Longest wait for zero service. We booked for 7pm. We turned up at 7pm. By 7.45pm no one had approached our table to take our order or even offered water. Meanwhile waiters were chatting behind the counter. What made it worse was two separate couples who came in after us had their orders taken and had drinks. We then decided to leave & politely made it known to the manager our reason for leaving. All we received were blank looks.

Excellent dining experience here. Beautiful meals and wonderful ambience. Short walk to the jetty and other places. Food was served in large portions which was great as we were feeling hungry from a days activities. Well priced meals, quality exceeded to the pricing.

New location (a few doors down), new look, new menu. Amazing! The food was absolutely delicious - meatballs to die for! Great service and Italian cocktails! Loved it

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Staff went above and beyond for us. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend for anyone looking for good Italian food!

Wouldn't say the best Italian in town. The food is expensive and portion sizes are quite small. Ordered 3 pasta dishes and all three tasted average. Staff members seemed attentive to our large group of table (only positive)

Was an average dining experience. The sweet potato fries was very delicious but the other two dishes we ordered were very average.

Terrible terrible place to eat would not recommend to anyone. Firstly the apple cider on tap was flat and tasted like vinegar, after about 30 minutes our food came out and I was instantly aware we had made the wrong choice coming here. The food looked dry and overcooked. Firstly the pizza base was undercooked and too doey, not enough sauce was used and no fresh ingredients are used either its badically like dominos pizza toppings. The pesto pasta we ordered I had one bite and it just tasted burnt, i still dont understand how it tasted so burnt it didnt even look burnt. I sent that back to the kitchen and advised I didn't want a replacement. The head waitress could care less about the poor quality of foid and only comped our pasta which I had refused to eat. The chefs were basically young 20 year old kids pulled from a dominos store and claiming what they produce is italian pizza. It was a joke and a waste of a nice night and way overpriced. Avoid like the plague if you dont want tol eat disappointment for dinner.

A random find that gave us an enjoyable night out for dinner in Coffs Harbour. Well presented tasty food and great staff who catered well for my food allergy to garlic! The veal was superb. Be tempted like we were to have the chocolate brownie! It was superb! Pleased we shared it tho! Highly recommend this place and we left happy we had ventured in.

Thank you for a wonderful meal! My partner and I are from out of town and felt like Italian. Found Maria's through Google. Absolutely amazing! I had the Chicken cacciatore on penne and my partner had BBQ Chicken pizza. And both were absolutely delicious! We never have dessert at the same place when we go out, but because the meal was so good we had no hesitation in staying! And dessert was just as tasty! Super quick service for a Saturday night, reasonably priced and service was very friendly - 5 stars!

My daughter and I are both coeliac and we love Italian food but find it hard to find many that cater for us. Tonight our family had a feast of GF pizza, GF garlic bread, GF pasta and more. The food was served quickly, was hot and tasted amazing and was well priced too!! Would definitely recommend.

Serving was reasonable but lacked taste and was expensive given the quality of the food and poor service the waitress had trouble with basic english when we ordered. Basically spoiled a good night out wont be returning as far better food is only feet away highly recommend thai

Worst food I have ever eaten. Ordered 2 pizzas that were not cooked, Greek salad had soft wilted vegetables which had clearly been sitting out for days, coleslaw had no dressing and tasted horrible. I should have just burned $60 and saved the gas to go pick up take away. Would never eat from here again. Would give this place 0 stars but it wouldn't let me write a review without one.

Wonderful food & wine however, during the time we were there we were asked approximately 8 times was everything alright!! Which is fine you may say but being deep in conversation we seemed to be constantly interrupted. We both had 2 slices of pizza left on our board and were asked did we want that in a take away box?? err no we are still eating thank you. Then another waitress approached and asked when do we want our dessert as the chef needed to prepare it!!! errrr we were still eating our mains and we had ordered cheesecake what's to prepare?? Still some 2 minutes later dessert arrived on our table, consequently we had melted ice cream with our cheesecake. We both felt we should not say anything as we did not want to be rude, but seriously guys this was over the top. Would we return?? yes most definitely but please stop the constant harassing!! :)

On hols at Coffs and ordered pizza. Obviously our delivery man had a mishap on the way to deliver our pizza to us. After emailing Maria's we were instantly impressed with the response we received. The manager called abd we were offered a free order for another night. On arriving to pick up our order they gave us many extras and were very lovely, apologetic and couldn't do enough for us. That's what I call excellent customer service. We will definitely order again when in coffs as the food was delicious. Many thanks.

