Wow! We've lived around the corner and never tried this place until last night. All those times we travelled to Vic Park for average/expensive Indian, and to think we had this gem in our backyard! We had the butter chicken, delicious crunchy samosas and the softest naan bread I've ever had. Wonderful service, keep it up, people of Belmont support local!! Will definitely be back!!
Second time here and floored again! The naan breads are so fresh, soft and doughy. The chicken biryani was the right balance of spice and flavour. The lamb shanks (called cutlets) were delicious, though a bit pricey compared to the other dishes. With an abundance of expensive stale indian restaurants, great to find an overall reasonably priced restaurant with an owner who genuinely cares.
Just had a very lovely meal at Bengal Garden Tandoori Restaurant. Excellent tandoori prawns and divine palak paneer. It's fast becoming our favourite local and with BYO drinks it's very economical. The staff are lovely and welcoming. Hopefully the local community will discover and support this place because we want it to be successful and hang around!
Naan breads were yummy. chicken briyani not so fab. too dry, no flavour. chicken tikka masala delicious. interiors ageing. service could be better
Best Indian food I've have in Perth well worth a visit. We shall be back. Loved everything we had.
Chicken Korma Was Great. Highly recommend, chicken korma tasted excellent.

Sweet 8lb 4oz baby Jesus what a feed! In all my days of eating I have never In my life tasted a better Indian!! You know that feed you get and you think I've ate to much but you just can't stop eating well that is how this went down! I live but not 100 yards from this place an drove by it 100s of times but let's be honest from the outside I thought never am I going to eat in this hole! All said and done we went in to grab a menu and to our surprise the place was spotless! The smells from the kitchen were unreal! Myself and my wife ordered Chicken Jalfrezi, egg fried rice, chips and 2 plain naan bread to share! A f**king taste sensation!! Well more than enough to fill us! The naan bread which we ordered plain was so fresh and obviously made to order just as all the food was just unreal! It takes a lot to impress me and even more to take the time out to write a review which I have never done but if you like Indian, which I normally don't and you haven't tried this place then please for the sake of your taste buds try this place. It who be an insult not to praise this place an to let the rest of WA know of it! I am not an owner or someone connected to this place just an Irish lad who was lucky enough to travel 15000miles from his home town to have had the privilege to taste this heaven! STOP LOOKINH FOR SOMEWHERE TO EAT ON URBANSPOON AN DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR!! This is your Saturday take away...END OFF!!
Unexpectedly good. Was very.... Unexpectedly good.
Was very impressed with every dish.
Definitely recommend.
Super curry saag paneer was yum . The rogan josh flavour full really like ...
So so so good!! This is absolutely one of our favourites. The food is great and the servers are attentive. Definitely highly recommended.
Amazing Indian!. Have been here twice and have been impressed with the food every time!
Both time have gone for an early dinner so the restaurant was completely empty which meant we were served straight away.
Had the Lamb Biryani, Beef Vindaloo and Roti and it was defiantly some of the best Indian dishes I've ever had.
Highly recommend this place!
Nice food. I have been here a couple of times and he food was good, not much of it buried in sauce mainly but lots of flavour.the service is a bit terrible we were the only ones in there once ,two people and i had to go to the kitchen to get water....the only other thing which is everywhere with indian restaurants is takeaway servings in those tiny skinny containers...i got 5 pieces of meat at 20 bucks wow what a rip
wow this isnt such a good review after all ooops....just telling it like it is
What A Find!. I've just moved into the area, though I'd driven past this place 100s of times to visit family nearby. We ordered takeaway last night, it was $55 for 2 people, 2 garlic naans, tandoori prawn entree, 2 mains and large rice. Great value!
The food was INCREDIBLE! Nice and spicy which is really hard to come by these days, the naan was the best I have ever had - light, fluffy, you could taste the garlic.
Prawns were cooked perfect, the mint sauce they came with had a nice bite.
The chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh were really hot, both had heaps of sauce perfect for dipping our naan into.
We both ate until we felt sick and still had plenty of leftovers, I am so glad we gave this local store a chance. We will definitely be back.
