Review Antalya Restaurant - Coburg

Duros “Duros1394” Eal
Very nice food. Not too dry and not too salty like other Turkish places do. The staff here are very attentive and patient. However I would say maybe they could put a fan in when there's a full house as it gets hot in there real fast.

This was our favorite local restaurant for many years, then due to life’s twists and turns we hadn’t been for maybe 10 years. The same lovely owner remembered us, and we remembered why we always came here - the food is so tasty and homemade, not generic like some of Sydney Rd. Loving the new decor. Remember to book on weekends ir you won’t get in! So pleased to be back. Many happy memories and now some more.

We had a great night. The food is so delicious even though i was full i kept eating. The service was fantastic and I strongly recommend you try the Turkish lemonade.

Beautiful venue. Does get quite loud. Amazing food and very friendly staff. Thank you for the experience

So i have gotten takeaway from this place before and it was okay. Today however, i bought lamb kebabs and all of them were overstuffed with that tek meat and there was no onions, minimal lettuce, tomatoes and no garlic in the garlic sauce. I wouldn't buy it again.

If I can give them less than 1, I will. The manager was extremely rude. His staffs were even ruder. We made an official booking for today's meal at 6.00pm. We arrived at 6.01pm, told them we made a booking or reservation , he was very rude ie the way how he replied. It took us 40minutes to arrive, at the end we went to Tiba restaurant who not only said welcome with a great smile but the food there, was extremely great. Antalya restaurant is the worst place to eat. I don't recommend anyone to go there....

Absolutely Fantastic! A real family-friendly restaurant, great service and delicious food. Have been going here for years...highly recommend!!!

It's a nice cosy place with yummy authentic Turkish food. Love the vibe. Staff is also very attentive. Food arrived pretty quickly

Great friendly service. Meals weren't greasy and were so tasty. Best Turkish in this area . My go to place from now on when wanting Turkish.

Have not been here for a while and I’m glad I returned because the food here is fantastic. So busy even on a Wednesday night so suggest booking.

AMAZING!!!!! The food is soo nice especially the meat, could eat trays and trays of it.
The Tabbouleh was a bit boring, need some more flavour maybe lemon? Other than that really nice food.
Rebecca Elbealy
Really bad table service, which is really disappointing. Completely neglected the fact we had booked prior, then did not offer us to order drinks, but the worst part was they were so rude when we asked why one of our mains didn’t come they were so rude. And when the other did come the chicken was still raw. So pathetic. Will be contacting authorities in regard to the food safety act and health inspector. Utterly disgusted.

Value for money, quick service, I am stuffed.
This is the second time we have been to Antalya and both times were a good experience. The amount of food you get for your money is above average and the service is quick (a little too quick, but hey, I'd rather too quick than too slow). Also, a bottle of chilled water is automatically placed at your table.

The entree of Turkish bread and dips (5 types, your choices) was delicious, with the first serving of bread complimentary. Naturally we asked for more because it was hot, fresh, crispy and oh-so-soft inside. It's almost too tempting to fill up on the bread and dips so we had to try hard to restrain ourselves.
My wife and son ordered the lamb cutlets (4 pieces), which came with rice and salad. The rice was cooked perfectly (who says only Asians know how to cook rice?). I ordered the mixed grill and it came with a lamb cutlet, a chicken skewer, a lamb skewer, some doner kebab meat (both lamb and chicken) topped with garlic sauce. Generous servings of rice and salad complemented the dish. I couldn't finish the plate, I was stuffed full. A lot of times a side dish sits on the plate and doesn't get touched, but the rice and salad were wonderful accompaniments, with the rice being perfectly cooked and the salad having a zesty taste that complemented the grilled meats, cleaning your palate as you went.

The ambience is okay, with Turkish music playing in the background, but the food is the reason we came here, and we will definitely come back.
Megan Lesar
Dips and bread were delish and very quick service. Had the chicken doner and couldnt fault it. Great when you have impatient kiddies dying for a feed only complaint is that its too fast, were still going through entree when the mains came. Would definitely go back!
Chips Before Dips
We had the standard banquet for dinner, and most of the food was very good. We particularly loved the dips with fresh Turkish bread.
The only downfall was the food all came out far too quick. I was still chewing my entree when mains came out, and then again for dessert. So next time I would just ask them to stagger meals a bit more. The Turkish Delight was also a little disappointing and lacking flavour. But otherwise we had a great experience, with yummy food.

