My wife and i came here for lunch for her birthday 3 weeks ago we ordered 2 x ham cheese and tomato toasties and we repeated the order 4 times back to the waitress so the order comes to our table 2 ham and tomato sandwich on dry bread what happened to the cheese and toasted the wife wanted to say something but i said let it go i bet i got charged for the lot they are very lucky we paid before hand otherwise we would have walked out with the sandwiches left on the table we definitely won't be back to hard for some to make a toastie or even listen to your order

this cafe is very conveniently located in the centre of all the big shops. they have nice variety from food to fresh fruit drinks to hot and cold drinks... staff is very friendly and they listen to your requirements for any modification in focaccia or wraps cleanliness is another factor they have taken it on serious level highly recommended

Came for breakfast with some friends. We ordered at the same time, yet some coffees came in 10 minutes and others took about 20. Our milk coffees were all burnt and tasted terrible, but the soy coffees were alright. There was no table water and the waiters didn't seem very interested in making our stay enjoyable. Two of our meals were served straight out of the microwave while we waited 50 minutes for another three dishes, only to discover they had lost our orders. When I eventually got my meal after an hour and fifteen minutes I had the big breakfast which was quite cheap at $15.90, but was not worth a cent. The presentation was sloppy and some of the food felt like it had simply been shown a picture of a grill but had not even been cooked. The mushrooms (which I was looking forward to) were disgusting and inedible. The chorizo had been sitting out on the bench for some time and was only slightly warm. My girlfriend had a beef and mushroom pie. The texture was slimey, the pie itself had no flavour and was full of grizzle. I wasn't expecting anything flash, but after waiting as long as I did, and receiving the slops that they served I can say that I will never be back.

Very friendly staff, great food, outdoor as well as indoor seating. We come here for breakfast at least once a week and love the options here. A couple of times we've also had lunch here and loved it!

Occasionally work in this area, visited Bunnings. came out feeling peckish. Visited Mills, helpful staff, great egg and cheese sandwich, wasn't on the menu, but they made is anyway. flat white coffee was quality. Next time in the area I will visit again.

Coffee is really good on a continuous basis and the food is bang for buck 👌 and delicious

Not great, pretty average coffee and the toasted ham and cheese croissant was cold

This place is well organised, coffee tasted amazing same as the food, I had the big breakfast, everything was well cooked and the bacon & sausages had a nice crispy flavour, there isn't table water set up on the table which is something that they should add to the table in the future, but you could just ask for a cup of water and they will bring it to you. They have salt and pepper set up that also includes napkins, staff are nice and are hard working. Overall the coffee is the best order I had at the mills Cafe because it was quick and it tasted astonishing, I recommend this place to people who haven't tried this place out.

The salmon and egg toast was great. Very tasty. One criticism I should make is that the salmon should have been seasoned a bit prior to putting it on toasted bread. How they purchased it is how they served it. Lightly seasoning it with ground thyme might have been the magical taste. <br/>Coffee was not the best.

Good food, great service, wish they had menus for those that want them. Chips a bit too salty. Other food was fresh and delicious. Great location and lovely atmosphere.

Pretty average place. The food was nothing special and the place generally seemed a bit lifeless. There's plenty of better cafes in the area.

During the mornings this shop is awfully slow, a coffee will take about 5-7mins to make. Coffee is mediocre, along with the service. Have a minimum on eftpos.

I've had coffee and cake here many a time with my son. The coffee is fair and the cakes are what you'd expect. They are obviously trucked in from elsewhere but they are of a good standard. As for the food..... I wouldn't go near it. Rewarmed food from a Bain Marie is not my thing. The setup to order and pay is very confusing as well. The shop is always very clean which is great. As for service though, it's very hit and miss. You will normally wait for a fair while until someone runs to you from out the back, but then they still need to ask the barista many a question to fill your order. The atmosphere is poor as well sadly. I have no desire to go to a cafe and watch the news on a big screen. It makes me feel like I'm in a doctors office.

