My son has brought be twice to this wonderful Café. We have eaten delicious food and the staff are very friendly, who are always making sure all is fine. It will always be an option to go again and again. I have highly recommended it to family and friends and also to those who are reading this now.

I and some friends were in Coburg and wanted to try a local cafe, this had good reviews so decided to try it. The service was good , the coffee and the food was good , healthy and a generous portion, however nothing extraordinary. We got the”Dukka eggs” which came we cut veggies , poached egg on toast. The Asian waitress was kind and provided good service. Overall good experience and would recommend. The rustic items in the cafe adds a nice touch to the ambience.

My partner and I had calamari salad and big breakfast with chocolate milkshake and iced chocolate. Drinks were decently sized. My partner loved the poached eggs, he said it was the best poached egg he ever had :)

Came here for brekkie on a Tuesday morning and had the veggie breakfast. It was tasty and filling. The soy latte was very good. My partner had the benedict. He said it was very good and the eggs were poached perfectly.
This unassuming little the cafe offers a great lunch brunch menu. The Mediterranean breakfast comes with labne, green olives, eggs, sausages and pitta bread. There are also vegetarian and vegan choices. The service is friendly and they seem happy fir you to sit on for quite a long time

Absolutely fantastic. Stopped for lunch yesterday with an old mate to catch up. Had the steak sandwich. 10/10 best I've had in years. Service was great, prices were fair. Tea was a bit weak but I was focused on the sandwich.
It's so good to see a place like this on Sydney Rd. It's got affordable food. Decent coffee and friendly staff. More are needed just like this. It's definitely somewhere you can go that you won't be disappointed in my opinion. The down sides of this restaurant are the decor and slow service. The decor is cheap and nasty and it makes me feel like I should order my things to go. The service when its quiet is quick but when it's busy you can easily wait 10-15 minutes for a coffee. These things are easily fixed and overlooked i think.
Food here was so gooood! The big breakfast was what i got and there was nothing bad to say about it. Everything was flavoured and cooked right.

Heard very good things said about this cafe so decided to check it out. The ambience is chilled. Awesome meals and good price, will be back for sure! One thing for improvement is probably the waiting time. I think it took 15 minutes before we got our coffee.:)
Great ambience was noticed when we first entered. Smiles and good humour. The coffee was okay, but the food 👌was fantastic. I loved the food- every part of it. My husband wantes to give the place a 3.5 but! The French toast which was recommended by the staff made it all better. 4.5!

I like hat this place is in the entertainment book, but it's not all that exciting. I find it really loud, and whilst the food is ok, the coffee is never hot enough. Worth it if you are in the area.
Avo smash and veggie burgers are clear winners for me. Customer service on point. Coffee is great. Food is fantastic. Consistently good, staff are attentive, never had a bad experience
WOW what a hidden gem! Went for brunch with a friend after seeing the great reviews and was definitely not disappointed. Great service, friendly staff and the meals were fantastic! Our breakfasts were fresh and delicious, and the coffee was #gorg! Can't wait to return, a must visit!
Can't fault the food here...it is always good. Coffee is great as well. Always have the big breakfast, eggs are always cooked to perfection. Staff can be a little slow at times. Sometimes not as proactive as they should be with getting water when you sit down. But otherwise one of the better breakfast places in Coburg
The eggs florentine were excellent, ham and cheese croissant was a little lacking on the cheese side of things however. I'm a huge fan of the atmosphere, and they did do a decent flat white as well. Would definitely go back again.

The best veggie breakfast I've had in Melbs. Buttered sourdough, spinach, mushrooms, roast tomato, avocado and poached eggs with grilled haloumi and lemon wedge equates to a perfectly balanced, healthy breakfast. Big serving size to boot...

Two Monks - good times. Two Monks cafe has a good vibe, friendly staff and good prices. The open souvlaki was fantastic and made me want to go back and try the other menu options. Supporting of the local arts scene and has brilliant coffee. Function room has some great potential. Also, front table has a map of the area, so you can geographically know where you are in Coburg while having your meal. Definitely check this place out.
Superb. Great friends, excellent food
When I found out Two Monks was opening for dinner I had to go check it out. The cafe has recently come under new management and you could instantly see the improvements. The menu was plentiful and had some great prices! Their penne marinara was great, so many prawns and the perfect amount. I rounded the night off with some great coffee. I would highly recommend anyone give it ago, their breakfast and lunch menu also looked great.

Love it!. Now before i make a such a bold statement, i warn you that i am a man who prefers a good ol home brew cuppa Blend 43.
This joint whipped up the best skinny Latte i have ever tasted! i mean it, without question, THE BEST. The froth was like the smoothest velvety froth i have witnessed, i spent far too long poking it around with my spoon then any sane human should have, marveling at its glory.
The moment we stepped in here with our pram and 2 other tackers, we were greeted by every staff member who walked by or made eye contact. Had the ever so adventurous Big Breakie, the Mrs had the Vegie Breakie, perfect in every way.
I initially was spewin because i didn't realise the eggs were poached, as I'm not a fan of yolk soup all in and around my mushys, bacon, bread, chorizo and spinach but maaaannnnn, they were poached to perfection! the yolk had the same flow as a cadbury creme egg and just oozed ever so slowly with purpose over the sourdough. No chewy bits of fat in the chorizo was the icing on the cake!