Set menu is the way to go. Dips ect were quite nice.. made the mistake of filling up on dips and bread. The lamb and chicken skewers were sooooo good. Seriously tender and full of flavor. Served on a bed of flavor packed rice.

Highly recommend as really good Turkish restaurants are hard to find.
Do They Have Cold Brew?
Food was GREAT, cannot fault it, but service - although very friendly - was slow, even at a time when the restaurant wasn't busy. I could see loads of Uber eats orders heading out, so it may just be a matter of having more kitchen staff on to make sure restaurant guests are not waiting long.
A Black Sheep
Honest portion, fresh and well cooked meat. Authentic Turkish cuisine. Loved the lahmacun, pide was very nice too. However, they didn't have traditional Turkish tea, which is usual for a Turkish restaurant. Turkish coffee was a no no. They certainly dropped the ball here. But overall nice meal. Food is a 4, service 4.5, ambience is 3.5, beverage is a 3.
George David Michaelides
Fresh cheap and high quality meats. Really pleased with the dining experience here last night, make sure to grab the baklava and ice cream to finish off a great meal whatever you choose
Moetfan
Constantly delivering some of the very best Turkish food in Melbourne. Diverse menu, the best hummus you can find. Don’t fill up on too much bread because the meat is worth waiting for.

This is a busy place on a Saturday night. Suggest you book. This place has a great buzz and there was a belly dancer. The menu is pretty extensive. We got the dips, Turkish pizza, pride, shaved lamb, seafood plate, green salad and beans. All the food was great. However all the food was served over a 10 minute period, even though we requested the courses be staggered. We felt rushed, did not have time to allow food to digest and left quite a bit of food uneaten. At the end of the meal we tried to pay with credit card, only to be told the machine was not working.
The food is good but service a little haphazard......
Matthewjjburke
Very generous banquet servings. Lovely setting. Friendly service. Accomodating for children. Food all a bit samesy. Would have preferred a more intricate dish as part of the banquet.
Lois Loves Eating
The food was plentiful and quick in coming to the table. We had the Antalya banquet which included the fish, prawns, calamari & squid. This wasn’t my favourite part of the meal as the fish was over cooked and the squid was very chewy.
The dips, bean and potato salad were amazing .... and the bread..... outstanding. I could have just eaten that and I would have been happy.
The other dishes were good but the first course was truly sensational.

Just needed to improve a couple of dishes that were not cooked the best but overall very good honest food.
It was extremely noisy for most of the time with a family allowing their kids to run around and scream. Not helpful.
Only two staff on the floor for most of the night and they worked hard. Very friendly but not good English. Where we sat it was very hot. Should have asked to be seated in a cooler place in the restaurant.

A great night out.

Very hhhot food even though they forgot about our meal, was worth the wait nice drink & fantastic entertainment, cheap & affordable. Highly recommended, please dont forget other peoples food, 1/2 The table had theres, waiter thought we where sharing Lol, we said still awaiting for ours we ordered this, was worth the wait drinks where not cold.
Balaji Ganesan
Best ever Turkish restaurant. Drooling dips!! Flavourful meat. What else can get better. We chose the Antalya set menu and since my partner doesn’t eat red meat, they were more than happy to replace it with sea food with no extra charges. Good service and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try some yummy Turkish/Middle eastern food and am pretty sure that you won’t be disappointed!!
Saza_Lives_To_Eat
Beautiful food and good service. We had the set menu with seafood. Fish was so delicious and fresh. Couldn't even eat breakfast because I was too full the next day. Don't order the set menu if you are not a huge eater......its very generous. Food tastes real like home made. Only thing I didn't think was great was the Turkish bread. It wasn't as fluffy and risen.
Tolga
Beautiful food, great service and a cosy atmosphere make this place a winner in my opinion. We ordered the Antalya Set Menu and got multiple tasty dips with Turkish bread, salad, potato salad, seafood plate, chicken & lamb skewers on a bed of delicious soft rice. Finished off with homemade baklava and Turkish coffee. You really cannot go wrong with this set menu. There is absolutely no need to order anything else because the food is plenty! And if you are anything like me and eat a little too much bread and dips before the mains come out, you may even have some meat & rice left over for lunch the next day *yumm*
John Somers
I have eaten here a few times. The mixed grill was beautiful. The meat was flavoured well and the portions were very generous. I loved the dip and bread too. Their hot chips were some of the best i've had which surprised me because i wasn't expecting much.
The adana is spicy and ok but not the best i've had. Their pizza was average. Overall a great place to eat the mixed grill a definite winner for me.

