Undoubtedly one of the best Pakistani restaurant in Melbourne The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters, main course and desserts All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to the Alamaro Pakistani restaurant.

Went with a lot of expectations. Ordered three different dishes but unfortunately none of them could stand out. They were not fresh neither good in taste. Pricing is steep and quantity is less per serving. Usually I take away left over food but this time I couldn't bother to do so. On a positive side, atmosphere is okay, stuff was friendly but thats it. Never going back!

We dined here on a Sunday evening. The place was empty when we arrived, but we were greeted warmly and shown a table by the window. The menu is a combination of authentic, traditional dishes and some Westernized versions. We ordered a chicken biryani, beef kebab, chana masala (chickpea curry), and bread. The food was amazing, especially the beef kebab! I’ve been to many Pakistani restaurants around Melbourne and this one is definitely one of the best that I've experienced. The service was very good, and it felt like we were dining in their home. In fact, we were invited back by the owner to get the full experience as their wood-fired pizza oven was not in use that evening. We will definite be back soon with some friends in tow.

What an amazing dining experience. Wonderful Pakistani food, great customer service & location. The meals were reminiscent of food I experienced when touring Pakistan. So happy to find authentic Pakistani food & of course the fabulous Pakistani hospitality.

We ordered two dishes. One was chicken Biryani and other was highway chicken with garlic naan. I must say highway chicken was out of the world. On top on that the restaurant owner was so nice. He treated us well. All in all it was a good experience. I wish I had taken some photos. May be next time.

Incredible food, I’m not well experienced in Pakistani cuisine but the meal I had in July was extremely good. Highly recommend the Kunna Gosht (lamb curry) with a smokey, salty, oily flavour and really tasty lamb. The Rabri Kheer dessert is also a must.

Have been multiple times. On a couple of occasions, asking about some variations I felt a little judged about how I should like my food. I would have expected a more polite and objectively suggestive approach. Happy to take advice but offer options and let the customer make the final choice; I understand the nuance between a passionately/sincerely strong suggestion and a condescending suggestion. Good portion sizes. Flavours vary in terms of consistency, decent pricing. Great range. Family business, I know, but the service standard comes across as a little unpolished. Maybe it's changed since then. I like this joint and I hope things improve.

This is so far the best Pakistani restaurant i have been to. This is authentic Pakistani food. Excellent quality and taste, doesn't feel like they use the same paste in everything like most of the other restaurants... everything was made from scratch and fresh from the taste of it. Must try Koyla karahi and their naans are fresh and puffy. We were served delicious complementary dessert in the end , I think it was called doodh dulari ? Not sure but it was ahhmazing. I usually do not eat Pakistani food outside but here, i'll definitely go again.

NOT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT! Currently under new management and offers only Pakistani food. VERY MISLEADING as the name Alamaro is still on the shopfront and entrance. Offered to cook pasta with bolognese sauce... with prawns and chicken!!!! We asked for salad and was given sliced cucumber, carrots and onions. It was still in the high 30s yesterday at 6.00pm and the A/C was off. We requested for A/C but was told that it was 'under maintenance'. Dirty drinking glasses. Will not recommend.

Amazing food within minutes of ordering. Ambience is amazing. Staff were very welcoming and open to changing menu dishes. The only improvement I would suggest is the desserts.

Went here on a voucher and for the price wasn't expecting much however, having read some of the glowing reviews, I thought I'd possibly be surprised. Nope. Food was ok but nothing that is to go back for. Service was friendly but a bit of training required re anticipating, timing, customer cues (when both people at the table have read and closed their menus it's likely they're ready to order). No biggie. It needs a facelift - it's just not a very pleasant area and there are cords everywhere. It just looks 'tired' and doesn't give a good impression.

Lovely, clean restaurant with friendly service and a great selection of italian food. We had the barramundi and garlic prawns which was very fresh and tasty. Was a very generous serving as well. Great Value. Would highly recommend. Service was also great with very attentive waiters.

When a customer complains about bad food, you dont rudely argue with your customer, 'you dont eat italian before'. Instead you try to make it right. No mate it was the worst italian food we ever had. Why didnt you let us talk to the'no:1 italian chef' ? We'll tell you Why. Coz you dont have a qualified chef working in your reataurant. <br/>Why would you charge GST as a component on my bill when all prices on the menu are inclusive of GST ? ( and you were reluctant to hand me the bill; then you argued that you pay your taxes) <br/>Thanks for ruining my birthday and Thanks for ripping me.<br/><br/>Your restaurant and your 'italian' food is a disgrace. Your food is more indian/pakistan than italian. Your menu is a rip off.<br/>Ps: Steak with veggies does not mean a potato and a carrot.<br/><br/><br/><br/>

Great dinner with family. My kids like the foods Milkshake and ice-cream loved some much also my partner took chicken with king prawns , I also had triple p steak, it was awesome. thanks to Alamaro restaurant and all of their staff to make a beautiful evening with my family.

