Our tandoori chicken salads were melting in mouth, good sizes and enjoyable to eat. Perfect espresso. The atmosphere is cosy, the decor - fancy . The service friendly and smiley. We loved the place.
Cafe Royal is my local cafe. I go here a lot and have never been disappointed. The fritters, breakfast pizza and french toast are all fantastic. Coffee is nice. I can always rely on a positive experience at Cafe Royal.
Just had the yummiest meal and best experience at Cafe Royal. Our waiter was so friendly and so helpful. We ordered a share plate for two and it was so delicious. The garlic naan bread was so good, as was the tandoori chicken wings! I reaaaaally wanted to try one of the delicious looking cakes for dessert but we ate so much dinner we couldn't fit it in. I'll be back!!
A small cafe offering a variety of options, none of which sparked much excitement, from sandwiches to pizzas all at above average prices didn't give me much hope to begin with, we each opted for a sandwich or a warp and after the first bite our previous concerns became reality. The food wasn't terrible and the portion satisfied our hunger, however we didn't leave being overwhelmed. The modern styled venue wasn't too painful on the eyes but the food did not match, the service was average with staff who didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Strangely we had balsamic vinegar coating on the sandwiches made it too awkward to handle and left us a big messy and we had to go in search of napkins ourselves and what I suspected to be frozen chicken fillets on my wrap left me disappointed.
Always Come here for a weekend breakfast if I'm feeling lazy! Never had a bad meal. We will always come back :) staff are nice and the decor is cute!

We looked over the menu then placed our order. Although there was so much to choose from, I opted for the Breakfast Bruschetta ($21.50) and mum chose the Fritters ($18.50) with both of us ordering a flat white ($4.50ea). Our coffees were the first to arrive. I was happy from the get go, they were large, extra hot and the perfect version of a flat white. Nothing annoys me more than ordering a flat white and getting a cappuccino without the chocolate dusting! I complimented our waitress who I had seen making the coffees and she was so happy I acknowledged it. She was polite and happy to have a chat, even wishing me well on my recovery after seeing my moon boots under the table. She even came back to scan my scope code so that I didn’t have to get up and scan it at the counter- now thats service! Not too much later, the chef delivered our meals to our table. My order of breakfast bruschetta was presented beautifully. The base was sliced toasted turkish bread topped with mixed lettuce leaves, cherry tomatoes, grated parmesan cheese and poached eggs with an avocado and balsamic glaze. The portion was impressive with so much bread I couldn’t eat it all! Mum’s dish didn’t come with bread so she was happy to demolish the rest. Mum’s fritters were equally impressive both in presentation and portion size. Now I didn’t try them so I can’t comment but mum thoroughly enjoyed them immensely and kept commenting on the delicious avocado and sweet chilli dip that accompanied them. The fritters were made of zucchini, potato and corn and were served with rocket leaves, poached eggs and dukkah. Mum and I were so happy with out experience at Cafe Royal and would have been regardless if we had used a voucher or not. Obviously it was an absolute bargain as my meal and coffee alone exceeded the $25 I spent on the voucher, but with or without the voucher we would have been more than happy with the price, service and experience.
Excellent staff at Beeliar cafe. Cockburn Central cafe was far too small :( witnessed a few patrons move from Cockburn to Beeliar too. This one's a keeper :)
Went there for breakfast when my partner. I'm a pretty simple person when it comes to food especially breakfast but I ordered the breakfast pizza, and my partners when the fritters.
Pizza was delicious, and I believe my partner was quite satisfied too.
Did take a while to come out but had friendly service to counteract. Would return
We had tapas and drinks for two people. Lovely waiter. Everything on the plate was delicious and even though it didn't look huge we were so full by the end! Cocktail was $17 but it was gigantic and we ended up sharing it. Would recommend. Nice atmosphere - no complaints at all and I am a moderately fussy diner.
Banana Pancakes with Nutella, Cream and Ice Cream. Quite possibly the best pancakes I've ever eaten!
Awesome!. Such a fantastic spot! Staff are really friendly and the Indian food is the best I've had in Perth. Only been there for breakfast once or twice and it was pretty good, but I'd say the Indian is the strong point. So nice to have some decent food and somewhere relaxing for a drink in the Cockburn area!

Pleasantly Surprised. Had dinner here the other night and was pleasantly surprised with this Indian style tapas bar. It was quite busy considering its isolated location near the Cockburn Central Train Station. The Cocktails here are legit. Where ever you go in Perth, the Espresso Martini is always the first option and Café Royal make a good one too, however I had a Lemon Meringue cocktail and it knocked the Espresso Martini outa the park. I have never tasted a drink quite like it and I put it to the staff there to enter it into some kind of competition. Oh, the food is good aswell and the set up/vibe of the place is good too. A lot of praise for this up and coming place. Until next time ... 8/10
Went to Cafe Royal for breakfast and it was lovely. Service, food, coffee and atmosphere were all great. Affordable Perth prices too. Definitely going back!
I've often enjoyed takeaway coffees from here so decided to try a late breakfast on a Sunday. We tried the Big Breakfast, Blueberry Pankcakes and Nutella Crepes with 2 a couple of Lattes. The coffees were lovely as usual, the crepes were light and delicious, the Big Breakfast was ok and the pancakes were light and fluffy but needed more sauce (maple syrup). Waitstaff were friendly and helpful, portions were decent and pricing reasonable. We'll certainly return.
Lovely Place. Breakfast was fantastic...Have been also just for drinks before catching the train. Always welcome. Looking forward to Pizza. New place in Success, yet to try but very different atmosphere. Indian Restaurant next door and can order from both menus.
Quickly becoming a favourite. Been here twice and will be going back again, and again, and again. The food is fantastic; stuffed mushrooms and Malai Tikka are awesome and the cocktails are brilliant (Two Flaming Dr Peppers and it's game over). And after tapas we ordered from the Majestic menu. Again, food was high quality. Atmosphere is excellent.
Very funky cafe! The breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes and the french raisin toast is to die for. Our food arrived on tiles which was an unexpected cool twist to the usual breaky experience! The coffee was so good we stayed on after breakfast for another cup. This is a perfect sunday morning breakfast spot if you're after a chilled out vibe and good food.

