Review Maharaja Indian Restaurant - Cleveland

Best Indian Restaurant I have ever been to. Iโ€™ve been going here for the last 12 years and Havenโ€™t found a place that can do a Mango Chicken as good. The staff are always friendly and so polite. Never had a bad experience with Maharaja ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Ordered through Ubereats tonight as we were stuck in quarantine. Had the butter chicken and is by far the best butter chicken I've had. The sauce is SO YUMMY! The only downside is that the serving sizes are very small and a little disappointing for the price you pay online + delivery.

Been looking for a good Indian restaurant for over a year and this place was way better than just good! Some of the best indian food I've eaten and will definitely be back again for more ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Flavour was good but very little meat and small size serves. Also seemed to be very oily and we both felt a bit ill afterwards.

The worst Indian Restaurant. Curries are salty as. Did you guys accidentally pour salt in the pot?
Caitlin
Beautiful flavours but very small for a family pack for $60

Best Indian Restaurant I have ever been to. My family will travel from North side of Brisbane to eat. Butter Chicken is my favourite meal. Atmosphere is nice and the staff are always friendly and so polite. Never had a bad experience with Maharaja ๐Ÿ‘Œ

The food was delicious and the service excellent. The only reason I give them 3 stars instead of 5 is because it took them over 1 hr to bring our dinner for 3 people.

This award winning restaurant Always delivers amazing food. Best on the bayside however wait times can be undesirable.
Our fav go toos are Tikka Masala with a Spinach Cheese nann.

Curries were very watery and prawns were a little fishy smelling, ordered a hot vindaloo and was more medium spice. Raita has grated carrot in it which was a little strange.

Way too Sweet curry,. Butter chicken was way too sweet, sickly sweet like they had loaded with sugar, but not much flavour, Naan bread was foul, dosent taste fresh, I doubt they make it on site probably defrosted, you can't serve bread in a restaurant that's not fresh, not recommended will not be going back

Nice place. Standard. I'm pretty sure I've been to every Indian Restaurant in the Redlands and this one comes in as Standard.

They're not bad but they're not the best.
There's one at Cleveland and one at Redland Bay from what I've seen.

The only thing bad about them is their Butter Chicken tastes sweet..... but so do many other Indian Restaurants (except Jaipur in Wellington Point and Little Indian Palace in Cleveland)

3 Stars

Fabulous Fresh Food. I visited Maharaja with my family on Sat 24/08 after a recomendation. We were up from Melbourne for my 60th Birthday. A group booking for 14 with a table organised, as we had children with us we wanted relaxed. Pleasant helpful staff accommodating our request. BYO fantastic! A menu selection for children, again fantastic. We all had a large choice in the menu. Pappadams light and fresh, Samosa light and fresh delicious, butter chicken excellent, mango chicken divine, garlic and cheese naan fresh and just amazing, pilau rice perfect, raita delicious, beef rogan josh tender excellent, lamb korma delicious, rice fresh fluffy. I cannot fault anything with this food it was absolutely delicious, fresh and ample serves. I have, along with my family eaten at many Indian restaurants across Australia and the world. This I must say has been one of the best Indian meals for choice, quality, freshness, taste and cost. A delicious meal for 14 just under $350.00. When I visit Brisbane, Maharaja will now always be on my list. I thank you for a wonderful meal and service. We shall see you again. Regards Bernadette.

Just one thing.... If they could cook rice properly this place would be perfect!

Its my partners favourite restaurant in the Redlands, so i ho along obligingly. II get the chicken tikkamasa, and for someone who does like Indian, i can actually say this meal is really nice. Portions are HUGE... I agree with matt, anyone who thinks the portions are small must be overeating. The naan is always nice too and service very good

Lol. Dont really know how someone can say the serving sizes are small? its idian?? aoll the proportions are massive. anyone finishing them is over eating for sure. but the food is great. been a regular for a couple of years now. love it

Been a frequent customer for about 6 years now. Whenever we go there I cannot wait for the food to arrive. Best Indian in the Redlands, and we have tried many. Service is good, even when busy, but everyone goes here for the food. Have even driven from Logan once to get takeaway as there was no descent Indian restaurants around the Beenleigh / Springwood areas. And good value for money, T/A is just over $13 most meals, $16 for dine in.

You won't be disappointed. We have been living in Brisbane since March 2011 and have tried numerous indian restaurant, absolutely none of them have measured up to what we were used to in Sydney. A friend suggested we try Maharaja so we did.
Service was attentive and friendly and you are not overcrowded in the restaurant - tables have plenty of space around them.
We ordered butter chicken, palak paneer, plain and garlic naan- both things we order when testing out a new indian. The butter chicken was tender, juicy and full of flavour like the butter chicken I have been used to in the past. The palak paneer was a little lacking but still quite nice. The naan was beautiful and very well cooked. We will certainly be returning to try other dishes on the menu and also for take away. At last we have found an indian restaurant that knows how to cook indian food in Brisbane.

Went based on very positive urbanspoon rating, and was definitely not disappointed!!! Beef korma, butter chicken and chicken biryani were all great, but the highlight was the chicken tikka marsala...the best I've ever tasted! Will be a frequent diner from now on!
