Review Taste Of Thai - Coburg

Stelly
Was craving some Thai food so decided to try some takeaway from this local joint. We ordered pad Thai, fried rice, and green curry. The dishes were pretty average - flavours were okay, although portions were pretty large. The curry was a little bit bland. All the dishes tasted pretty sweet, and the Pad Thai tasted like it had some kind of tomato sauce. Overall, an okay option but probably won’t be ordering again from here.

We loved the food. We took some home and it tasted amazing the next day as well 🌹

I love, love, love this Thai place! I wish I could eat their sweet and sour chicken every day, it reminds me of my mum’s. I like the coconut rice and my husband enjoys the green curry and pad Thai. Friendly staff, food is all halal, nice atmosphere.

Hands down the best Thai I’ve had in Australia thus far. Prices were cheap so we didn’t expect much. We were wrong. Great flavorful pad Thai. Great sizzling stir fry. Great egg fried rice. Also all huge portions. And great service with friendly servers who took care of us. Kitchen was hustling the whole time and they made everything fresh but still fast service. We were thoroughly impressed and will be back. (Pics after both of us served ourselves)

Been back after at least 7 years and the food is even better than before! I'll definitely be a regular 🙂🙂

No doubt wins the prize as the WORST Thai food I’ve ever eaten and amongst the worst takeaways of any stripe; tasteless, overpriced slop. Spring rolls that tasted like old socks and indescribably bad noodles. Would seriously rather go hungry than eat from there again.
Swechhya Gurung
Very yummy. Loved their fish curry with coconut sauce. My husband loved the egg noodles and tom yum chicken was on point too. The portion was pretty good for the price. Coming back again. :)

Tasty Thai Cuisine at a reasonable price. The place is slightly congested, but you forget about the space constraints once the food is in the table. The staff at times find difficult to understand English. Also the place really buzzing with chit chats, kitchen noise etc. If you are after tranquil and quite place, this is big NO for you. But the food is certainly very good and served dishes are of ample qualities.

We had the most amazing Seafood Laksa last night... Hospitality plus... Service plus... Flavour plus.... Loved it! Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Taste of Thai.
Ricky Enriquez
Great food and environment! Clean and open kitchen and the staff are super friendly.

A week or so ago we got food from your resaurant. The rice we had ordered and paid for was missing from the delivery; along with the curry being only mildly warm. I tried to call your restaurant, but no-one picked up the phone; and your message bank was full. After directly messaging them and asking you to contact me, you still haven't. So we ended up cooking our own rice and reheating the curry in order to eat dinner.

Curry puffs 12/10 live for them I actually want some right now too bad I moved from coburg
Leila
Hella decent Thai food! I’ve ordered delivery from them a few times now, different dishes each time, but they all tasted on point. Haven’t actually gone in yet so can’t say anything about the dine-in experience.

This was my first experience with these guys, and in summary I’ll say it certainly wasn’t bad that’s for sure. I’ll give them value for money in terms of portion size. I ordered a coconut rice, pad Thai with chicken, curry puffs, and Thai fish cakes; coming to a tad over $44. I reckon that yielded me dinner (plus seconds) with plenty of leftovers for the next day.
The fish cakes were really tasty, and had the chewiness I enjoy in this dish. The pad Thai was really tasty, and not too oily as these things can often be. I think the only addition I can think of with the pad that would be maybe a wedge of lemon to squeeze over, but that’s just me being high maintenance. The curry puffs were tasty as well, but I might try something else instead next time.
Overall the takeaway service was quick, food was great, and I’ll order from here again.

The manager of thomastown brand was very rude when we went to talk to her as we have arranged a partyof 30 people & wanted to discuss things
Akeem
Whole steamed barramundi not fresh. Tom yum soup too sweet and not spicy. Pad Thai overly sweet. Furthest thing from Thai food. Very disappointed
Eatenbymae
Average at best. A group of 5 of us came here to dine. The Tom yum soup was very salty and they used an instant tom yum paste which was disappointing. The other dishes were nothing outstanding. Not rushing back even though it's the closest thai place to me.
Sarah
Ordered Tom Kha - the coconut milk had split. When returned, it came back just with extra coconut milk poured on top - really poor service!!
Baira
I ordered chicken laksa from Uber eats tonight and was very disappointed. It was very well packed good quantity but was tasteless and the soup was so watery. Definitely not the laksa I was craving for :(
Ann T
Ordered Taste of Thai off menu log. Food was okay. Ordered some chicken fried something and got a simple average chicken nugget that could be purchased from the freezer section at your locate supermarket. Half filled sweet chilli sauce container to dip our spring rolls...