Its a shame to have to edit a review. Originally i gave this place a great review but had to amend it due to an aweful experience with the staff running it. Went on a Saturday and was seated at 7:30. They took or orders pretty fast but had to wait for an hour for half our mains to come. 1 of my friends and I however still hadnt received food. We asked them to follow this up a couple of times and was insisted it was coming. However after coming to collect the plates we told them that we still had not received our food. We were then told that they hadnt made them yet as they had run out. After we had been sitting there for 90mins. So we had to reorder and the food which we then eventually received. After this mistake by them however not only did we have to pay full price but the manager came out with all these excuses saying it was busy, but would not admit to making any mistake on there part. Will not be coming here again. Which is a shame as the food is good.

This is our local, the food is plentiful and delicious, we rarely get past the banquet, we have taken many friends here and they keep coming back for more. If you drop in, try the banquet, an assortment of dips, bread, meat/chicken, rice, salad, dessert and apple tea... kids and adults alike adore it. **update, on our last visit the service whilst friendly was lacklustre, slow and needed to be reminded. It was a Saturday night however, busy and we were a group of 10
Jesslin Guvani
Went with a group of 4 and had the banquet, there was bread, all sorts of dip, fish, squid, salad, lamb, chicken, and topped with tea/coffee and turkish delight with balkava. The food was abundant and delish. The service was incredible. The waiters were so attentive and quick.

I've been to a few Turkish restaurants and this place is pretty good! Not the best but definitely up there!
We had two mixed grills, meat and seafood. We also had dolmadas, potato salad and some hummus.
The grilled chicken and doner meats were good, lamb was a little tough. Seafood was done beautifully. The rice was average, absolutely loved the potato salad, dolmadas and hummus were also average.
Overall a decent local Turkish restaurant!

Went here last night with my fiance, my parents and my 7 month old daughter. We got the standard banquet meal and it was soo yum. We found the dips and bread really yum altho my mum thought to much yoghurt. My 7 month old loved the dips and the potatoes in a potato salad. There were beans which was probably my least favorite. Then we got the meat and omg yum. There was a plate of shaved chicken and lamb as well as lamb and chicken skewers. Was serverd with a salad which had a little to much dressing for my liking. Then on to dessert was a piece of baklava and turkish delight. I thought the baklava was great but others thought a tad to dry. You also get a hot drink at the end.
All_You_Can_Eat
Second visit and didn't disappoint, large group of 12, so went the banquet. Food was plentiful and flavorsome. My recommendation is to bring handcuffs, to stop yourself bingeing on the wonderful variety of dips with that turkish bread that could only have come from heaven. Each dish of the banquet is a standout. This restaurant ticks all my boxes, food, service and value. Highly recommend.

A great local restaurant. Fresh, tasty, good value. The people who run Antalya are lovely and down to earth. Dips are phenomenal. Meat and bread also stellar.

We had decided to go out for dinner and try some Turkish food so we can remind our selves of the great holiday we had couple of years ago in Turkey. Antalya restorant provided great service and even better food. Thanks for the great night guys.

We dined here as a group of 7 and unfortunately the only positive remark I could think of was the bread. The dips were very ordinary and lacked the homemade touch. We ordered the vegetarian platter, mixed grill and seafood platter that were way under seasoned and mushy. I would usually enjoy Turkish food when it's fresh, vibrant and tasty, but Antalya failed on all aspects. Give it a miss as there are plenty of others along Sydney Road.

Our online booking didn't get through to them (they said book by phone only) so we were almost disappointed but the staff were very accommodating and found a spot for us. Great food, good amount in the banquet, super reasonable wine prices - how refreshing! The only thing we didn't rate was (ironically) the Turkish Delight.
Sue Bennett
Food is awesome. Completely over ordered. So plenty for dinner tomorrow. Will definitely be back. Got kebabs dips chips and a complimentary potato salad. More than enough for 2 hungry people. service was lovely too. I confused my order but all was easily resolved. The restaurant is so clean. Great value food. Highly recommend!