I went to the restaurant last Sunday night. I order a chicken I forgot the name but it was superb my wife and kids got steak they also enjoy their dinner. I hard about this restaurant from a friend of mine. the look of the restaurant is not really attractive but foods are really good. I will recommend my friends and family  to go there.

Not a good experience at all, I ended up sick from eating here!<br/>Firstly the steak was the worst steak my partner and I have ever eaten, we couldn't even eat it, we asked for medium rare and it came out well done, very tough and chewy. <br/>The chicken breast we ordered was also tough and just really gross. <br/>Pumpkin soup and garlic bread were bad<br/>The panacotta was just weird, almost like an old panacotta that has been sitting around for awhile.<br/>Most of the food was microwaved as the whole time it was being made all we heard was the microwave being used!!<br/>A side note to the waiter - include ice in the glass when serving customers soft drink. As we had warm coke which the coke glass itself had white mould on it!!<br/>Also the decor of the restaurant itself was run down and old.<br/>1/5

Peppercorn Steak, a must try... I prefer well done n It's just too awesome. My fav from the menu is chilli prawn that's already served with rice, superb! The manager is interactive with a friendly staff, quick service<br/>

I was there with some friends. The food is incredibly good considering the price. I l liked the environment, and the staff was friendly. Will be back again. Highly recommend. :)

I went to this restaurant before but came again last Saturday with my family. I order steak diavolo, My wife order Fettuccini pollo avocado and my son took lasagne. the steak was superb , it was best steak I ever had my life also my family enjoy their food very much. I will highly recommend my friends and family to go there.

This one and only Italian halal restaurant in Melbourne. Best for Steak, fish, seafood , pasta, wood fried Pizza, chicken etc. My family and friend love this restaurant , good food , great test and  good Customer service

Yuck! Will never go back. Used to frequesnt here but never again. received overcooked food. place is full of dont do this signs which make it lool cheap and tacky. plus friends have been asked to pay for seats if they weren't having a meal! what a joke

Depressing.. We've been customers at this place since it first opened and have finally decided never ever to go there again. Very poor, unwelcoming service that sometimes borders on hostility and rudeness. I think the owners really need courses on 'hospitality' and how to make their customers feel comfortable. The place is full instructions; you feel like you're in the military! The owners kept complaining about the community and their customers which we found to be unprofessional and which reflected their negative attitude. The place is very small and the tables are sometimes not enough for all the dishes. The worst part, which put us and some of our friends off from going there, is that even when the restaurant is empty they wouldn't let you sit at a bigger table. Of course they would tell you that all other tables are reserved but you stay and leave without anyone coming. They hesitate to smile and when you smile at them they give you a very nervous smile! It's so weird! Sadly, even the food quality went down quite rapidly. The steaks used to be special and tasty but they've become of poor quality and unchewable. Sad, depressing experience!

WHAT A GREAT MEAL!!!!. I had a wonderful experience eating at this quaint little restaurant<br/>From the outside you would not think that this place would have satisfied us<br/>BUT DONT BE FOOLED!!!!!!<br/>My friends and I enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal <br/>After our mixed entrees of seafood served with a fresh and delightful Greek Salad we prepared to be overwhelmed by our main course<br/>We all ate porterhouse at least an 1" thick cooked exactly the way we wanted served with backed Potato's Pumpkin and Carrots<br/>A thick creamy Mushroom and Peppercorn sauce was generously applied to our steaks. <br/>We then finished our meals with a rich chocolate pudding and a tiramisu with both of these enough for the 4 of us<br/>You may think that my comments may be over the top, however believe me<br/>TAKE THE TIME AND GO THERE FOR DINNER TO SEE FOR YOURSELF!!<br/>To the owners please take my comments and compliments re this meal as our way of saying Thankyou ! You and your staff made our night.

My husband brought home my dinner, the most beautiful Pepper & Mushroom Steak & vegetables, cooked to perfection, you have to try it! The portions are very generous & packaged so beautifully nothing leaked, unusual for a takeaway! Regards Karen

Don't be fooled the the outside. Went for Dinner with the girls and was pleasantly surprised. The service was brilliant, the food was beautiful and deserts tempting! Would go again and again.

I'll be back. My husband heard about this place through family as it's one of the few places in Coburg that make good Halal Italian food. Good quality for a decent price and friendly service. It's causal dining and you usually don't have to book. I recommend the chicken cacciatore. I find this dish has become a rarity to find these days.