Baby friendly. Myself and 3 other mothers and our babies met here today for lunch. the staff were wonderfully helpful with our prams and made us feel very welcome. They can cater very well for mothers groups and we will be back.

New favourite place. Fantastic service. i came in with a friend and had the veg breakfast with scrambled eggs. the eggs were perfect and the presentation was immaculate. my friend had the breakfast bruschetta and said it was delicious. not only were we greeted upon entry but was provided with water as soon as we sat down. coffee was the best weve ever had and came out super fast. trendy place and will definitely be my new breaky place!
New Favourite Brekky Place. Entered with no one greeting us at the door, we asked if we could sit at one of the tables.. after 10mins, we were wondering if anyone was gonna serve us. Eventually, we proceeded to ask a passing waiter for the menu's.
Although, a slightly hiccup of a start, but service was smooth after that.
Coffee came out first, and was excellent!! One of the best I've had in a while.
We ordered the big breakfast and the Coburger!! Both dishes were well presented, and tasted great!!

Great!. Went for the first time the other day, had the Smash and a coffee - both were excellent, the smash certainly something a bit different after thinking I'd seen every interpretation of this combination around this city!

Visited for breakfast for the first time on Sat morning. Very impressed with the menu and the customer service. This was exemplified when the kitchen got our order very wrong and the manager, rather than turning a blind eye to the problem, offered us a 50% discount when we went to pay, with no prompting from us. Coffee was great too, and it's kid friendly with high chairs & a change table. Looking forward to returning and trying a few of the other things on the menu :o)

I like it. Friendly greeting on arrival, promptly offered a coffee and water. Noce mix of brekky options from which i chose big brekky. Dare I say maybe a bit too generous in serving. I enjoyed it immenly. Free range eggs bright and tasty. Coffee among the best I've had in Brunswick. I will be back. Big THUMBS UP

Awesome Food!. This place is fantastic! I just tried the smoked salmon on a brioche bun with two poached eggs which was amazing! The eggs were perfectly poached and the whole combination was delicious! Will be back soon for sure.

The COBURGER is the best burger!. This place looks really trendy, reminds me of cafes on Brunswick St, so surprised to see something like this in Coburg of all places! The coffee is excellent, smooth flavour and creamy milk, just the way I like it. The burger (cleverly named The Coburger) was awesome, easily in the top 5 best burgers I've tasted. The place was really busy when we got there, after having our drinks and food, I can see why! Definitely coming back to try something from the all day breakfast menu.
'The Smash' is a great breakfast/brunch dish. Really like this place.
Great little breakfast place. We had the avocado smash and the eggs Benedict, they were both delicious. Coffee was good too and very well priced. The only criticisms were the service wasn't very friendly, and the mushrooms were cold and a bit rubbery. Overall pretty good, I'd definitely be back!

So after a bit of phaffing about I got off my bum and went off to Two Monks in Sydney Rd Coburg. It's a spacious and modern area appearing much smaller from the outside, decorated mainly in wood (chairs, adornments etc) with some upholstered booth areas, communal table and bars with stools, the detail is good. There were 3 tables out the front if you like alfresco. On arrival the staff member was a bit busy so waited for a min or so but he apologised so all good by me. I ordered a long macchiato and took a seat in the booth area. The coffee was pretty quick and was good temperature and high quality taste. Good start. :) Food: I ordered the ubiquitous Big Breakfast. It came with Chorizo (excellent flavour, colour and texture appeared homemade, so they might do their own but I doubt it, not an easy task), mushrooms (perfectly cooked firm and tasty), two poached eggs, (good yolk colour and soft), Spinach (not too wet good flavour), 5 bits of short cut bacon (was just ok but prefer more flavoursome), a large slice of sour dough and 2 quarters of tomato (much too young but the flavour was surprisingly excellent) I do like a relish or chutney or pickle provided with a big breaky to enliven it but that's just me. Oh and I prefer water provided with a meal not requested. Service was fine, smiling happy most of the time, good. The sweets provided popular with some of the other punters so might be worth a look in. Price point was good $15.80 for the meal and $3.00 for the long macch. Overall I was really surprised with how good this place was for Coburg. Cheap enough for a good breaky, in a place that was inviting and spacious. 7.5 spicy chorizo's out of 10!

What a Fab place Two Monks is. The service is friendly and attentive and the food nothing short of amazing. A must have if there for breakfast is 'The Smash'. 2 perfectly poached free range eggs, accompanied by avocado & crumbled Feta on light Sour Dough - Superb! Two Monks comes Highly recommended

Surprising!. My partner and I were having a wander around Coburg, and decided to try and find somewhere to have a late breakfast. We didn't have any luck until we stumbled upon this gem of a place!
The service isn't fantastic- I had to get up and order at the counter despite being seated right opposite it, and there were about 3-4 staff members floating around (and only 2 other customers). However, our breakfasts came out pretty quickly. Average-sized portions (too small for the hungry boyfriend), but reasonably priced. Good food and coffee.
Great coffee, great food, great service. My son and I went for Sunday morning brunch. The place was bustling, and rightfully so. We'll be back! I can recommend the avocado smash.