Bad coffee. Such a shame because the wine/tapas idea works (and the Indian restaurant next door is great). Suggest concentrating on upping the ante on coffee - not many places nearby do good coffee so maybe look into a barista and new beans.
First time visit for local. We were actually on our way to another cafe that was not open so we decided to try the Cafe Royal. There were a few people outside and the place seeming bustling. We were greeted promptly and our order taken straight away. Plenty of tables available so we sat and awaited our food. Service seemed good, we were brought a carafe of water and some glasses. Our food arrived quickly, however, the coffees we ordered did not. We had to ask the staff halfway through our meal to make our coffees we ordered when we arrived. No apologies or recognition was made in the error. I ordered the Akuri breakfast, scramble was great. Bacon was dry and overcooked. The hashbrowns were not fresh and seemed to be from freezer. My partner ordered the Royal breakfast and seemed to enjoy it, although his bacon was dry and overcooked as well. Overall the food was ok.
Dinner 18/5/13. First time dining here. Have had take away from the Indian restaurant next door many times. Service was very confused to start with. We had enormous trouble ordering a tasting platter to start with. Tried 3 times and then gave up! Once staff got their act together everything was much better however we did have to wait a long time for the Tandoori chicken and Chickent Tika. THey did give us a free serve of each however to make up for that. The two young guys behind the bar were excellent, the cocktails fantastic.
The food was really wonderful and the place has been beautifully decorated. However the ridiculous cabinet near the bar has to go. There is just not enough room to have something like that there. They tried to seat us so we were going to have our backs to the cabinet in the bar area. We refused and were moved to the cafe part.
Great Food, Great Value. Kids really enjoyed the breakfast. The Indian fare for dinner was delicious and great value for money

The staff are lovely, the food is good and there is not much wait time even when they are busy and the cocktails are yummm! Not to mention a good price for Perth!

Get the platter and a naan bread - TO DIE FOR!!!!! for $35, great for a couple to share, fantastic value, I usually eat Indian next door every week, might have to fit this one in as well now

Started visiting this venue recently and are slowly working our way through the menu. We love it! Will be visiting later afternoons for a drink at weekend. Relaxed, nice staff, and comfortable. The food is fab!
Just a short stroll down the hill, cafe royal is my "local". The pizzas are the stand out on the menu, but Indian tapas (cooked by 'Majestic India' next door) are also amazing. Breakfast can be a bit of a let down, when compared to the high quality of the other meals. Prices are very reasonable and has a good atmosphere.

Heavenly brownies. This place was quite a surprise for me... I didn't expect much, but was blown away with the quality of the food, coffee and especially the excellent service. Been there already 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Definitely recommend their chocolate brownies... Excellent place.. Definitely recommend.
Great vibe, good staff, well priced food. Cafe Royal is a breakfast / lunch / late night tapas spot with a funky vibe. I went along for the first time on Sunday and noticed it wasn't yet on urban spoon so added it as it's worth some attention.
It's owned by the same people who run the Indian restaurant next door to it so if you sense an Indian fusion influence with the food going on, you're quite right. We ate breakfast at lunch time which was great, I had the spanish omelette and my partner had the eggs benedict. The hollandaise could do with some work but it was otherwise tasty and great value.
Looking forward to returning for the tapas.

Very nice place for breakfast, lunch, drink, coffee and cake ... so basically everything. It is located very close to the train station. The music is very pleasant. The service is very friendly. I would give it some thought for some more comfortable chairs :)
Usually come here for coffee when I work in the area which is always amazing. Had breakfast this morning with the wife and the food was pretty dam good. Good portion, relatively quick for how busy it was, tasted good too. Nice casual atmosphere and great staff 👍
Great breakfast cooked to perfection, friendly staff, lovely coffee, and it’s the little attentions to detail that I love like the toast being buttered when it’s served, no messing around doing that so I could jump straight into enjoying the breakfast.
Also happy hour on tapped beers 5-6 in the evening; the royal is the gift that keeps on giving!!
Awesome friendly service with great customer service. I observed lots of happy customers with great conversations as worker was chirpy, seemingly aware of their regular preferences. A happy environment and great food too. Loved the big pot and cup of peppermint tea served. A well indulged waffles with ice-cream and cream. Would be happy to return again with wonderful first visit.
cafe Royal has amazing food and the Coffee is the best in Perth, they have an amazing group of staff lead by the owner Jeri and you will not get better service anywhere in Perth. Tremendous coffee and Breaky Burger and a great place for a cheap beer on the way home. Thank You Jeri and staff amazing every time I visit.
