Located on Clovelly Road, this place is perfect for Japanese takeaway. There's a few tables if you want to eat in. They have cheap $12 meals that are a great deal coming with meat, rice and salad or Udons, sushi and sashimi. I had a salmon sashimi salad that was sitting on lettuce, cabbage (I asked for no seaweed). It came out fast and was fresh and healthy.
Everything here tasted delicious and fresh. The sushi prawn tempura tasted a little like the ocean though but other than that, I recommend this place to all.
The rolls sometimes look like they could be made with a bit more care but the rest of the menu is sound and service is always great. Stand-outs are the agedashi tofu and teriyaki beef. I visit almost weekly and it never disappoints - except on Mondays when it is closed for business.
Quality, value, and good service. Very happy with my order - two large rolls (tempura prawn and chicken katsu - very generous serves, super fresh, tasty, and good quality ingredients) and takoyaki (also super fresh, and the best takoyaki I've ever tried).
Quick service, generous servings, reasonable prices, and very fresh. Definitely coming here again, highly recommend it.
I'm super excited to have found Sushi Kun! The prices are good value, with generous portion sizes. The sushi is the freshest I've ever had... I use to think all sushi tastes the same but now I'm not sure if I'll be able to go anywhere else!!

Great sushi freshly made for you, rice flavour is balanced, not too sweet and not too much vinegar, very nice. I feel prices are a bit high but I don't mind paying for a good meal