Yum yum yum and more yum. Not a big Indian fan, but after eating here I'm a convert. Mango chicken was sensational and the beef Del Piazo melted in my mouth.
Great food - review based on 3 dishes. Ok, my first post but I only bothered registering because of how impressed I was and the place looks family run. Been to most Indian places in Perth and many overseas (including subcontinent), the previous week had the buffet at koh-I-noor, I'm also a frequent at d'tandoor and Agni, if this was a blind taste test this place is equal based on the chicken vindaloo and aloo saag which we had. Today to check, I bought takeaway butter chicken, it could do with a bit of chilli but was on par for base taste. Given the value, This place is great for casual dining. Friendly owner (took my booking) and staff, food was delivered quickly but took a little time to take order given the rush, kitchen is in open view and was clean.
Bengal Garden Tandoori Restaurant. Best Indian food and great friendly service. Fabulous food and such a great price. I highly recommend this place for delicious entrees & mains course. The service was very good and the restaurant and toilet were sparkling clean. The owner is a real good guy. We would definitely return.
Best Indian food! Authentic flavours and great service.. Also very cheap :)
Miss. As a customer I do appreciate the food and the service offered to me on each of my visit. One of the dish I like the most is the Tandoori Chicken which has a nice flavor and the tenderness of the chicken it was a perfect dish for me. What can I say more about this dish its just Wooh. All the dishes that I have tried so far is so perfect in its combination of spiciness and flavor and it melt in your mouth. I do recommend people to go there and give it a try they won't get disappointed. The cleanness of the restaurant and kitchen you feel like eating in an healthy environment. the toilet as well is sparkling clean.
Bengal Bonanza. Clean rkitchen, great service, great food. I cant get enough it. The best Indian and the only one I'm not scared to eat at.
Outstanding. We went on Friday night before going to the movies, very clean restaurant and kitchen, great staff not over bearing but all ways around to make sure your happy and clear your finished dishes.
My wife and I shared the Garden Mix Platter $11.90, it came with a mint dipping sauce for the seekh kebab that was amazing. We the had the Lamb Korma $14.99, Chicken Korma $15.90, Plain Rice $2.50 and 2 Paratha $2.50 each with the Cucumber Yoghurt $3.00.
The flavors were outstanding and melt in your mouth, and the serving's were more than ample. Even if you don`t like hot food there is some thing here for you. We will make this a regular place to dine..
As we left after paying and chatting with the very friendly owner they even went as far as opening the door for us, its the little things like that you remember.
1st timers - loved the food. This was my first dining experience at Bengal Garden with my partner. Our 1st impressions were 'wow' (as we do live in the area) The restaurant it self is fairly large, it is clean, bright and open plan. The first thing i did notice was that it was BYO (luckily there is a Liquor Land near by) The food was LOVELY and VERY authentic!!! So yummy... But definitely for the lovers of hot food, if you are not big on hot food make sure you order their yummy cucumber yoghurt. If i was to fault any part of our dining experience it would have to be our waitress. Not sure if this was her first time or not but she was not good at all. We were not really looked after. We did wait a while for our mains to be served and was not offered any water. The girls at the front desk on the otherhand were lovely and even walked us to the door as we were leaving!
The food was that good that we WILL return!
Very impressed. Delicious entrees, mains & mango icecream. Had voucher. Fantastic service. Received huge serves of rice more than expected. Garlic & cheese naan delicious. Beautiful restaurant inside. Recommend for everyone to go. Will thoroughly enjoy and go again. Ended up having to take our young son too as he just came out of hospital and didn't have to pay much extra for him and he ate some of everything we ordered. Mains we were given wasn't hot (spicy) so can ask for how hot you want them made.
Fabulous food and such a great price. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be going back!
Lunch - excellent. This restaurant has the best Indian food that I have ever tasted. It is also very clean and has nicely set tables and furniture. I couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend it to lovers of Indian food. There were two of us and we went the whole hog and had three courses each with all the trimmings and the total billl was $65 - great value for such good food.