Got the lahumachun (meat pastry)
And the mixed doner (lamb and chicken shredded with rice, salad and yoghurt/tomato sauce )

Massive portions I felt so full !!!
The Turkish bread there is so soft and fluffy !!!!
Would recommend
The Turkish food here is just lovely. Dips are delicious and fresh and come with amazing warm bread! The pilaf rice is perfection! I recommend you try this place if you're after some quality Turkish food.

I love Turkish food but I do find the standard varies a bit in Melbourne. Antalya though is a solidly good Turkish restaurant. It's not fancy but it delivers well on all key measures. This is a pleasant space which is nicely ordered. The food is rustic in the way good Turkish food is but is consistently tasty. We had a banquet which had ample food and was very reasonably priced. Very nice dips and bread. Every dip was terrific. The bread was excellent as well. There were some unusual additions including beans and potato salad. Mains were great too, particularly the iskender. Desert was the real surprise. The baklava was astonishingly good. I've had so many ordinary ones over the years but this one was a real cracker. Just the right size, moist and nicely not excessively sweet. Spot on. The service was a highlight here. We were attended to with great care and friendliness from the moment we entered to the moment we left. And, by about four staff overall during the course of the meal. It was extremely impressive. There's evident care extended here to customers and enough staff to go around. Conclusion: A very pleasant experience overall. Very nice food at a very good price. This struck me as a well run restaurant which I'd certainly recommend to others.

Great food. Great service. Have been going from there from the beginning and have loved it ever since. Great consistently and flavour in the food. The restaurant feels homely.

Excellent service. I came for takeaway and was so generously treated. They gave an extra dip on top of my order. The food was delicious and enjoyed by the family. Will definitely return.

Great atmosphere- excellent food and very reasonably priced. Very nice service. Took the family and they were well looked after. I would definitely go back again.

Very good. My partner and I have been here a few times and our meals have been consistently great. Mixed grill is a good value big feed for one person and with a few side dishes was enough for two people to share.. The restaurant was fairly busy but our food came out at a good pace and was tasty and fresh and the service was fine..

BeardedBruncher
Ummmmm...yum as all get out!! Flavours were clean and crisp. The restaurant had a very calm and comfortable feel about it even though they were absolutely pumping busy, the food came out quick. Service was friendly and helpful. Staff were attentive. I blame Antalya for the belly I'm about to grow! My new fave!! Nomnomnom!!
Split The Bill
Took the family for a great meal. I booked 1 hour prior and once we got there at 8pm we were greeted by the belly dancer! We ordered a variety of meals from the mixed grill, eggplant, cheese and lamb pide. The highlight for me were the dips! Highly recommend the 5 x variety they were all delicious!!

***
Food was good, enough food for the two of us. Staff are welcoming and attentive. A lot of seating indoors and busy with locals on a week night.

Enjoyed a banquet dinner. Friendly, efficient service. Large servings. Large selection of homemade dips..with a basket full of warm Turkish bread.
Take a break. Next, a seafood platter.. which was scrumptious. Take a break. Next, meat platter.. lamb and chicken kebabs with Doner ribbons and drizzled yoghurt, rice.. scrummy. Take another break. Dessert; Baklava with a small serve of Turkish delight.. and coffee.
Very pleasant. Great value for money I thk. Left feeling happy n full 😄

A friend of mine takes me to Antalya quite a bit because she loves it here. When I've been here in the past I normally order the mixed grill but the past couple of times I've been trying new things. I've tried the stuffed capsicum and it was stuffed with rice and it was also served with rice, this is a great dish if you really love rice but it wasn't for me. I went here with my friend on Saturday night and they were really busy. The staff recognised my friend because she comes here a lot. She ordered the shaved lamb and I ordered the mixed seafood. When the mixed seafood came it had a lot of fish, a couple of calamari rings, a couple of prawns 🍤 and some baby octopus 🐙. I enjoyed my meal I thought the seafood was cooked nicely and it tasted yummy but I would like less fish and more prawns and calamari even if it meant paying a couple of dollars more however it was a generous serving for the price. My friend enjoyed her shaved lamb, I tried some and I liked it. We also ordered the stuffed vine leaves, we accidentally called them dolmades 🙊. Even though it was busy the staff were friendly. Next time I come here I think I'll stick to my favourite thing, the meat platter.

