Best. Sandwhiches. Ever.
Prices may make you raise your eyebrows for a moment, but when you sink your teeth into the food all thought of cost is out the window as your tastebuds ascend to a higher place and you yourself become a happier, all around better person. Cheerful, friendly staff. Get around it.
Friendly fast service and great coffee. A regular family breakfast for us. Highly recommended.
Great coffee, excellent hospitality. Prepped me for an epic Bunnings session and beyond.
Great coffee, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere
Best coffee in Melbourne suburbs by far
Amazing coffee, coming from a coffee snob. Lol. Lovely service , friendly & cool staff. Definitely a regular now , oh & great to have free wi fi. Thanks guys.
Great coffee, best in Coburg, good barista, single origin options
Beautiful coffee and friendly service. Just what the area needs :)
Had another delicious brekky Wednesday morning & the new barista made a fantastic latte for me thx all
Cool people , good vibe & awesome quality food!

Best customer service, coffee and lunch and the court yard is a lovely escape after spending a day at Bunnings. Always well taken care of here.
Where does one start, well let’s begin by the almost photographic memory of the owner and his love affair with 80’s and 90’s metal band T-shirt’s his background knowledge and outright wit is matched by few in his field leaving me to call it and claim him as the most knowledgeable about pre Millenia bands in the whole coffee industry, now on to the coffee. First the soy latte amazing, creamy and light strong and robust amazing blends huge bold flavours and great bite! The food assortment has grown as of late leaving me stuck as to weather I’ll devour a fresh slice , donut or a sandwich ready to be grilled on the spot all in all a great atmosphere and very hometown vibes would happily bun one with the mandems here 10/10
I was pleasantly surprised by this little place. The owners were super friendly and awesome. Definitely 5 star service. We had a sandwich from the selection, a pastry and some coffees. The food was great. The coffee was also of a good standard. It was by no means fantastic but the base was there. The brand of coffee itself was excellent and if the barista hadn’t been so slammed I’m sure it would have been better. I can see why many would walk past this place as the decor is povo/chique (more povo than chique) but I thought it was ok. The menu and options are very limited but it makes up for it by everything being great quality. If your cruising past it’s worth stopping in.
I've been coming to this cafe for ages now. The coffee is great and the staff are always friendly. The food is quite nice too. Probably the best place for coffee in coburg north. Only once or twice have i had to wait a little too long for lunch, and thats when they are super busy. I can definitely recommend this place.
Had a take-away flat white only after a Bunnings visit. No food.
It's slightly better than the standard average flat white, but I'm not going to rave over it.
The staff seem really nice though, and there were 3 regular visitors who came while I was there who knew the staff by name. Good sign! May need to try the food one day.
Staff are very sweet and friendly, they always remember my order. Simple menu yet cooked to perfection. They make Vietnamese style iced coffee with condensed milk which I'm a massive fan of. Could not fault this place.
Have been here a couple of times mostly for drinks. They do really nice sandwiches and the coffee is good here too. Staff are alway friendly and helpful.
The best coffee in Coburg! Really lovely staff and tasty food! The menu could be a little bit better and some things are a tad pricey! But all in all I would definitely recommend visiting here if you're in the area!
One of the best coffees in Coburg area. The staff are friendly and know how to make a great coffee. They weigh there coffee to make the perfect cup.
A great little cafe with everything you need, good coffee, the breakfast menu is pretty basic but definitely worth a shot. There is also a really nice outdoor area for when the sun is shining!
Very good coffee. Consistent - have been there many times. Well priced. Prompt and efficient service.
Excellent choice for a takeaway coffee in the area.
Never had a bad coffee here at all. Service is always friendly, professional and quick. Warren and the staff work well together. Every coffee weighed for consistency ...love that Practise , making sure your coffee is the same every time. Yum pastries, low key minimal fuss of selection... Ticks all the boxes. Don't drive past and wonder.. Get in and become a new regular!!