Most disgusting behaviour by staff and most unprofessional management when complained about the food I was told " well don't come back " . Food was fatty as the vegies were fried not roasted . Been to way better Italian restaurants wouldn't recommend at all !!!!

I had never been to an Italian restaurant before but can say that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal

Wasnt impressed at all. Was on holiday in Coffs in Jan 2017. Waitress messed the order up. Food arrived at different times so one of us was finished way before the other. Steak was a dreadful cut and full of sinew. Yuk. Do not recommend it.

Nice restaurant with friendly efficient staff. Ordered a pizza as a starter which was lovely. However, with our mains, it went downhill. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca which had no mention of cream, upon arrival it was drowning in creamy risotto, and extra cream all over the dish, which was off putting and ruined the dish. My partner ordered the carbonara which has so much unchewable bacon fat and was way too cheesy which made him feel sick. We didn’t enjoy our mains.

The service was exemplary at this restaurant in Coffs Harbour! We were served by a lovely lady who was attentive and helpful. We went there with our dog who was very welcome.

Our drinks arrived quickly, followed by the food not long after. Our iced coffees and iced lattes were excellent - strong and not too milky.

For lunch, we ordered garlic prawn risotto, pesto gnocchi and the zucca risotto. The risottos were al dente and delightfully creamy, without being too heavy.

The gnocchi was smooth and flavoursome as well - the pesto was well seasoned and the pine nuts added a subtle crunch to the otherwise buttery texture.

We will definitely stop by again when we drive though Coffs Harbour next time!

Worst meal ever in a restaurant!!! WHERE IS THE OWNER/MANAGER to monitor what comes out of the kitchen. The venue looks the goods but what a disappointing meal. Italian salad appeared to have been sitting around getting soggy limp and warm. Everything a fresh salad is not! Then came the pizza - we are regular pizza diners ex Melbourne but this base was appalling, something between bread and scone. The toppings were dry and tasteless.
The service was quite good and attentive and upon asking us how our meals were, sadly we had to tell them.
There is clearly no management no guidelines of standards with the food. Def room for much improvement and CANNOT recommend.
Great Italian food but do not expect good service from this restaurant. The food took too long, more than 30 minutes and we didn't order steak so only pasta, pizza and bruschetta bread. Even the kid juice took more than 15 minutes to arrive.
Shafaq Alwash
Good service friendly staff delicious food
We ordered BBQ chicken pizza , alfredo chicken pizza, cheese pizza & polonaise pasta ... all of it were really good
The prices was responsible
Natalie
Wish I could give a 0 rating!!!!!!
Absolutely terrible terrible terrible! Waited over an hour for "authentic" pastas. Pasta? What pasta? All diced tomato and 3 strands of spaghetti. My daughter couldn't eat the kids penne because she couldn't see the pasta (the tomato sauce was covering it). Mind you- tomato sauce from a bottle would've tasted better.
Maria's Italian restaurant is definitely not owned by an Italian "Maria"!! It's owned by Sharon Jones from Coffs!!!!!!!
Worst meal of my life!!!!!!!

We had a very early dinner on a quiet Monday night. We were the only couple dining in.
The chilli, cheese & garlic pizza starter was light on chilli, but still delicious.
We shared oysters kilpatrick, enjoyable but unfortunately, far from hot enough.
He had the gnocci marinara with chilli which was rich, hearty and well cooked.
I had fettuccine boscaioli with chicken, which was again served far from hot enough, though I enjoyed the taste of the dish. (Should have sent both the oysters and the pasta back in hindsight.)
Overall it was good and reasonably priced.