If you're into Thai food this is the place to go. The food is very nice. The only suggestion here is giving the actuall place a little bit of TLC otherwise lovely place.

Me and my boyfriend’s favorite Thai restaurant! Believe it or not this is one of the main reasons we chose Thailand as our first place to travel to together which was an amazing holiday!! Their food are great! The people are amazing! The first 4 photos are the restaurant’s.. the rest are photos from Thailand 💗

Worst Thai food I’ve have in a long while. Took the risk on them as they came up as #1 on trip advisor. Should have listened to the negative Zomato ratings though as they are right.

Papaya salad was the most disappointing. It was soggy, dripping in overly sweet dressing (was not balanced at all) and had absolutely no spice. A papaya salad with no heat? Rubbish.

Pad Thai had a weird texture and was seriously lacking flavour. Thai food with all sweet and no sour ? Rubbish.

Coconut rice was gloggy and stuck together so it came out in awkward and messy clumps.

Curry puffs were more like the ones I’m used to from Indian restaurants.. they were ok, just a little potato-ey.

Roti and peanut sauce - good actually, sauce was nice with a fair amount of heat and it didn’t have a weird metallic aftertaste like some peanut sauces have. Roti was really tasty but you only got one piece

The green curry was tasty to be fair, but if you can’t do a green curry right then you’re f***ed. I opted for the hot option and wasn’t disappointed by the heat... although it’s definitely not an authentic ‘hot’.

I read you can ask for them to do the spice authentically, although there was no comment option on the Menulog app so didn’t. Should’ve. Would have at least masked the fact that their balance was way off.

Their customer service was good on the phone when I called up to add my forgotten rice.. so I feel a bit bad about this review.

There’s so much good Thai in this city though, guys. Step up your flavours, please! And have a little faith in us white-folk that we can handle a little heat.

Don’t go here if you care about quality. It may be a bit cheaper but it’s not worth it.

✌🏻✌🏻

Stir fries aren't bad, fried rice rather bland and noodles drowned in galic and sugar. Yep, sweet garlic noodles...Deep fried entrees are better missed

A place to get my Thai fix if I'm around the area.
I would say this would be one of the better Thai restaurants around the vicinity.
It's always really satisfying when you look at how the chefs prepare the dishes. Them huge woks and ladles.
If you're looking for value, this place does generous serves of everything.
However, the coconut rice was one of the more disappointing downs of my visit.
Yes, they do great dishes. But if the rice ain't cooked to perfection, it drags down the overall taste and experience.
You try and decide for yourself.
John Somers
Taste of Thai makes very decent food. I will say that the first time i went the food was too mild for me but still very tasty. I was told at times they make the dishes mild for the Westerners palette.
However, if you ask them to make it authentic Thai spicy they will do it. Their Thai fried rice was very nice, chicken satay very good also. The pad thai was great as well.
The staff are very friendly and the portions are generous. So if you like the food spicy just ask them and you will have a good meal.

One of the best Thai food experience at this humble place. We ordered chicken green curry and beef chilli fried rice. Both was amazing and proportionately seasoned. Service was good. We recommend this place for being within budget yet for serving quality dishes. We’ll return here again.
KC
I love this place. I have tried 9 different dishes so far and only 2 dishes were not to my liking so it’s actually my rating is 4.8. The atmosphere is an everyday dining, and not fancy one. A place where you could enjoy your close friends and catch up over seriously tasty food! Chilli lovers, this place is your hot destination, they have 4 different kind of chilli condiments that you would be happy with. Their price is great as well considering other Thai places start at $20. This one is $15 for beef or chicken AND they have lunch specials for around $12!

I ordered Pad ke mao. I made certain spevifications like extra peppercorns and spicy. The dish did not vome with any peppercorns and the waitress could not speak english at all.

I received my food in good yime, but it tasted terrible. I would not recommend this place or be returning.
Corahahaha
bad eating experience…everything was too sweet and gross, even though we were extremely hungry, we still couldn't stand the strong tomato sauce with every mouthful of food
SoulFoodFan
I'm actually a cook and thought to try this restaurant due to the reviews. Ordered chicken pad Thai and duck soup noodles. Order arrived over an hour later. Proportions are small for the price compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. We noticed as we were waiting for our food that this restaurant is run by Muslims and not Thai people which explains why it's popular and overly supported among the Muslim community.