Great way to start the morning capacitor and great company. Very polite staff and quick service. Pity about the traffic noise outside. Quint little place
Great coffee! I dropped in for a flat white and an eggs benedict. The coffee made me happy, but the Benny was underwhelming. Poaching moulds are not my idea of fun. There are some great toasties on offer though.
Amazing coffee. However, the service has gone way downhill recently. Staff are slow, rude (don't even bother to greet you) and forget or get orders wrong. Service used to be seamless.
Come here all the time. Love the coffee, especially the cappuccino. The food also is great from what I've had. Extremely friendly staff and owner.
Happened to drove past and decided to give it a try. In this cafe starved area, this place serves a limited menu of toasts, sandwiches and pastries to go with your coffee. Ingredients used were simple but fresh and tasty. Coffee was crisp with a clean finish. Lovely and friendly service.
Possibly the best coffee I've had in Coburg. This cafe is a dark horse. If you like simplicity you'll like this place, the menu is not over priced and staff are friendly. I look forward to being in the area so I can visit 8th Nerve.
Fantastic coffee and lovely staff. The prices are so cheap I keep thinking they've made a mistake! The pastries are super awesome too and of course, fresh every day. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
We come here for the coffee and black pudding with scrambled egg on a weekend. The pudding is excellent. Yes the menu is not large but I only go there for pudding. Never have any issue with a wait.
It's all about the coffee. This is what coffee should taste like. Thanks to Allpress and the baristas there. Other cafe owners go and taste and learn. At times there are long waits but it's so worth it. Coburg/Coburg North thanks you
Really really REALLY good coffee. Stuck working around the area today and was dreading what this area would serve up for coffee. Was so glad to have found this place. Would definitely stop back past here again.
Pleasing My Nerve.. Its early afternoon in Coburg. I was feeling in the mood but knew no one in the area. One of my clients had told me I might get lucky on Gaffeny St. Not having much time to spare, I felt my luck wearing thin driving down this semi-industrial part of town. Then up ahead I spotted her, a tiny diamond among a mundane set of stores. I pull up just out of sight and pause for a moment listening to the rain on the roof of my vehicle. I felt calm and confident.
Walking in out of the cold I approach the shop keep and ask for her, “Double Espresso”. “She’ll be right out” says the man as he gestures towards the seats across the room. As I sit and wait enjoying the art about the walls I began thinking, what is she going to look like? How will she hold herself? I’m stirred from my pondering as the shop keep offers me some water. She must be on her way.
Here she comes... I sip my drink as she’s walked across the room. She lays on the bench against the wall in front of me, she looks at me with a seductive glare. I give her a gentle stir and lick up her generous crema. I don’t have much time so I cut to the chase. I push my lips against hers and let her in, she is strong and well balanced, Italian maybe, mixed, I don’t know I didn’t ask but she is gorgeous. I feel my member begging to rise as I continue to push her lips into mine. I’m overcome with lust but I know I must keep it brief. Besides we are in public, there are others here watching. Before I have a chance to ask her anything she is gone, and i must leave too.
As I drive slowly back to my reality, I wonder if I’ll ever have the pleasure again
We're regulars because it is the best coffee in Coburg. As with many hole in the wall cafés it lacks a commercial exhaust canopy so cooking smells tend to linger in your clothes and hair. The regular staff are pleasant and professional. Some of the casual staff much less so. The food is uncomplicated and that is how we like it but it is the coffee that keeps us coming back.
This would have to be close to the best coffee in town... And really good ham, cheese and tomatoe toasted Turkish breads amazing!
Nice coffee and the guy making it was a crack up :)
Good sounds playing too!!
This has become my new, regular café. On every occasion and no matter who is behind the bar, the coffee always tastes great. The food is also delicious. This is definitely the best coffee in the northern suburbs, and maybe one of the best in Melbourne as well.
Great coffee, really nice local cafe. Really nice staff, laid back atmosphere. Yummy food albeit a fairly small range. Great coffee. Good value. Really nice to have another local option. Only a few tables inside but also nice to go into the courtyard on a sunny day.
