Always delicious food! Ordering for dinner it is always busy whenever i order, but the young lady that serves the customers does a great job!! Very happy

Beautiful restaurant, the dinner boxes are wonderfully made.

Great Chinese take away, food was delivered hot and flavour was good. Fried rice was nice and Mongolian beef was very tasty. BBQ pork and veg was good but lacked a bit of flavour. Still one of the best takeaway Chinese I've had in many years.

Food is great and the best Chinese food in the area. But unfortunately the wait time is too long. Called at 7pm to order and was advised that it will be ready at 7.45pm. Food wasn’t ready until 8.15pm. This has happened a few times in the past and it doesn’t matter what night it is. I would of given a rating of 5 for the food but the wait time is why I’ve given 3 stars.

The food was plentiful but taste was average. It’s ok for take out but nothing to rave about. Certainly better options for Chinese out there. Prices are cheap and it can be really busy so order in advance.

Can’t get enough of g dubs, the fried rice is ridiculous and the amusing assortment of drinks is always a strong sort that of the local coburg alumni would happily slurp down after devouring yet another classic dish perfectly executed by these underrated soon to be Michelin Starr chefs!

Great food and staff are always very friendly. The homemade spring rolls are the best. I would recommend the lemon chicken and satay beef! The price are very reasonable.

The staffs are so friendly and food is good. The price is amazing. Best fired rice ever I had in my life. I may call it smoky fried rice. 😋Definitely will go back.

Think food court style made fresh to order. A great place for a quick and cheap take away dinner! I hadn’t been to Gar Wah for years but tried it again last night and it hasn’t changed a bit.

I occasionally stop by here for an after work snack. Gah Wah Chinese cafe is not a bad little place. Tasty food, good value for money and the staff are always very friendly.

Our local take-away Chinese restaurant that has been delivering to our home for about 5 years now. <br/>Food is always quite good for the area and never had any issues, staff are quite prompt. Would recommend to the locals!

The best lemon chicken.<br/>We discovered this place and I still can't believe the value for money. The servings are big and a free drink with the lunch box and dinner box. We will be back when we are driving through the area. Which we will do more regularly now 😂

Bottle of soda was out of date and the use by date had been scratched off but the food was nice but now i would be hesitate to go back. Whag other shifty stuff are they doing

Food is OK. It is cheap and the quality is pretty good and servings are big. But I've had too much really good Chinese in Melbourne to be able to rate this place higher than a 3. For suburban Chinese it's fine but I'd rather go into Chinatown and have the really good stuff. And seriously - cash only? This alone will stop me from visiting again. Deal with your tax obligations like the rest of us and get eftpos!

I have been ordering my take-away Chinese from these guys for years and it still tastes the same, their Chicken & Cashew nuts and Sweet & Sourpork are my two favourites. Good take away food and very cheaply priced

Cheap Lunch Box take away option at only 7.50 and it includes a can of drink. Order is cooked to order and in generous portions.  Would have been nice to have noodles as an option on the lunch box, but no biggie, the food tastes too good for me to make that a negative.  <br/><br/>5 minutes away from work too, so will definitely be making this my daily go to for lunch.

Great food and cheap. Very quick service, take telephone orders, nothing is too much trouble. Lemon chicken delicious and no problem catering for vegetarians. Highly recommended.

Quick and cheap lunch menu at $7.50 with a can drink is great for those on a budget. I love their sweet and sour pork with fried rice as it's cooked to order. Definitely much better than those in the bain marie at the food courts which have been reheated many time and costs more.

Great Chinese shop what u expect for a Chinese take away, been ordering from here for years without anything to complain about deliver is fast, love the mongolian beef!On another note they seem to go on holidays at the end of the year for about a month or more! so dont get to attached :P

This is a great little local 'hole in the wall'. They are quick, fresh & cheap. Haven't tried their home delivery so can't comment on other people's issues with that service, but I can say that the service is absolutely lovely when you go in to collect. This place serves far better than other local Chinese I've tried!

Cheap and fresh. Had a hankering for some simple chinese food and this place is literally 3 mins away so I popped in and ordered a bbq pork and fried rice dinner box. For $8 i got a take-away container filled with fresh food and a cola soft drink. It tasted good. I have paid more and have had far worse. This is a good local. Will come back definately .7/10

Mini springs roll are delish! Crispy pastry with a nice pork and veggie mix. Sweet and sour pork is nice. The batter over the pork is light and crunchy. Nothing worse than more batter than meat so this fish was lovely.

Seriously... Worst service on phone. Really nice food the first time. Went to get a Delivery Order.... The woman asked if we were in Pentridge? When we said yes, she said thats too hard we will get lost!!!! Seriously!!! It takes 2 minutes, down one street, with one turn to get to our place, Pathetic. Service ='d Good first time. Now i say extremely POOR . Would never treat a customer like that. Especially when they would be about to give me $60 dollars worth of order. Extremely Bad service

A good standard old school chinese place.

Great local Chinese. Not sure why a lot of people are dissing this place? Maybe they're expecting the Flower Drum or something. Garwah is our staple for when we don't feel like cooking and hanker for some cheap and cheerful Chinese takeaway. Our usuals of fried rice with curry chicken and lemon chicken never fail to disappoint. And the complimentary soft drinks that come free with the dinner box are a bonus. The lady owner is also super friendly; always waving to us as we walk by.

Spring rolls and wontons were delicious but wouldn't rush back for mains.

Avoid at all costs.

I think people are expecting too much from this place, it's a simple fast take away shop. It's extremely affordable and nicest food your going to get for the price range. lunch and dinner boxes are great value with a free can of soft drink.

This food is amazing and well priced. Me and my boyfriend eat here weekly. The taste is great!!! And quick to be served honestly best Chinese in Melbourne!!! The negatives comments are lies!!

Hey its not that bad. Garwah Chinese - bog standard australian chinese food. Sure it looks like a tiled bathroom. If you come here expecting a extraordinary culinary experience then you are probably not going to get that at an $8.00 a dish chinese joint in Coburg North. For a local, quick - alright tasting home delivery after a big day at work - Garwah is fine. The Mongolian Beef is great, so's the combination omelette.

Quick to get food to you but quality was bad. Soggy, flavourless and no charm in the dilapidated white room. A shame as there is not much Chinese available in Coburg. Definitely give it a miss!