The food is average to poor quality. Pad thai was dry, was cheaply made with tomato ketchup and tasted terrible; too sweet and no flavour of real pad thai and only beansprouts. You should never make Pad Thai with tomato ketchup in a professional kitchen! Duck soup was from a packet, the soup tasted like gravy and had no Thai flavours but a lot of packet spices. Again, just beansprouts and no other vegetables.

Would not order from here again. Reviews on Zomato are misleading and we think must be biased towards their faith, not the food.
It's only my opinion and you can try it and put your own review if you agree.
The Good Life
Ordered online to try something different. I chose this place as it had a lot of reviews and seemed good. Not genuine thai food, tasted like something out of a packet. The acidic taste of what seems like tomato sauce stood out. Very bland and acidic, could not finish eating it.
SweetSwedeFoodie
Love the pad Thai with fried tofu. The coconut rice is delicious. Big servings and nice staff. Very affordable, considering the big portions.
Mitchell Blunt
Best Thai I've ever had. Restaurant ambience was great. Open kitchen meant we could see fresh ingredients being prepared. Range of menu items was phenomenal.

Only found this place because their menu popped up in our letterbox. Totally worth it.

Will definitely be back. 😀

My favourite Thai place !!!!

Never ever had a bad dish here!
Always get their pad Thai and mussman curry with coconut rice! Everything is so tender and it has so much flavour ! Their spring rolls are also so big and crunchy!
The servings are huge I always takeaway and eat it the next day and the prices are so cheap!

I'll always be happy to go here :)
Only downside is it's cash only

My partner and I regularly order takeaway from Taste of Thai Coburg. I have a shellfish intolerance but am ok with fish sauces. Everytime we place our order though MenuLog the restaurant phone and confirm this intolerance. They are always polite, friendly and consistent. Food is delish - 5 star!!!

As I'm a foodie somtimes i judge dining areas and smell .. dining area slightly cramped... they need to extend seating for added comfort... rent next door please. ..😉
Otherwise... always clean ... Everyone is friendly starting from the owner to the cooks and service people ....
Have been dining in and have had take away since they opened...
Food consistent and tasty... quantity well above other Thai restaurants and most importantly VERY WELL PRICED...
So good for Coburg. .. we needed this Thai restaurant. ..
Very tasty food tried for the first time today I would recommend to others! Will definitely order here again and even better that I can use Uber Eats to get the food delivered.

I ordered a Chicken Pad Thai ($13.50) and Salt & Pepper Shrimp ($19.00) takeaway through Menulog. The food was disgusting and I could not even finish the food at all without having to vomit it back out.

The Chicken Pad Thai had no "bean sprouts", "eggs" or "crushed peanuts" as mentioned on the menu. It was simply just a full box of rice noodles, 3 pieces of thinly sliced tofu, scrapped pieces of chicken (which I paid an extra $1.00 for), lemon and 3 pieces of spring onions.

The Salt & Pepper Shrimp was simply just fried shrimp in unknown flavoured batter dumped on top of one piece of mixed leaf with chilli, spring onions and carrots. Unlike other restaurants that serve Salt & Pepper [anything], this tasted nothing like it and has no taste at all. It was simply just "decorated" fried shrimp in it's own taste.

I will not be ordering from this restaurant again and will of course never step foot in their store. I can't believe I spent close to $34 including delivery for this kind of food.
Fresh food and really good prices. I've never had anything bad or bland here. It's one of the better takeaways in the area. As for eating in.... we went a few times and it was ok. Not great service but adequate. I won't be back though. As we were eating our meal, the staff literally came up and took all our food and moved it to the front of the restaurant without asking. I love multicultural Melbourne but I don't appreciate being shoved out of my spot half way through dinner so a family of a different religion and culture to mine can eat without me in their vicinity. Had we been asked to move I would have happily obliged as i can only imagine how difficult it must be to find a restaurant that cater for women wearing hijabs. But the way the staff went about it here was terrible. It wasn't just us either. Other families were packed up and asked to leave as there were no more tables available. It's a shame really because they have some great food options here and I love to support local businesses but sadly for me and my family we're out.
Nina Avdic
Absolutely disgraceful service and food. Ordered egg noodles with chicken and the food came out tasting like fish. Sent it back to the kitchen. Bill came and I was forced to pay for a meal I literally took one bite out of. If I could rate this place a 0 out of 10 I would... Diner beware