Highlight was being in there with two others getting take-away coffees and realising at some point we were all humming or singing along to 'Tiny Dancer' including the barista. Don't think anyone else knew because I was getting the stereo sound. Made me smile :)
Simply the BEST! Great to grab a coffee on the go or just to have a nice breakfast, and lunch. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Great coffee and food, tasty sandwiches - delicious Asiago Cheese, tomato and ham on Ciabatta -, and tasty breakfasts.
Best cafe in Coburg!. Okay, where to start.. This place is an absolute little gem of a find. Everything about the place makes me happy. I'm about to tell you why, so get prepared..
I walk in and I'm greated by friendly staff. None of this pretensious wank stuff about how fine a f***ing pour over coffee is. That stuff can get f***'d! I just want a delish home style meal and a f'ing awesome flatheadshark white, and that's what I get from 8th Nerve.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOW THE STAFF ARE WILLING TO HAVE A CHAT AND ARE ACTUALLY ENGAGED IN WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY!
I can't stress the above enough, it is a bloody rariety to find this style of cafe in this day and age. The one thing that s***'s me to tears about Melbourne, so many people in the hospitality industry that do not understand customer service! So many occasions where I feel as though I am imposing on their time. I eat out to enjoy atmosphere and food, not to be treated like a cow in a cattle station!
Big pat on the back to the staff at 8'th Nerve, becuase you know what? YA STARTED A BLOODY REVOLUTION IN COBURG! I look forward to eating at your fine establishment again!
Small & Simple. Good coffee, good cakes, good breakfast.
Just really good :)
Finally a great place for coffee around here. I've been wishing for a good cafe in coburg north and finally my wish has come true! Friendly service and great coffee. Wish there was a bit more in the food menu. Keep it up :-)
Best coffee in the neighbourhood. Food is fresh, simple tasty. Staff are always friendly and helpful - I was tempted to downplay my review so that my favorite cafe doesn't get overrun! Love love love this place.
Only spent a few mins but enjoyed my stay. Good coffee (lovely old Marzocco too) and pleasant service. Will return.
Popped in for a coffee. Very impressed. Great unpretentious space. Food menu looked nice too. Owner/barista was lovely too. Keep it up champ!!!
Great food, amazing coffee and friendly service. This place will definitely be part of our cafe rotation.
Dropped in for a take away coffee it was delicious! If the coffee is anything to go by this is a new little gem north of Bell
St!
A great local cafe. This is a lovely local cafe towards north Coburg. We went twice on the weekend and enjoyed both visits. The cafe features a small menu made with quality ingredients. I had eggs & bacon for breakfast and tried the salmon salad for lunch - both were delicious. Main meals are between $8-15, representing very good value. They serve Allpress coffee, Noisette pastries and bread, and the staff are friendly and customer focussed. A coffee here is a welcome distraction from, or reward for surviving, the Bunnings across the road!
Great little space, Awesome coffee, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
The poached free-range eggs are cooked in a unique way that makes them very silky and delicate.
Love this place - already looking forward to next Sunday morning and my poached eggs for breakfast!!
Fabulous local cafe. Very glad to see a cafe operating again in this space. Been a couple of times and the food and service have always been top notch. The owners obviously care about quality, as the ingredients used are always fresh and tasty. The coffee is excellent, and on the most recent visit, I had a very nice breakfast of poached eggs, blood sausage, and tasty bacon. A real gem in Cool-burg ;)
Not a coffee drinker so it's the food that really needs to impress me and I'm not disappointed! Already been multiple times and will continue too.
Really friendly owner and staff. Simple, unpretentious and delicious food. Great coffee.
I particularly liked the smoked salmon, avocado & green leaf salad, topped with a free-range egg and toasted sesame seeds. The sesame seeds added a sweet nuttiness to the salad that lifted above the mundane to something quite satisfying.