Honestly worst pizza's I've ever had. Over priced, undercooked and underwhelming. Service was the only positive as the staff were lovely. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back
Maria
I got a calzone which came with rocket and pear salad which was absolutely amazing.
The place was pretty busy which is why I went in and the staff were friendly. Will be back

Thursday night early dinner, the place was not that busy but we still waited awhile for our meals to be served. I ordered the rib steak which was OK as well as the chicken schnitzel and fettucine carbonara my kids ordered.

Lovely local restaurant. Busy every time we've been there, which adds to the lively atmosphere. Quick service and friendly staff. Tried the spaghetti bolognese which tasted delicious. The rib fillet was slightly overcooked but still well flavoured. Overall a nice dining experience.

Maria's Italian Restaurant is a great family restaurant for all occasions. We came here last night with a group of 10 and we were well looked-after. The dishes are wholesome, authentic and very delicious. We ordered a couple of antipasto to share before the mains. The pizzas were delicious. The pizza base was not too doughy and there were generous toppings on the pizzas. Every bite was an explosion of flavours. The pasta was equally delicious and the veal looked just amazing. The garlic prawns and the schnitzels were a let down. The ambiance was very pleasant and it was an enjoyable dining experience.

We had a great experience here. We ordered chorizo puttanesca and penne arabiata. Both were absolutely magnificent. I ordered the wrong dish initially but they changed it promptly. Some of the best Italian we have ever had.

Great Service. Very happy with service! Although small meals, my kids were still hungry after eating kids size pasta (little girls), pizza was ok, average tomato based marinara......
Vonrap
Ordered take away. Pizzas .... Ordered take away.
Pizzas were not bad, base bit small and under cooked.
Ordered extra chicken with pasta, was no chicken at all

I ate here because my daughter wanted Cabonara. Would've rejected it after first minute. I was early & even though the doors were open & all seating out I was told to go away & come back later. The attitude at all times was that customers are a inconvenience. Can I put my order in early (only had 45 mins for dinner). Answer was a surly "nope". When I did return & let them know I would like to order I was ignored for 20 mins. The grumpy short shrift continued the whole time. The food followed suit - dated & uninspiring 80's style. No return policy from me.

Great food. Went to Marias on a busy night so the service wasn't all that fast. However, both my date and I loved our food. We both had the pesto dish and added chicken (different pasta for each of us) and it was fantastic. The pasta was cooked well, the flavour was rich and the chicken delicious. Our only real gripe was not to do with the service or resturant itself, but some of the other customers who were rude, obnoxious and had friends join them for half the meal (making the long shared table we all sat at crowded and uncomfortable) without actually ordering or eating.

Poor quality food. The family tried the pasta marinara(covered in sauce) and the vegie pizza(bland). So much for ITALIAN FOOD.

Service was quite slow...food was average, staff weren't useful... Overall was OK... Will try dining elsewhere for our next visit in Coffs Harbour...

Average. Came for the weekend and since sharing the same name thought we would eat here. We had the spaghetti marinara and thought I was eating Bolognese with seafood. I thought it was pretty average, the staff were very friendly though.
Yum
What Great Pasta. Dropped in for pasta and so glad we did. Marinara and carbonara were delicious. The garlic bread was boring, couldn't taste any garlic.

Nothing nice to say about this hole. The portions were large - but bland. The 'child's portion' was $3 cheaper than the main of the same item. Wife ordered the risotto - inedible. I had the seafood ravioli and it was bland and tasteless. The pasta itself was supermarket packet stuff which was disappointing. When asked the classic: "how ways everything guys?" I mentioned the risotto and was sagely met with a "ill let the kitchen know". Stuff the kitchen! tell the presumably inept work experience kid who served up the warm rubbish to begin with. What a dreadful waste of money. Should have spent the eighty odd bucks on 160 packets of 2-minute noodles, a bottle of fanta, and a kit kat. Choose one of the other places in this lovely town. This one sucked the big one...

Pretty good. Had a pleasant dinner here tonight. Meals were very reasonably priced and tasty. Service was a little off. Good initially and then we were forgotten about. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or coffee and no one presented us with a bill or asked if we needed anything else. Meals also came out quite slowly. In saying that the food was nice and for the price can't complain too much. Would go back.