The only word I can say about this place was 'DISAPPOINTING". Being a thai cuisine lover, we went to try this new place. We ordered chicken dim sum for entree, bbq chicken noodles and a laksa. Bbq chicken noodle was average in taste, talking about laksa it wasnt anywhere close to what it should be. Plus they did not even have proper soup spoon cutlery for it. But to the surprise there was no sign of entree and we were halfway done on our mains. When we asked for entree, the server told us in return that we should have told them to get the entree first. WHAT CRAP, doesnt that what entree means??
We also took pad thai as takeaway which was equally bad.
All in all a very bad experience and would not ho back here again.

Its a cosy restaurant with a fairly visible kitchen. Well they are cooking in the very same vicinity. Well of course the restaurant is fairly clean and also a rather busy one. Not to forget its noteworthy that they do not add msgs in the food. For the vegetarian hubby we tried out tofu starters and yellow curry along with coconut rice. Departing from the usual the curries do not come with rice accompaniment. The chicken green curry was fairly decent. I would go for it again in all probability.

One of my favourite places ever. Food is consistently good and service is usually pretty quick. Place is very busy usually so its great they have opened up other branches as well.
" THE " CRITIC
Have been here once and ordered takeaway a few times. They do a good job. Not really my cuisine I do like to change it up a bit though. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Can get really busy at times.

Ordering food for delivery and got a very bad Spicy noodle, they were not spicy and no test at all, I wonder if I can ask for refundable. Not authentic Thai. This is not 😡
Jenni Thorman
I order from TASTE of Thai via Uber Eats. The driver found my (usually difficult to find) house easily and was very sweet and kind...unlike the food which was just the right amount of spicy, complex and divine! I will be ordering all my Thai from here now on. Thank you guys!!! I only got this app because I loved your food so much.
The Girl With Blue Hair
Ordered takeaway over the weekend and definitely not impressed. The gravy with Prawns for the crispy noodles had the consistency of a soup. Despite having to add $2 extra for seafood dish, there were only four prawns in total. Didn't enjoy the rest of the food at all. The only positive was the delivery. It arrived within 45 minutes.

This place never fails to please your tummy! Been here so many times...every time ordered a variety of their food but always have ordered their grilled beef! OmG! Om nom nom nom! Such tender succulent pieces of beef grilled & marinated in this amazing magical marinade served with some juicy sweet chilli sauce with a spin! Mouth watering!
MMAT Community
Want the best Thai food in Melbourne? Look no further. This place is almost always full house during peak hours, and more particularly on weekends. They are very efficient with friendly and prompt service, it's no wonder why. There is usually not a very long waiting time even though it can get relatively busy with eat ins and take aways.

There are plenty of options on their menu with at least 5 different choices from each sections of their entree, mains, stir frys, rice, noodles and soups. Dishes can get quite spicy so make sure you request for non-spicy if you aren't a chilli fan, alternatively there are other noodle or rice dishes that aren't chilli based. Their mains are large enough to share so if you're not having your own meal, it would be ideal to share a few different dishes with others so you get to try a variety of things. They also offer a range of meats such as chicken, beef, lamb, duck, seafood and tofu/vegetables so there is something for everyone.

Cost can be a little more than most asian eateries but it will be worth every cent. You will even end up overeating because you simply wouldn't want any leftovers to go to waste simply because it tastes so delicious. Further more, how often do you get to eat Thai? (Unless you're either Thai, a really good cook, or married to one.)

As the restaurant can get quite crowded during busy times, it's highly recommended you book ahead to reserve a table (or two) and do try to avoid bringing prams. Staff are exceptionally friendly towards kids and will feel very welcome there.

Read more reviews at mmatcommunity.com

Serves up a mean chicken Pad Thai, can easily feed 2 with the quantity given to me. Special lunch deal which meant I got a free soft drink thrown in as well. This restaurant has moved to Broadmeadows which is the branch I visited.
Nicolexia513
Order Stir Fried Satay Prawn to take away which costs me $20,but it only come with 7 pieces prawn😂😂😂 . it is a waste of money, would never have sth in this restaurant!
Mariam Khodr
I have been coming to Taste of Thai since they first opened on Sydney road. In my opinion they have the best Pad Thai in Melbourne. I've never been dissapointed by a meal here, I've ordered many meals and they all are delicious. Good prices, especially during lunch time!
Seriously cannot go wrong with this place. People seem to say that communication is an issue but I've had no problems.
Amee
We ordered a lovely meal from here. The owner greeted us with open arms and the taste of the meal was authentic and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the beef (steak?) dish we ordered which was different to other Thai dishes I've ordered in the past. We will definitely be going back for more! A few more sit ups and I should be right 😂