The best middle eastern restaurant I've ever been to. I order the chicken skewers, mixed grill and it's amazing. Their beetroot dip is the best duo I've ever had and great bread too.... like I said best middle eastern restaurant I've ever been to
Maria Tsakis
We came here for a casual Friday night dinner with the family. The food was outstanding, fresh, wholesome, delicious and abundant. The Turkish bread was the best I've tasted, the chicken pide was really tasty but way too much, and the stuffed eggplants were highly recommended by our teenage son, the food connoiseur of the family. We will definitely be back.
Sweet And Sour Fork
The Mixed Grill ($22.5) came with all the trimmings, and was easily enough to feed 2 people (along with our sides). There was the obligatory doner kebab, consisting of lamb and chicken sliced paper-thin so it dissolved on the tongue, doused with tomato and yoghurt sauce. Both skewers were fantastic; the chicken smoky and marinated in spices, and the lamb unbelievably juicy with a still-pink centre. Give the lamb cutlet a gnaw or two, then wash it down with the crisp salad, and fluffy pilaf flavoured with meat drippings.
Elderblood
My favorite local restaurant! The most delicious and generous dips served with complementary fresh Turkish bread. And the mixed seafood grill and chicken salad were so succulent and juicy. So lucky to have this amazing restaurant in my hood.
Penguineats
The standout on the mixed grill was most definitely the chicken skewer, which was some of the most succulent and tender roast chicken I’ve had, kebab or otherwise. The shaved chicken and lamb were heavily spiced and were complemented by the sauces quite well.

The stuffed eggplant was also delicious. It was roasted to exceedingly soft and juicy and stuffed with flavourful minced lamb. The contrast in texture between the mushy eggplant and mince was incredible and was a real winner in both flavour and texture.

A surprisingly delicious meal that kept me begging for more. The cooking was simply flawless and the service was spot on. At this price point, what this restaurant offers is simply incredible.
Mashud Miah
Good honest and delicious food in a well run family restaurant. One of a handful of quality Turkish restaurants in Melbourne. Great service and always busy but enjoyable atmosphere.
Themkc
Came here in a group and ordered a wide selection of the menu. Our starter were the dips selection, which included all the usual suspects (beetroot, capsicum, carrot, hummus, and eggplant) and they were all delicious. In fact, the best part about it was the accompanying pide turkish bread which was warm, a little bit crisp, and soft and chewy in the centre. Just perfect! The mixed grill was well seasoned and exactly how you'd expect good meat grilled well to taste (yum) and the stuffed pepper and vine leaves with seasoned rice, was a good way to round out our meal.

The baklava with ice cream was good (cheap, only $5!) but the ice cream had ice crystals/blocks which had formed on top of it which took away from the texture. Plus the ice cream was really sweet, which didn't exactly counter well with the baklava which is (obviously) extremely sweet as well. That was the only negative of the night for me.

Overall, a good outing. All traditional flavours in a great environment with humble service. Thumbs up!
Jacob P
Excellent food, great friendly service, good value.
The banquet is really good value, and plentiful.
There is a very basic wine selection BUT it is great value.
Overall a very friendly atmosphere and family friendly place. 😀

This place has such a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the food is divine! We had the standard banquet for two, with plenty to take home for the next day. I will return to here many times in the future.

Delicious authentic food!! Wholesome ingredients, lots of flavour -I can recommend the eggplant stuffed with lamb mince, and the warm rice rolls. Great value for money. Lovely attentive service, very welcoming hospitality.

We came in to dine as a last minute decision and we were glad we did. The dips are delicious and easy to fill up just on them. We probably over ordered but loved each bite especially the chicken skewers. We will be back.

Absolutely delicious food and great value for money! We had the standard banquet and was a huge amount of delicious food. Staff were lovely and overalls attentive to our needs. Highly recommend!
Our Foodie Finds
Authentic and delicious. Nice little Turkish restaurant on the Sydney Road strip that serve some great traditional Turkish food. Dips are amazing which go down a treat. Staff are friendly enough although not as attentive as one would think seeming as there wasn't very many people dining at the time we were there but a minor detail. Price is reasonable for the delicious meal your provided and food portions are generous. Decor of the place is dated but I guess it adds to the authenticity. Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!