I don't know what happened with my other review. anyway I believe this place is much better then what you read on this page. Love the coffee, tea, cakes, fresh juices/smoothies, and I always find something to my taste at Breakfast and lunch. Ta

I love the coffee and deserts at Mills café. I also love the fresh fruit juices and their version of a smoothie although it is oddly named as numbers.Chicken schnitzel and chips is my favourite dish but I also sometimes get pleasant surprises from the chef's specials menu but don't ask me about names as my memory is terrible.  also they have large variety of tea herbs like my favourite: lemon grass that I order from time to time and love the option to have it served in a kettle that I keep drinking from till finished.I usually sit inside watching TV but occasionally I sit under the umbrellas outside for a refreshing change

As a Frequent goer to Mills Café, I don't believe the joint is being given what it deserves here. It is well known for its excellent coffee and the Barista Rob is well known in the area for his excellent coffee, making workers from all over the area keep coming for more. I have seen many workers' faces change but always same great food standard and good service. There are daily menu items, and the management always work to adjust to customer's taste. The bad reviews could have been influenced by a sour x-employee that I became aware they carried a smear campaign against the Café in recent times. My advise to anyone reading this is to check it out for yourself. It is all stars for me, Well done Mills Café!!!

Total food nazi's. Demanded order after we just arrived. My partner was uncertain and told them.So I ordered meal and drink. They then doubled it to make it two meals when they rang it up as two meals I corrected them. Then my partner decided only to order a smoothie (already turning off). Then told them banana. Then more intense interrogation 'we have berry or banana' 'banana'. Never ever again.

This place has so much potential however the staff are so rude and incompetent. They are also very arrogant. I have been there twice in a week when going to Bunnings and both times my order has been forgotten. I've been left waiting like a fool not wanting to be rude myself and ask if my order is nearly ready. Never again.

Worst cafe ever. The first time I went the staff were rude. I tried again a few weeks later and got short changed, and abused when I asked for the correct change. This last time, they forgot to bring the food out. I sat at a table for 15 minutes, listening to their microwave beep to remind them they had placed food in there to reheat. Eventually I went back to the counter to ask, got a blank stare and asked what I wanted to order from the staff. Only a handful of other customers in the cafe.

The coffee here is great. This the main reason I come backwhen I usually go to bunnings but the service at times is crap. Lasagna was cold so I brought it back. On my work break another day order took forever to come out and they forgot my coffee. Used to like it here but slowly losing interest.

Food is good. Service is terrible. I have no intention of wasting my time writing at least one hundred and forty characters on this establishment.

Very ordinary food, sloppy service. Give it a miss.

Food quality has reduced since new management has taken over. The staff are friendly and service is good - but the food doesn't quite cut it!! <br/>Avoid this place - go to the little cafe directly across the road on Gafney Street, it is much better!!
Coburger
Meh. The cafe is located in one of those soleless big-retailer centres and is souless as the carpark. There's a few cold tables and chairs on a cold floor. The service wasn't helpful - I stood waiting for my coffee to be made and handed over and the staff member only then said "oh I would have bought it out to you." I've been standing in front of you for 6 minutes, you could have said that earlier. Or one of the other 4 staff doing nothing. Coffee wasn't very good either.

Unimpressed. "Ask about o.... Unimpressed.<br/><br/>"Ask about our kids' menu", said the sign. We did. There is none. <br/><br/>The tables were filthy and a chair at our table (inside) was covered in avian excrement. <br/><br/>Service was slow (a customer who arrived after us received their breakfast, which was the same as mine, received theirs first) and we had to ask three times just to get some water.<br/><br/>The food was average and there are too many better places in the area to go back here. I'll go to Bunnings for a sausage next time!

No atmosphere.

Great coburg experience. The mills cafe has lots of space, very warm and relaxing atmosphere and great service. i would highly recommend eating there as its exceptionally good food with not so many like it around in the area. Lots of options are available for Breakfast and lunch.<br/>Its a perfect place to catch up with friends and relax over coffee!!
