Review Bombay Brasserie - Coffs Harbour

I have eaten here a few times. It's the same story each time. The woman and the young man have no clue running a restaurant. We waited 25 minutes to get our drinks order taken. The place is always understaffed. The two mangers just stand there watch the other staff try to keep up with the customers. The wait staff are really nice locals. The food is okay but is overshadowed by management clearly having no idea.

Excellent Indian restaurant in Coffs Harbour. The food was very delicious and tasty. We had Chicken Hariyali, Fish Masala and Aloo Cholle. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Stay away! I ordered mix veggies cooked in a curry coconut cream with cashews…but there were NO CASHEWS in my meal! $18.90 for just veggies!!! Not even sure if it actually was vegan or they used regular cream instead of coconut! AND all the curries come without rice, what a rip off!! My partner ordered the $20.90 butter chicken and had the runs all night!!!!!! What a disgrace you guys are!!! The woman in the kitchen was rude and the guy taking the order had no clue about what he was doing. Please do yourself a favor and avoid! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

We love the friendly husband and wife team that run this big restaurant. Unfortunately they struggle to get staff so they are often forced to only offer take away. So if they can’t let you dine in order takeaway and enjoy the flavours. We ordered the mixed entree - 2 pakoras, 1 vegetarian and one meat samosa and a piece of chicken tandoor each. Each item was a tasty treat and an ideal way to start. I tried the hot chicken vindaloo this time and it was just as good as the beef. My wife had the prawn masala and it had 9 prawns in it and the save was full of prawn flavour with a nice level of chilli. Great flavours, excellent quality at a reasonable price. The Penfolds Koonunga Hill wasn’t overpriced either. I hope they are able to attract staff and stay in business.

Totally disappointed. Ordered a biryani to try out and was served rice with liquid chicken. Samosas were stinking too.

We got severe food poisoning from this restaurant. $75 for 3 curries that went in the bin and ruined us for days. I emailed the owner but no reply. Looking at these reviews we are not the first ones to get sick from this place.

I've had better from woolworths. Even stuffed up the naan bread.. how ? Cost me $40 for this meal that went straight in the bin. Not happy with food and definitely wouldn't recommend. It's no wonder there were no customers dining when I went in... just want butter chicken that tastes like real butter chicken. Even the rice was bad...

This was one of the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. I had this cottage cheese and tomato dish and forget the name of it, with naan bread and rice. I also had the Indian deep fried cakes afterwards and it was so delicious. The service was friendly and engage conversations with you. I come from the Gold Coast and haven't found any Indian restaurant as good as this one. Full thumbs up. 👍🏻 Might come down to Coffs Harbour again just for this Indian restaurant.

The entres were fresh but the main very disappointing. I ordered the prawn vindaloo and the prawns were small and obviously frozen. They were overcooked and tough and I felt really ripped off. If you live by the sea and offer a seafood dish, give your costumers fresh food, not bad frozen. I would not recommend.

Food just ok.Idiotic Chef bad mouth un welcoming staff. Head chef is very arrogant and hate clown.... Avoid guys #monicasharma

Was very disappointed.. wanted takeaway and was told by a rude waitress they don't do takeaways but it was written on the board. If you are not doing takeaways than don't advertise it

Best Thai Food we have ever tasted! The tantalising flavours and fresh ingredients are delightful. The Staff are friendly and attentive with exceptional Service. This Restaurant is classy with a relaxed feeling about it. We had a Romantic dinner for two, with a nice warm room temperature. Great value for the experience, well worth it and will definetly return.

We had our wedding here 5/3/11, and why? because the food here is so wonderful, the service is like being looked after by family, and the wine list is to die for. Everyone there said it was the best reception they had been to! Thanks Renee, we shall always return whenever we are in Coffs Harbour, Si and Nel