GREAT FOOD< AWESOME PRICES, go for the soup and the fish is great too, I enjoyed everything about it, highly recommended. Down fall, always busy.
Beau Brendon
Amazing Thai, especially their satay sauces and chicken skewers. Mixed vegetables with steamed rice is my go-to almost every time.
Pradeep Rajkumar
They messed up my Tofu veggie pad Thai and lame staff & chef...Attitude with communication problem...lame ambiance...

Cannot understand English or a foodies culinary feel..

Wasted $12.50 for a padthai which is not even worth spending....sarcastic...

I left the food and came out straight away...
Not authentic...I was humiliated...

Dirty kitchen please avoid mates...Highly not recommended...
The Endless Pit
Great place! It's halal serving...
Bang for the $$$! Loved the green duck curry, going there again. Coburg, more visits from the west coming in...
Yumyumfoodyum
Surprisingly good Thai. Ordered delivery, which came before the estimated time, SCORE! Had the pad thai, which was flavoursome and not dry, could have had a few more bean shoots. The green curry was also very nice, this had a good ratio of meat to veggies and not cheap filler veggies either.
Rawaan Osman
Since they started to accept electronic payment we have been there several times since, as the food is flavoursome.
Today with my family went there for dinner, with an order worth $91.50. Just upon completing our dinner we were given the bill. My family and I were contemplating desert when we were asked to move to next table as another customer required our table. Please note that there were many emptied table at that time. When confronting the staff, no apology or recognition was expressed. Instead she smiled continued to take payement in full and mumbled amongst themselves in a foreign language. I felt i was not valued as a customer, and would like other's to know your just a $$

Great food, good service. Always busy. Private screens available for private eating for Muslim women. Eat in or take away - both will be satisfying.
Teomelvin39
Food: When someone touted their dish is chicken made with traditional thai spices and methods and it doesn't turn out the way it is, i won't be nice I'm sorry. I do not encourage the use of certain words if the restauranteur cannot deliver it. The chicken is a let down; very Chinese way of cooking method. Tom Yam soup made with dried Chinese red dates and cloudy looking? Hmm...
This place is certainly not authentic Thai but rather fusion-like.

Service: was not given any menu after seated.
Adam Walton
good food, average service. always difficult to order over the phone so now i only use menulog to order from the place.
sometimes very slow to deliver.
and often forget to deliver drinks
Arnold Keith
We had the green curry, red curry and the cashew nut chicken, the taste is very traditional taste like the Thai food I had in Thailand. Taste 8/10
The service is very friendly but the lack of English skills make it difficult to communicate and get your order 100%, some mistakes did happen but they were gift instantly with an apology. 6/10
All up 7/10
Good Food
Best Asian/Thai food I have had in Melbourne. Quick service Tasty food and nothing can go wrong with the order. The portioning is also pretty good and a serving is more than enough for 2 people. We usually order the Satay chicken and Singapore noodles. The calamari rings and golden prawns were also good. About $35-50 for a couple which is Fair enough.

The food is good. I just lived in Coburg. So it is a quite convince restaurant to drop by. I ordered BBQ chicken with fried rice, which tasted good. The con is I waited for nearly half an hour to have my meal. There are many customers in the restaurant. Don't understand why they served me so slowly.
Thegormondiser
Every time a new Thai place opens in Coburg, I get really excited. Perhaps this one will finally be good? Nope. Disappointingly bland Thai food. Relatively friendly staff. Avoid the Tom Yum.
Mahs
I have been a regular customer here at Taste of Thai since they have opened on Sydney Rd. The food here is so tasty and authentic. I have tried tried the chicken satay, the BBQ chicken and the Thai fried rice. All of the dishes i have had where full of flavour definitely worth it. The prices are very fair as well ranging from 12 dollars to around 18 dollars.

Service here has been always good, even when the restaurant is busy which seems like it always is the food gets to s very quick and the waitress is always helpful with the dishes that we don't know much about.

