Well done Mr Dengs! I just got takeaway, the wonton soup was clean and flavorful, the salt and pepper pork was awesome, fried rice on point!
We were travelling and had been in the car for 19 hours, we called ahead and asked if we could pickup a takeaway 15mins before they closed, Mr Deng’s not only took our order but gave us a table and let us eat our dinner after they closed to give us a break from the car. Very friendly service that go out of their way!! Beautiful food!! Highly recommend this place!

Very good BBQ duck, crispy skin, juicy meet and combination seafood satay and special fried rice.
After reading the reviews on trip advisor I can certainly assure you that this is a very nice tasting restaurant, service was fantastic and staff are very friendly, we had 10 people no booking, walked in and they made us a table ready to go within 2 mins, highly recommended restaurant.
Had this food twice now, once in the restaurant and once as take away. BEST chinese I've had between rockhampton and sydney. Cant recommend it enough. It's fresh, tasty and great quick service. Do yourself a favour when you're in Coffs and track them down.

On our way to Melbourne, don't wanna have any disappointment during our trip, find this in the recommended list. They open for Sunday lunch, beef is tender and juicy, good flavour, friendly service. Like!

We decided to try Mr Deng's Chinese Restaurant as it both looked inexpensive and had a good reputation. As I am not a local, I had been using Zomato to find good places to eat. Well I can honestly say that Mr Deng's has great tasting food but they are able to make it without it costing huge amounts of money!
We walked in and greeted by very friendly staff. Everyone was very nice and helpful considering it was a Friday night and they were busy. We decided on what we wanted and ordered the Mixed Entree, the Angus Crispy Beef in Golden Honey, and the Satay Chicken. The Mixed Entree were delicious , and consisted of a great tasting Spring Roll, and Dim Sim that honestly tasted like a mix between a Fried and a steamed Dim Sim, and a Prawn Cutlet that had a moreish crumbing.
The Satay Chicken was great, but definitely got overshadowed by the Beef in Honey. I am quite partial to a Honey Chicken, and trying the "Honey Beef" was a fantastic sensation on the taste buds. The beef is coated in a thin coating and cooked to be crunchy. The honey syrup is not overpowering but blends nicely compared to other Honey dishes. They used wonton wrappers under the meal to soak the honey syrup and they were delicious and still crunchy when coated in the honey.
The meals were delicious and you want to keep eating even after you were full. It was so nice that I went back a couple of weeks later. They had some different staff on, but they were just as friendly and helpful. I am sure that I will be going back again! Actually I am more than confident that it will happen.
Very friendly staff that helps you making the right choices. Good hot and sour soup. The rest of the meals we had was also very good. Nice place on a nice street.

After wandering around Coffs we decided to eat here because of the positive reviews. We were not dissapointed. Two mains, fried rice and two glasses of wine $53.00. The servings were huge (doggie bag required) - wanting to move to Coffs just for the Chinese food here. A definite eat here agin place!!!!

Delicious!. I regularly buy takeaway from Mr Deng, he is friendly and even says hello when I run into him around town.
The food is simply the best Chinese style dishes I have tasted in Australia. Also I have a friend who is gluten intolerant and it has never been any trouble for Mr Deng's to prepare most of their dishes gluten free specially.

Don't look elsewhere. If Chinese food is your choice on the day then you can't go past Mr Deng's. We ate here on a return trip from Sydney to Sunshine Coast and had the best Chinese meal for many a long day. Beautiful balance of flavours and generous servings with good service and hospitality. We would not hesitate to return when passing through again. In fact Coffs Harbour would become our stopover destination just to have dinner here.
Awesome food and awesome service. Only in Coffs for one night for business and decided to give Mr Deng's a try...and WOW... simply superb. I highly recommend it. The service last Monday night was magnificent, his recommendation for duck with plum sauce was a winner. The first thing I do when I come back is visit this restaurant
My husband and I ordered take a way from here first after moving here and the residents saying it was the best and I can only say it surpassed all our expectations. Having worked in a sub-par Chinese restaurant I was expecting similar or the same but it certainly was not. So we went back to done in and the chicken was tender well cooked not oily the servings were decent the presentation was excellent, as was my husbands Mongolian, tender and just the right amount of spicy. The food is prompt and served with a smile and the dining atmosphere while small is comfortable and inviting. I hope they have plans to expand into a bigger establishment because it could defiantly be the IT place for Chinese Dining in Coffs Harbour. Will be back again soon!

We went while on holidays after looking up urban spoon. It was fabulous, the food was fresh, fast and mighty tasty. We'll be back.

This is the 3rd meal we have enjoyed here in a week, a lunch, weekend and weekday dinner.
The food is fast, fresh, well seasoned and good sized portions. Our lunch today was BBQ pork with veges and sate chicken. Large slices of meat in a very tasty sauce. The Steamed Dim Sims are fat, juicy and delicious. The best I’ve had. Highly recommend visiting Mr Dengs Chinese Restaurant for extremely friendly service, great food and fair prices. Say Hi to the owner Colin and enjoy his hospitality and relaxed dining experience .

Unlike other Chinese restaurant, instead of using cheap corn syrup, Mr Deng's restaurant seem to use actual honey in their honey chicken. Love their honey chicken and chow mien stir fried noodle. Highly recommended!
Trip Advisor is correct, Mr Deng's is really good. It's a taste from my childhood, uncomplicated, classic Chinese food. Mr Deng's has all the favourites including honey chicken and sweet and sour pork. Mr Deng himself was lovely. Check out the lunch menu, great value at $13 a plate including rice. We will be back next time we are in Coffs.
Enjoyed everything about Mr Deng’s Chinese Restaurant. From the staff, service of food, to taste. Everything was excellent! Mr Deng even came out to greet and serve us our food. He definitely values all his customers. If you don’t know who Mr Deng is, his face is on the signage of the restaurant.