We had a great night with excellent food and service. We had the lamb Iskender and mixed grill both of which were delicious! We didn't have to wait long before the platter of 5 dips were serviced which were fresh and appetizing!
Generous Serve
This Turkish restaurant hidden on Sydney road was indeed worth the visit. Don't be fooled by the no-frills tables, chairs, wall-paper and the wait staff lookin stressed etc, the food was delicious and worth wondering in. We ordered the 5 dips to begin with, which were pretty tasty. The carrot and beetroot dips wee amazing along with the bread that was baked fresh.

We ordered a chicken and lamb Iskender. Both meals came out within a 10 minutes of ordering, which suited our growling tummies and wow! The bread was not as soggy as other iskenders I have had at other restaurants (thumbs up!), meat was delicious, loved the chicken and there yogurt that topped the meat was delicious.

Fast and friendly, family run business- delicious food, will not disappoint you one bit.
Dave
Great food, really friendly service and fantastic value for money. Keep coming back for their banquets - so freaking good!

What an Amazing restaurant. The food is true Turkish flavor, and just tastes amazing.
This is the only true Turkish restaurant on a street full of many Turkish restaurants.
The staff are always friendly and provide great service.

I highly recommend Antalya Turkish Restaurant.

Great food. Great service. Celebrated several special occasions here and have never been disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. Can't recommend antalyah highly enough

Highly recommend. Went to Antalya on a busy Sat night and was so pleasantly suprised! Staff were fantastic to deal with and food was amazing! Took about 30 mins from entree to main, however that is to be expected on a busy sat night with the herds rolling in. Belly dancer kept us entertained during that time anyway. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend this place!

Thank you Antalya!. It was welcoming and relaxed places. We loved food and service! Delicious crispy warm bread and yummy dips .The highlight was the pide with cheese and garlic and with sucuk. Delicious warm baklava with icecream! It was a great dinner:)

Delicious food. Went to antalya with family this thursday night. restaurant was packed still the food came on time, meat was nicely cooked and we were very happy with the portions. salad was so fresh and cruncy. yummy dips and bread was superb. you can tell the quality of food. really appreciated. highly recommended
Dissapointed
Quality declining?. Going back a year, you couldn't fault the food at Antalya. Unfortunately it seems the quality we all look for with Antalya is lacking. Food seems rushed and cold. Meat has no sauce and takeaway seems out of the question! Small portions, dry cold meat and incorrect ingredients have me wondering.... Decline in quality??
Marita Beard
For $30 a head the set menu included bread, home made dips, salad, mixed grill, doner kebabs, rice, Turkish coffee or apple tea and dessert, super good value and yummy.

The Turkish food is as good as you would get it in Turkey. I have this on the authority of a fellow diner who had recently returned from Turkey. The place felt authentic. It felt comfortable and had an edge of homeliness.

Thank you Antalya!. Wıth an array of Turkısh food to choose from on Sydney Road, am sure happy I chose Antalya to celebrate my parents Annıversary! A+ for servıce, atmosphere, and most ımportantly food!
We had the set menus and everyone was ravıng about ıt. Bread was delıcıous, dıps and salads were so fresh, and the meat was a hıghlıght... Cooked to perfectıon.
Baklava was warm and absolutely beautıful, however I was just so full I couldnt ındulge as I would have lıked.
A bıg thumbs up to the staff who were very attentıve and super frıendly.
Thanks Antalya for a beautıful nıght. My parents were beyond thrılled and I daresay you've gaıned a few extra customers from our guests.

Love it!!!. First time eating here - definitely not out last!! Amazing food, very friendly and clean. Credit to all the staff and chefs!! Tried a grill of mixed skewers, salads and iskender and it was the best I have had, Highly recommended! Thank you!!

