had the salmon and salsa with an extra side of chips. The salmon was cooked perfectly with many flavors. The only downfall was that they don't do split bills.
Yeah very nice seafood. Had 8 of us at a table, each with seperate, confusing and preferred orders. They were able to cook each dish exactly how we asked and we were very impressed and satisfied. Only downside we found was they brought each dish out one at a time so the 8th person started eating when the first had already finished! Strongly recommend it though just take time into consideration if you have a big group dining

This has got to be my favorite place in Cleveland. The amazing seafood and views just takes you drifting away. The seafood is fresh, the service is great but the price is slightly exy... Still very enjoyable when catching up with friends or just chilling out with your partner while enjoying the sea breeze and the awesome seascape.
Beautiful location, great place to visit at sunset. Amazing crab risotto. Bit expensive but worth the price. Casual dress code. Deff worth checking out A-
Takeaway delight. Not reviewing the lighthouse restaurant, but the takeaway.
Hot afternoon, craving for sea breezes and fish and chips.
Really great spot. Both the drinks and food did come up to a sizeable price. But it wasn't too bad. Crumbed whiting and calamari, cooked to perfection. Very quick as well.
Chips, were not as good. But passed the reasonable test.
Mixed review- bad takeaway, really bad, but excellent excellent dinner service dine in.. So I've excellent dine in, having the earth and sea/ reef and beef / surf and turf, with scallop and mint pea puree and quails as starters. Not inexpensive, but very nice food on a balmy evening. The service was good too and overall we had a really nice evening. On another occasion, we've had takeaway at the fish and chippery and it was overly oily and the fish was of very poor quality. Despite the fish we ordered, it tasted like generic quality white fish. I wasn't sure if they shared the same kitchen with the excellent dine in restaurant (not fish and chips), but would strongly thumbs down the takeaway. The dine in stuff was excellent though, so I'm not sure. I guess if you avoid the fish and chips branch, the rest of the place is excellent.
TAKEAWAY FISH AND CHIPS were my favourite F & C's in Brisbane, but not as good anymore. I will give them another go. Sounds like the restaurant has gone to the dogs. I ate there once and wasn't impressed, I wished I had known the takeaway was there.
The crumbed whiting was fresh and very nice, as was the calamari. Both Greek and garden salads were disappointments as ingredients were cheap and tasteless (yellow mesclun & defrosted tomatoes). The barramundi was average for $12.00 - go with the whiting fillets and calamari.
Ordered the eye fillet steak off the menu.. It was a good wait before it came out.. But it was easliy the BEST steak I've ever had! Very happy!
My husband and I came here tonight for our Wedding Anniversary- pleasantly surprised ! - Great intimate atmosphere, best seafood platter ever had, live music ! Great friendly and warm service ! Nice ambience with candle on table and sunset peaking through blinds def recommend arriving at 7 pm def be back. Best dining experience to date !!
Very friendly service, large entrees and wonderful setting. Couldn't get over the "sanitised phone for your service" to call a taxi! Would highly recommend restaurant. Next time might consider two entrees rather than entree and main. Entree menu was more interesting and servings so generous.
Signature seafood platter exceptional value. We visited last night for the first time and had a wonderful dining experience.the staff were so attentive and helpful, and our meal the Signature Seafood Platter was just perfect.
The seafood was so lovely and fresh, while the cooked food was cooked beautifully. The platter was very large and actually fed 3 of us. Best value platter I have ever purchased.
Definitely recommend and I will be back soon.
A good local restaurant. I have been here many times for breakfast, lunch, dinner, small groups, large groups, and in a couple. Every time has been pleasant.
The food is good. Not amazingly fantastic but I certainly wouldn't say bad at all.
Pricing ranges from cheap pub food prices to a little more upper class so it's good for most budgets I would say.
I would definitely recommend eating there during the day as the views are lovely and give this little seaside restaurant a great relaxing atmosphere. Night time, not so much. You can't really see out onto the water so the location loses its charm but as long as you go there not expecting a mega fancy, upper class experience, you won't be dissapointed. That's not to say the place is cheap and tacky at all.
I'm just trying to give this place a realistic review. It's a good place. I've never been dissapointed here. It's not 5 star but I would recommend this place to anyone.
Dined on Sunday!! Such a be.... Dined on Sunday!!
Such a beautiful location. My family and I love going to the restaurant on the weekend's. Great service, always so friendly and helpful. And the food is always amazing even though it is a very busy restaurant the service and food always seems to be top notch and well done on the new roof. Keep up the good work!!0
Always Nice. From take away fish and chips to muscles and a beer in the casual dinning area and fresh whole fish in the restaurant always very good service and food.
Had my Engagement Party Here
Fast service, fresh awesome seafood platter, beautiful presentation. Can't fault this place!
Casual Dining experience that's slightly special. Beautiful flavours and comprehensive menu of fresh fish dishes to suit any palate. Nice sized wine list and wait staff seem to know their wines and recommendations. Four of us dined, enjoying three courses with two bottles of wine and bill came to 400 dollars. Lovely setting by day and restaurant keeps its atmosphere for evening. 8/10
Jan Sheard. Went with a group for our xmas lunch and everyone was very happy. We were full and the food was what we wanted and expected - great- the setting is very calming with the water so close. It was very busy as it was a Sunday and the service was slow. The staff were just great. It is a place you wouldn't go every week but for a special occasion especially with a group it was great.
Great setting. It's all about the wonderful looking over the bay at this seafood restaurant. There's a very large selection of seafood meals served here with some non seafood options offered. We found the food to be fresh and well presented. Serving sizes are standard however priced a little high. It's a great place to share a meal with friends on a Sunday afternoon.
My hubby & I went for Sunday lunch, as I was recommended to go if you are a seafood lover. They didn't disappoint at all! Food was fantastic and the service by the wait staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back!
Amazing. A hard plalce to find, you think it is a fish and chips shop at first. Once you get past that crowd go deep into the building and this amazing place appears over looking the bay.
I have been twice and I am so impressed with their systems for service, the staff and the mgt. know their stuff.
If you love seafood it is amazing or not, lots of items to chose from.
Its really great and would recommend to anyone. Lunch time is lovely because you can see the bay.
Very special indeed!
thanks

Lovely day out with my sisters family with a large size fish n chips. It was a basket of seafood we took that could feed 4 or 5 of us. The restaurant was beautiful next to the sea. Service was good too.
Great seafood platters & the best Kilpatrick oysters I've ever had. Amazing views over the water as well. Who could really ask for more. I will definitely be back and recommend dinning for young and old.
Beautiful view. Great for a sunny day by the bay. Good variety. Service good. Would be nice if they changed up the menu both wine and food more often but as a local we visit a lot!
Very good take away - both selection and value for money. A picnic at the point is a short stroll!
Sea food platter for two to share. Absolutely amazing food. We sat eating this amazing food surrounded by sea views. The staff were very helpful and would recommend the Lighthouse. We would go again and again if we lived in Australia and when we visit the country again we would definitely go back.
Our meals were delicious, great fresh seafood. Oysters Kirkpatrick were lovely, but a little small, my calamari was cooked perfectly. Great service but the restaurant wasn't busy.
The Bay views are fantastic, gentle waves lapping on the restaurant's sea wall, a very enjoyable atmosphere. The prices were a bit dear but the views make up for it. A great venue.
The seafood were fresh and great. Risotto taste good. Friendly staff that ensure we are enjoying the food. Would recommend.