Went along on a Sat night. Wasn't too busy, fast and friendly service. Ordered a Pad Thai and a curry, food was fast, very tasty. Bill wasn't too expensive, we'd be back for sure!
Nathan OpdeCoul
Very tasty meal, it was a little quiet when were there on a Monday night. The restaurant was a little and the front door needs fixing, but we really liked the food
Benjamin Murphy
A little pricey for thai but the food was solid. The menu is lengthy. If you order anything with spice... well expect it to be hot! Quick take away
Naiker
Came in for a late dinner. Food is slightly pricier than usual but the portions are big. Service was good. Quick. We ordered Pad Thai and grilled chicken with egg noodle. I believe it's authentic southern Thai as it can get. Worth the try. Over all a 7/10. Will be back again.
Brain.and.pinky
Awesome family Restaurant. As a family we have Been coming here for nearly 3years. Always clean and fast lovely service. I have always been welcomed at the door fast. I could eat here every day!!!

Meh!. It's good to see decent-looking asian trying iits arm in this heavily middle eastern block.

however, having eaten here seven times at least (it's close to home and ying thai 2 doesnt deliver...) the food is rarely more than pedestrian. the service is often indifferent, too - so be warned.
Annaleiseross
NEVER GO HERE!. We ordered food which took an hour and a half and then nothing on the order was correct. I called several times to check the order and delivery time and was assured it was correct of which IT WAS NOT!! I asked for a refund and the delivery man returned to give it to me, however, TOOK THE FOOD he had delivered off me. I ended up waiting over an hour and a half with no food. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
Energie_gs
Great lıttle fınd. Beautıful fresh food ın a no frılls place. Satay was a hıghlıght. Defınıtely be back.

Took my family for lunch. Walking in it was a bit smoky and hard to breathe. They switched on air con for us as it was warm inside. The entrees were fresh and tasty. The lunch specials were large portions and good value, came with a drink. My only negative was the Pad Thai was a bit heavy and gluggy. Not your typical Thai restaurant, but I would definitely go back.
Facebook User
Forgot your order. I ordered ahead so I dont have to wait my lunch break is only half an hour. Got there to pick up only for the lady behind the bar to tell me sorry we forgot your order. mind you there was one table of 2 pple in the whole place .. never again

Are we in Thailand?. What can I say this our second time ordering take away from the restaurant. It's top notch, authentic thai. Hubby and I are frequent travellers to Thailand (non touristy areas) and this restaurant has it all plus more. The menu is dynamic to suit every customer, there is a large vegetarian range too. We can't wait to dine in and taste more of Thai! Some nice surprises include the chicken dim sim and the bbq beef was to die for. The curries, pad thai and fried rice are great too. Yum!! So happy to call this place my local. They even do delivery too. I do hope it stays the way it is except for offering credit card payment facilities.
Coburg Dweller
Great food - as long as you order the right thing!. Just back from dinner at Taste of Thai - thoroughly enjoyed my meal - stir fry tofu with chilli jam and cashews. Heaps of flavour, lovely tofu and plenty of fresh and perfectly cooked veggies. Super friendly staff. Would have liked more tofu, but that is my only complaint. Having said all this, I've had take-away from here a few times and haven't been so impressed, possibly because my husband ordered dishes that involved a lot of deep-fried stuff which I don't particularly like, and possibly also because it wasn't straight from the wok to the plate - 15 minutes in a take-away container doesn't help. So yes I would recommend, but I'd say eat in and choose carefully from the (very extensive) menu.
G.batten
Disappointing. Again the takeaway order that was promised 20mins turn into 55 minutes. This is not the first time but the last time for me...
Paul Doughnut
Excellent quality. good size serves. good service.
the food is cooked by southern thai chefs in an open kitchen.
the jungle curry is particularly authentic. the plaa choo chee is delicious.
highly recommended.
Mireille
Really liked the food here! Was very fresh and tasty, service was friendly enough and quick despite how busy it was and the it was very cheap. And for anyone that is interested this is a full halal restaurant. Can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.
James Wong
Yummy. Had a lovely dinner here tonight. Very tasty and the service was friendly and food came out fast.