Belly Dancing All The Way Home!. There is no shortage of Turkish food in the Brunswick/Coburg areas but this place is one of the best. Our foursome opted for 3 set menus and I had the vegetarian option. If living on bread and dip was socially acceptable, I would be in heaven at this restaurant. Crispy yet spongy warm bread and tons of dips to dunk into- mmmm yummy:)
My hubby said the beef and chicken skewers were lean, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Crunchy salad, spicy beans,
European style potato salad (sans mayonnaise) and shredded shish which was juicy and saucy filled their bellies with bliss.
I had the vegie plate which was equally delicious with a hot pot, rice, dolmades and stuffed pepper.
Coffee and the freshest baklava I have ever tasted topped off a great night. Lovely service, well priced and a roomy but cosy environment all make Antalya a true Turkish Delight (pun intended).
Kevin-marylou
Great food. We went with a group of 10 adults and 2 children and went for the banquet. Probably had too much of the bread and dips as there was plenty of food over the night. The waiter kept an eye out and gave us extra bread and one of the side dishes which we really loved. The food was of excellent quality all round. They also provided us with plates to share a birthday cake we brought along. My only criticism would be that the Turkish delight lacked a little flavour.
I would certainly recommend this restaurant to others and will return to savour its food and hospitality. Much better than some other Turkish restaurants in the area.
Vivien.renzella
Definitely worth a visit. We recently visited Antalya for dinner and it was great! for six people we had the dips and then ordered 4 mains which was more than enough. the dips were light and creamy and the warm Turkish bread was absolutely fantastic! the mains were all great - doner kebab you cannot go past! and the vegetarian platter was awesome - great falafels and the stuffed pepper had a really creamy rice filling. Bring on desert! the Baklava was melt in your mouth - the only thing i wasn't sure about was the turkish delight. having traveled to Turkey we had some amazing turkish delight....i didn't think this was as good but would definitely go back as the food was great!

A little disappointed. Went to Antalya for dinner on Sat. Night. 6 adults and 2 kids. Food was very good and different to ur usual Turkish food on Sydney road. We discussed menu with the waitress and decided on the 6 set menus which included seafood @37.50 each. Two kids meals @10.00. Started with dips and bread which were very tasty however the serves were very small. The serve of the dips were small and for 6 adults did not go a fair way- when l asked the waitress about the size of the dips she replied "there is a lot of food to come" Didn't really answer my question about size. I asked her if we liked a particular dip could we order more and she replied yes. We ordered a second serve of the capsicum dip as part of the set menu. please be warned we were subsequently charged for the second serve of the dip. Not a big issue but l was led to believe if you liked a particular dish on the set menu you could order more at no charge. Mains arrived some 30 mins. later which was a little disappointing as we had children waiting for their mains. Overall l did enjoy the meal although being charged for a second serve dip left a sour taste in my mouth. I will return but l will make sure l discuss the menu with the manager beforehand. I have been to Zara Turkish restaurant for years it is a little dated however the family run restaurant is traditional wholesome turkish food. I have been there with groups of up to 20 people and enjoyed the atmosphere. If you have the set menu and you like a particular item -including one of the meat dishes you will get extra at no charge. Owner is very customer focussed. Antayla was a good new experience but lacked customer service and satisfaction in my books. Maybe l have been spoiled.

Delicious lamb. This is the real deal for good Turkish, the staff are friendly and it's just a little daggy (in a good way). The food is outstanding, lamb and chicken about perfect. My current favourite place for this cuisine.

Great place for authentic tasting Turkish food. This place serves really delicious and authentic Turkish food that is great value for money and makes for a fun night out - especially when the belly dancer is performing. The service is excellent and the owner very accommodating. He happily arranged a special set menu for a large family gathering. There was something for everyone and the portions were plentiful. Everything was delicious but our favourite is the Turkish pizza. Their base is thin and crisp and the mince topping is perfectly seasoned. Looking forward to our next visit.

The best Turkish restaurant in Coburg!. Antalya boasts an amazing menu that is composed of quality ingredients and food that is cooked to perfection! The hosts provide impeccable service and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Look no further for truly delicious Turkish cuisine!

Vibrant and fun. The visit was on a Friday night and Antalya was pumping. We were lucky to arrive just as a table for 2 vacated - otherwise the restaurant was completely full. The atmosphere was busy and fun, with a mix of families, couples, and larger groups choosing the banquet option.

As it was so busy the food did take a while to appear but I think this was in part a bit of bad luck in the timing of our ordering i.e. the peak of the peak. Not only was the restaurant full, but there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up takeaway orders.