Love it. We go there once every two to three weeks. their traditional thai food is too good. but i was amazed by their prawn salad (sorry i dont know the real name, its salad with battered prawns in them- horrible at describing things) but the salad itself was fresh simple and just too good. top anything off with deep fried prawns and im a happy camper.
love the food. just their door has some issues with opening and closing. in the melbourne winter, DO NOT sit near the door. love love love it.
And (i dont know if they still do) but if they sill have the *no eftpos sign* its crap. they do use eftpos!!
Vonlutge
Yummy!!!!. The green curry and Tom Kha are absolute must haves. Fresh and authentic. I'll definitely be back! Thankyou!
Josephine Gonzales
Love it--. Love it.. i have been a regular customer here for a few months now. lots of friendly staff, great food...
Rebecca_love
Slow and boring. Ordered online. Took nearly an hour and a half to arrive. The green chicken curry was average at best, the spring rolls were ok. Wouldn't order here again.
Apu_139
Great food. Really good food. Service was nice! The food tasted good and the everything is halal which is greater!
Andrea Owen
I ordered the Penang curry with chicken - it was absolutely delicious. Loads of chicken AND vegetables. I ordered on menu log and picked up - it was still piping hot when I got home. Definitely found our new local Thai.
Ilovefood
Came to this place upon recommendation.. I completely understand the place is Halal but my girlfriends and I were met with dirty looks and stares. It made the evening very uncomfortable & was very hard to relax & enjoy our meals.. Very male dominated, probably the worst dining experience I have had!
LJK
Convenient take away. Ordered online and delivery was quick and food arrived hot. Very convenient. However, if you eat lots of good Asian food don't expect too much - it's OK for a lazy take away night
Nudiefoodie
Genuinely the best Thai food going around the area. It's delicious! Food is authentic, fresh and portions are definitely generous for what you pay. The food is absoutley fantastic - especially the curries.. Also just a side note for all of those commenting on the curtain - it's used so Muslim women can remove their head scarves and enjoy a meal out without restrictions - nothing to do with any other reason so keep the naive ignorant comments to yourself! Definitely give it a try!

Great food! My pad see ew was fresh and tasty. Service was quick but not overly attentive. Decently priced. Overall a good option for Thai in the area!

Great food at reasonable prices. Been here 3 times. The salt and pepper squid is amazing. Everything i've had has always been so fresh and tasty. One of the best Thai places in Melbourne.

All of the ingredients are always beautifully fresh and portions are generous. The staff are all very friendly and the service is fast even when it is busy. It is always the first place we think of when we want takeout in Coburg.

Great service with very tasteful food. Considering how crowded it was our meals were served pretty quickly. Would highly recommend. The bbq chicken is a must try delicious and very tender.

Great food. Bit of a wait but it was full house. Good service. Could do with a waiting area for takeaways. Otherwise loved the food

Waiting. Couldn't tell you how the food tastes. Two hour wait for delivery and still waiting. Woeful.

Great alternative to Kebabs in Coburg. Although it may not be "authentic Thai", this place serves the freshest food and is a welcome change from Kebabs in Coburg. Try the coconut rice, its creamy and so delicious. The crispy chicken with noodles is tasty also. They use good quality produce. The service is always friendly and welcoming and the food comes out at quickly. I find it hard to decide what to eat. Thankyou for bringing something different to Coburg.

Cheers
Laura

I took my two boys last night for a quick bite and what a great surprise.
The menu had a great selection of starters and mains and could not decide so we had three starts and two mains and that was plenty.
The service was very welcoming and efficient.
Great food and service! I'll be back for more.

Very disappointing. The food here was really disappointing. The green curry had the strangest taste to it - almost chemical type taste. We ordered 3 dishes and none of them were at all authentic. More like an asian fusion - straight out of a jar. Very oily. We left half our food. It is hard to get good Thai in Melbourne but this place does not even come close.

Chicken satay skewers were very tasty. But I was disappointed with the pad Thai. I'll try a different dish next time.
We phoned our order through and picked up. Friendly staff.

Taste of YUMMM. Got told of this place by my parents. We all went for a family dinner. First thing I notice was the place was packed. Menu was every visually interesting. Workers are all it's ppl. You could see the cooks cooking away your dish. Now the food, even though it was packed the food came to us quite resonably quick. Not only was it quick. It was actually good. You could taste the aunthenticness of the dishes. No complains from anyone and the price was reasonably good. Now to top it off. The place is HALAL! So you will see a lot of arabs in this Thai restaunrat...hahaha I full recommend this place. Now GO! :)

Very tasty and quick food. Really up there with quality and flavours. Its not the cheapest place but service is efficient and huge array of dishes to choose from.
Will return very soon :)
Bosche !!!

Small portions and over priced. I'd rather go to cookies for the prices they're charging.