I ordered the mixed shish - a skewer each of tender and well cooked cubed lamb and chicken - as I'm always wary of shaved meat but I must say my companion's doner was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and it didn't have that rubbery feel that is so often the case with shaved meat. Additionally, it was not greasy at all. The accompaniments for both meals were the same - rice and salad - which were fine.

A great Turkish place that deserves its popular status.

Best Turkish Food!!!. As a vegetarian and someone who's Turkish it's hard to find a reasonably delicious food these days. I was pretty impressed with the service and the presentation of the food. It tasted amazing. Yes. Just amazing. Vine leaves and stuffed pepper was full of flavour. The dips were fresh and the bread was just perfect... Couldn't have a better meal any other restaurant. Antalya restaurant is one of my favourite restaurant now... I also loved it how friendly the people. It just makes you feel like you really are sitting one of the best Turkish restaurants in Turkey!

Delicious!!!. Went to Antalya for the first time tonight and was blown away. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and food to die for! Best Mixed Grill I have ever eaten! And İ've had a few! What a find. Will definitely be back.

The dips and bread was lovely but the rest of the food was in edible, the falafel was so dry, stuffed capcicum tasted off and contained the seeds, vine leaves under cooked I was extremely disappointed.

NO free meal!. Food was OK, service was very slow considering that it was not a busy day! The menu says "Pide is complementary with any main meal". Yet, we got charged for that! Even tap water cost $3.00 per bottle. The only thing they didn't charge us was the air that we breathed in at the restaurant. A bit underwhelmed by the overall experience. Will not go there again

Wonderful food and hospitality. This restaurant was to be the site of a birthday dinner for one of 6 friends of many years. The hospitality, wonderful tasty food, pleasant atmosphere highlighted with the performance of the 'Belly Dancer' made this night very memorable

What a find!. We had the set menu and the food was faultless. Loved everything that they brought out and the service was excellent. Can't believe that after living in Coburg for 5 years that this was the first time that we'd been to Antalya, but definitely won't be last.

Best on Sydney Road!. Eating at this place is liking sitting in a restaurant in Cappadocia! Kofte and Doner are as good as any place in Melbourne. Been here 5 times, going to schedule in my sixth soon. Took three of my mates here, they were angry hadn't brought them here before. Coffee is also excellent.

Impressed!. A group of 15 dined at Antalya yesterday and were all impressed with the good, service and value.
We were even served two types of Turkish bread! Dips and salad were fresh, seafood was grilled to perfection, meat was well done and service was without fault. We will be dining here more often,

Lovely Local. Love it! First came here about 3 months ago after moving to the area & were SO pleasantly surprised with this little gem, have been back 3 times (& once for take away too) since! The Turkish bread & dips are sensational, we love to share the mixed grill & the mixed seafood - the fish is delicious! A friend recommended the potato salad, which funnily enough, was awesome too! Friendly, accommodating & helpful staff, thank you!

This is one of our top restuarants to go with as a family. They are do lovely with our three girls and the food and drinks give the family an authentic experience as apposed to just a night out for dinner. The food is always fresh and very yummy. Pacing yourselves with the dips is always tricky - too yummy and such an array of dips to try! Thanks for the last 8 years of yummy outings!

We were looking for a nice little Greek or Turkish style eatery for a casual Sunday night dinner tonight. What we received was absolutely amazing! We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival and made to feel very welcome.
Now the food. What else can I say but DELICIOUS! Everything we ate, the bread and dips, meats, salads, rice and baklava all tasted beautiful, worked well together and were presented well.
The staff were so lovely too. We well and truly filled our bellies and it worked out to be great value for money.

We will definitely be back and recommend it to all our friends.
A beautiful little traditional Turkish restaurant!

Nice Restaurant with Beautiful Food!. I am a fan of Turkish restaurants and I've been to a few of them in Melbourne. I tried Antalya last night for the first time with my friends. I ordered Mixed Grill and I totally loved it. Fresh meat. Very tender lamb and yummy Turkish rice with lots of salad. I also ordered Baklava as dessert and it was so yummy. Very fresh as they made it for us once we ordered some since they had run out of them. Very good value for money. Highly recommended to all Good Food Lovers! I will go there again soon
